1. അപ്പോള് ശലോമോന് താന് കൂരിരുളില് വസിക്കുമെന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു;

1. Solomon prayed: 'Our LORD, you said that you would live in a dark cloud.

2. എങ്കിലും ഞാന് നിനക്കു ഒരു നിവാസാലയം, നിനക്കു എന്നേക്കും വസിപ്പാന് ഒരു സ്ഥലം പണിതിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

2. Now I've built a glorious temple where you can live forever.'

3. പിന്നെ യിസ്രായേല്സഭ മുഴുവനും നില്ക്കെ രാജാവു തന്റെ മുഖം തിരിച്ചു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സര്വ്വസഭയേയും

3. Solomon turned toward the people standing there. Then he blessed them

4. അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞതു എന്തെന്നാല്എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിനോടു തിരുവായ് കൊണ്ടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു തൃക്കൈകൊണ്ടു നിവര്ത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവന് .

4. and said: Praise the LORD God of Israel! He brought his people out of Egypt long ago and later kept his promise to make my father David the king of Israel. The LORD also promised him that Jerusalem would be the city where his temple will be built, and now that promise has come true.

5. എന്റെ ജനത്തെ മിസ്രയീം ദേശത്തുനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന നാള്മുതല് എന്റെ നാമം ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഒരു ആലയം പണിവാന് ഞാന് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സകല ഗോത്രങ്ങളിലും ഒരു പട്ടണവും തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തില്ല; എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു പ്രഭുവായിരിപ്പാന് ഞാന് ഒരുത്തനെയും തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തതുമില്ല.

7. When my father wanted to build a temple for the LORD God of Israel,

8. എന്നാല് യഹോവ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിനോടുഎന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു ഒരു ആലയം പണിയേണമെന്നു നിനക്കു താല്പര്യം ഉണ്ടായല്ലോ; ഇങ്ങനെ താല്പര്യം ഉണ്ടായതു നല്ലതു;

8. the LORD said, 'It's good that you want to build a temple where I can be worshiped.

9. എങ്കിലും ആലയം പണിയേണ്ടതു നീയല്ല; നിന്റെ കടിപ്രദേശത്തുനിന്നുത്ഭവിക്കുന്ന മകന് തന്നേ എന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു ആലയം പണിയും എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

9. But you're not the one to do it. Your son will build the temple to honor me.'

10. അങ്ങനെ യഹോവ താന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനം നിവര്ത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവ വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്തതുപോലെ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിന്നു പകരം ഞാന് എഴുന്നേറ്റു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തില് ഇരുന്നു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിന്നു ഒരു ആലയം പണിതിരിക്കുന്നു.

10. The LORD has done what he promised. I am now the king of Israel, and I've built a temple for the LORD our God.

11. യഹോവ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു ചെയ്ത നിയമം ഉള്ള പെട്ടകം ഞാന് അതില് വെച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടു.

11. I've also put the sacred chest in the temple. And in that chest are the two flat stones on which is written the solemn agreement the LORD made with our ancestors when he rescued them from Egypt.

12. അനന്തരം അവന് യഹോവയുടെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന് മുമ്പില് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സര്വ്വസഭയുടെയും സമക്ഷത്തു നിന്നുംകൊണ്ടു കൈ മലര്ത്തി;

12. Earlier, Solomon had a bronze platform made that was about eight feet square and five feet high, and he put it in the center of the outer courtyard near the altar. Solomon stood on the platform facing the altar with everyone standing behind him. Then he lifted his arms toward heaven; he knelt down

13. ശലോമോന് അഞ്ചു മുഴം നീളവും അഞ്ചു മുഴം വീതിയും മൂന്നു മുഴം ഉയരവുമായിട്ടു താമ്രംകൊണ്ടു ഒരു പീഠം ഉണ്ടാക്കി പ്രാകാരത്തിന്റെ നടുവില് വെച്ചിരുന്നു; അതില് അവന് കയറിനിന്നു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സര്വ്വസഭെക്കും മുമ്പാകെ മുട്ടുകുത്തി ആകാശത്തേക്കു കൈ മലര്ത്തി പറഞ്ഞതു എന്തെന്നാല്

14. യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, പൂര്ണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടെ നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നടക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ ദാസന്മാര്ക്കായി നിയമവും ദയയും പാലിക്കുന്നവനായ നിന്നെപ്പോലെ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തിലും ഭൂമിയിലും ഒരു ദൈവവും ഇല്ല.

14. and prayed: LORD God of Israel, no other god in heaven or on earth is like you! You never forget the agreement you made with your people, and you are loyal to anyone who faithfully obeys your teachings.

15. നീ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദ് എന്ന നിന്റെ ദാസന്നു ചെയ്ത വാഗ്ദാനം പാലിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; തിരുവായ്കൊണ്ടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു ഇന്നു കാണുംപോലെ തൃക്കൈകൊണ്ടു നിവര്ത്തിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

15. My father David was your servant, and today you have kept every promise you made to him.

16. ആകയാല് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നീ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദ് എന്ന നിന്റെ ദാസനോടുനീ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നടന്നതുപോലെ നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും എന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണപ്രകാരം നടക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തങ്ങളുടെ വഴി സൂക്ഷിക്കമാത്രം ചെയ്താല് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തില് ഇരിപ്പാന് നിനക്കു ഒരു പുരുഷന് എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ഇല്ലാതെ വരികയില്ല എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നതു നിവര്ത്തിക്കേണമേ.

16. You promised that someone from his family would always be king of Israel, if they do their best to obey you, just as he did.

17. യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിനോടു നീ അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനം ഒത്തുവരുമാറാകട്ടെ.

17. Please keep this promise you made to your servant David.

18. എന്നാല് ദൈവം യഥാര്ത്ഥമായി ഭൂമിയില് മനുഷ്യരോടുകൂടെ വസിക്കുമോ? സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തിലും സ്വര്ഗ്ഗാധിസ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തിലും നീ അടങ്ങുകയില്ലല്ലോ; പിന്നെ ഞാന് പണിതിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ആലയത്തില് അടങ്ങുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?

18. There's not enough room in all of heaven for you, LORD God. How could you possibly live on earth in this temple I have built?

19. എങ്കിലും എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, അടിയന് തിരുമുമ്പില് കഴിക്കുന്ന നിലവിളിയും പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയും കേള്ക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അടിയന്റെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയിലേക്കും യാചനയിലേക്കും തിരിഞ്ഞു കടാക്ഷിക്കേണമേ.

19. But I ask you to answer my prayer.

20. അടിയന് ഈ സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു കഴിക്കുന്ന പ്രാര്ത്ഥന കേള്ക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്റെ നാമം സ്ഥാപിക്കുമെന്നു നീ അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത സ്ഥലമായ ഈ ആലയത്തിന്മേല് രാവും പകലും തൃക്കണ്പാര്ത്തരുളേണമേ.

20. This is the temple where you have chosen to be worshiped. Please watch over it day and night and listen when I turn toward it and pray.

21. ഈ സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിപ്പാനിരിക്കുന്ന അടിയന്റെയും നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെയും യാചനകളെ കേള്ക്കേണമേ; നിന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലമായ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് നിന്നു കേള്ക്കേണമേ; കേട്ടുക്ഷമിക്കേണമേ.

21. I am your servant, and the people of Israel belong to you, and so whenever any of us look toward this temple and pray, answer from your home in heaven and forgive our sins.

22. ഒരുത്തന് തന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരനോടു കുറ്റം ചെയ്കയും അവന് അവനെക്കൊണ്ടു സത്യം ചെയ്യിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു കാര്യം സത്യത്തിന്നു വെക്കുകയും അവന് ഈ ആലയത്തില് നിന്റെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്നു മുമ്പാകെ വന്നു സത്യം ചെയ്കയും ചെയ്താല്

22. Suppose someone accuses a person of a crime, and the accused has to stand in front of the altar in your temple and say, 'I swear I am innocent!'

23. നീ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നു കേട്ടു പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു ദുഷ്ടന്റെ നടപ്പു അവന്റെ തലമേല്തന്നേ വരുത്തി പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്വാനും നീതിമാന്റെ നീതിക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം അവന്നു നല്കി നീതീകരിപ്പാനും അടിയങ്ങള്ക്കു ന്യായം പാലിച്ചുതരേണമേ.

23. Listen from heaven and decide who is right. Then punish the guilty person and let the innocent one go free.

24. നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേല് നിന്നോടു പാപം ചെയ്ക നിമിത്തം അവര് ശത്രുവിനോടു തോറ്റിട്ടു തിരിഞ്ഞു നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ സ്വീകരിച്ചു കൊണ്ടു ഈ ആലയത്തില്വെച്ചു നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കയും യാചിക്കയും ചെയ്താല്

24. Suppose your people Israel sin against you, and then an enemy defeats them. If they come to this temple and beg for forgiveness,

25. നീ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് നിന്നു കേട്ടു നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പാപം ക്ഷമിച്ചു നീ അവര്ക്കും അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര്ക്കും കൊടുത്ത ദേശത്തേക്കു അവരെ തിരിച്ചു വരുത്തേണമേ.

25. listen from your home in heaven. Forgive them and bring them back to the land you gave their ancestors.

26. അവര് നിന്നോടു പാപം ചെയ്കകൊണ്ടു ആകാശം അടെഞ്ഞു മഴ പെയ്യാതിരിക്കുമ്പോള് അവര് ഈ സ്ഥലത്തിലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചു നിന്റെ നാമം സ്വീകരിക്കയും നീ അവരെ താഴ്ത്തിയതുകൊണ്ടു അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങളെ വിട്ടുതിരികയും ചെയ്താല്,

26. Suppose your people sin against you, and you punish them by holding back the rain. If they stop sinning and turn toward this temple to pray in your name,

27. നീ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നു കേട്ടു നിന്റെ ദാസന്മാരുടെയും നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെയും പാപം ക്ഷമിച്ചു അവര് നടക്കേണ്ടുന്ന നല്ലവഴി അവരെ ഉപദേശിക്കയും നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്നു അവകാശമായി കൊടുത്ത നിന്റെ ദേശത്തു മഴപെയ്യിക്കയും ചെയ്യേണമേ.

27. listen from your home in heaven and forgive them. The people of Israel are your servants, so teach them to live right. And send rain on the land you promised them forever.

28. ദേശത്തു ക്ഷാമമോ മഹാമാരിയോ വെണ്കതിര്, വിഷമഞ്ഞു, വെട്ടുക്കിളി, തുള്ളന് എന്നിവയോ ഉണ്ടായാല്, അവരുടെ ശത്രുക്കള് അവരുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങളുള്ള ദേശത്തില് അവരെ നിരോധിച്ചാല്, വല്ല വ്യാധിയോ വല്ല ദീനമോ ഉണ്ടായാല്,

28. Sometimes the crops may dry up or rot or be eaten by locusts or grasshoppers, and your people will be starving. Sometimes enemies may surround their towns, or your people will become sick with deadly diseases.

29. യാതൊരുത്തനെങ്കിലും നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേല് മുഴുവനെങ്കിലും വല്ല പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയും യാചനയും കഴിക്കയും ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ വ്യാധിയും ദുഃഖവും അറിഞ്ഞു ഈ ആയലത്തിങ്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു കൈ മലര്ത്തുകയും ചെയ്താല്,

29. Please listen when anyone in Israel truly feels sorry and sincerely prays with arms lifted toward your temple.

30. നീ നിന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലമായ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് നിന്നു കേട്ടു ക്ഷമിക്കയും

30. You know what is in everyone's heart. So from your home in heaven answer their prayers, according to what they do and what is in their hearts.

31. ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര്ക്കും കൊടുത്ത ദേശത്തു അവര് ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും കാലത്തൊക്കെയും നിന്റെ വഴികളില് നടപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം നിന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ ഔരോരുത്തന്റെ ഹൃദയം അറിയുന്നതുപോലെ ഔരോരുത്തന്നു അവനവന്റെ നടപ്പുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും നലകുകയും ചെയ്യേണമേ; നീ മാത്രമല്ലോ മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളെ അറിയുന്നതു.

31. Then your people will worship you and obey you for as long as they live in the land you gave their ancestors.

32. നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലില് ഉള്ളവനല്ലാത്ത അന്യജാതിക്കാരന് നിന്റെ മഹത്വമുള്ള നാമവും ബലമുള്ള കയ്യും നീട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്ന ഭുജവും ഹേതുവായി ദൂരദേശത്തുനിന്നു വന്നാല് -- അവര് ഈ ആയലത്തില് വന്നു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കും നിശ്ചയം--

32. Foreigners will hear about you and your mighty power, and some of them will come to live among your people Israel. If any of them pray toward this temple,

33. നീ നിന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലമായ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നു കേട്ടു ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലജാതികളും നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേല് എന്നപോലെ നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ അറിഞ്ഞു നിന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടുകയും ഞാന് പണിതിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ആലയത്തിന്നു നിന്റെ നാമം വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അറികയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു അന്യജാതിക്കാരന് നിന്നോടു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും ചെയ്തുകൊടുക്കേണമേ.

33. listen from your home in heaven and answer their prayers. Then everyone on earth will worship you, just as your own people Israel do, and they will know that I have built this temple in your honor.

34. നീ നിന്റെ ജനത്തെ അയക്കുന്ന വഴിയില് അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ ശത്രുക്കളോടു യുദ്ധം ചെയ്വാന് പുറപ്പെടുമ്പോള് നീ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത ഈ നഗരത്തിലേക്കും ഞാന് നിന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു പണിതിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ആലയത്തിലേക്കും തിരിഞ്ഞു നിന്നോടു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചാല്

34. Sometimes you will order your people to attack their enemies. Then your people will turn toward this temple I have built for you in your chosen city, and they will pray to you.

35. നീ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നു അവരുടെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയും യാചനയും കേട്ടു അവര്ക്കും ന്യായം പാലിച്ചുകൊടുക്കേണമേ.

35. Answer their prayers from heaven and give them victory.

36. അവര് നിന്നോടു പാപം ചെയ്കയും - പാപം ചെയ്യാത്ത മനുഷ്യന് ഇല്ലല്ലോ - നീ അവരോടു കോപിച്ചു അവരെ ശത്രുക്കള്ക്കു ഏല്പിക്കയും അവര് അവരെ ദൂരത്തോ സമീപത്തോ ഉള്ള ദേശത്തേക്കു ബദ്ധരാക്കി കൊണ്ടുപോകയും ചെയ്താല്

36. Everyone sins. But when your people sin against you, suppose you get angry enough to let their enemies drag them away to foreign countries.

37. അവരെ പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയിരിക്കുന്ന ദേശത്തുവെച്ചു അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തില് ഉണര്ന്നു പ്രവാസദേശത്തുവെച്ചുഞങ്ങള് പാപംചെയ്തു അകൃത്യവും ദുഷ്ടതയും പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു നിന്നോടു യാചിക്കയും

37. Later, they may feel sorry for what they did and ask your forgiveness. Answer them when they pray toward this temple I have built for you in your chosen city, here in this land you gave their ancestors. From your home in heaven, listen to their sincere prayers and forgive your people who have sinned against you.

38. അവരെ പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയ പ്രവാസദേശത്തുവെച്ചു അവര് പൂര്ണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂര്ണ്ണമനസ്സോടുംകൂടെ നിങ്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു നീ അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര്ക്കും കൊടുത്ത ദേശത്തേക്കും നീ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത നഗരത്തിലേക്കും ഞാന് നിന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു പണിതിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ആലയത്തിലേക്കും നോക്കി പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കയും ചെയ്താല്

38. (SEE 6:37)

39. നീ നിന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലമായ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നു അവരുടെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയും യാചനകളും കേട്ടു അവര്ക്കും ന്യായം പാലിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു നിന്നോടു പാപം ചെയ്ത നിന്റെ ജനത്തോടു ക്ഷമിക്കേണമേ.

39. (SEE 6:37)

40. ഇപ്പോഴും എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, ഈ സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു കഴിക്കുന്ന പ്രാര്ത്ഥനെക്കു നിന്റെ കണ്ണു തുറന്നും നിന്റെ ചെവി ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചും ഇരിക്കേണമേ.

40. LORD God, hear us when we pray in this temple.

41. ആകയാല് യഹോവയായ ദൈവമേ, നീയും നിന്റെ ബലത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകവും എഴുന്നേറ്റു നിന്റെ വിശ്രാമത്തിലേക്കു വരേണമേ; യഹോവയായ ദൈവമേ, നിന്റെ പുരോഹിതന്മാര് രക്ഷാവസ്ത്രം ധരിക്കയും നിന്റെ ഭക്തന്മാര് നന്മയില് സന്തോഷിക്കയും ചെയ്യുമാറാകട്ടെ.

41. Come to your new home, where we have already placed the sacred chest, which is the symbol of your strength. I pray that when the priests announce your power to save people, those who are faithful to you will celebrate what you've done for them.

42. യഹോവയായ ദൈവമേ, നിന്റെ അഭിഷിക്തന്റെ മുഖം ത്യജിച്ചുകളയരുതേ; നിന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിനോടുള്ള കൃപകളെ ഔര്ക്കേണമേ.

42. Always remember the love you had for your servant David, so that you will not reject your chosen kings.
