2. He's the bedrock on which I stand, the castle in which I live, my rescuing knight, The high crag where I run for dear life, while he lays my enemies low.

3. എന്റെ ദയയും എന്റെ കോട്ടയും എന്റെ ഗോപുരവും എന്റെ രക്ഷകനും എന്റെ പരിചയും ഞാന് ശരണമാക്കിയവനും എന്റെ ജനത്തെ എനിക്കു കീഴാക്കിത്തരുന്നവനും അവന് തന്നേ.

12. Make our sons in their prime like sturdy oak trees, Our daughters as shapely and bright as fields of wildflowers.

14. Protect us from invasion and exile-- eliminate the crime in our streets.

15. ഞങ്ങളുടെ കാളകള് ചുമടു ചുമക്കട്ടെ; മതില് തകര്ക്കുംന്നതും പടെക്കു പുറപ്പെടുന്നതും ഞങ്ങളുടെ വീഥികളില് നിലവിളിയും ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കട്ടെ.
