1. ആറാം ആണ്ടു ആറാം മാസം അഞ്ചാം തിയ്യതി, ഞാന് വീട്ടില് ഇരിക്കയും യെഹൂദാമൂപ്പന്മാര് എന്റെ മുമ്പില് ഇരിക്കയും ചെയ്തപ്പോള് അവിടെ യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ കൈ എന്റെമേല് വന്നു.

1. And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth month, on the fifth day of the month, as I sat in mine house and the elders of Judah sat before me, that the hand of the Lord GOD fell there upon me.

2. അപ്പോള് ഞാന് മനുഷ്യസാദൃശത്തില് ഒരു രൂപം കണ്ടു; അവന്റെ അരമുതല് കീഴോട്ടു തീപോലെയും അരമുതല് മേലോട്ടു ശുക്ളസ്വര്ണ്ണത്തിന്റെ പ്രഭപോലെയും ആയിരുന്നു.

2. Then I beheld, and lo, a likeness as the appearance of fire: from the appearance of His loins even downward, fire, and from His loins even upward, as the appearance of brightness, as the color of amber.

3. അവന് കൈപോലെ ഒന്നു നീട്ടി എന്നെ തലമുടിക്കു പിടിച്ചു; ആത്മാവു എന്നെ ഭൂമിയുടെയും ആകാശത്തിന്റെയും മദ്ധ്യേ ഉയര്ത്തി ദിവ്യദര്ശനങ്ങളില് യെരൂശലേമില് വടക്കോട്ടുള്ള അകത്തെ വാതില്ക്കല് കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു; അവിടെ തീഷ്ണത ജനിപ്പിക്കുന്ന തീക്ഷണതാ ബിംബത്തിന്റെ ഇരിപ്പിടം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

3. And He put forth the form of a hand, and took me by a lock of mine head; and the Spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that looketh toward the north, where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy.

4. അവിടെ ഞാന് സമഭൂമിയില് കണ്ട ദര്ശനം പോലെ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മഹത്വം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

4. And behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the vision that I saw in the plain.

5. അവന് എന്നോടുമനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, തലപൊക്കി വടക്കോട്ടു നോക്കുക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു; ഞാന് തലപൊക്കി വടക്കോട്ടു നോക്കി; യാഗപീഠത്തിന്റെ വാതിലിന്നു വടക്കോട്ടു, പ്രവേശനത്തിങ്കല് തന്നേ, ആ തിക്ഷണതാബിംബത്തെ കണ്ടു.

5. Then said He unto me, 'Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north.' So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and beheld northward at the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry.

6. അവന് എന്നോടുമനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, അവര് ചെയ്യുന്നതു, ഞാന് എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരം വിട്ടു പോകേണ്ടതിന്നു യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹം ഇവിടെ ചെയ്യുന്ന മഹാമ്ളേച്ഛതകള് തന്നേ, നീ കാണുന്നുവോ? ഇതിലും വലിയ മ്ളേച്ഛതകളെ നീ കാണും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

6. He said furthermore unto me, 'Son of man, seest thou what they do, even the great abominations that the house of Israel committeth here, that I should depart far off from My sanctuary? But turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations.'

7. അവന് എന്നെ പ്രാകാരത്തിന്റെ വാതില്ക്കല് കൊണ്ടുപോയി; ഞാന് നോക്കിയപ്പോള് ചുവരില് ഒരു ദ്വാരം കണ്ടു.

7. And He brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold, a hole in the wall.

8. അവന് എന്നോടുമനുഷ്യ പുത്രാ, ചുവര് കുത്തിത്തുരക്കുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; ഞാന് ചുവര് കുത്തിത്തുരന്നാറെ ഒരു വാതില് കണ്ടു.

8. Then said He unto me, 'Son of man, dig now in the wall'; and when I had dug in the wall, behold, a door.

9. അവന് എന്നോടുഅകത്തു ചെന്നു, അവര് ഇവിടെ ചെയ്യുന്ന വല്ലാത്ത മ്ളേച്ഛതകളെ നോക്കുക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

9. And He said unto me, 'Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here.'

10. അങ്ങനെ ഞാന് അകത്തു ചെന്നുവെറുപ്പായുള്ള ഔരോ തരം ഇഴജാതികളെയും മൃഗങ്ങളെയും യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ സകലവിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെയും ചുറ്റും ചുവരിന്മേല് വരെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു.

10. So I went in and saw; and behold, every form of creeping things and abominable beasts and all the idols of the house of Israel portrayed upon the wall round about.

11. അവയുടെ മുമ്പില് യിസ്രായേല് ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ മൂപ്പന്മാരില് എഴുപതുപേരും ശാഫാന്റെ മകനായ യയസന്യാവു അവരുടെ നടുവിലും ഔരോരുത്തന് കയ്യില് ധൂപകലശം പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു നിന്നു; ധൂപമേഘത്തിന്റെ വാസന പൊങ്ങിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

11. And there stood before them seventy men of the ancients of the house of Israel, and in the midst of them stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan, with every man his censer in his hand; and a thick cloud of incense went up.

12. അപ്പോള് അവന് എന്നോടുമനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ മൂപ്പന്മാര് ഇരുട്ടത്തു ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ ബിംബങ്ങളുടെ അറകളില് ചെയ്യുന്നതു നീ കാണുന്നുവോ? യഹോവ നമ്മെ കാണുന്നില്ല, യഹോവ ദേശത്തെ വിട്ടുപോയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവര് പറയുന്നു എന്നരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

12. Then said He unto me, 'Son of man, hast thou seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his images? For they say, `The LORD seeth us not. The LORD hath forsaken the earth.''

13. അവര് ഇതിലും വലിയ മ്ളേച്ഛതകളെ ചെയ്യുന്നതു നീ കാണും എന്നും അവന് എന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

13. He said also unto me, 'Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations that they do.'

14. അവന് എന്നെ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തില് വടക്കോട്ടുള്ള വാതിലിന്റെ പ്രവേശനത്തിങ്കല് കൊണ്ടുപോയി, അവിടെ സ്ത്രീകള് തമ്മൂസിനെക്കുറിച്ചു കരഞ്ഞുംകൊണ്ടു ഇരിക്കുന്നതു ഞാന് കണ്ടു.

14. Then He brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD'S house which was toward the north; and behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.

15. അവന് എന്നോടുമനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ കാണുന്നുവോ? ഇതിലും വലിയ മ്ളേച്ഛതകളെ ഇനിയും കാണും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

15. Then said He unto me, 'Hast thou seen this, O son of man? Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these.'

16. അവന് എന്നെ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ അകത്തെ പ്രാകാരത്തില് കൊണ്ടുപോയി, യഹോവയുടെ മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ വാതില്ക്കല് മണ്ഡപത്തിന്നും യാഗപീഠത്തിന്നും നടുവെ ഏകദേശം ഇരുപത്തഞ്ചു പുരുഷന്മാര് തങ്ങളുടെ മുതുകു യഹോവയുടെ മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ നേരെയും മുഖം കിഴക്കോട്ടും തിരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു നിന്നിരുന്നു; അവര് കിഴക്കോട്ടു നോക്കി സൂര്യനെ നമസ്കരിക്കയായിരുന്നു.

16. And He brought me into the inner court of the LORD'S house, and behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men with their backs toward the temple of the LORD and their faces toward the east; and they worshiped the sun toward the east.

17. അപ്പോള് അവന് എന്നോടുമനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ കാണുന്നുവോ? യെഹൂദാഗൃഹം ഇവിടെ ചെയ്യുന്ന മ്ളേച്ഛതകള് പോരാഞ്ഞിട്ടോ, അവര് എന്നെ അധികമധികം കോപിപ്പിപ്പാന് ദേശത്തെ സാഹസംകൊണ്ടു നിറെക്കുന്നതു? കണ്ടില്ലേ അവര് ചുള്ളി മൂക്കിന്നു തൊടുവിക്കുന്നതു?

17. Then He said unto me, 'Hast thou seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? For they have filled the land with violence and have returned to provoke Me to anger; and lo, they put the branch to their nose.

18. ആകയാല് ഞാനും ക്രോധത്തോടെ പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കും; എന്റെ കണ്ണു ആദരിക്കയില്ല; ഞാന് കരുണ കാണിക്കയുമില്ല; അവര് അത്യുച്ചത്തില് എന്നോടു നിലവിളിച്ചാലും ഞാന് അപേക്ഷ കേള്ക്കയില്ല എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

18. Therefore will I also deal in fury. Mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity; and though they cry in Mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.'
