1. യഹോവ യാക്കോബിനോടു മനസ്സലിഞ്ഞു യിസ്രായേലിനെ വീണ്ടും തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു സ്വദേശത്തു അവരെ പാര്പ്പിക്കും; അന്യജാതിക്കാരും അവരോടു യോജിച്ചു യാക്കോബ് ഗൃഹത്തോടു ചേര്ന്നുകൊള്ളും.

1. Because Jehovah loveth Jacob, And hath fixed again on Israel, And given them rest on their own land, And joined hath been the sojourner to them, And they have been admitted to the house of Jacob.

2. ജാതികള് അവരെ കൂട്ടി അവരുടെ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു കൊണ്ടുവരും; യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹം അവരെ യഹോവയുടെ ദേശത്തു ദാസന്മാരായും ദാസിമാരായും അടക്കിക്കൊള്ളും; തങ്ങളെ ബദ്ധന്മാരാക്കിയവരെ അവര് ബദ്ധന്മാരാക്കുകയും തങ്ങളെ പീഡിപ്പിച്ചവരെ വാഴുകയും ചെയ്യും.

2. And peoples have taken them, And have brought them in unto their place, And the house of Israel have inherited them, On the land of Jehovah, For men-servants and for maid-servants, And they have been captors of their captors, And have ruled over their exactors.

3. യഹോവ നിന്റെ വ്യസനവും നിന്റെ കഷ്ടതയും നീ ചെയ്യണ്ടിവന്ന നിന്റെ കഠിനദാസ്യവും നീക്കി നിനക്കു വിശ്രാമം നലകുന്ന നാളില്

3. And it hath come to pass, In the day of Jehovah's giving rest to thee, From thy grief, and from thy trouble, And from the sharp bondage, That hath been served upon thee,

4. നീ ബാബേല്രാജാവിനെക്കുറിച്ചു ഈ പാട്ടു ചൊല്ലുംപീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്നവന് എങ്ങനെ ഇല്ലാതെയായി! സ്വര്ണ്ണനഗരം എങ്ങനെ മുടിഞ്ഞുപോയി!

4. That thou hast taken up this simile Concerning the king of Babylon, and said, How hath the exactor ceased,

5. യഹോവ ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ വടിയും വാഴുന്നവരുടെ ചെങ്കോലും ഒടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

5. Ceased hath the golden one. Broken hath Jehovah the staff of the wicked, The sceptre of rulers.

6. വംശങ്ങളെ ഇടവിടാതെ ക്രോധത്തോടെ അടിക്കയും ആര്ക്കും അടത്തുകൂടാത്ത ഉപദ്രവത്താല് ജാതികളെ കോപത്തോടെ ഭരിക്കയും ചെയ്തവനെ തന്നേ.

6. He who is smiting peoples in wrath, A smiting without intermission, He who is ruling in anger nations, Pursuing without restraint!

7. സര്വ്വഭൂമിയും വിശ്രമിച്ചു സ്വസ്ഥമായിരിക്കുന്നു; അവര് ആര്ത്തു പാടുന്നു.

7. At rest -- quiet hath been all the earth, They have broken forth [into] singing.

8. സരളവൃക്ഷങ്ങളും ലെബാനോനിലെ ദേവദാരുക്കളും നിന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു സന്തോഷിച്ചുനീ വീണുകിടന്നതുമുതല് ഒരു വെട്ടുകാരനും ഞങ്ങളുടെ നേരെ കയറിവരുന്നില്ല എന്നു പറയുന്നു.

8. Even firs have rejoiced over thee, Cedars of Lebanon -- [saying]: Since thou hast lain down, The hewer cometh not up against us.

9. നിന്റെ വരവിങ്കല് നിന്നെ എതിരേല്പാന് താഴേ പാതാളം നിന്റെ നിമിത്തം ഇളകിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അതു നിന്നെച്ചൊല്ലി സകലഭൂപാലന്മാരുമായ പ്രേതന്മാരെ ഉണര്ത്തുകയും ജാതികളുടെ സകലരാജാക്കന്മാരെയും സിംഹാസനങ്ങളില്നിന്നു എഴുന്നേല്പിക്കയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

9. Sheol beneath hath been troubled at thee, To meet thy coming in, It is waking up for thee Rephaim, All chiefs ones of earth, It hath raised up from their thrones All kings of nations.

10. അവരൊക്കെയും നിന്നോടുനീയും ഞങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ ബലഹീനനായോ? നീയും ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു തുല്യനായ്തീര്ന്നുവോ? എന്നു പറയും.

10. All of them answer and say unto thee, Even thou hast become weak like us! Unto us thou hast become like!

11. നിന്റെ ആഡംബരവും വാദ്യഘോഷവും പാതാളത്തിലേക്കു ഇറങ്ങിപ്പോയി; നിന്റെ കീഴെ പുഴുക്കളെ വിരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; കൃമികള് നിനക്കു പുതെപ്പായിരിക്കുന്നു.

11. Brought down to Sheol hath been thine excellency, The noise of thy psaltery, Under thee spread out hath been the worm, Yea, covering thee is the worm.

12. അരുണോദയപുത്രനായ ശുക്രാ, നീ എങ്ങനെ ആകാശത്തുനിന്നു വീണു! ജാതികളെ താഴ്ത്തിക്കളഞ്ഞവനേ, നീ എങ്ങനെ വെട്ടേറ്റു നിലത്തു വീണു!

12. How hast thou fallen from the heavens, O shining one, son of the dawn! Thou hast been cut down to earth, O weakener of nations.

13. “ഞാന് സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് കയറും; എന്റെ സിംഹാസനം ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നക്ഷത്രങ്ങള്ക്കു മീതെ വേക്കും; ഉത്തരദിക്കിന്റെ അതൃത്തിയില് സമാഗമപര്വ്വതത്തിന്മേല് ഞാന് ഇരുന്നരുളും;

13. And thou saidst in thy heart: the heavens I go up, Above stars of God I raise my throne, And I sit in the mount of meeting in the sides of the north.

14. ഞാന് മേഘോന്നതങ്ങള്ക്കു മീതെ കയറും; ഞാന് അത്യുന്നതനോടു സമനാകും” എന്നല്ലോ നീ ഹൃദയത്തില് പറഞ്ഞതു.

14. I go up above the heights of a thick cloud, I am like to the Most High.

15. എന്നാല് നീ പാതാളത്തിലേക്കു, നാശകൂപത്തിന്റെ അടിയിലേക്കു തന്നേ വീഴും.

15. Only -- unto Sheol thou art brought down, Unto the sides of the pit.

16. നിന്നെ കാണുന്നവര് നിന്നെ ഉറ്റുനോക്കിഭൂമിയെ നടുക്കുകയും രാജ്യങ്ങളെ കുലുക്കുകയും

16. Thy beholders look to thee, to thee they attend, Is this the man causing the earth to tremble, Shaking kingdoms?

17. ഭൂതലത്തെ മരുഭൂമിപോലെ ആക്കുകയും അതിലെ പട്ടണങ്ങളെ ഇടിച്ചുകളകയും തന്റെ ബദ്ധന്മാരെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു അഴിച്ചുവിടാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്തവന് ഇവനല്ലയോ എന്നു നിരൂപിക്കും.

17. He hath made the world as a wilderness, And his cities he hath broken down, Of his bound ones he opened not the house.

18. ജാതികളുടെ സകലരാജാക്കന്മാരും ഒട്ടൊഴിയാതെ താന്താന്റെ ഭവനത്തില് മഹത്വത്തോടെ കിടന്നുറങ്ങുന്നു.

18. All kings of nations -- all of them, Have lain down in honour, each in his house,

19. നിന്നെയോ നിന്ദ്യമായോരു ചുള്ളിയെപ്പോലെയും വാള്കൊണ്ടു കുത്തേറ്റു മരിച്ചു കുഴിയിലെ കല്ലുകളോളം ഇറങ്ങിയവരെക്കൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നവനായി ചവിട്ടിമെതിച്ച ശവംപോലെയും നിന്റെ കല്ലറയില്നിന്നു എറിഞ്ഞുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

19. And -- thou hast been cast out of thy grave, As an abominable branch, raiment of the slain, Thrust through ones of the sword, Going down unto the sons of the pit, As a carcase trodden down.

20. നീ നിന്റെ ദേശത്തെ നശിപ്പിച്ചു, നിന്റെ ജനത്തെ കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ടു നിനക്കു അവരെപ്പോലെ ശവസംസ്കാരം ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ സന്തതിയുടെ പേര് എന്നും നിലനില്ക്കയില്ല.

20. Thou art not united with them in burial, For thy land thou hast destroyed, Thy people thou hast slain, Not named to the age is the seed of evil doers.

21. അവന്റെ മക്കള് എഴുന്നേറ്റു ഭൂമിയെ കൈവശമാക്കുകയും ഭൂതലത്തിന്റെ ഉപരിഭാഗത്തെ പട്ടണങ്ങള്കൊണ്ടു നിറെക്കയും ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവര്ക്കും അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അകൃത്യംനിമിത്തം ഒരു കുലനിലം ഒരുക്കിക്കൊള്വിന് .

21. Prepare ye for his sons slaughter; Because of the iniquity of their fathers, They rise not, nor have possessed the land, Nor filled the face of the world [with] cities.

22. ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും വിരോധമായി എഴുന്നേലക്കും എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; ബാബേലില്നിന്നു പേരിനെയും ശേഷിപ്പിനെയും പുത്രനെയും പൌത്രനെയും ഛേദിച്ചുകളയും എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

22. And I have risen up against them, (The affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts,) And have cut off, in reference to Babylon, Name and remnant, and continuator and successor, The affirmation of Jehovah.

23. ഞാന് അതിനെ മുള്ളന് പന്നിയുടെ അവകാശവും നീര്പ്പൊയ്കകളും ആക്കും; ഞാന് അതിനെ നാശത്തിന്റെ ചൂലുകൊണ്ടു തൂത്തുവാരും എന്നും സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

23. And have made it for a possession of a bittern, And ponds of waters, And daubed it with the mire of destruction, The affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts!

24. സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ആണയിട്ടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നതുഞാന് വിചാരിച്ചതുപോലെ സംഭവിക്കും; ഞാന് നിര്ണ്ണയിച്ചതുപോലെ നിവൃത്തിയാകും.

24. Sworn hath Jehovah of Hosts, saying, 'As I thought -- so hath it not been? And as I counselled -- it standeth;

25. എന്റെ ദേശത്തുവെച്ചു ഞാന് അശ്ശൂരിനെ തകര്ക്കും; എന്റെ പര്വ്വതങ്ങളില്വെച്ചു അവനെ ചവിട്ടിക്കളയും; അങ്ങനെ അവന്റെ നുകം അവരുടെമേല് നിന്നു നീങ്ങും; അവന്റെ ചുമടു അവരുടെ തോളില്നിന്നു മാറിപ്പോകും.

25. To break Asshur in My land, And on My mountains I tread him down, And turned from off them hath his yoke, Yea, his burden from off their shoulder turneth aside.

26. സര്വ്വഭൂമിയെയും കുറിച്ചു നിര്ണ്ണയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന നിര്ണ്ണയം ഇതാകുന്നു; സകലജാതികളുടെയും മേല് നീട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്ന കൈ ഇതു തന്നേ.

26. This [is] the counsel that is counselled for all the earth, And this [is] the hand that is stretched out for all the nations.

27. സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ നിര്ണ്ണയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അതു ദുര്ബ്ബലമാക്കുന്നവനാര്? അവന്റെ കൈ നീട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അതു മടക്കുന്നവനാര്?

27. For Jehovah of Hosts hath purposed, And who doth make void? And His hand that is stretched out, Who doth turn it back?'

28. ആഹാസ്രാജാവു മരിച്ച ആണ്ടില് ഈ പ്രവാചകം ഉണ്ടായി

28. In the year of the death of king Ahaz was this burden:

29. സകലഫെലിസ്ത്യ ദേശവുമായുള്ളോവേ, നിന്നെ അടിച്ചവന്റെ വടി ഒടിഞ്ഞിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു നീ സന്തോഷിക്കേണ്ടാ; സര്പ്പത്തിന്റെ വേരില്നിന്നു ഒരു അണലി പുറപ്പെടും; അതിന്റെ ഫലം, പറക്കുന്ന അഗ്നിസര്പ്പമായിരിക്കും.

29. Rejoice not thou, Philistia, all of thee, That broken hath been the rod of thy smiter, For from the root of a serpent cometh out a viper, And its fruit [is] a flying saraph.

30. എളിയവരുടെ ആദ്യജാതന്മാര് മേയും; ദരിദ്രന്മാര് നിര്ഭയമായി കിടക്കും; എന്നാല് നിന്റെ വേരിനെ ഞാന് ക്ഷാമംകൊണ്ടു മരിക്കുമാറാക്കും; നിന്റെ ശേഷിപ്പിനെ അവന് കൊല്ലും.

30. And delighted have the first-born of the poor, And the needy in confidence lie down, And I have put to death with famine thy root, And thy remnant it slayeth.

31. വാതിലേ, അലറുക; പട്ടണമേ നിലവിളിക്ക; സകല ഫെലിസ്ത്യദേശവുമായുള്ളോവേ, നീ അലിഞ്ഞുപോയി; വടക്കുനിന്നു ഒരു പുകവരുന്നു; അവന്റെ ഗണങ്ങളില് ഉഴന്നുനടക്കുന്ന ഒരുത്തനും ഇല്ല. 32 ജാതികളുടെ ദൂതന്മാര്ക്കും കിട്ടുന്ന മറുപടിയോയഹോവ സീയോനെ സ്ഥാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവിടെ അവന്റെ ജനത്തിലെ അരിഷ്ടന്മാര് ശരണം പ്രാപിക്കും എന്നത്രേ.

31. Howl, O gate; cry, O city, Melted art thou, Philistia, all of thee, For from the north smoke hath come, And there is none alone in his set places.
