1. ബാബേല് നദികളുടെ തീരത്തു ഞങ്ങള് ഇരുന്നു, സീയോനെ ഔര്ത്തപ്പോള് ഞങ്ങള് കരഞ്ഞു.

3. For there those who had taken us prisoners made request for a song; and those who had taken away all we had gave us orders to be glad, saying, Give us one of the songs of Zion.

6. നിന്നെ ഞാന് ഔര്ക്കാതെ പോയാല്, യെരൂശലേമിനെ എന്റെ മുഖ്യസന്തോഷത്തെക്കാള് വിലമതിക്കാതെ പോയാല്, എന്റെ നാവു അണ്ണാക്കിനോടു പറ്റിപ്പോകട്ടെ.

6. If I let you go out of my thoughts, and if I do not put Jerusalem before my greatest joy, let my tongue be fixed to the roof of my mouth.

7. ഇടിച്ചുകളവിന് , അടിസ്ഥാനംവരെ അതിനെ ഇടിച്ചുകളവിന് ! എന്നിങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞ ഏദോമ്യര്ക്കായി യഹോവേ, യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ നാള് ഔര്ക്കേണമേ.

7. O Lord, keep in mind against the children of Edom the day of Jerusalem; how they said, Let it be uncovered, uncovered even to its base.

8. നാശം അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന ബാബേല്പുത്രിയേ, നീ ഞങ്ങളോടു ചെയ്തതുപോലെ നിന്നോടു ചെയ്യുന്നവന് ഭാഗ്യവാന് . നിന്റെ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെ പിടിച്ചു പാറമേല് അടിച്ചുകളയുന്നവന് ഭാഗ്യവാന് .
