1. ഇതു യഹോവയായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയം; ഇതു യിസ്രായേലിന്നു ഹോമപീഠം എന്നു ദാവീദ് പറഞ്ഞു.

1. David said, 'The Temple of the Lord God and the altar for burning offerings for the Israelites will be built here.'

2. അനന്തരം ദാവീദ് യിസ്രായേല്ദേശത്തിലെ അന്യജാതിക്കാരെ കൂട്ടിവരുത്തുവാന് കല്പിച്ചു; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയം പണിവാന് ചതുരക്കല്ലു ചെത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന് കല്പണിക്കാരെ നിയമിച്ചു.

2. David gave an order for all foreigners living in Israel to be gathered together. He chose stonecutters from that group of foreigners. Their job was to cut stones ready to be used for building God's Temple.

3. ദാവീദ് പടിവാതില്കതകുകളുടെ ആണികള്ക്കായിട്ടും കൊളുത്തുകള്ക്കായിട്ടും വളരെ ഇരിമ്പും തൂക്കമില്ലാതെ വളരെ താമ്രവും അനവധി ദേവദാരുവും ഒരുക്കി വെച്ചു.

3. David got iron for making nails and hinges for the gate doors. He also got more bronze than could be weighed

4. സീദോന്യരും സോര്യ്യരും അനവധി ദേവദാരു ദാവീദിന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു. എന്റെ മകന് ശലോമോന് ചെറുപ്പവും ഇളംപ്രായവുമുള്ളവന് ആകുന്നു; യഹോവെക്കായി പണിയേണ്ടുന്ന ആലയമോ കീര്ത്തിയും ശോഭയുംകൊണ്ടു സര്വ്വദേശങ്ങള്ക്കും അതിമഹത്വമുള്ളതായിരിക്കേണം.

4. and more cedar logs than could be counted. The people from the cities of Sidon and Tyre brought many cedar logs to David.

5. ആകയാല് ഞാന് അതിന്നു തക്കവണ്ണം വട്ടംകൂട്ടും എന്നു ദാവീദ് പറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ ദാവീദ് തന്റെ മരണത്തിന്നു മുമ്പെ ധാരാളം വട്ടംകൂട്ടി.

5. David said, 'We should build a very great Temple for the Lord, but my son Solomon is young and he hasn't learned what he needs to know. The Lord's Temple should be very great. It should be famous in all the nations because of its greatness and beauty. That is why I will make plans for building the Lord's Temple.' So David made many plans for building the Temple before he died.

6. അവന് തന്റെ മകനായ ശലോമോനെ വിളിച്ചു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേക്കു ഒരു ആലയം പണിവാന് കല്പന കൊടുത്തു.

6. Then David called for his son Solomon and told him to build the Temple for the Lord, the God of Israel.

7. ദാവീദ് ശലോമോനോടു പറഞ്ഞതുമകനേ, ഞാന് തന്നേ എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിന്നു ഒരു ആലയം പണിവാന് താല്പര്യപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.

7. David said to Solomon, 'My son, I wanted to build a temple for the name of the Lord my God.

8. എങ്കിലും എനിക്കു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു ഉണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്നീ വളരെ രക്തം ചിന്തി വലിയ യുദ്ധങ്ങളും ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടു; നീ എന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു ഒരു ആലയം പണിയരുതു; നീ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ഭൂമിയില് ബഹു രക്തം ചിന്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

8. But the Lord said to me, 'David, you have fought many wars and you have killed many people. So you cannot build a temple for my name.

9. എന്നാല് നിനക്കു ഒരു മകന് ജനിക്കും; അവന് വിശ്രമപുരുഷനായിരിക്കും; ഞാന് ചുറ്റുമുള്ള അവന്റെ സകലശത്രുക്കളെയും നീക്കി അവന്നു വിശ്രമം കൊടുക്കും; അവന്റെ പേര് ശലോമോന് എന്നു ആയിരിക്കും; അവന്റെ കാലത്തു ഞാന് യിസ്രായേലിന്നു സമാധാനവും സ്വസ്ഥതയും നലകും.

9. But you have a son who is a man of peace. I will give your son a time of peace. His enemies around him will not bother him. His name is Solomon. And I will give Israel peace and quiet during the time that he is king.

10. അവന് എന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു ഒരു ആലയം പണിയും; അവന് എനിക്കു മകനായും ഞാന് അവന്നു അപ്പനായും ഇരിക്കും; യിസ്രായേലില് അവന്റെ രാജാസനം ഞാന് എന്നേക്കും നിലനിലക്കുമാറാക്കും.

10. Solomon will build a temple for my name. He will be my son, and I will be his Father. I will make his kingdom strong, and someone from his family will rule Israel forever!''

11. ആകയാല് എന്റെ മകനേ, യഹോവ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ; നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ നീ കൃതാര്ത്ഥനായി അവന്റെ ആലയം പണിക.

11. David also said, 'Now, son, may the Lord be with you. May you be successful and build the Temple for the Lord your God, as he said you would.

12. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം നീ ആചരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യഹോവ നിനക്കു ജ്ഞാനവും വിവേകവും തന്നു നിന്നെ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു നിയമിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ.

12. He will make you the king of Israel. May the Lord give you wisdom and understanding so that you can lead the people and obey the law of the Lord your God.

13. യഹോവ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു വേണ്ടി മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ച ചട്ടങ്ങളും വിധികളും നീ പ്രമാണിച്ചാചരിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് നീ കൃതാര്ത്ഥനാകും; ധൈര്യപ്പെട്ടു ഉറെച്ചിരിക്ക; ഭയപ്പെടരുതു, ഭ്രമിക്കയും അരുതു.

13. And you will have success, if you are careful to obey the rules and laws that the Lord gave Moses for Israel. Be strong and brave. Don't be afraid.

14. ഇതാ, ഞാന് എന്റെ കഷ്ടത്തില് യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്നായി ഒരു ലക്ഷം താലന്ത് പൊന്നും പത്തു ലക്ഷം താലന്ത് വെള്ളിയും പെരുപ്പം നിമിത്തം തൂക്കമില്ലാത്ത താമ്രവും ഇരിമ്പും സ്വരൂപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടു; മരവും കല്ലുംകൂടെ ഞാന് ഒരുക്കിവെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നിനക്കു ഇനിയും അതിനോടു ചേര്ത്തുകൊള്ളാമല്ലോ.

14. Solomon, I have worked hard making plans for building the Lord's Temple. I have given 3750 tons of gold and about 37,500 tons of silver. I have given so much bronze and iron that it cannot be weighed. And I have given wood and stone. Solomon, you can add to them.

15. നിന്റെ സ്വാധീനത്തില് കല്ലുവെട്ടുകാര്, കല്പണിക്കാര്, ആശാരികള് എന്നിങ്ങനെ അനവധി പണിക്കാരും സകലവിധ കൌശലപ്പണിക്കാരും ഉണ്ടല്ലോ;

15. You have many stonecutters and carpenters. You have men skilled in every kind of work.

16. പൊന്നു, വെള്ളി, താമ്രം, ഇരിമ്പു എന്നിവ ധാരാളം ഉണ്ടു; ഉത്സാഹിച്ചു പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചുകൊള്ക; യഹോവ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ.

16. They are skilled in working with gold, silver, bronze, and iron. You have more skilled workers than can be counted. Now begin the work. And may the Lord be with you.'

17. ദാവീദ് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സകലപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരോടും തന്റെ മകനായ ശലോമോനെ സഹായിപ്പാന് കല്പിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞതു

17. Then David ordered all the leaders of Israel to help his son Solomon.

18. നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിങ്ങളോടു കൂടെ ഉണ്ടല്ലോ; അവന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ചുറ്റും വിശ്രമം വരുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു. അവന് ദേശനിവാസികളെ എന്റെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിച്ചു ദേശം യഹോവേക്കും അവന്റെ ജനത്തിന്നും കീഴടങ്ങിയുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

18. David said to these leaders, 'The Lord your God is with you. He has given you a time of peace. He helped me defeat the people living around us. The Lord and his people are now in control of this land.

19. ആകയാല് നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ അന്വേഷിപ്പാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയവും മനസ്സും ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുപ്പിന് . എഴുന്നേല്പിന് ; യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകവും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധപാത്രങ്ങളും യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിന്നു പണിവാനുള്ള ആലയത്തിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുവരേണ്ടതിന്നു യഹോവയായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തെ പണിവിന് .

19. Now give your heart and soul to the Lord your God, and do what he says. Build the holy place of the Lord God. Build the Temple for the Lord's name. Then bring the Box of the Agreement and all the other holy things into the Temple.'
