1. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, തേജസ്സുള്ളവനായി നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവില് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന നിങ്ങള് മുഖപക്ഷം കാണിക്കരുതു.
ഇയ്യോബ് 34:19, സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 24:7-10

1. My brethren, haue not the fayth of our Lorde Iesus Christe, the Lord of glorie, with respect of persons.

2. നിങ്ങളുടെ പള്ളിയില് മോടിയുള്ള വസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചും പൊന്മോതിരം ഇട്ടുംകൊണ്ടു ഒരുത്തനും മുഷിഞ്ഞ വസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചോരു ദരിദ്രനും വന്നാല്

2. For yf there come into your companie a man wearing a golde ryng, clothed in goodly apparell, and there come in also a poore man in vile rayment:

3. നിങ്ങള് മോടിയുള്ള വസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചവനെ നോക്കിഇവിടെ സുഖേന ഇരുന്നാലും എന്നും ദരിദ്രനോടുനീ അവിടെ നില്ക്ക; അല്ലെങ്കില് എന്റെ പാദപീഠത്തിങ്കല് ഇരിക്ക എന്നും പറയുന്നു എങ്കില്

3. And ye haue a respect to hym that weareth the gay clothyng, and say vnto hym, sitte thou here in a good place: & say vnto the poore, stande thou there, or sitte here vnder my footestoole:

4. Are ye not partiall in your selues, and are made iudges of euyll thoughtes?

5. പ്രിയ സഹോദരന്മാരേ, കേള്പ്പിന് ദൈവം ലോകത്തില് ദരിദ്രരായവരെ വിശ്വാസത്തില് സമ്പന്നരും തന്നേ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്ത രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ അവകാശികളുമാകേണ്ടതിന്നു തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തില്ലയോ? നിങ്ങളോ ദരിദ്രനെ അപമാനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

5. Hearken my deare beloued brethren. Hath not God chosen the poore of this worlde, such as are riche in fayth, and heyres of the kyngdome, which he promised to them that loue hym?

6. ധനവാന്മാര് അല്ലയോ നിങ്ങളെ പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്നതു? അവര് അല്ലയോ നിങ്ങളെ ന്യായസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലേക്കു ഇഴെച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നതു?

6. But ye haue despised the poore. Do not riche men oppresse you by tirannie, and drawe you before the iudgementes seates?

7. നിങ്ങളുടെമേല് വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന നല്ല നാമത്തെ അവര് അല്ലയോ ദുഷിക്കുന്നതു?

7. Do not they blaspheme that good name by the which you are named?

8. എന്നാല് “കൂട്ടുകാരനെ നിന്നെപ്പോലെ തന്നേ സ്നേഹിക്കേണം” എന്ന തിരുവെഴുത്തിന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം രാജകീയന്യായപ്രമാണം നിങ്ങള് നിവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് നന്നു.

8. If ye fulfyll the royal lawe, according to the scripture, thou shalt loue thy neighbour as thy selfe, ye do well:

10. ഒരുത്തന് ന്യായപ്രമാണം മുഴുവനും അനുസരിച്ചു നടന്നിട്ടും ഒന്നില് തെറ്റിയാല് അവന് സകലത്തിന്നും കുറ്റക്കാരനായിത്തീര്ന്നു.

10. Whosoeuer shal kepe the whole lawe, and yet fayle in one poynt, he is gyltie of all.

11. വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യരുതു എന്നു കല്പിച്ചവന് കുല ചെയ്യരുതു എന്നും കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. നീ വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യുന്നില്ലെങ്കിലും കുല ചെയ്യുന്നു എങ്കില് ന്യായപ്രമാണം ലംഘിക്കുന്നവനായിത്തീര്ന്നു.

11. For he that sayde, thou shalt not commit adulterie: sayde also, thou shalt not kyll. Though thou do none adulterie, yet yf thou kyll, thou art become a transgressour of the lawe.

12. സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യത്തിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്താല് വിധിക്കപ്പെടുവാനുള്ളവരെപ്പോലെ സംസാരിക്കയും പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കയും ചെയ്വിന് .

12. So speake ye, and so do, as they that shalbe iudged by the lawe of libertie.

13. കരുണ കാണിക്കാത്തവന്നു കരുണയില്ലാത്ത ന്യായവിധി ഉണ്ടാകും; കരുണ ന്യായവിധിയെ ജയിച്ചു പ്രശംസിക്കുന്നു.

13. For he shall haue iudgement without mercie, that sheweth no mercie: And mercie reioyceth agaynst iudgement.

14. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, ഒരുത്തന് തനിക്കു വിശ്വാസം ഉണ്ടു എന്നു പറകയും പ്രവൃത്തികള് ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്താല് ഉപകാരം എന്തു? ആ വിശ്വാസത്താല് അവന് രക്ഷ പ്രാപിക്കുമോ?

14. What profiteth it my brethren, though a man say he hath fayth, and hath not deedes? Can fayth saue hym?

15. ഒരു സഹോദരനോ, സഹോദരിയോ നഗ്നരും അഹോവൃത്തിക്കു വക ഇല്ലാത്ത വരുമായിരിക്കെ നിങ്ങളില് ഒരുത്തന് അവരോടു

15. If a brother or a sister be naked, and destitute of dayly foode,

16. സമാധാനത്തോടെ പോയി തീ കായുകയും വിശപ്പടക്കുകയും ചെയ്വിന് എന്നു പറയുന്നതല്ലാതെ ദേഹരക്ഷെക്കു ആവശ്യമുള്ളതു അവര്ക്കും കൊടുക്കാതിരുന്നാല് ഉപകാരം എന്തു?

16. And one of you say vnto them, depart in peace, be you warmed and fylled: notwithstandyng, ye geue them not those thinges which are nedefull to, the body, what shall it profite?

17. അങ്ങനെ വിശ്വാസവും പ്രവൃത്തികളില്ലാത്തതായാല് സ്വതവെ നിര്ജ്ജീവമാകുന്നു.

17. Euen so, fayth, yf it haue not deedes, is dead in it selfe:

18. എന്നാല് ഒരുത്തന് നിനക്കു വിശ്വാസം ഉണ്ടു; എനിക്കു പ്രവൃത്തികള് ഉണ്ടു എന്നു പറയുമായിരിക്കും. നിന്റെ വിശ്വാസം പ്രവൃത്തികള് കൂടാതെ കാണിച്ചുതരിക; ഞാനും എന്റെ വിശ്വാസം പ്രവൃത്തികളാല് കാണിച്ചു തരാം.

18. But some man wyll say, thou hast fayth and I haue deedes: shewe me thy fayth by thy deedes, and I wyll shewe thee my faith by my deedes.

19. ദൈവം ഏകന് എന്നു നീ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നുവോ; കൊള്ളാം; പിശാചുകളും അങ്ങനെ വിശ്വസിക്കയും വിറെക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

19. Beleuest thou that there is one God? Thou doest well. The deuyls also beleue, and tremble.

20. വ്യര്ത്ഥമനുഷ്യാ, പ്രവൃത്തിയില്ലാത്ത വിശ്വാസം നിഷ്ഫലമെന്നു ഗ്രഹിപ്പാന് നിനക്കു മനസ്സുണ്ടോ?

20. But wylt thou knowe, O thou vayne man, that that fayth which is without workes, is dead?

21. നമ്മുടെ പിതാവായ അബ്രാഹാം തന്റെ മകനായ യിസ്ഹാക്കിനെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേല് അര്പ്പിച്ചിട്ടു പ്രവൃത്തിയാല് അല്ലയോ നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടതു?

21. Was not Abraham our father iustified through workes, when he had offered Isaac his sonne vpon the aulter?

22. അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിയോടുകൂടെ വിശ്വാസം വ്യാപരിച്ചു എന്നും പ്രവൃത്തിയാല് വിശ്വാസം പൂര്ണ്ണമായി എന്നും നീ കാണുന്നുവല്ലോ.

22. Seest thou not, howe ye faith wrought with his deedes, and through ye deedes was the fayth made perfect?

23. അബ്രാഹാം ദൈവത്തെ വിശ്വസിക്കയും അതു അവന്നു നീതിയായി കണക്കിടുകയും ചെയ്തു എന്നുള്ള തിരുവെഴുത്തു നിവൃത്തിയായി അവന് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സ്നേഹിതന് എന്നു പേര് പ്രാപിച്ചു.

23. And the scripture was fulfylled, which sayth: Abraham beleued God, and it was reputed vnto hym for ryghteousnesse: And he was called the friende of God.

24. അങ്ങനെ മനുഷ്യന് വെറും വിശ്വാസത്താലല്ല പ്രവൃത്തികളാല് തന്നേ നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് കാണുന്നു.

24. Ye see then, howe that of deedes a man is iustified, and not of fayth only.

25. അവ്വണ്ണം രാഹാബ് എന്ന വേശ്യയും ദൂതരെ കൈക്കൊള്കയും വേറൊരു വഴിയായി പറഞ്ഞയക്കയും ചെയ്തതില് പ്രവൃത്തികളാല് അല്ലയോ നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടതു?

25. Lykewyse also, was not Rahab the harlot iustified through workes, when she had receaued the messengers, and had sent them out another way?

26. ഇങ്ങനെ ആത്മാവില്ലത്ത ശരീരം നിര്ജ്ജീവമായിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ പ്രവൃത്തിയില്ലാത്ത വിശ്വാസവും നിര്ജ്ജീവമാകുന്നു.

26. For as the body without the spirite is dead: euen so, fayth without workes, is dead [also]
