1. ജാതികളെക്കുറിച്ചു യിരെമ്യാപ്രവാചകന്നുണ്ടായ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

1. In the fourth year that Jehoiakim was king of Judah, Baruch wrote down everything I had told him.

2. മിസ്രയീമിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ളതുഫ്രാത്ത് നദീതീരത്തു കര്ക്കെമീശില് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നതും ബാബേല് രാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ് നേസര് യോശീയാവിന്റെ മകനായി യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ യെഹോയാക്കീമിന്റെ നാലാം ആണ്ടില് തോല്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞതുമായ ഫറവോന് നെഖോ എന്ന മിസ്രയീംരാജാവിന്റെ സൈന്യത്തെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ളതു തന്നേ.

2. Then later, the LORD God of Israel told me to say to Baruch:

3. പരിചയും പലകയും ഒരുക്കി യുദ്ധത്തിന്നടുത്തുകൊള്വിന് !

3. You are moaning and blaming me, the LORD, for your troubles and sorrow, and for being so tired that you can't even rest.

4. കുതിരച്ചേവകരേ, കുതിരകള്ക്കു കോപ്പിട്ടു കയറുവിന് ! തലക്കോരികയുമായി അണിനിരപ്പിന് ; കുന്തങ്ങളെ മിനുക്കി കവചങ്ങളെ ധരിപ്പിന് .

4. But all over the earth I am tearing down what I built and pulling up what I planted.

5. അവര് ഭ്രമിച്ചു പിന്മാറിക്കാണുന്നതെന്തു? അവരുടെ വീരന്മാര് വെട്ടേറ്റു തിരിഞ്ഞുനോക്കാതെ മണ്ടുന്നു! സര്വ്വത്രഭീതി എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

5. I am bringing disaster everywhere, so don't even think about making any big plans for yourself. However, I promise that wherever you go, I will at least protect you from death. I, the LORD, have spoken.
