1. Let me sing, I pray you, for my beloved, A song of my beloved as to his vineyard: My beloved hath a vineyard in a fruitful hill,

2. And he fenceth it, and casteth out its stones, And planteth it [with] a choice vine, And buildeth a tower in its midst, And also a wine press hath hewn out in it, And he waiteth for the yielding of grapes, And it yieldeth bad ones!

3. ആകയാല് യെരൂശലേംനിവാസികളും യെഹൂദാപുരുഷന്മാരും ആയുള്ളോരേ, എനിക്കും എന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിന്നും മദ്ധ്യേ വിധിപ്പിന് .

3. And now, O inhabitant of Jerusalem, and man of Judah, Judge, I pray you, between me and my vineyard.

4. ഞാന് എന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തില് ചെയ്തിട്ടുള്ളതല്ലാതെ ഇനി അതില് എന്തു ചെയ്വാനുള്ളു? മുന്തിരിങ്ങ കായക്കുമെന്നു ഞാന് കാത്തിരുന്നാറെ അതു കാട്ടുമുന്തിരിങ്ങ കായിച്ചതു എന്തു? ആകയാല് വരുവിന് ;

4. What -- to do still to my vineyard, That I have not done in it! Wherefore, I waited to the yielding of grapes, And it yieldeth bad ones!

5. ഞാന് എന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തോടു എന്തു ചെയ്യും എന്നു നിങ്ങളോടു അറിയിക്കാം; ഞാന് അതിന്റെ വേലി പൊളിച്ചുകളയും; അതു തിന്നു പോകും; ഞാന് അതിന്റെ മതില് ഇടിച്ചുകളയും; അതു ചവിട്ടി മെതിച്ചുപോകും.

5. And now, pray, let me cause you to know, That which I am doing to my vineyard, To turn aside its hedge, And it hath been for consumption, To break down its wall, And it hath been for a treading-place.

6. ഞാന് അതിനെ ശൂന്യമാക്കും; അതു വള്ളിത്തല മുറിക്കാതെയും കിളെക്കാതെയും ഇരിക്കും; പറക്കാരയും മുള്ളും അതില് മുളെക്കും; അതില് മഴ പെയ്യിക്കരുതെന്നു ഞാന് മേഘങ്ങളോടു കല്പിക്കും.

6. And I make it a waste, It is not pruned, nor arranged, And gone up have brier and thorn, And on the thick clouds I lay a charge, From raining upon it rain.

7. സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം യിസ്രായേല് ഗൃഹവും അവന്റെ മനോഹരമായ നടുതല യെഹൂദാപുരുഷന്മാരും ആകുന്നു; അവന് ന്യായത്തിന്നായി കാത്തിരുന്നു; എന്നാല് ഇതാ, അന്യായം! നീതിക്കായി നോക്കിയിരുന്നു; എന്നാല് ഇതാ ഭീതി!

7. Because the vineyard of Jehovah of Hosts [Is] the house of Israel, And the man of Judah His pleasant plant, And He waiteth for judgment, and lo, oppression, For righteousness, and lo, a cry.

8. തങ്ങള് മാത്രം ദേശമദ്ധ്യേ പാര്ക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം മറ്റാര്ക്കും സ്ഥലം ഇല്ലാതാകുവോളവും വീടോടു വീടു ചേര്ക്കുംകയും വയലോടു വയല് കൂട്ടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവര്ക്കും അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!

8. Woe [to] those joining house to house, Field to field they bring near, till there is no place, And ye have been settled by yourselves In the midst of the land!

9. ഞാന് കേള്ക്കെ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുവലിയതും നല്ലതുമായിരിക്കുന്ന പല വീടുകളും ആള് പാര്പ്പില്ലാതെ ശൂന്യമാകും നിശ്ചയം.

9. By the weapons of Jehovah of Hosts Do not many houses a desolation become? Great and good without inhabitant!

10. പത്തു കാണി മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തില്നിന്നു ഒരു ബത്തും ഒരു ഹോമര് വിത്തില്നിന്നു ഒരു ഏഫയും മാത്രം കിട്ടും.

10. For ten acres of vineyard do yield one bath, And an homer of seed yieldeth an ephah.

11. അതികാലത്തു എഴുന്നേറ്റു മദ്യം തേടി ഔടുകയും വീഞ്ഞു കുടിച്ചു മത്തരായി സന്ധ്യാസമയത്തു വൈകി ഇരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവര്ക്കും അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!

11. Woe [to] those rising early in the morning, Strong drink they pursue! Tarrying in twilight, wine inflameth them!

12. അവരുടെ വിരുന്നുകളില് കിന്നരവും വീണയും തപ്പും കുഴലും വീഞ്ഞും ഉണ്ടു; എന്നാല് യഹോവയുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിയെ അവര് നോക്കുന്നില്ല, അവന്റെ കൈവേലയെ വിചാരിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

12. And harp, and psaltery, tabret, and pipe, And wine, have been their banquets, And the work of Jehovah they behold not, Yea, the work of His hands they have not seen.

13. അങ്ങനെ എന്റെ ജനം അറിവില്ലായ്കയാല് പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്കു പോകുന്നു; അവരുടെ മാന്യന്മാര് പട്ടിണികിടക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ ജനസമൂഹം ദാഹത്താല് വരണ്ടുപോകുന്നു.

13. Therefore my people removed without knowledge, And its honourable ones are famished, And its multitude dried up of thirst.

14. അതുകൊണ്ടു പാതാളം തൊണ്ട തുറന്നു, വിസ്താരമായി വായ് പിളര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ മഹിമയും ആരവവും ഘോഷവും അവയില് ഉല്ലസിക്കുന്നവരും അതിലേക്കു ഇറങ്ങിപ്പോകുന്നു.

14. Therefore hath Sheol enlarged herself, And hath opened her mouth without limit. And gone down hath its honour, and its multitude, And its noise, and its exulting one -- into her.

15. അങ്ങനെ മനുഷ്യന് കുനിയുകയും പുരുഷന് വണങ്ങുകയും നിഗളികളുടെ കണ്ണു താഴുകയും ചെയ്യും.

15. And bowed down is the low, and humbled the high, And the eyes of the haughty become low,

16. എന്നാല് സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ന്യായവിധിയില് ഉന്നതനായിരിക്കയും പരിശുദ്ധദൈവം നീതിയില് തന്നെത്താന് പരിശുദ്ധനായി കാണിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

16. And Jehovah of Hosts is high in judgment, And the Holy God sanctified in righteousness,

17. അപ്പോള് കുഞ്ഞാടുകള് മേച്ചല്പുറത്തെന്നപോലെ മേയും; പുഷ്ടിയുള്ളവരുടെ ശൂന്യപ്രദേശങ്ങളെ സഞ്ചാരികള് അനുഭവിക്കും.

17. And fed have lambs according to their leading, And waste places of the fat ones Do sojourners consume.

18. വ്യാജപാശംകൊണ്ടു അകൃത്യത്തെയും വണ്ടിക്കയറുകൊണ്ടു എന്നപോലെ പാപത്തെയും വലിക്കയും

18. Woe [to] those drawing out iniquity with cords of vanity, And as [with] thick ropes of the cart -- sin.

19. അവന് ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ടു തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിയെ വേഗത്തില് നിവര്ത്തിക്കട്ടെ; കാണാമല്ലോ; യിസ്രായേലിന് പരിശുദ്ധന്റെ ആലോചന അടുത്തുവരട്ടെ; നമുക്കു അറിയാമല്ലോ എന്നു പറകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവര്ക്കും അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!

19. Who are saying, 'Let Him hurry, Let Him hasten His work, that we may see, And let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel Draw near and come, and we know.'

20. തിന്മെക്കു നന്മ എന്നും നന്മെക്കു തിന്മ എന്നും പേര് പറകയും ഇരുട്ടിനെ വെളിച്ചവും വെളിച്ചത്തെ ഇരുട്ടും ആക്കുകയും കൈപ്പിനെ മധുരവും മധുരത്തെ കൈപ്പും ആക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവര്ക്കും അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!

20. Woe [to] those saying to evil 'good,' And to good 'evil,' Putting darkness for light, and light for darkness, Putting bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter.

21. തങ്ങള്ക്കുതന്നേ ജ്ഞാനികളായും തങ്ങള്ക്കു തന്നേ വിവേകികളായും തോന്നുന്നവര്ക്കും അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!

21. Woe [to] the wise in their own eyes, And -- before their own faces -- intelligent!

22. വീഞ്ഞു കുടിപ്പാന് വീരന്മാരും മദ്യം കലര്ത്തുവാന് ശൂരന്മാരും ആയുള്ളവര്ക്കും

22. Woe [to] the mighty to drink wine, And men of strength to mingle strong drink.

23. സമ്മാനംനിമിത്തം ദുഷ്ടനെ നീതീകരിക്കയും നീതിമാന്റെ നീതിയെ ഇല്ലാതാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവര്ക്കും അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!

23. Declaring righteous the wicked for a bribe, And the righteousness of the righteous They turn aside from him.

24. അതുകൊണ്ടു തീനാവു താളടിയെ തിന്നുകളകയും വൈക്കോല് ജ്വാലയാല് ദഹിച്ചുപോകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതുപോലെ അവരുടെ വേരു കെട്ടുപോകും; അവരുടെ പുഷ്പം പൊടിപോലെ പറന്നു പോകും; അവര് സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു, യിസ്രായേലിന് പരിശുദ്ധന്റെ വചനത്തെ നിന്ദിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

24. Therefore, as a tongue of fire devoureth stubble, And flaming hay falleth, Their root is as muck, And their flower as dust goeth up. Because they have rejected the law of Jehovah of Hosts, And the saying of the Holy One of Israel despised.

25. അതുനിമിത്തം യഹോവയുടെ കോപം തന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ നേരെ ജ്വലിക്കും; അവന് അവരുടെ നേരെ കൈ നീട്ടി അവരെ ദണ്ഡിപ്പിക്കും; അപ്പോള് മലകള് വിറെക്കയും അവരുടെ ശവങ്ങള് വീഥികളുടെ നടുവില് ചവറുപോലെ ആയിത്തീരുകയും ചെയ്യും; ഇതെല്ലാംകൊണ്ടും അവന്റെ കോപം അടങ്ങാതെ അവന്റെ കൈ ഇനിയും നീട്ടിയിരിക്കും.

25. Therefore hath the anger of Jehovah burned among His people, And He stretcheth out His hand against it, And smiteth it, and the mountains tremble, And their carcase is as filth in the midst of the out-places. With all this His anger did not turn back, And still His hand is stretched out!

26. അവന് ദൂരത്തുള്ള ജാതികള്ക്കു ഒരു കൊടി, ഉയര്ത്തി, ഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റത്തുനിന്നു അവരെ ചൂളകുത്തിവിളിക്കും; അവര് ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ടു വേഗത്തില് വരും.

26. And He lifted up an ensign to nations afar off, And hissed to it from the end of the earth, And lo, with haste, swift it cometh.

27. അവരില് ഒരുത്തനും ക്ഷീണിക്കയോ ഇടറുകയോ ചെയ്കയില്ല; ഒരുത്തനും ഉറക്കം തൂങ്ങുകയില്ല, ഉറങ്ങുകയുമില്ല; അവരുടെ അരക്കച്ച അഴികയില്ല, ചെരിപ്പുവാറു പൊട്ടുകയുമില്ല.

27. There is none weary, nor stumbling in it, It doth not slumber, nor sleep, Nor opened hath been the girdle of its loins, Nor drawn away the latchet of its sandals.

28. അവരുടെ അമ്പു കൂര്ത്തും വില്ലു എല്ലാം കുലെച്ചും ഇരിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ കുതിരകളുടെ കുളമ്പു തീക്കല്ലുപോലെയും അവരുടെ രഥചക്രം ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റുപോലെയും തോന്നും.

28. Whose arrows [are] sharp, and all its bows bent, Hoofs of its horses as flint have been reckoned, And its wheels as a hurricane!

29. അവരുടെ ഗര്ജ്ജനം സിംഹത്തിന്റേതുപോലെ ഇരിക്കും; അവര് ബാലസിംഹങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ ഗര്ജ്ജിക്കും; അവര് അലറി, ഇരപിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോകും; ആരും വിടുവിക്കയും ഇല്ല.

29. Its roaring [is] like a lioness, It roareth like young lions, And it howleth, and seizeth prey, And carrieth away safely, and there is none delivering.

30. അന്നാളില് അവര് കടലിന്റെ അലര്ച്ചപോലെ അവരുടെ നേരെ അലറും; ദേശത്തു നോക്കിയാല് ഇതാ, അന്ധകാരവും കഷ്ടതയും തന്നേ; അതിന്റെ മേഘങ്ങളില് വെളിച്ചം ഇരുണ്ടുപോകും.

30. And it howleth against it in that day as the howling of a sea, And it hath looked attentively to the land, And lo, darkness -- distress, And light hath been darkened by its abundance!
