1. ഇതു യഹോവയായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയം; ഇതു യിസ്രായേലിന്നു ഹോമപീഠം എന്നു ദാവീദ് പറഞ്ഞു.

1. David said, 'The temple of the LORD God must be built right here at this threshing place. And the altar for offering sacrifices will also be here.'

2. അനന്തരം ദാവീദ് യിസ്രായേല്ദേശത്തിലെ അന്യജാതിക്കാരെ കൂട്ടിവരുത്തുവാന് കല്പിച്ചു; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയം പണിവാന് ചതുരക്കല്ലു ചെത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന് കല്പണിക്കാരെ നിയമിച്ചു.

2. David ordered the foreigners living in Israel to come to Jerusalem. Then he assigned some to cut blocks of stone for building the temple.

3. ദാവീദ് പടിവാതില്കതകുകളുടെ ആണികള്ക്കായിട്ടും കൊളുത്തുകള്ക്കായിട്ടും വളരെ ഇരിമ്പും തൂക്കമില്ലാതെ വളരെ താമ്രവും അനവധി ദേവദാരുവും ഒരുക്കി വെച്ചു.

3. He got a large supply of iron to make into nails and hinges for the doors, and he provided so much bronze that it could not be weighed.

4. സീദോന്യരും സോര്യ്യരും അനവധി ദേവദാരു ദാവീദിന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു. എന്റെ മകന് ശലോമോന് ചെറുപ്പവും ഇളംപ്രായവുമുള്ളവന് ആകുന്നു; യഹോവെക്കായി പണിയേണ്ടുന്ന ആലയമോ കീര്ത്തിയും ശോഭയുംകൊണ്ടു സര്വ്വദേശങ്ങള്ക്കും അതിമഹത്വമുള്ളതായിരിക്കേണം.

4. He also had cedar logs brought in from the cities of Sidon and Tyre.

5. ആകയാല് ഞാന് അതിന്നു തക്കവണ്ണം വട്ടംകൂട്ടും എന്നു ദാവീദ് പറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ ദാവീദ് തന്റെ മരണത്തിന്നു മുമ്പെ ധാരാളം വട്ടംകൂട്ടി.

5. He said, 'The temple for the LORD must be great, so that everyone in the world will know about it. But since my son Solomon is young and has no experience, I will make sure that everything is ready for the temple to be built.' That's why David did all these things before he died.

6. അവന് തന്റെ മകനായ ശലോമോനെ വിളിച്ചു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേക്കു ഒരു ആലയം പണിവാന് കല്പന കൊടുത്തു.

6. David sent for his son Solomon and told him to build a temple for the LORD God of Israel.

7. ദാവീദ് ശലോമോനോടു പറഞ്ഞതുമകനേ, ഞാന് തന്നേ എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിന്നു ഒരു ആലയം പണിവാന് താല്പര്യപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.

7. He said: My son, I wanted to build a temple where the LORD my God would be worshiped.

8. എങ്കിലും എനിക്കു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു ഉണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്നീ വളരെ രക്തം ചിന്തി വലിയ യുദ്ധങ്ങളും ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടു; നീ എന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു ഒരു ആലയം പണിയരുതു; നീ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ഭൂമിയില് ബഹു രക്തം ചിന്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

8. But some time ago, he told me, 'David, you have killed too many people and have fought too many battles. That's why you are not the one to build my temple.

9. എന്നാല് നിനക്കു ഒരു മകന് ജനിക്കും; അവന് വിശ്രമപുരുഷനായിരിക്കും; ഞാന് ചുറ്റുമുള്ള അവന്റെ സകലശത്രുക്കളെയും നീക്കി അവന്നു വിശ്രമം കൊടുക്കും; അവന്റെ പേര് ശലോമോന് എന്നു ആയിരിക്കും; അവന്റെ കാലത്തു ഞാന് യിസ്രായേലിന്നു സമാധാനവും സ്വസ്ഥതയും നലകും.

9. But when your son becomes king, I will give him peace throughout his kingdom. His name will be Solomon, because during his rule I will keep Israel safe and peaceful.

10. അവന് എന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു ഒരു ആലയം പണിയും; അവന് എനിക്കു മകനായും ഞാന് അവന്നു അപ്പനായും ഇരിക്കും; യിസ്രായേലില് അവന്റെ രാജാസനം ഞാന് എന്നേക്കും നിലനിലക്കുമാറാക്കും.

10. Solomon will build my temple. He will be like a son to me, and I will be like a father to him. In fact, one of his descendants will always rule in Israel.'

11. ആകയാല് എന്റെ മകനേ, യഹോവ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ; നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ നീ കൃതാര്ത്ഥനായി അവന്റെ ആലയം പണിക.

11. Solomon, my son, I now pray that the LORD your God will be with you and keep his promise to help you build a temple for him.

12. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം നീ ആചരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യഹോവ നിനക്കു ജ്ഞാനവും വിവേകവും തന്നു നിന്നെ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു നിയമിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ.

12. May he give you wisdom and knowledge, so that you can rule Israel according to his Law.

13. യഹോവ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു വേണ്ടി മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ച ചട്ടങ്ങളും വിധികളും നീ പ്രമാണിച്ചാചരിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് നീ കൃതാര്ത്ഥനാകും; ധൈര്യപ്പെട്ടു ഉറെച്ചിരിക്ക; ഭയപ്പെടരുതു, ഭ്രമിക്കയും അരുതു.

13. If you obey the laws and teachings that the LORD gave Moses, you will be successful. Be strong and brave and don't get discouraged or be afraid of anything.

14. ഇതാ, ഞാന് എന്റെ കഷ്ടത്തില് യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്നായി ഒരു ലക്ഷം താലന്ത് പൊന്നും പത്തു ലക്ഷം താലന്ത് വെള്ളിയും പെരുപ്പം നിമിത്തം തൂക്കമില്ലാത്ത താമ്രവും ഇരിമ്പും സ്വരൂപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടു; മരവും കല്ലുംകൂടെ ഞാന് ഒരുക്കിവെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നിനക്കു ഇനിയും അതിനോടു ചേര്ത്തുകൊള്ളാമല്ലോ.

14. I have all the supplies you'll need to build the temple: You have four thousand tons of gold and forty thousand tons of silver. There's also plenty of wood, stone, and more bronze and iron than I could weigh. Ask for anything else you need.

15. നിന്റെ സ്വാധീനത്തില് കല്ലുവെട്ടുകാര്, കല്പണിക്കാര്, ആശാരികള് എന്നിങ്ങനെ അനവധി പണിക്കാരും സകലവിധ കൌശലപ്പണിക്കാരും ഉണ്ടല്ലോ;

15. I have also assigned men who will cut and lay the stone. And there are carpenters and people who are experts in working with

16. പൊന്നു, വെള്ളി, താമ്രം, ഇരിമ്പു എന്നിവ ധാരാളം ഉണ്ടു; ഉത്സാഹിച്ചു പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചുകൊള്ക; യഹോവ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ.

16. gold, silver, bronze, and iron. You have plenty of workers to do the job. Now get started, and I pray that the LORD will be with you in your work.

17. ദാവീദ് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സകലപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരോടും തന്റെ മകനായ ശലോമോനെ സഹായിപ്പാന് കല്പിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞതു

17. David then gave orders for the leaders of Israel to help Solomon.

18. നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിങ്ങളോടു കൂടെ ഉണ്ടല്ലോ; അവന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ചുറ്റും വിശ്രമം വരുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു. അവന് ദേശനിവാസികളെ എന്റെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിച്ചു ദേശം യഹോവേക്കും അവന്റെ ജനത്തിന്നും കീഴടങ്ങിയുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

18. David said: The LORD our God has helped me defeat all the people who lived here before us, and he has given you peace from all your enemies. Now this land belongs to the LORD and his people.

19. ആകയാല് നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ അന്വേഷിപ്പാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയവും മനസ്സും ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുപ്പിന് . എഴുന്നേല്പിന് ; യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകവും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധപാത്രങ്ങളും യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിന്നു പണിവാനുള്ള ആലയത്തിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുവരേണ്ടതിന്നു യഹോവയായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തെ പണിവിന് .

19. Obey the LORD your God with your heart and soul. Begin work on the temple to honor him, so that the sacred chest and the things used for worship can be kept there.
