1. നിങ്ങള് ദേശാധിപതിക്കു വേണ്ടിയുള്ള കുഞ്ഞാടുകളെ സേലയില്നിന്നു മരുഭൂമിവഴിയായി സീയോന് പുത്രിയുടെ പര്വ്വതത്തിലേക്കു കൊടുത്തയപ്പിന് .

1. Send a lamb to the ruler of the land, from the rock of the desert to the mount of the daughter of Zion.

2. മോവാബിന്റെ പുത്രിമാര് കൂടു വിട്ടലയുന്ന പക്ഷികളെപ്പോലെ അര്ന്നോന്റെ കടവുകളില് ഇരിക്കും.

2. For it is as a fleeing bird cast out of the nest; the daughters of Moab shall be at the fords of Arnon.

3. ആലോചന പറഞ്ഞുതരിക; മദ്ധ്യസ്ഥം ചെയ്ക; നിന്റെ നിഴലിനെ നട്ടുച്ചെക്കു രാത്രിയെപ്പോലെ ആക്കുക; ഭ്രഷ്ടന്മാരെ ഒളിപ്പിക്ക; അലഞ്ഞു നടക്കുന്നവനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കരുതു.

3. Take counsel; do judgment; make your shadow as the night in midday; hide the outcasts; do not uncover the fugitive!

4. മോവാബിന്റെ ഭ്രഷ്ടന്മാര് നിന്നോടുകൂടെ പാര്ത്തുകൊള്ളട്ടെ; കവര്ച്ചക്കാരന്റെ മുമ്പില് നീ അവര്ക്കും ഒരു മറവായിരിക്ക; എന്നാല് പീഡകന് ഇല്ലാതെയാകും; കവര്ച്ച അവസാനിക്കും; ചവിട്ടിക്കളയുന്നവര് ദേശത്തുനിന്നു മുടിഞ്ഞുപോകും.

4. Let My outcasts stay with you, Moab. Be a hiding place to them from the face of the destroyer. For the exacter has ceased, destruction has failed; the trampler is ended out of the land.

5. അങ്ങനെ ദയയാല് സിംഹാസനം സ്ഥിരമായ്വരും; അതിന്മേല് ദാവീദിന്റെ കൂടാരത്തില്നിന്നു ഒരുത്തന് ന്യായപാലനം ചെയ്തും ന്യായതല്പരനായും നീതിനടത്തുവാന് വേഗതയുള്ളവനായും നേരോടെ ഇരിക്കും.

5. And in mercy the throne shall be founded; and he shall sit on it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging and seeking justice, and swift in righteousness.

6. We have heard of the pride of Moab, very proud; of his pride, his arrogance, and his rage; not so are his babblings.

7. So Moab shall howl for Moab; everyone shall howl; all of it shall howl for the foundations of Kir-hareseth; surely they are stricken.

8. For the fields of Heshbon droop, the vine of Sibmah. The masters of the nations have crushed its choice plants. They have come to Jazer; they wander in the desert; her branches are spread out; they have crossed the sea.

9. അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് യസേരിനോടുകൂടെ ശിബ്മയിലെ മുന്തിരിവള്ളിയെക്കുറിച്ചു കരയും; ഹെശ്ബോനേ, എലെയാലേ, ഞാന് നിന്നെ എന്റെ കണ്ണുനീരുകൊണ്ടു നനെക്കും; നിന്റെ വേനല്ക്കനികള്ക്കും നിന്റെ കൊയ്ത്തിന്നും പോര് വിളി നേരിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

9. On account of this I will weep with the weeping of Jazer, the vine of Sibmah; I will drench you with my tears, O Heshbon and Elealeh; for shouting has fallen on your fruit and on your harvest.

10. സന്തോഷവും ആനന്ദവും വിളനിലത്തുനിന്നു പോയ്പോയിരിക്കുന്നു; മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടങ്ങളില് പാട്ടില്ല, ഉല്ലാസഘോഷവുമില്ല; ചവിട്ടുകാര് ചക്കുകളില് മുന്തിരിങ്ങാ ചവിട്ടുകയുമില്ല; മുന്തിരിക്കൊയ്ത്തിന്റെ ആര്പ്പുവിളി ഞാന് നിര്ത്തിക്കളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

10. And gladness and joy is gathered up from the fruitful field; and there is no singing and no shouting in the vineyards; the one treading shall not tread out wine in the presses. I have made the shout to cease.

11. അതുകൊണ്ടു എന്റെ ഉള്ളം മോവാബിനെക്കുറിച്ചും എന്റെ അന്തരംഗം കീര്ഹേരെശിനെക്കുറിച്ചും കിന്നരംപോലെ മുഴങ്ങുന്നു.

11. For this reason my belly shall sound like a harp for Moab, and my inward parts for Kir-haresh.

12. പിന്നെ മോവാബ് പൂജാഗിരിയില് ചെന്നു പാടുപെട്ടു ക്ഷേത്രത്തില് പ്രാര്ത്ഥിപ്പാന് കടന്നാല് അവന് കൃതാര്ത്ഥനാകയില്ല.

12. And it shall be, when it is seen that Moab shall be wearied on the high place, then he shall come to his shrine to pray, and he shall not be able.

13. ഇതാകുന്നു യഹോവ പണ്ടു തന്നേ മോവാബിനെക്കുറിച്ചു അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനം.

13. This is the Word that Jehovah had spoken to Moab from that time.

14. ഇപ്പോള് യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നതോകൂലിക്കാരന്റെ ആണ്ടുപോലെയുള്ള മൂന്നു ആണ്ടിന്നകം മോവാബിന്റെ മഹത്വം അവന്റെ സര്വ്വമഹാപുരുഷാരത്തോടുകൂടെ തുച്ഛീകരിക്കപ്പെടും; അവന്റെ ശേഷിപ്പു അത്യല്പവും അഗണ്യവും ആയിരിക്കും.

14. But now Jehovah has spoken, saying, Within three years, as the years of a hireling, then the glory of Moab will be abased, with all the great host; and the remnant shall be few; small, not mighty.
