1. യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ സിദെക്കീയാവിന്റെ പത്താം ആണ്ടില്, നെബൂഖദ്നേസരിന്റെ പതിനെട്ടാം ആണ്ടില് തന്നേ, യഹോവയിങ്കല്നിന്നു യിരെമ്യാവിന്നുണ്ടായ അരുളപ്പാടു.

1. At that time, says the Lord, I will be a God to the family of Israel, and they shall be to Me a people.

2. അന്നു ബാബേല്രാജാവിന്റെ സൈന്യം യെരൂശലേമിനെ നിരോധിച്ചിരുന്നു; യിരെമ്യാപ്രവാചകനോ യെഹൂദാരാജാവിന്റെ അരമനയുടെ കാവല്പുരമുറ്റത്തു അടെക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.

2. Thus says the Lord: I found him warm in the wilderness with them that were slain with the sword: therefore go and do not destroy Israel.

3. ഞാന് ഈ നഗരത്തെ ബാബേല്രാജാവിന്റെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിക്കും; അവന് അതിനെ പിടിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നും

3. The Lord appeared to him from afar, [saying], I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn you.

4. യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ സിദെക്കീയാവു കല്ദയരുടെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകാതെ, ബാബേല്രാജാവിന്റെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടും; അവന് ഇവനുമായി വായോടുവായ് സംസാരിക്കയും കണ്ണോടുകണ്ണു കാണുകയും ചെയ്യും;

4. For I will build you, and you shall be built, O virgin of Israel. You shall yet take your timbrel, and go forth with the party of them that make merry.

5. അവന് സിദെക്കീയാവെ ബാബേലിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോകും; ഞാന് അവനെ സന്ദര്ശിക്കുംവരെ അവന് അവിടെ ഇരിക്കും; നിങ്ങള് കല്ദയരോടു യുദ്ധംചെയ്താലും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു സാദ്ധ്യം ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എന്നും നീ പ്രവചിപ്പാന് എന്തു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ സിദെക്കീയാവു അവനെ അവിടെ അടെച്ചിരുന്നു.

5. For you have planted vineyards on the mountains of Samaria. Plant, and praise.

6. യിരെമ്യാവു പറഞ്ഞതുയഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

6. For it is a day when those that plead on the mountains of Ephraim shall call, [saying], Arise, and go up to Zion to the Lord your God.

7. നിന്റെ ഇളയപ്പനായ ശല്ലൂമിന്റെ മകന് ഹനമെയേല് നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നുഅനാഥേത്തിലെ എന്റെ നിലം മേടിച്ചുകൊള്ക; അതു മേടിപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം വീണ്ടെടുപ്പിന്റെ അവകാശം നിനക്കുള്ളതല്ലോ എന്നു പറയും.

7. For thus says the Lord to Jacob: Rejoice, and exult over the head of the nations: make proclamation, and praise. Say, The Lord has delivered His people, the remnant of Israel.

8. യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ എന്റെ ഇളയപ്പന്റെ മകന് ഹനമെയേല് കാവല്പുരമുറ്റത്തു എന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നുബെന്യാമീന് ദേശത്തു അനാഥോത്തിലെ എന്റെ നിലം മേടിക്കേണമേ; അവകാശം നിനക്കുള്ളതല്ലോ, വീണ്ടെടുപ്പും നിനക്കുള്ളതു; നീ അതു മേടിച്ചുകൊള്ളേണം എന്നു എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞു അതു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എന്നു ഞാന് ഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

8. Behold, I bring them from the north, and I will gather them from the end of the earth to the feast of the Passover: and [the people] shall beget a great multitude, and they shall return there.

9. അങ്ങനെ ഞാന് ഇളയപ്പന്റെ മകന് ഹനമെയേലിനോടു അനാഥോത്തിലെ നിലം മേടിച്ചു, വില പതിനേഴു ശേക്കെല് വെള്ളി തൂക്കിക്കൊടുത്തു.

9. They went forth with weeping, and I will bring them back with consolation, causing them to lodge by the channels of waters in a straight way, and they shall not err in it: for I have become a father to Israel, and Ephraim is My firstborn.

10. ആധാരം എഴുതി മുദ്രയിട്ടു സാക്ഷികളെക്കൊണ്ടു ഒപ്പിടുവിച്ച ശേഷം ഞാന് പണം അവന്നു തുലാസില് തൂക്കിക്കൊടുത്തു.

10. Hear the words of the Lord, you nations, and proclaim [them] to the islands afar off. Say, He that scattered Israel will also gather him, and keep him as one that feeds his flock.

11. ഇങ്ങനെ ന്യായവും പതിവും അനുസരിച്ചു മുദ്രയിട്ടിരുന്നതും തുറന്നിരുന്നതുമായ ആധാരങ്ങള് ഞാന് വാങ്ങി,

11. For the Lord has ransomed Jacob, He has rescued him out of the hand of them [that were] stronger than he.

12. ഇളയപ്പന്റെ മകനായ ഹനമെയേലും ആധാരത്തില് ഒപ്പിട്ടിരുന്ന സാക്ഷികളും കാവല്പുരമുറ്റത്തു ഇരുന്നിരുന്ന യെഹൂദന്മാരൊക്കെയും കാണ്കെ ആധാരം മഹസേയാവിന്റെ മകനായ നേര്യ്യാവിന്റെ മകന് ബാരൂക്കിന്റെ പക്കല് കൊടുത്തു.

12. And they shall come, and shall rejoice in the mount of Zion, and shall come to the good things of the Lord, to a land of wheat, and wine, and fruits, and cattle, and sheep. And their soul shall be as a fruitful tree; and they shall hunger no more.

13. അവര് കേള്ക്കെ ഞാന് ബാരൂക്കിനോടു കല്പിച്ചതെന്തെന്നാല്

13. Then shall the virgins rejoice in the assembly of youth, and the old men shall rejoice; and I will turn their mourning into joy, and will make them merry.

14. യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുമുദ്രയിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നതും തുറന്നിരിക്കുന്നതുമായ ഈ ആധാരങ്ങളെ മേടിച്ചു അവ ഏറിയകാലം നില്പാന്തക്കവണ്ണം ഒരു മണ്പാത്രത്തില് വെക്കുക.

14. I will expand and cheer with wine the soul of the priests, the sons of Levi, and My people shall be satisfied with My good things. Thus says the Lord.

15. ഇനിയും ഈ ദേശത്തു വീടുകളും നിലങ്ങളും മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടങ്ങളും ക്രയവിക്രയം ചെയ്യും എന്നു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

15. A voice was heard in Ramah, [that] of lamentation, and of weeping, and wailing- Rachel would not cease weeping for her children, because they are not.

16. അങ്ങനെ ആധാരം നേര്യ്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ ബാരൂക്കിന്റെ പക്കല് ഏല്പിച്ചശേഷം, ഞാന് യഹോവയോടു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചതു എന്തെന്നാല്

16. Thus says the Lord: Let your voice cease from weeping, and your eyes from your tears; for your work shall be rewarded, and they shall return from the land of [your] enemies.

17. അയ്യോ, യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവേ, നിന്റെ മഹാശക്തികൊണ്ടും നീട്ടിയ ഭുജം കൊണ്ടും നീ ആകാശത്തെയും ഭൂമിയെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കി; നിനക്കു അസാദ്ധ്യമായതു ഒന്നുമില്ല.

17. [There shall be] an abiding [home] for your children.

18. നീ ആയിരം തലമുറയോളം ദയകാണിക്കയും പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അകൃത്യത്തിന്നു അവരുടെ ശേഷം അവരുടെ മക്കളുടെ മാര്വ്വിടത്തില് പകരം കൊടുക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; മഹത്വവും വല്ലഭത്വവുമുള്ള ദൈവമേ, സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ എന്നല്ലോ നിന്റെ നാമം.

18. I have heard the sound of Ephraim lamenting, [and saying], You have chastened me, and I was chastened; I as a calf was not [willingly] taught: turn me, and I shall turn; for You [are] the Lord my God.

19. നീ ആലോചനയില് വലിയവനും പ്രവൃത്തിയില് ശക്തിമാനും ആകുന്നു; ഔരോരുത്തന്നു അവനവന്റെ നടപ്പിന്നും പ്രവൃത്തികളുടെ ഫലത്തിന്നും തക്കവണ്ണം കൊടുക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ മനുഷ്യരുടെ എല്ലാവഴികളിന്മേലും ദൃഷ്ടിവെക്കുന്നു.

19. For after my captivity I repented, and after I knew, I groaned for the day of shame, and showed You that I bore reproach from my youth.

20. നീ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തും ഇന്നുവരെയും യിസ്രായേലിലും മറ്റു മനുഷ്യരുടെ ഇടയിലും അടയാളങ്ങളും അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു ഇന്നുള്ളതുപോലെ നിനക്കു ഒരു നാമം സമ്പാദിക്കുകയും

20. Ephraim is a beloved son, a pleasing child to Me: for because My words are in him, I will surely remember him. Therefore I made haste [to help] him. I will surely have mercy upon him, says the Lord.

21. നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെ അടയാളങ്ങള്കൊണ്ടും അത്ഭുതങ്ങള്കൊണ്ടും ബലമുള്ള കൈകൊണ്ടും നീട്ടിയ ഭുജംകൊണ്ടും മഹാഭീതികൊണ്ടും മിസ്രയീം ദേശത്തുനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവരികയും

21. Prepare yourself, O Zion; execute vengeance. Look to your ways; return, O virgin of Israel, by the way in which you went, return mourning to your cities.

22. അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര്ക്കും കൊടുപ്പാന് നീ അവരോടു സത്യം ചെയ്തതായി പാലും തേനും ഒഴുകുന്ന ഈ ദേശത്തെ അവര്ക്കും കൊടുക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

22. How long, O disgraced daughter, will you turn away? For the Lord has created safety for a new plantation. Men shall go about in safety.

23. അവര് അതില് കടന്നു അതിനെ കൈവശമാക്കി; എങ്കിലും അവര് നിന്റെ വാക്കു അനുസരിക്കയോ നിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം പോലെ നടക്കയോ ചെയ്തില്ല; ചെയ്വാന് നീ അവരോടു കല്പിച്ചതൊന്നും അവര് ചെയ്തില്ല; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഈ അനര്ത്ഥം ഒക്കെയും നീ അവര്ക്കും വരുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

23. For thus says the Lord: They shall yet speak this word in the land of Judah, and in its cities, when I shall turn his captivity; blessed be the Lord on His righteous holy mountain!

24. ഇതാ, വാടകള്! നഗരത്തെ പിടിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു! വാളും ക്ഷാമവും മഹാമാരിയും ഹേതുവായി ഈ നഗരം അതിന്നു നേരെ യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യുന്ന കല്ദയരുടെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ അരുളിചെയ്തതു സംഭവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ അതു കാണുന്നുവല്ലോ.

24. And there shall be inhabitants in the cities of Judah, and in all his land, together with the farmers, and [the shepherd] shall go forth with the flock.

25. യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവേ, നഗരം കല്ദയരുടെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കെ, നിലം വിലെക്കു മേടിച്ചു അതിന്നു സാക്ഷികളെ വേക്കുവാന് നീ എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചുവല്ലോ.

25. For I have saturated every thirsting soul, and filled every hungry soul.

26. അപ്പോള് യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു യിരെമ്യാവിന്നുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

26. Therefore I awoke, and beheld; and my sleep was sweet to me.

27. ഞാന് സകലജഡത്തിന്റെയും ദൈവമായ യഹോവയാകുന്നു; എനിക്കു കഴിയാത്ത വല്ല കാര്യവും ഉണ്ടോ?

27. Therefore behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and the seed of beast.

28. അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് ഈ നഗരത്തെ കല്ദയരുടെ കയ്യിലും ബാബേല്രാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസരിന്റെ കയ്യിലും ഏല്പിക്കും; അവന് അതിനെ പിടിക്കും.

28. And it shall come to pass, that as I watched over them, to pull down, and to afflict, so will I watch over them, to build, and to plant, says the Lord.

29. ഈ നഗരത്തിന്റെ നേരെ യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യുന്ന കല്ദയര് കടന്നു നഗരത്തിന്നു തീ വെച്ചു അതിനെ, എന്നെ കോപിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു മേല്പുരകളില്വെച്ചു ബാലിന്നു ധൂപംകാട്ടി അന്യദേവന്മാര്ക്കും പാനീയ ബലി പകര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്ന വീടുകളോടുകൂടെ ചുട്ടുകളയും.

29. In those days they shall certainly not say, The fathers ate a sour grape, and the children's teeth were set on edge.

30. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളും യെഹൂദാമക്കളും ബാല്യംമുതല് എനിക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു മാത്രം ചെയ്തുവന്നു; യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് തങ്ങളുടെ കൈകളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികള്കൊണ്ടു എന്നെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചതേയുള്ളു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

30. But everyone shall die in his own sin; and the teeth of him that eats the sour grape shall be set on edge.

31. അവര് ഈ നഗരത്തെ പാണിത നാള്മുതല് ഇന്നുവരെയും ഞാന് അതിനെ എന്റെ മുമ്പില്നിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളയത്തക്കവണ്ണം അതു എനിക്കു കോപവും ക്രോധവും വരുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

31. Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah.

32. എന്നെ കോപിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളും യെഹൂദാമക്കളും അവരുടെ രാജാക്കന്മാരും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും പുരോഹിതന്മാരും പ്രവാചകന്മാരും യെഹൂദാപുരുഷന്മാരും യെരൂശലേംനിവാസികളും ചെയ്ത സകലദോഷവുംനിമിത്തം തന്നേ.

32. Not according to the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day when I took hold of their hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; for they abode not in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the Lord.

33. അവര് മുഖമല്ല, പുറമത്രേ എങ്കലേക്കു തിരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതു; ഞാന് ഇടവിടാതെ അവരെ ഉപദേശിച്ചു പഠിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടും ഉപദേശം കൈക്കൊള്വാന് അവര് മനസ്സുവെച്ചില്ല.

33. For this is My covenant which I will make with the house of Israel: after those days, says the Lord, I will surely put My laws into their mind, and write them on their hearts. And I will be to them a God, and they shall be to Me a people.

34. എന്റെ നാമം വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ആലയത്തെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കുവാന് തക്കവണ്ണം അവര് അതില് മ്ളേച്ഛവിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചു.

34. And no more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord. For all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. For I will be merciful to their iniquities, and their sins I will remember no more.

35. മോലെക്കിന്നു തങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും ദഹിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവര് ബെന് ഹിന്നോം താഴ്വരയില് ബാലിന്റെ പൂജാഗിരികളെ പണിതു; ഈ മ്ളേച്ചതകളെ പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു യെഹൂദയെക്കൊണ്ടു പാപം ചെയ്യിപ്പാന് ഞാന് അവരോടു കല്പിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; എന്റെ മനസ്സില് അതു തോന്നീട്ടുമില്ല.

35. Thus says the Lord, who gives the sun for a light by day, the moon and the stars for a light by night, and [makes] a roaring in the sea, so that its waves roar: the Lord Almighty is His name:

36. ഇപ്പോള്, വാള്, ക്ഷാമം, മഹാമാരി എന്നിവയാല് ബാബേല്രാജാവിന്റെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് പറയുന്ന ഈ നഗരത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു;

36. if these ordinances cease from before Me, says the Lord, then shall the family of Israel cease to be a nation before Me forever.

37. എന്റെ കോപത്തിലും ക്രോധത്തിലും മഹാരോഷത്തിലും ഞാന് അവരെ നീക്കക്കളഞ്ഞ സകലദേശങ്ങളില്നിന്നും ഞാന് അവരെ ശേഖരിക്കും; ഞാന് അവരെ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു മടക്കിവരുത്തി അതില് നിര്ഭയമായി വസിക്കുമാറാക്കും;

37. Though the sky should be raised to a [greater] height, says the Lord, and though the ground of the earth should be sunk [lower] beneath, yet I will not cast off the family of Israel, says the Lord, for all that they have done.

38. അവര് എനിക്കു ജനമായും ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും ദൈവമായും ഇരിക്കും.

38. Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when the city shall be built to the Lord from the tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate.

39. അവര്ക്കും അവരുടെ ശേഷം അവരുടെ മക്കള്ക്കും ഗണംവരത്തക്കവണ്ണം അവര് എന്നെ എന്നേക്കും ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും ഏകമനസ്സും ഏകമാര്ഗ്ഗവും കൊടുക്കും.

39. And the measurement of it shall proceed in front of them as far as the hills of Gareb, and it shall be compassed with a circular wall of choice stones.

40. ഞാന് അവരെ വിട്ടുപിരിയാതെ അവര്ക്കും നന്മ ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കും എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഞാന് അവരോടു ഒരു ശാശ്വതനിയമം ചെയ്യും; അവര് എന്നെ വിട്ടുമാറാതെയിരിപ്പാന് എങ്കലുള്ള ഭക്തി ഞാന് അവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തില് ആക്കും.

40. And all the Asaremoth, even to the Brook Kidron, as far as the corner of the Horse Gate eastward, shall be holiness to the Lord; and it shall not fail anymore, and shall not be destroyed forever.
