1. Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

2. അവിടെ യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതന് ഒരു മുള്പടര്പ്പിന്റെ നടുവില്നിന്നു അഗ്നിജ്വാലയില് അവന്നു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി. അവന് നോക്കിയാറെ മുള്പടര്പ്പു തീ പിടിച്ചു കത്തുന്നതും മുള്പടര്പ്പു വെന്തുപോകാതിരിക്കുന്നതും കണ്ടു.

2. And the Angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush [was] not consumed.

3. മുള്പടര്പ്പു വെന്തുപോകാതിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ വലിയ കാഴ്ച എന്തെന്നു ഞാന് ചെന്നു നോക്കട്ടെ എന്നു മോശെ പറഞ്ഞു.

3. Then Moses said, 'I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.'

4. നോക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന് വരുന്നതു യഹോവ കണ്ടപ്പോള് ദൈവം മുള്പടര്പ്പിന്റെ നടുവില് നിന്നു അവനെ മോശേ, മോശെ എന്നു വിളിച്ചു. അതിന്നു അവന് ഇതാ, ഞാന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

4. So when the LORD saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, 'Moses, Moses!' And he said, 'Here I am.'

5. അപ്പോള് അവന് ഇങ്ങോട്ടു അടുക്കരുതു; നീ നിലക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലം വിശുദ്ധഭൂമിയാകയാല് കാലില്നിന്നു ചെരിപ്പു അഴിച്ചുകളക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

5. Then He said, 'Do not draw near this place. Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand [is] holy ground.'

6. Moreover He said, 'I [am] the God of your father -- the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.' And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God.

7. And the LORD said: 'I have surely seen the oppression of My people who [are] in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.

8. അവരെ മിസ്രയീമ്യരുടെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു വിടുവിപ്പാനും ആ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു നല്ലതും വിശാലവുമായ ദേശത്തേക്കു, പാലും തേനും ഒഴുകുന്ന ദേശത്തേക്കു, കനാന്യര്, ഹിത്യര്, അമോര്യ്യര്, പെരിസ്യര്, ഹിവ്യര്, യെബൂസ്യര് എന്നവരുടെ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു അവരെ കൊണ്ടുപോകുവാനും ഞാന് ഇറങ്ങിവന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

8. 'So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites.

9. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ നിലവിളി എന്റെ അടുക്കല് എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു; മിസ്രയീമ്യര് അവരെ ഞെരുക്കുന്ന ഞെരുക്കവും ഞാന് കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

9. 'Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them.

10. ആകയാല് വരിക; നീ എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളെ മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് നിന്നെ ഫറവോന്റെ അടുക്കല് അയക്കും.

10. 'Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.'

11. മോശെ ദൈവത്തോടുഫറവോന്റെ അടുക്കല് പോകുവാനും യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളെ മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിപ്പാനും ഞാന് എന്തു മാത്രമുള്ളു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

11. But Moses said to God, 'Who [am] I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?'

12. അതിന്നു അവന് ഞാന് നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കും; നീ ജനത്തെ മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നു കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു വരുമ്പോള് നിങ്ങള് ഈ പര്വ്വതത്തിങ്കല് ദൈവത്തെ ആരാധിക്കുമെന്നുള്ളതു ഞാന് നിന്നെ അയച്ചതിന്നു അടയാളം ആകും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

12. So He said, 'I will certainly be with you. And this [shall be] a sign to you that I have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.'

13. മോശെ ദൈവത്തോടുഞാന് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നുനിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവം എന്നെ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല് അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറയുമ്പോള്അവന്റെ നാമം എന്തെന്നു അവര് എന്നോടു ചോദിച്ചാല് ഞാന് അവരോടു എന്തു പറയേണം എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

13. Then Moses said to God, 'Indeed, [when] I come to the children of Israel and say to them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you,' and they say to me, 'What [is] His name?' what shall I say to them?'

14. അതിന്നു ദൈവം മോശെയോടുഞാന് ആകുന്നവന് ഞാന് ആകുന്നു; ഞാന് ആകുന്നു എന്നുള്ളവന് എന്നെ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല് അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നിങ്ങനെ നീ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു പറയേണം എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

14. And God said to Moses, 'I AM WHO I AM.' And He said, 'Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you.' '

15. Moreover God said to Moses, 'Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: 'The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This [is] My name forever, and this [is] My memorial to all generations.'

16. നീ ചെന്നു യിസ്രായേല്മൂപ്പന്മാരെ കൂട്ടി അവരോടുഅബ്രാഹാമിന്റെയും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെയും യാക്കോബിന്റെയും ദൈവമായി, നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എനിക്കു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി കല്പിച്ചതുഞാന് നിങ്ങളെയും മിസ്രയീമില് അവര് നിങ്ങളോടു ചെയ്യുന്നതിനെയും സന്ദര്ശിക്കുന്നു.

16. 'Go and gather the elders of Israel together, and say to them, 'The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared to me, saying, 'I have surely visited you and [seen] what is done to you in Egypt;

17. മിസ്രയീമിലെ കഷ്ടതയില്നിന്നു കനാന്യര്, ഹിത്യര്, അമോര്യ്യര്, പെരിസ്യര്, ഹിവ്യര്, യെബൂസ്യര് എന്നിവരുടെ ദേശത്തേക്കു, പാലും തേനും ഒഴുകുന്ന ദേശത്തേക്കു നിങ്ങളെ കൊണ്ടുപോകുവാന് ഞാന് നിശ്ചയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറക.

17. 'and I have said I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, to a land flowing with milk and honey.' '

18. 'Then they will heed your voice; and you shall come, you and the elders of Israel, to the king of Egypt; and you shall say to him, 'The LORD God of the Hebrews has met with us; and now, please, let us go three days' journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.'

19. എന്നാല് മിസ്രയീംരാജാവു ഭുജബലംകൊണ്ടല്ലാതെ നിങ്ങളെ പോകുവാന് സമ്മതിക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നു.

19. 'But I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not even by a mighty hand.

20. അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് എന്റെ കൈ നീട്ടി മിസ്രയീമിന്റെ നടുവില് ചെയ്വാനിരിക്കുന്ന അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെക്കൊണ്ടൊക്കെയും അതിനെ ദണ്ഡിപ്പിക്കും; അതിന്റെ ശേഷം അവന് നിങ്ങളെ വിട്ടയക്കും.

20. 'So I will stretch out My hand and strike Egypt with all My wonders which I will do in its midst; and after that he will let you go.

21. ഞാന് മിസ്രയീമ്യര്ക്കും ഈ ജനത്തോടു കൃപ തോന്നുമാറാക്കും; നിങ്ങള് പോരുമ്പോള് വെറുങ്കയ്യായി പോരേണ്ടിവരികയില്ല.

21. 'And I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians; and it shall be, when you go, that you shall not go empty-handed.

22. ഔരോ സ്ത്രീ താന്താന്റെ അയല്ക്കാരത്തിയോടും വീട്ടില് അതിഥിയായി പാര്ക്കുംന്നവളോടും വെള്ളിയാഭരണങ്ങളും പൊന്നാഭരണങ്ങളും വസ്ത്രങ്ങളും ചോദിച്ചുവാങ്ങി നിങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും ധരിപ്പിക്കയും മിസ്രയീമ്യരെ കൊള്ളയിടുകയും വേണം.

22. 'But every woman shall ask of her neighbor, namely, of her who dwells near her house, articles of silver, articles of gold, and clothing; and you shall put [them] on your sons and on your daughters. So you shall plunder the Egyptians.'
