1. മടങ്ങിവരിക, ശൂലേംകാരത്തീ, മടങ്ങിവരിക; ഞങ്ങള് നിന്നെ ഒന്നു കണ്ടുകൊള്ളട്ടെ, മടങ്ങിവരിക, മടങ്ങിവരിക; നിങ്ങള് മഹനീമിലെ നൃത്തത്തെപ്പോലെ ശൂലേംകാരത്തിയെ കാണ്മാന് ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നതു എന്തിന്നു?

1. How beautiful are thy feet with shoes, O prince's daughter! the joints of thy thighs [are] like jewels, the work of the hands of a skilful workman.

2. പ്രഭുകുമാരീ, ചെരിപ്പിട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ കാല് എത്ര മനോഹരം! നിന്റെ ഉരുണ്ടു നിതംബം തട്ടാന്റെ പണിയായ ഭൂഷണംപോലെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

2. Thy navel [is like] a round goblet, [which] wanteth not liquor: thy belly [is like] an heap of wheat set about with lilies.

3. നിന്റെ നാഭി, വട്ടത്തിലുള്ള പാനപാത്രംപോലെയാകുന്നു; അതില്, കലക്കിയ വീഞ്ഞു ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കുന്നില്ല; നിന്റെ ഉദരം താമരപ്പൂ ചുറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്ന കോതമ്പുകൂമ്പാരംപോലെ ആകുന്നു.

3. Thy two breasts [are] like two young roes [that are] twins.

4. നിന്റെ സ്തനം രണ്ടും ഇരട്ടപിറന്ന രണ്ടു മാന് കുട്ടികള്ക്കു സമം.

4. Thy neck [is] as a tower of ivory; thy eyes [like] the fishpools in Heshbon, by the gate of Bathrabbim: thy nose [is] as the tower of Lebanon which looketh toward Damascus.

5. നിന്റെ കഴുത്തു ദന്തഗോപുരംപോലെയും നിന്റെ കണ്ണു ഹെശ്ബോനില് ബാത്ത് റബ്ബീം വാതില്ക്കലേ കുളങ്ങളെപ്പോലെയും നിന്റെ മൂകൂ ദമ്മേശെക്കിന്നു നേരെയുള്ള ലെബാനോന് ഗോപുരംപോലെയും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

5. Thy head upon thee [is] like Carmel, and the hair of thy head like purple; the king [is] held captive by [her] locks of hair.

6. നിന്റെ ശിരസ്സു കര്മ്മേല്പോലെയും നിന്റെ തലമുടി രക്താംബരംപോലെയും ഇരിക്കുന്നു; രാജാവു നിന്റെ കുന്തളങ്ങളാല് ബദ്ധനായിരിക്കുന്നു.

6. How fair and how pleasant art thou, O love, for delights!

7. പ്രിയേ, പ്രേമഭോഗങ്ങളില് നീ എത്ര സുന്ദരി, എത്ര മനോഹര!

7. This thy stature is like a palm tree, and thy breasts to clusters [of grapes].

8. നിന്റെ ശരീരാകൃതി പനയോടും നിന്റെ സ്തനങ്ങള് മുന്തിരിക്കുലയോടും ഒക്കുന്നു!

8. I said, I will go up to the palm tree, I will take hold of its boughs: now also thy breasts shall be as clusters of the vine, and the fragrance of thy breath like apples;

9. ഞാന് പനമേല് കയറും; അതിന്റെ മടല് പിടിക്കും എന്നു ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞു. നിന്റെ സ്തനങ്ങള് മുന്തിരിക്കുലപോലെയും നിന്റെ മൂക്കിന്റെ വാസന നാരങ്ങയുടെ വാസനപോലെയും ആകട്ടെ. നിന്റെ അണ്ണാക്കോ മേത്തരമായ വീഞ്ഞു.

9. And the roof of thy mouth like the best wine for my beloved, that goeth [down] sweetly, causing the lips of those that are asleep to speak.

10. അതു എന്റെ പ്രിയന്നു മൃദുപാനമായി അധരത്തിലും പല്ലിലും കൂടി കടക്കുന്നതും ആകുന്നു.

10. I [am] my beloved's, and his desire [is] toward me.

11. ഞാന് എന്റെ പ്രിയന്നുള്ളവള്; അവന്റെ ആഗ്രഹം എന്നോടാകുന്നു.

11. Come, my beloved, let us go forth into the field; let us lodge in the villages.

12. പ്രിയാ, വരിക; നാം വെളിംപ്രദേശത്തു പോക; നമുക്കു ഗ്രാമങ്ങളില് ചെന്നു രാപാര്ക്കാം.

12. Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flourisheth, [whether] the tender grape appeareth, [and] the pomegranates bud forth: there will I give thee my loves.

13. അതികാലത്തു എഴുന്നേറ്റു മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടങ്ങളില് പോയി മുന്തിരിവള്ളി തളിര്ത്തു പൂ വിടരുകയും മാതളനാരകം പൂക്കയും ചെയ്തുവോ എന്നു നോക്കാം; അവിടെവെച്ചു ഞാന് നിനക്കു എന്റെ പ്രേമം തരും.

13. The mandrakes give a fragrance, and at our gates [are] all manner of pleasant [fruits], new and old, [which] I have laid up for thee, O my beloved.
