1. യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ദാസനും അപ്പൊസ്തലനുമായ ശിമോന് പത്രൊസ്, നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെയും രക്ഷിതാവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെയും നീതിയാല് ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു ലഭിച്ചതുപോലെ അതേ വിലയേറിയ വിശ്വാസം ലഭിച്ചവര്ക്കും എഴുതുന്നതു

1. Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Yahushua the Messiah, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of YHWH and our Saviour Yahushua the Messiah:

2. ദൈവത്തിന്റെയും നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുവിന്റെയും പരിജ്ഞാനത്തില് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കൃപയും സമാധാനവും വര്ദ്ധിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ.

2. Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of YHWH, and of Yahushua our Master,

3. തന്റെ മഹത്വത്താലും വീര്യ്യത്താലും നമ്മെ വിളിച്ചവന്റെ പരിജ്ഞാനത്താല് അവന്റെ ദിവ്യശക്തി ജീവന്നും ഭക്തിക്കും വേണ്ടിയതു ഒക്കെയും നമുക്കു ദാനം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

3. According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and reverence, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

4. അവയാല് അവന് നമുക്കു വിലയേറിയതും അതിമഹത്തുമായ വാഗ്ദത്തങ്ങളും നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇവയാല് നിങ്ങള് ലോകത്തില് മോഹത്താലുള്ള നാശം വിട്ടൊഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ദിവ്യസ്വഭാവത്തിന്നു കൂട്ടാളികളായിത്തീരുവാന് ഇടവരുന്നു.

4. Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

5. അതുനിമിത്തം തന്നേ നിങ്ങള് സകലഉത്സാഹവും കഴിച്ചു, നിങ്ങളുടെ വിശ്വാസത്തോടു വീര്യ്യവും വീര്യ്യത്തോടു പരിജ്ഞാനവും

5. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

6. പരിജ്ഞാനത്തോടു ഇന്ദ്രീയജയവും ഇന്ദ്രീയജയത്തോടു സ്ഥിരതയും സ്ഥിരതയോടു ഭക്തിയും

6. And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience reverence;

7. ഭക്തിയോടു സഹോദരപ്രീതിയും സഹോദരപ്രീതിയോടു സ്നേഹവും കൂട്ടിക്കൊള്വിന് .

7. And to reverence brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

8. ഇവ നിങ്ങള്ക്കുണ്ടായി വര്ദ്ധിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് നിങ്ങള് നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ പരിജ്ഞാനം സംബന്ധിച്ചു ഉത്സാഹമില്ലാത്തവരും നിഷ്ഫലന്മാരും ആയിരിക്കയില്ല.

8. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Master Yahushua the Messiah.

9. അവയില്ലാത്തവനോ കുരുടന് അത്രേ; അവന് ഹ്രസ്വദൃഷ്ടിയുള്ളവനും തന്റെ മുമ്പിലത്തെ പാപങ്ങളുടെ ശുദ്ധീകരണം മറന്നവനും തന്നേ.

9. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

10. അതുകൊണ്ടു സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ വിളിയും തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പും ഉറപ്പാക്കുവാന് അധികം ശ്രമിപ്പിന് .

10. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

11. ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്താല് നിങ്ങള് ഒരുനാളും ഇടറിപ്പോകാതെ നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവും രക്ഷിതാവുമായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നിത്യരാജ്യത്തിലേക്കുള്ള പ്രവേശനം ധാരാളമായി പ്രാപിക്കും.

11. For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Master and Saviour Yahushua the Messiah.

12. അതുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങള് അറിഞ്ഞവരും ലഭിച്ച സത്യത്തില് ഉറെച്ചു നിലക്കുന്നവരും എന്നു വരികിലും ഇതു നിങ്ങളെ എപ്പോഴും ഔര്പ്പിപ്പാന് ഞാന് ഒരുങ്ങിയിരിക്കും.

12. Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.

13. നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തു എനിക്കു അറിവു തന്നതുപോലെ എന്റെ കൂടാരം പൊളിഞ്ഞുപോകുവാന് അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കയാല്

13. Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;

14. ഞാന് ഈ കൂടാരത്തില് ഇരിക്കുന്നേടത്തോളം നിങ്ങളെ ഔര്പ്പിച്ചുണര്ത്തുക യുക്തം എന്നു വിചാരിക്കുന്നു.

14. Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Master Yahushua the Messiah hath shewed me.

15. നിങ്ങള് അതു എന്റെ നിര്യ്യാണത്തിന്റെശേഷം എപ്പോഴും ഔര്ത്തു കൊള്വാന്തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാന് ഉത്സാഹിക്കും.

15. Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance.

16. ഞങ്ങള് നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ശക്തിയും പ്രത്യക്ഷതയും നിങ്ങളോടു അറിയിച്ചതു നിര്മ്മിതകഥകളെ പ്രമാണിച്ചിട്ടല്ല, അവന്റെ മഹിമ കണ്ട സാക്ഷികളായിത്തീര്ന്നിട്ടത്രേ.

16. For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Master Yahushua the Messiah, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

17. “ഇവന് എന്റെ പ്രിയപുത്രന് ; ഇവങ്കല് ഞാന് പ്രസാദിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്നുള്ള ശബ്ദം അതി ശ്രേഷ്ഠതേജസ്സിങ്കല് നിന്നു വന്നപ്പോള് പിതാവായ ദൈവത്താല് അവന്നു മാനവും തേജസ്സും ലഭിച്ചു.

17. For he received from YHWH the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

18. ഞങ്ങള് അവനോടുകൂടെ വിശുദ്ധപര്വ്വതത്തില് ഇരിക്കുമ്പോള് സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് നിന്നും ഈ ശബ്ദം ഉണ്ടായതു കേട്ടു.

18. And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.

19. പ്രവാചകവാക്യവും അധികം സ്ഥിരമായിട്ടു നമുക്കുണ്ടു. നേരം വെളുക്കുകയും നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളില് ഉദയനക്ഷത്രം ഉദിക്കയും ചെയ്വോളം ഇരുണ്ടു സ്ഥലത്തു പ്രകാശിക്കുന്ന വിളകൂപോലെ അതിനെ കരുതിക്കൊണ്ടാല് നന്നു.

19. We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

20. തിരുവെഴുത്തിലെ പ്രവചനം ഒന്നും സ്വയമായ വ്യാഖ്യാനത്താല് ഉളവാകുന്നതല്ല എന്നു ആദ്യം തന്നേ അറിഞ്ഞു കൊള്ളേണം.

20. Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

21. പ്രവചനം ഒരിക്കലും മനുഷ്യന്റെ ഇഷ്ടത്താല് വന്നതല്ല, ദൈവകല്പനയാല് മനുഷ്യര് പരിശുദ്ധാത്മനിയോഗം പ്രാപിച്ചിട്ടു സംസാരിച്ചതത്രേ.

21. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of YHWH spake as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
