1. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, തേജസ്സുള്ളവനായി നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവില് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന നിങ്ങള് മുഖപക്ഷം കാണിക്കരുതു.
ഇയ്യോബ് 34:19, സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 24:7-10

1. Brethren, haue not the faith of oure LORDE Iesus Christ ye LORDE of glory in respecte of persons.

2. നിങ്ങളുടെ പള്ളിയില് മോടിയുള്ള വസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചും പൊന്മോതിരം ഇട്ടുംകൊണ്ടു ഒരുത്തനും മുഷിഞ്ഞ വസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചോരു ദരിദ്രനും വന്നാല്

2. Yf ther come in to yor copany a ma wt a golde rynge and in goodly aparell, & ther come in also a poore man in vyle raymet,

3. നിങ്ങള് മോടിയുള്ള വസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചവനെ നോക്കിഇവിടെ സുഖേന ഇരുന്നാലും എന്നും ദരിദ്രനോടുനീ അവിടെ നില്ക്ക; അല്ലെങ്കില് എന്റെ പാദപീഠത്തിങ്കല് ഇരിക്ക എന്നും പറയുന്നു എങ്കില്

3. & ye haue a respecte to him yt weareth the gaye clothinge & saye vnto hi: Sit thou here i a good place, & saye vnto ye poore, stonde thou there or sit here vnder my fote stole:

4. നിങ്ങള് ഉള്ളില് പ്രാമാണമില്ലാതെ ന്യായരഹിതമായി വിധിക്കുന്നവരായില്ലയോ?

4. are ye not parciall in youre selues, and haue iudged after euyll thoughtes?

5. പ്രിയ സഹോദരന്മാരേ, കേള്പ്പിന് ദൈവം ലോകത്തില് ദരിദ്രരായവരെ വിശ്വാസത്തില് സമ്പന്നരും തന്നേ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്ത രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ അവകാശികളുമാകേണ്ടതിന്നു തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തില്ലയോ? നിങ്ങളോ ദരിദ്രനെ അപമാനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

5. Harken my deare beloued brethre. Hath not God chosen the poore of this worlde, which are ryche in faith, and heyres of the kyngdom which he promysed to the that loue him?

6. ധനവാന്മാര് അല്ലയോ നിങ്ങളെ പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്നതു? അവര് അല്ലയോ നിങ്ങളെ ന്യായസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലേക്കു ഇഴെച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നതു?

6. But ye haue despised the poore. Are not the rych they which oppresse you: & they which drawe you before iudges?

7. നിങ്ങളുടെമേല് വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന നല്ല നാമത്തെ അവര് അല്ലയോ ദുഷിക്കുന്നതു?

7. Do not they speake euell of that good name after which ye be named.

8. എന്നാല് “കൂട്ടുകാരനെ നിന്നെപ്പോലെ തന്നേ സ്നേഹിക്കേണം” എന്ന തിരുവെഴുത്തിന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം രാജകീയന്യായപ്രമാണം നിങ്ങള് നിവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് നന്നു.

8. Yf ye fulfill the royall lawe acordinge to the scripture which saith: Thou shalt loue thyne neghbour as thyselfe, ye do well.

10. ഒരുത്തന് ന്യായപ്രമാണം മുഴുവനും അനുസരിച്ചു നടന്നിട്ടും ഒന്നില് തെറ്റിയാല് അവന് സകലത്തിന്നും കുറ്റക്കാരനായിത്തീര്ന്നു.

10. Whosoeuer shal kepe the whole lawe, and yet fayle in one poynt, he is gyltie in all.

11. വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യരുതു എന്നു കല്പിച്ചവന് കുല ചെയ്യരുതു എന്നും കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. നീ വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യുന്നില്ലെങ്കിലും കുല ചെയ്യുന്നു എങ്കില് ന്യായപ്രമാണം ലംഘിക്കുന്നവനായിത്തീര്ന്നു.

11. For he that sayde: Thou shalt not commit adulterie, sayed also: thou shalt not kyll. Though thou do none adulterie, yet yf thou kill, thou art a transgresser of the lawe.

12. So speake ye, and so do as they that shalbe iudged by the lawe of libertie.

13. കരുണ കാണിക്കാത്തവന്നു കരുണയില്ലാത്ത ന്യായവിധി ഉണ്ടാകും; കരുണ ന്യായവിധിയെ ജയിച്ചു പ്രശംസിക്കുന്നു.

13. For ther shalbe iudgement merciles to him that sheweth no mercy, & mercy reioiseth against iudgment.

14. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, ഒരുത്തന് തനിക്കു വിശ്വാസം ഉണ്ടു എന്നു പറകയും പ്രവൃത്തികള് ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്താല് ഉപകാരം എന്തു? ആ വിശ്വാസത്താല് അവന് രക്ഷ പ്രാപിക്കുമോ?

14. What a vayleth it my brethre, though a man saye he hath faith, when he hath no dedes? Can faith saue him?

15. ഒരു സഹോദരനോ, സഹോദരിയോ നഗ്നരും അഹോവൃത്തിക്കു വക ഇല്ലാത്ത വരുമായിരിക്കെ നിങ്ങളില് ഒരുത്തന് അവരോടു

15. If a brother or a sister be naked or destitute of dayly fode,

16. സമാധാനത്തോടെ പോയി തീ കായുകയും വിശപ്പടക്കുകയും ചെയ്വിന് എന്നു പറയുന്നതല്ലാതെ ദേഹരക്ഷെക്കു ആവശ്യമുള്ളതു അവര്ക്കും കൊടുക്കാതിരുന്നാല് ഉപകാരം എന്തു?

16. & one of you saye vnto them: Departe in peace, God sende you warmnes and fode: notwithstodinge ye geue them not tho thinges which are nedfull to the body: what helpeth it them?

17. അങ്ങനെ വിശ്വാസവും പ്രവൃത്തികളില്ലാത്തതായാല് സ്വതവെ നിര്ജ്ജീവമാകുന്നു.

17. Euen so faith, yf it haue no dedes, is deed in it selfe.

18. എന്നാല് ഒരുത്തന് നിനക്കു വിശ്വാസം ഉണ്ടു; എനിക്കു പ്രവൃത്തികള് ഉണ്ടു എന്നു പറയുമായിരിക്കും. നിന്റെ വിശ്വാസം പ്രവൃത്തികള് കൂടാതെ കാണിച്ചുതരിക; ഞാനും എന്റെ വിശ്വാസം പ്രവൃത്തികളാല് കാണിച്ചു തരാം.

18. Ye & a man might saye: Thou hast faith, and I haue dedes: Shewe me thy faith by thy dedes: and I wil shewe the my faith by my dedes.

19. ദൈവം ഏകന് എന്നു നീ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നുവോ; കൊള്ളാം; പിശാചുകളും അങ്ങനെ വിശ്വസിക്കയും വിറെക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

19. Beleuest thou yt ther is one God? Thou doest well. The deuils also beleue and tremble.

20. വ്യര്ത്ഥമനുഷ്യാ, പ്രവൃത്തിയില്ലാത്ത വിശ്വാസം നിഷ്ഫലമെന്നു ഗ്രഹിപ്പാന് നിനക്കു മനസ്സുണ്ടോ?

20. Wilt thou vnderstode o thou vayne man that faith with out dedes is deed:

21. നമ്മുടെ പിതാവായ അബ്രാഹാം തന്റെ മകനായ യിസ്ഹാക്കിനെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേല് അര്പ്പിച്ചിട്ടു പ്രവൃത്തിയാല് അല്ലയോ നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടതു?

21. Was not Abraham oure father iustified thorow workes when he offered Isaac his sonne vpon the aulter?

22. അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിയോടുകൂടെ വിശ്വാസം വ്യാപരിച്ചു എന്നും പ്രവൃത്തിയാല് വിശ്വാസം പൂര്ണ്ണമായി എന്നും നീ കാണുന്നുവല്ലോ.

22. Thou seist how yt faith wrought with his dedes, and through ye dedes was the faith made perfect:

23. അബ്രാഹാം ദൈവത്തെ വിശ്വസിക്കയും അതു അവന്നു നീതിയായി കണക്കിടുകയും ചെയ്തു എന്നുള്ള തിരുവെഴുത്തു നിവൃത്തിയായി അവന് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സ്നേഹിതന് എന്നു പേര് പ്രാപിച്ചു.

23. & the scripture was fulfilled which faith: Abraha beleued God and it was reputed vnto him for rightewesnes: and he was called ye frende of God.

24. അങ്ങനെ മനുഷ്യന് വെറും വിശ്വാസത്താലല്ല പ്രവൃത്തികളാല് തന്നേ നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് കാണുന്നു.

24. Ye se then how that of dedes a man is iustified, and not of faith only

25. അവ്വണ്ണം രാഹാബ് എന്ന വേശ്യയും ദൂതരെ കൈക്കൊള്കയും വേറൊരു വഴിയായി പറഞ്ഞയക്കയും ചെയ്തതില് പ്രവൃത്തികളാല് അല്ലയോ നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടതു?

25. Likewise also was not Raab the harlot iustified thorow workes, when she receaued the messengers, and sent them out another waye?

26. ഇങ്ങനെ ആത്മാവില്ലത്ത ശരീരം നിര്ജ്ജീവമായിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ പ്രവൃത്തിയില്ലാത്ത വിശ്വാസവും നിര്ജ്ജീവമാകുന്നു.

26. For as the body, with oute the sprete is deed, euen so faith wt out dedes is deed.
