1. അപ്പോള് ചുറ്റും നിലക്കുന്നവരുടെ മുമ്പില് തന്നെത്താന് അടക്കുവാന് വഹിയാതെഎല്ലാവരെയും എന്റെ അടുക്കല് നിന്നു പുറത്താക്കുവിന് എന്നു യോസേഫ് വിളിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു. ഇങ്ങനെ യോസേഫ് തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാര്ക്കും തന്നെ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയപ്പോള് ആരും അടുക്കല് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.

1. Joseph was no longer able to control his feelings in front of his servants, so he ordered them all to leave the room. No one else was with him when Joseph told his brothers who he was.

2. അവന് ഉച്ചത്തില് കരഞ്ഞു; മിസ്രയീമ്യരും ഫറവോന്റെ ഗൃഹവും അതു കേട്ടു.

2. He cried with such loud sobs that the Egyptians heard it, and the news was taken to the king's palace.

3. യോസേഫ് സഹോദരന്മാരോടുഞാന് യോസേഫ് ആകുന്നു; എന്റെ അപ്പന് ജീവനോടിരിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാര് അവന്റെ സന്നിധിയില് ഭ്രമിച്ചുപോയതുകൊണ്ടു അവനോടു ഉത്തരം പറവാന് അവര്ക്കും കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.

3. Joseph said to his brothers, 'I am Joseph. Is my father still alive?' But when his brothers heard this, they were so terrified that they could not answer.

4. Then Joseph said to them, 'Please come closer.' They did, and he said, 'I am your brother Joseph, whom you sold into Egypt.

5. Now do not be upset or blame yourselves because you sold me here. It was really God who sent me ahead of you to save people's lives.

6. ദേശത്തു ക്ഷാമം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടു ഇപ്പോള് രണ്ടു സംവത്സരമായി; ഉഴവും കൊയ്ത്തും ഇല്ലാത്ത അഞ്ചു സംവത്സരം ഇനിയും ഉണ്ടു.

6. This is only the second year of famine in the land; there will be five more years in which there will be neither plowing nor reaping.

7. ഭൂമിയില് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു സന്തതി ശേഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും വലിയോരു രക്ഷയാല് നിങ്ങളുടെ ജീവനെ രക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും ദൈവം എന്നെ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു മുമ്പെ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

7. God sent me ahead of you to rescue you in this amazing way and to make sure that you and your descendants survive.

8. ആകയാല് നിങ്ങള് അല്ല, ദൈവം അത്രേ എന്നെ ഇവിടെ അയച്ചതു; അവന് എന്നെ ഫറവോന്നു പിതാവും അവന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തിന്നു ഒക്കെയും യജമാനനും മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തിന്നൊക്കെയും അധിപതിയും ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

8. So it was not really you who sent me here, but God. He has made me the king's highest official. I am in charge of his whole country; I am the ruler of all Egypt.

9. നിങ്ങള് ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ടു എന്റെ അപ്പന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു അവനോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്നിന്റെ മകനായ യോസേഫ് ഇപ്രകാരം പറയുന്നുദൈവം എന്നെ മിസ്രയീമിന്നൊക്കെയും അധിപതിയാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ താമസിയാതെ എന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരേണം.

9. 'Now hurry back to my father and tell him that this is what his son Joseph says: 'God has made me ruler of all Egypt; come to me without delay.

10. നീ ഗോശെന് ദേശത്തു പാര്ത്തു എനിക്കു സമീപമായിരിക്കും; നീയും മക്കളും മക്കളുടെ മക്കളും നിന്റെ ആടുകളും കന്നുകാലികളും നിനക്കുള്ളതൊക്കെയും തന്നേ.

10. You can live in the region of Goshen, where you can be near me---you, your children, your grandchildren, your sheep, your goats, your cattle, and everything else that you have.

11. നിനക്കും കുടുംബത്തിന്നും നിനക്കുള്ള സകലത്തിന്നും ദാരിദ്ര്യം നേരിടാതവണ്ണം ഞാന് അവിടെ നിന്നെ പോഷിപ്പിക്കും; ക്ഷാമം ഇനിയും അഞ്ചു സംവത്സരം നിലക്കും.

11. If you are in Goshen, I can take care of you. There will still be five years of famine; and I do not want you, your family, and your livestock to starve.' '

12. ഇതാ, ഞാന് തന്നേ നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങളും എന്റെ അനുജന് ബെന്യാമീനും കണ്ണാലെ കാണുന്നുവല്ലോ.

12. Joseph continued, 'Now all of you, and you too, Benjamin, can see that I am really Joseph.

13. മിസ്രയീമില് എനിക്കുള്ള മഹത്വവും നിങ്ങള് കണ്ടതൊക്കെയും അപ്പനെ അറിയിക്കേണം; എന്റെ അപ്പനെ വേഗത്തില് ഇവിടെ കൊണ്ടുവരികയും വേണം.

13. Tell my father how powerful I am here in Egypt and tell him about everything that you have seen. Then hurry and bring him here.'

14. അവന് തന്റെ അനുജന് ബെന്യാമീനെ കെട്ടിപ്പിടിച്ചു കരഞ്ഞു; ബെന്യാമീന് അവനെയും കെട്ടിപ്പിടിച്ചു കരഞ്ഞു.

14. He threw his arms around his brother Benjamin and began to cry; Benjamin also cried as he hugged him.

15. അവന് സഹോദരന്മാരെ ഒക്കെയും ചുംബിച്ചു കെട്ടിപ്പിടിച്ചു കരഞ്ഞു; അതിന്റെ ശേഷം സഹോദരന്മാര് അവനുമായി സല്ലാപിച്ചു.

15. Then, still weeping, he embraced each of his brothers and kissed them. After that, his brothers began to talk with him.

16. യോസേഫിന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാര് വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നുള്ള കേള്വി ഫറവോന്റെ അരമനയില് എത്തി; അതു ഫറവോന്നും അവന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാര്ക്കും സന്തോഷമായി.

16. When the news reached the palace that Joseph's brothers had come, the king and his officials were pleased.

17. ഫറവോന് യോസേഫിനോടു പറഞ്ഞതുനിന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരോടു നീ പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്നിങ്ങള് ഇതു ചെയ്വിന് നിങ്ങളുടെ മൃഗങ്ങളുടെ പുറത്തു ചുമടുകയറ്റി പുറപ്പെട്ടു കനാന് ദേശത്തു ചെന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ

17. He said to Joseph, 'Tell your brothers to load their animals and to return to the land of Canaan.

18. അപ്പനെയും കുടുംബങ്ങളെയും കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു എന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരുവിന് ; ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു മിസ്രയീംരാജ്യത്തിലെ നന്മ തരും; ദേശത്തിന്റെ പുഷ്ടി നിങ്ങള് അനുഭവിക്കും.

18. Let them get their father and their families and come back here. I will give them the best land in Egypt, and they will have more than enough to live on.

19. നിനക്കു കല്പന തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇതാകുന്നു നിങ്ങള് ചെയ്യേണ്ടതുനിങ്ങളുടെ പൈതങ്ങള്ക്കും ഭാര്യമാര്ക്കും വേണ്ടി മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു നിന്നു രഥങ്ങള് കൊണ്ടുപോയി നിങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പനെ കയറ്റി കൊണ്ടുവരേണം.

19. Tell them also to take wagons with them from Egypt for their wives and small children and to bring their father with them.

20. നിങ്ങളുടെ സാമാനങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു ചിന്തിക്കേണ്ടാ; മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തെങ്ങുമുള്ള നന്മ നിങ്ങള്ക്കുള്ളതു ആകുന്നു.

20. They are not to worry about leaving their possessions behind; the best in the whole land of Egypt will be theirs.'

21. യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര് അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ചെയ്തു; യേസേഫ് അവര്ക്കും ഫറവോന്റെ കല്പന പ്രകാരം രഥങ്ങള് കൊടുത്തു; വഴിക്കു വേണ്ടുന്ന ആഹാരവും കൊടുത്തു.

21. Jacob's sons did as they were told. Joseph gave them wagons, as the king had ordered, and food for the trip.

22. അവരില് ഔരോരുത്തന്നു ഔരോ വസ്ത്രവും ബെന്യാമീന്നോ മുന്നൂറു വെള്ളിക്കാശും അഞ്ചു വസ്ത്രവും കൊടുത്തു.

22. He also gave each of them a change of clothes, but he gave Benjamin three hundred pieces of silver and five changes of clothes.

23. അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ അവന് തന്റെ അപ്പന്നു പത്തു കഴുതപ്പുറത്തു മിസ്രയീമിലെ വിശേഷ സാധനങ്ങളും പത്തു പെണ്കഴുതപ്പുറത്തു വഴിച്ചെലവിന്നു ധാന്യവും ആഹാരവും കയറ്റി അയച്ചു.

23. He sent his father ten donkeys loaded with the best Egyptian goods and ten donkeys loaded with grain, bread, and other food for the trip.

24. അങ്ങനെ അവന് തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരെ യാത്ര അയച്ചു; അവര് പുറപ്പെടുമ്പോള്നിങ്ങള് വഴിയില് വെച്ചു ശണ്ഠകൂടരുതെന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

24. He sent his brothers off and as they left, he said to them, 'Don't quarrel on the way.'

25. അവര് മിസ്രയീമില് നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു കനാന് ദേശത്തു അപ്പനായ യാക്കോബിന്റെ അടുക്കല് എത്തി.

25. They left Egypt and went back home to their father Jacob in Canaan.

26. അവനോടുയോസേഫ് ജീവനോടിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന് മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തിന്നൊക്കെയും അധിപതിയാകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അപ്പോള് യാക്കോബ് സ്തംഭിച്ചുപോയി; അവര് പറഞ്ഞതു വിശ്വസിച്ചതുമില്ല.

26. 'Joseph is still alive!' they told him. 'He is the ruler of all Egypt!' Jacob was stunned and could not believe them.

27. യോസേഫ് തങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞവാക്കുകളൊക്കെയും അവര് അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു; തന്നെ കയറ്റികൊണ്ടു പോകുവാന് യോസേഫ് അയച്ച രഥങ്ങളെ കണ്ടപ്പോള് അവരുടെ അപ്പനായ യാക്കോബിന്നു വീണ്ടും ചൈതന്യം വന്നു.

27. But when they told him all that Joseph had said to them, and when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to take him to Egypt, he recovered from the shock.

28. മതി; എന്റെ മകന് യേസേഫ് ജീവനോടിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് മരിക്കുംമുമ്പെ അവനെ പോയി കാണും എന്നു യിസ്രായേല് പറഞ്ഞു.

28. 'My son Joseph is still alive!' he said. 'This is all I could ask for! I must go and see him before I die.'
