1. യിസ്രായേല്പുത്രന്മാര് ആളെണ്ണപ്രകാരം പിതൃഭവനത്തലവന്മാരും സഹസ്രാധിപന്മാരും ശതാധിപന്മാരും സംവത്സരത്തിലെ സകലമാസങ്ങളിലും മാസാന്തരം വരികയും പോകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന അതതു ക്കുറുകളുടെ ഔരോ പ്രവൃത്തിയിലും രാജാവിന്നു സേവ ചെയ്തുപോന്ന അവരുടെ പ്രമാണികളും ആകെ ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരം പേര്.

1. Now the children of Israel after their number, {cf15i to wit}, the heads of fathers {cf15i houses} and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and their officers that served the king, in any matter of the courses which came in and went out month by month throughout all the months of the year, of every course were twenty and four thousand.

8. The fifth captain for the fifth month was Shamhuth the Izrahite: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

9. ആറാം മാസത്തേക്കുള്ള ആറാമത്തവന് തെക്കോവ്യനായ ഇക്കേശിന്റെ മകന് ഈരാ; അവന്റെ ക്കുറിലും ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരംപേര്.

9. The sixth {cf15i captain} for the sixth month was Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

10. ഏഴാം മാസത്തേക്കുള്ള ഏഴാമത്തവന് എഫ്രയീമ്യരില് പെലോന്യനായ ഹേലെസ്; അവന്റെ ക്കുറിലും ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരംപേര്.

10. The seventh {cf15i captain} for the seventh month was Helez the Pelonite, of the children of Ephraim: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

11. എട്ടാം മാസത്തേക്കുള്ള എട്ടാമത്തവന് സര്ഹ്യരില് ഹൂശാത്യനായ സിബ്ബെഖായി; അവന്റെ ക്കുറിലും ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരംപേര്.

11. The eighth {cf15i captain} for the eighth month was Sibbecai the Hushathite, of the Zerahites: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

12. ഒമ്പതാം മാസത്തേക്കുള്ള ഒമ്പതാമത്തവന് ബെന്യാമീന്യരില് അനാഥോഥ്യനായ അബീയേസെര്; അവന്റെ ക്കുറിലും ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരംപേര്.

12. The ninth {cf15i captain} for the ninth month was Abiezer the Anathothite, of the Benjamites: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

13. പത്താം മാസത്തേക്കുള്ള പത്താമത്തവന് സര്ഹ്യരില് നെതോഫാത്യനായ മഹരായി; അവന്റെ ക്കുറിലും ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരംപേര്.

13. The tenth {cf15i captain} for the tenth month was Maharai the Netophathite, of the Zerahites: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

14. പതിനൊന്നാം മാസത്തേക്കുള്ള പതിനൊന്നാമത്തവന് എഫ്രയീമിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരില് പിരാഥോന്യനായ ബെനായാവു; അവന്റെ ക്കുറിലും ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരംപേര്.

14. The eleventh {cf15i captain} for the eleventh month was Benaiah the Pirathonite, of the children of Ephraim: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

15. The twelfth {cf15i captain} for the twelfth month was Heldai the Netophathite, of Othniel: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

21. of the half {cf15i tribe} of Manasseh in Gilead, Iddo the son of Zechariah: of Benjamin, Jaasiel the son of Abner:

22. ദാന്നു യെരോഹാമിന്റെ മകന് അസരെയോല്. ഇവര് യിസ്രായേല്ഗോത്രങ്ങള്ക്കു പ്രഭുക്കന്മാര് ആയിരുന്നു.

22. of Dan, Azarel the son of Jeroham. These were the captains of the tribes of Israel.

23. എന്നാല് യഹോവ യിസ്രായേലിനെ ആകാശത്തിലെ നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിക്കും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു ദാവീദ് ഇരുപതു വയസ്സിന്നു താഴെയുള്ളവരുടെ എണ്ണം എടുത്തില്ല.

23. But David took not the number of them from twenty years old and under: because the LORD had said he would increase Israel like to the stars of heaven.

24. Joab the son of Zeruiah began to number, but finished not; and there came wrath for this upon Israel; neither was the number put into the account in the chronicles of king David;

25. രാജാവിന്റെ ഭണ്ഡാരത്തിന്നു അദീയേലിന്റെ മകനായ അസ്മാവെത്ത് മേല്വിചാരകന് . നിലങ്ങളിലും പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും ഗ്രാമങ്ങളിലും കോട്ടകളിലും ഉള്ള പാണ്ടിശാലകള്ക്കു ഉസ്സീയാവിന്റെ മകന് യെഹോനാഥാന് മേല്വിചാരകന് .

25. And over the kings treasuries was Azmaveth the son of Adiel: and over the treasuries in the fields, in the cities, and in the villages, and in the castles, was Jonathan the son of Uzziah:

26. വയലില് വേലചെയ്ത കൃഷിക്കാര്ക്കും കെലൂബിന്റെ മകന് എസ്രി മേല്വിചാരകന് .

26. And over them that did the work of the field for tillage of the ground was Ezri the son of Chelub:

27. മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടങ്ങള്ക്കു രാമാത്യനായ ശിമെയിയും മുന്തിരത്തോട്ടങ്ങളിലെ അനുഭവമായ വീഞ്ഞു സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്ന നിലവറകള്ക്കു ശിഫ്മ്യനായ സബ്ദിയും മേല്വിചാരകര്.

27. and over the vineyards was Shimei the Ramathite: and over the increase of the vineyards for the wine cellars was Zabdi the Shiphmite:

28. ഒലിവുവൃക്ഷങ്ങള്ക്കും താഴ്വീതിയിലെ കാട്ടത്തികള്ക്കും ഗാദേര്യ്യനായ ബാല്ഹാനാനും എണ്ണ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുവെക്കുന്ന നിലവറകള്ക്കു യോവാശും മേല്വിചാരകര്.

28. and over the olive trees and the sycomore trees that were in the lowland was Baalhanan the Gederite: and over the cellars of oil was Joash:

29. ശാരോനില് മേയുന്ന നാല്ക്കാലികള്ക്കു ശാരോന്യനായ ശിത്രായിയും താഴ്വരയിലെ നാല്ക്കാലികള്ക്കു അദായിയുടെ മകനായ ശാഫാത്തും മേല്വിചാരകര്.

29. and over the herds that fed in Sharon was Shitrai the Sharonite: and over the herds that were in the valleys was Shaphat the son of Adlai:

30. ഒട്ടകങ്ങള്ക്കു യിശ്മായേല്യനായ ഔബീലും കഴുതകള്ക്കു മേരോനോത്യനായ യെഹ്ദെയാവും മേല്വിചാരകര്.

30. and over the camels was Obil the Ishmaelite: and over the asses was Jehdeiah the Meronothite:

31. ആടുകള്ക്കു ഹഗ്രീയനായ യാസീസ് മേല് വിചാരകന് ; ഇവര് എല്ലാവരും ദാവീദ് രാജാവിന്റെ വസ്തുവകകള്ക്കു അധിപതിമാരായിരുന്നു.

31. and over the flocks was Jaziz the Hagrite. All these were the rulers of the substance which was king Davids.

32. ദാവീദിന്റെ ചിറ്റപ്പനായ യോനാഥാന് ബുദ്ധിമാനായൊരു മന്ത്രിയും ശാസ്ത്രിയും ആയിരുന്നു; ഹഖ്മോനിയുടെ മകനായ യെഹീയേല് രാജകുമാരന്മാരുടെ സഹവാസി ആയിരുന്നു.

32. Also Jonathan Davids uncle was a counsellor, a man of understanding, and a scribe: and Jehiel the son of Hachmoni was with the kings sons:

33. അഹീഥോഫെല് രാജമന്ത്രി; അര്ഖ്യനായ ഹൂശായി രാജമിത്രം.

33. And Ahithophel was the kings counsellor: and Hushai the Archite was the kings friend:

34. and after Ahithophel was Jehoiada the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar: and the captain of the kings host was Joab.
