1. എന്റെ മേച്ചല്പുറത്തെ ആടുകളെ നശിപ്പിക്കയും ചിതറിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്ന ഇടയന്മാര്ക്കും അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

1. This is what the Lord says: 'Go down to the palace of the king of Judah and prophesy this message there:

2. അതുകൊണ്ടു, തന്റെ ജനത്തെ മേയിക്കുന്ന ഇടയന്മാരെക്കുറിച്ചു യസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുനിങ്ങള് എന്റെ ആട്ടിന് കൂട്ടത്തെ സൂക്ഷിക്കാതെ അവയെ ചിതറിച്ചുഔടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇതാ ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളുടെ ദോഷത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു നിങ്ങളോടു ചോദിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

2. 'Hear the word of the Lord, king of Judah, who rules from David's throne. You and your officers, and your people who come through these gates, listen!

3. എന്റെ ആട്ടിന് കൂട്ടത്തില് ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവയെ ഞാന് അവയെ നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന സകലദേശങ്ങളില്നിന്നും ശേഖരിച്ചു അവയുടെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളിലേക്കു വീണ്ടും കൊണ്ടുവരും; അവ വര്ദ്ധിച്ചു പെരുകും.

3. This is what the Lord says: Do what is fair and right. Save the one who has been robbed from the power of his attacker. Don't mistreat or hurt the foreigners, orphans, or widows. Don't kill innocent people here.

4. അവയെ മേയിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് ഇടയന്മാരെ നിയമിക്കും; അവ ഇനി പേടിക്കയില്ല, ഭ്രമിക്കയില്ല, കാണാതെപോകയുമില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

4. If you carefully obey these commands, kings who sit on David's throne will come through the gates of this palace with their officers and people, riding in chariots and on horses.

5. ഞാന് ദാവീദിന്നു നീതിയുള്ളോരു മുളയായവനെ ഉത്ഭവിപ്പിക്കുന്ന കാലം വരും; അവന് രാജാവായി വാണു ബുദ്ധിയോടെ പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു ദേശത്തു നീതിയും ന്യായവും നടത്തും.

5. But if you don't obey these commands, says the Lord, I swear by my own name that this king's palace will become a ruin.''

6. അവന്റെ കാലത്തു യെഹൂദാ രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടും; യിസ്രായേല് നിര്ഭയമായി വസിക്കും; അവന്നു യഹോവ നമ്മുടെ നീതി എന്നു പേര് പറയും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

6. This is what the Lord says about the palace where the king of Judah lives: 'You are tall like the forests of Gilead, like the mountaintops of Lebanon. But I will truly make you into a desert, into towns where no one lives.

7. ആകയാല് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന യഹോവയാണ എന്നു ഇനി പറയാതെ,

7. I will send men to destroy the palace, each with his weapons. They will cut up your strong, beautiful cedar beams and throw them into the fire.

8. യിസ്രായേല് ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ സന്തതിയെ വടക്കുദേശത്തുനിന്നും ഞാന് അവരെ നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞിരുന്ന സകലദേശങ്ങളില്നിന്നും പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന യഹോവയാണ എന്നു പറയുന്ന കാലം വരും; അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ സ്വന്തദേശത്തു വസിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

8. People from many nations will pass by this city and ask each other, 'Why has the Lord done such a terrible thing to Jerusalem, this great city?'

9. പ്രവാചകന്മാരെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള അരുളപ്പാടുഎന്റെ ഹൃദയം എന്റെ ഉള്ളില് നുറുങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ അസ്ഥികള് ഒക്കെയും ഇളകുന്നു; യഹോവ നിമിത്തവും അവന്റെ വിശുദ്ധവചനങ്ങള് നിമിത്തവും ഞാന് , മത്തനായിരിക്കുന്നവനെപ്പോലെയും വീഞ്ഞു കുടിച്ചു ലഹരിപിടിച്ചവനെപ്പോലെയും ആയിരിക്കുന്നു.

9. And the answer will be: 'Because the people of Judah quit following the agreement with the Lord their God. They worshiped and served other gods.''

10. ദേശം വ്യഭിചാരികളെക്കൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ശാപം നിമിത്തം ദേശം ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നു; മരുഭൂമിയിലെ മേച്ചല്പുറങ്ങള് ഉണങ്ങിപ്പോയിരിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ ഔട്ടം ദോഷമുള്ളതും അവരുടെ ബലം നേരുകെട്ടതും ആകുന്നു.

10. Don't cry for the dead king or be sad about him. But cry painfully for the king who is being taken away, because he will never return or see his homeland again.

11. പ്രവാചകനും പുരോഹിതനും ഒരുപോലെ വഷളന്മാരായിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ആലയത്തിലും ഞാന് അവരുടെ ദുഷ്ടത കാണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

11. This is what the Lord says about Jehoahaz son of Josiah who became king of Judah after his father died and who has left this place: 'He will never return.

12. അതുകൊണ്ടു അവരുടെ വഴി അവര്ക്കും ഇരുട്ടത്തു വഴുവഴുപ്പു ആയിരിക്കും; അവര് അതില് കാല്തെറ്റി വീഴും; ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും അനര്ത്ഥം, അവരുടെ സന്ദര്ശനകാലം തന്നേ, വരുത്തും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

12. He will die where he has been taken captive, and he will not see this land again.'

13. ശമര്യ്യയിലെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരില് ഞാന് ഭോഷത്വം കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; അവര് ബാലിന്റെ നാമത്തില് പ്രവചിച്ചു എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെ തെറ്റിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

13. How terrible it will be for one who builds his palace by doing evil, who cheats people so he can build its upper rooms. He makes his own people work for nothing and does not pay them.

14. യെരൂശലേമിലെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരിലോ ഞാന് അതിഭയങ്കരമായുള്ളതു കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; അവര് വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്തു വ്യാജത്തില് നടക്കുന്നു; ആരും തന്റെ ദുഷ്ടത വിട്ടുതിരിയാതവണ്ണം അവര് ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാരെ ധൈര്യപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു; അവരെല്ലാവരും എനിക്കു സൊദോംപോലെയും, അതിലെ നിവാസികള് ഗൊമോറ പോലെയും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

14. He says, 'I will build a great palace for myself with large upper rooms.' So he builds it with large windows and uses cedar wood for the walls, which he paints red.

15. അതുകൊണ്ടു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ പ്രവാചകന്മാരെക്കുറിച്ചു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് അവരെ കാഞ്ഞിരം തീറ്റി നഞ്ചുവെള്ളം കുടിപ്പിക്കും; യെരൂശലേമിലെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരില്നിന്നല്ലോ വഷളത്വം ദേശത്തെല്ലാടവും പരന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു.

15. 'Does having a lot of cedar in your house make you a great king? Your father was satisfied to have food and drink. He did what was right and fair, so everything went well for him.

16. സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുനിങ്ങളോടു പ്രവചിക്കുന്ന പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെ വാക്കു കേള്ക്കരുതു; അവര് നിങ്ങളെ വ്യാജം ഉപദേശിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവയുടെ വായില്നിന്നുള്ളതല്ല സ്വന്തഹൃദയത്തിലെ ദര്ശനമത്രേ അവര് പ്രവചിക്കുന്നതു.

16. He helped those who were poor and needy, so everything went well for him. That is what it means to know God,' says the Lord.

17. എന്നെ നിരസിക്കുന്നവരോടു അവര്നിങ്ങള്ക്കു സമാധാനം ഉണ്ടാകും എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറയുന്നു; തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ ശാഠ്യപ്രകാരം നടക്കുന്നവരോടൊക്കെയുംനിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഒരു ദോഷവും വരികയില്ല എന്നും പറയുന്നു.

17. 'But you only look for and think about what you can get dishonestly. You are even willing to kill innocent people to get it. You feel free to hurt people and to steal from them.'

18. യഹോവയുടെ വചനം ദര്ശിച്ചുകേള്പ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം അവന്റെ ആലോചനസഭയില് നിന്നവന് ആര്? അവന്റെ വചനം ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നവന് ആര്?

18. So this is what the Lord says to Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah: 'The people of Judah will not cry when Jehoiakim dies, saying: 'Oh, my brother,' or 'Oh, my sister.' They will not cry for him, saying: 'Oh, master,' or 'Oh, my king.'

19. യഹോവയുടെ ക്രോധം എന്ന കൊടുങ്കാറ്റു, വലിയ ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റുതന്നേ, പുറപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; അതു ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ തലമേല് ചുറ്റിയടിക്കും.

19. They will bury him like a donkey, dragging his body away and throwing it outside the gates of Jerusalem.

20. തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ ഉദ്ദേശങ്ങളെ നടത്തിത്തീരുവോളം യഹോവയുടെ കോപം മാറുകയില്ല; ഭാവികാലത്തു നിങ്ങള് അതിനെ പൂര്ണ്ണമായി ഗ്രഹിക്കും.

20. 'Judah, go up to Lebanon and cry out. Let your voice be heard in Bashan. Cry out from Abarim, because all your friends are destroyed!

21. ഞാന് ഈ പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ അയക്കാതിരുന്നിട്ടും അവര് ഔടി; ഞാന് അവരോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യാതിരുന്നിട്ടും അവര് പ്രവചിച്ചു.

21. Judah, when you were successful, I warned you, but you said, 'I won't listen.' You have acted like this since you were young; you have not obeyed me.

22. അവര് എന്റെ ആലോചനസഭയില് നിന്നിരുന്നുവെങ്കില്, എന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ എന്റെ ജനത്തെ കേള്പ്പിച്ചു അവരെ അവരുടെ ആകാത്തവഴിയില്നിന്നും അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളുടെ ദോഷത്തില്നിന്നും തിരിപ്പിക്കുമായിരുന്നു.

22. Like a storm, my punishment will blow all your shepherds away and send your friends into captivity. Then you will really be ashamed and disgraced because of all the wicked things you did.

23. ഞാന് സമീപസ്ഥനായ ദൈവം മാത്രം ആകുന്നുവോ? ദൂരസ്ഥനായ ദൈവവുമല്ലയോ? എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

23. King, you live in your palace, cozy in your rooms of cedar. But when your punishment comes, how you will groan like a woman giving birth to a baby!

24. ഞാന് കാണാതവണ്ണം ആര്ക്കെങ്കിലും മറയത്തു ഒളിപ്പാന് കഴിയുമോ? എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; ഞാന് ആകാശവും ഭൂമിയും നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നവനല്ലയോ എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

24. 'As surely as I live,' says the Lord, 'Jehoiachin son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, even if you were a signet ring on my right hand, I would still pull you off.

25. ഞാന് സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടു, സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു എന്റെ നാമത്തില് ഭോഷകു പ്രവചിക്കുന്ന പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെ വാക്കു ഞാന് കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

25. I will hand you over to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and to the Babylonians -- those people you fear because they want to kill you.

26. സ്വന്തഹൃദയത്തിലെ വഞ്ചനയുടെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരായി ഭോഷകു പ്രവചിക്കുന്ന പ്രവാചകന്മാര്ക്കും ഈ താല്പര്യം എത്രത്തോളം ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കും?

26. I will throw you and your mother into another country. Neither of you was born there, but both of you will die there.

27. അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര് ബാല് നിമിത്തം എന്റെ നാമം മറന്നുകളഞ്ഞതുപോലെ ഇവര് അന്യോന്യം വിവരിച്ചു പറയുന്ന സ്വപ്നങ്ങള്കൊണ്ടു എന്റെ ജനം എന്റെ നാമം മറന്നുകളയേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇടവരുത്തുവാന് വിചാരിക്കുന്നു.

27. They will want to come back, but they will never be able to return.'

28. സ്വപ്നംകണ്ട പ്രവാചകന് സ്വപ്നം വിവരിക്കട്ടെ; എന്റെ വചനം ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവന് എന്റെ വചനം വിശ്വസ്തതയോടെ പ്രസ്താവിക്കട്ടെ; വൈക്കോലും കോതമ്പും തമ്മില് ഒക്കുമോ എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

28. Jehoiachin is like a broken pot someone threw away; he is like something no one wants. thrown out and sent into a foreign land?

29. എന്റെ വചനം തീ പോലെയും പാറയെ തകര്ക്കുംന്ന ചുറ്റികപോലെയും അല്ലയോ എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

29. Land, land, land of Judah, hear the word of the Lord!

30. അതുകൊണ്ടു ഒരുത്തനോടു ഒരുത്തന് എന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ മോഷ്ടിക്കുന്ന പ്രവാചകന്മാര്ക്കും ഞാന് വിരോധമാകുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

30. This is what the Lord says: 'Write this down in the record about Jehoiachin: He is a man without children, a man who will not be successful in his lifetime. And none of his descendants will be successful; none will sit on the throne of David or rule in Judah.'
