1. എന്റെ പ്രിയേ, നീ സുന്ദരി; നീ സുന്ദരി തന്നേ. നിന്റെ മൂടുപടത്തിന് നടുവെ നിന്റെ കണ്ണു പ്രാവിന് കണ്ണുപോലെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ തലമുടി ഗിലെയാദ് മലഞ്ചെരിവില് കിടക്കുന്ന കോലാട്ടിന് കൂട്ടം പോലെയാകുന്നു.

1. How beautiful you are, my darling. How very beautiful! Behind your veil, your eyes are doves. Your hair is like a flock of goats streaming down Mount Gilead.

2. നിന്റെ പല്ലു, രോമം കത്രിച്ചിട്ടു കുളിച്ചു കയറിവരുന്ന ആടുകളെപ്പോലെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; അവയില് ഒന്നും മച്ചിയായിരിക്കാതെ എല്ലാം ഇരട്ടപ്രസവിക്കുന്നു.

3. നിന്റെ അധരം കടുംചുവപ്പുനൂല്പോലെയും നിന്റെ വായ് മനോഹരവും ആകുന്നു; നിന്റെ ചെന്നികള് നിന്റെ മൂടുപടത്തിന് ഉള്ളില് മാതളപ്പഴത്തിന് ഖണ്ഡംപോലെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

3. Your lips are like a scarlet cord, and your mouth is lovely. Behind your veil, your brow is like a slice of pomegranate.

4. നിന്റെ കഴുത്തു ആയുധശാലയായി പണിതിരിക്കുന്ന ദാവീദിന് ഗോപുരത്തോടു ഒക്കും; അതില് ആയിരം പരിച തൂക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അവ ഒക്കെയും വീരന്മാരുടെ പരിച തന്നേ.

4. Your neck is like the tower of David, constructed in layers. A thousand bucklers are hung on it-- all of them shields of warriors.

5. Your breasts are like two fawns, twins of a gazelle, that feed among the lilies.

6. വെയലാറി നിഴല് കാണാതെയാകുവോളം ഞാന് മൂറിന് മലയിലും കുന്തുരുക്കക്കുന്നിലും ചെന്നിരിക്കാം.

6. Before the day breaks and the shadows flee, I will make my way to the mountain of myrrh and the hill of frankincense.

7. എന്റെ പ്രിയേ, നീ സര്വ്വാംഗസുന്ദരി; നിന്നില് യാതൊരു ഊനവും ഇല്ല.

15. നീ തോട്ടങ്ങള്ക്കു ഒരു നീരുറവും, വറ്റിപ്പോകാത്ത കിണറും ലെബാനോനില്നിന്നു ഒഴുകുന്ന ഒഴുക്കുകളും തന്നേ.

15. [You are] a garden spring, a well of flowing water streaming from Lebanon.

16. വടതിക്കാറ്റേ ഉണരുക; തെന്നിക്കാറ്റേ വരിക; എന്റെ തോട്ടത്തില്നിന്നു സുഗന്ധം വീശേണ്ടതിന്നു അതിന്മേല് ഊതുക; എന്റെ പ്രിയന് തന്റെ തോട്ടത്തില് വന്നു അതിനെ വിശിഷ്ടഫലം ഭുജിക്കട്ടെ.

16. Awaken, north wind-- come, south wind. Blow on my garden, and spread the fragrance of its spices. Let my love come to his garden and eat its choicest fruits.
