1. ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാരുടെ നിമിത്തം നീ മുഷിയരുതു; നീതികേടു ചെയ്യുന്നവരോടു അസൂയപ്പെടുകയുമരുതു.

1. Don't be upset because of evil people. Don't be jealous of those who do wrong,

2. അവര് പുല്ലുപോലെ വേഗത്തില് ഉണങ്ങി പച്ചച്ചെടിപോലെ വാടിപ്പോകുന്നു.

2. because like the grass, they will soon dry up. Like green plants, they will soon die away.

3. യഹോവയില് ആശ്രയിച്ചു നന്മചെയ്ക; ദേശത്തു പാര്ത്തു വിശ്വസ്തത ആചരിക്ക. യഹോവയില് തന്നേ രസിച്ചുകൊള്ക; അവന് നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ ആഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ നിനക്കു തരും.

3. Trust the Lord and do good. Live in the land and feed on truth.

4. നിന്റെ വഴി യഹോവയെ ഭരമേല്പിക്ക; അവനില് തന്നേ ആശ്രയിക്ക; അവന് അതു നിര്വ്വഹിക്കും.

4. Enjoy serving the Lord, and he will give you what you want.

5. അവന് നിന്റെ നീതിയെ പ്രഭാതംപോലെയും നിന്റെ ന്യായത്തെ മദ്ധ്യാഹ്നംപോലെയും പ്രകാശിപ്പിക്കും.

5. Depend on the Lord; trust him, and he will take care of you.

6. യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ മിണ്ടാതെയിരുന്നു അവന്നായി പ്രത്യാശിക്ക; കാര്യസാധ്യം പ്രാപിക്കുന്നവനെയും ദുരുപായം പ്രയോഗിക്കുന്നവനെയും കുറിച്ചു നീ മുഷിയരുതു.

6. Then your goodness will shine like the sun, and your fairness like the noonday sun.

7. കോപം കളഞ്ഞു ക്രോധം ഉപേക്ഷിക്ക; മുഷിഞ്ഞു പോകരുതു; അതു ദോഷത്തിന്നു ഹേതുവാകേയുള്ളു.

7. Wait and trust the Lord. Don't be upset when others get rich or when someone else's plans succeed.

8. ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാര് ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടും; യഹോവയെ പ്രത്യാശിക്കുന്നവരോ ഭൂമിയെ കൈവശമാക്കും.

8. Don't get angry. Don't be upset; it only leads to trouble.

9. കുറഞ്ഞോന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ദുഷ്ടന് ഇല്ല; നീ അവന്റെ ഇടം സൂക്ഷിച്ചുനോക്കും; അവനെ കാണുകയില്ല.

9. Evil people will be sent away, but those who trust the Lord will inherit the land.

10. എന്നാല് സൌമ്യതയുള്ളവര് ഭൂമിയെ കൈവശമാക്കും; സമാധാനസമൃദ്ധിയില് അവര് ആനന്ദിക്കും.

10. In a little while the wicked will be no more. You may look for them, but they will be gone.

11. ദുഷ്ടന് നീതിമാന്നു ദോഷം നിരൂപിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ നേരെ അവന് പല്ലു കടിക്കുന്നു.

11. People who are not proud will inherit the land and will enjoy complete peace.

12. കര്ത്താവു അവനെ നോക്കി ചിരിക്കും; അവന്റെ ദിവസം വരുന്നു എന്നു അവന് കാണുന്നു. എളിയവനെയും ദരിദ്രനെയും വീഴിപ്പാനും സന്മാര്ഗ്ഗികളെ കൊല്ലുവാനും ദുഷ്ടന്മാര് വാളൂരി വില്ലു കുലെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

12. The wicked make evil plans against good people. They grind their teeth at them in anger.

13. അവരുടെ വാള് അവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തില് തന്നേ കടക്കും; അവരുടെ വില്ലുകള് ഒടിഞ്ഞുപോകും.

13. But the Lord laughs at the wicked, because he sees that their day is coming.

14. അനേകദുഷ്ടന്മാര്ക്കുംള്ള സമൃദ്ധിയെക്കാള് നീതിമാന്നുള്ള അല്പം ഏറ്റവും നല്ലതു.

14. The wicked draw their swords and bend their bows to kill the poor and helpless, to kill those who are honest.

15. ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ ഭുജങ്ങള് ഒടിഞ്ഞുപോകും; എന്നാല് നീതിമാന്മാരെ യഹോവ താങ്ങും.

15. But their swords will stab their own hearts, and their bows will break.

16. യഹോവ നിഷ്കളങ്കന്മാരുടെ നാളുകളെ അറിയുന്നു; അവരുടെ അവകാശം ശാശ്വതമായിരിക്കും.

16. It is better to have little and be right than to have much and be wrong.

17. ദുഷ്കാലത്തു അവര് ലജ്ജിച്ചു പോകയില്ല; ക്ഷാമകാലത്തു അവര് തൃപ്തരായിരിക്കും,

17. The power of the wicked will be broken, but the Lord supports those who do right.

18. എന്നാല് ദുഷ്ടന്മാര് നശിച്ചുപോകും; യഹോവയുടെ ശത്രുക്കള് പുല്പുറത്തിന്റെ ഭംഗിപോലേയുള്ളു; അവര് ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകും; പുകപോലെ ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകും.

18. The Lord watches over the lives of the innocent, and their reward will last forever.

19. ദുഷ്ടന് വായ്പ വാങ്ങുന്നു തിരികെ കൊടുക്കുന്നില്ല; നീതിമാനോ കൃപാലുവായി ദാനം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

19. They will not be ashamed when trouble comes. They will be full in times of hunger.

20. അവനാല് അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടവര് ഭൂമിയെ കൈവശമാക്കും. അവനാല് ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരോ ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടും.

20. But the wicked will die. flowers of the fields; they will disappear like smoke.

21. ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്റെ വഴിയില് പ്രസാദം തോന്നിയാല് യഹോവ അവന്റെ ഗമനം സ്ഥിരമാക്കുന്നു.

21. The wicked borrow and don't pay back, but those who do right give freely to others.

22. അവന് വീണാലും നിലംപരിചാകയില്ല; യഹോവ അവനെ കൈ പിടിച്ചു താങ്ങുന്നു.

22. Those whom the Lord blesses will inherit the land, but those he curses will be sent away.

23. ഞാന് ബാലനായിരുന്നു, വൃദ്ധനായിത്തീര്ന്നു; നീതിമാന് തുണയില്ലാതിരിക്കുന്നതും അവന്റെ സന്തതി ആഹാരം ഇരക്കുന്നതും ഞാന് കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല.

23. When a person's steps follow the Lord, God is pleased with his ways.

24. അവന് നിത്യം കൃപാലുവായി വായ്പ കൊടുക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ സന്തതി അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.

24. If he stumbles, he will not fall, because the Lord holds his hand.

25. ദോഷം വിട്ടൊഴിഞ്ഞു ഗുണം ചെയ്ക; എന്നാല് നീ സദാകാലം സുഖമായി വസിക്കും.

25. I was young, and now I am old, but I have never seen good people left helpless or their children begging for food.

26. യഹോവ ന്യായപ്രിയനാകുന്നു; തന്റെ വിശുദ്ധന്മാരെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല; അവര് എന്നേക്കും പരിപാലിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ സന്തതിയോ ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടും.

26. Good people always lend freely to others, and their children are a blessing.

27. നീതിമാന്മാര് ഭൂമിയെ അവകാശമാക്കി എന്നേക്കും അതില് വസിക്കും;

27. Stop doing evil and do good, so you will live forever.

28. നീതിമാന്റെ വായ് ജ്ഞാനം പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ നാവു ന്യായം സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.

28. The Lord loves justice and will not leave those who worship him. He will always protect them, but the children of the wicked will die.

29. തന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം അവന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില് ഉണ്ടു; അവന്റെ കാലടികള് വഴുതുകയില്ല.

29. Good people will inherit the land and will live in it forever.

30. ദുഷ്ടന് നീതിമാന്നായി പതിയിരുന്നു, അവനെ കൊല്ലുവാന് നോക്കുന്നു.

30. A good person speaks with wisdom, and he says what is fair.

31. യഹോവ അവനെ അവന്റെ കയ്യില് വിട്ടുകൊടുക്കയില്ല; ന്യായവിസ്താരത്തില് അവനെ കുറ്റംവിധിക്കയുമില്ല.

31. The teachings of his God are in his heart, so he does not fail to keep them.

32. യഹോവെക്കായി പ്രത്യാശിച്ചു അവന്റെ വഴി പ്രമാണിച്ചു നടക്ക; എന്നാല് ഭൂമിയെ അവകാശമാക്കുവാന് അവന് നിന്നെ ഉയര്ത്തും; ദുഷ്ടന്മാര് ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതു നീ കാണും.

32. The wicked watch for good people so that they may kill them.

33. ദുഷ്ടന് പ്രബലനായിരിക്കുന്നതും; സ്വദേശികമായ പച്ചവൃക്ഷംപോലെ തഴെക്കുന്നതും ഞാന് കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ടു.

33. But the Lord will not take away his protection or let good people be judged guilty.

34. ഞാന് പിന്നെ അതിലെ പോയപ്പോള് അവന് ഇല്ല; ഞാന് അന്വേഷിച്ചു, അവനെ കണ്ടതുമില്ല.

34. Wait for the Lord's help and follow him. He will honor you and give you the land, and you will see the wicked sent away.

35. നിഷ്കളങ്കനെ കുറിക്കൊള്ളുക; നേരുള്ളവനെ നോക്കിക്കൊള്ക; സമാധാനപുരുഷന്നു സന്തതി ഉണ്ടാകും.

35. I saw a wicked and cruel man who looked strong like a healthy tree in good soil.

36. എന്നാല് അതിക്രമക്കാര് ഒരുപോലെ മുടിഞ്ഞുപോകും; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ സന്താനം ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടും.

36. But he died and was gone; I looked for him, but he couldn't be found.

37. നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ രക്ഷ യഹോവയിങ്കല്നിന്നു വരുന്നു; കഷ്ടകാലത്തു അവന് അവരുടെ ദുര്ഗ്ഗം ആകുന്നു.

37. Think of the innocent person, and watch the honest one. The man who has peace will have children to live after him.

38. യഹോവ അവരെ സഹായിച്ചു വിടുവിക്കുന്നു; അവര് അവനില് ആശ്രയിക്കകൊണ്ടു അവന് അവരെ ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു വിടുവിച്ചു രക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

38. But sinners will be destroyed; in the end the wicked will die.
