1. യിസ്രായേലേ, നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കു മടങ്ങിച്ചെല്ലുക; നിന്റെ അകൃത്യംനിമിത്തം അല്ലോ നീ വീണിരിക്കുന്നതു.

1. Yisra'el, return to the LORD your God; For you have fallen because of your sin.

2. നിങ്ങള് അനുതാപവാക്യങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ യഹോവയുടെ അടുക്കല് മടങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു അവനോടുസകല അകൃത്യത്തെയും ക്ഷമിച്ചു, ഞങ്ങളെ കൃപയോടെ കൈക്കൊള്ളേണമേ; എന്നാല് ഞങ്ങള് ഞങ്ങളുടെ അധരാര്പ്പണമായ കാളകളെ അര്പ്പിക്കും;

2. Take words with you, and return to the LORD. Tell him, 'Forgive all our sins, And accept that which is good: So we offer like bulls our lips.

7. Men will dwell in his shade. They will revive like the grain, And blossom like the vine. Their fragrance will be like the wine of Levanon.

8. എഫ്രയീമേ, ഇനി എനിക്കും വിഗ്രഹങ്ങള്ക്കും തമ്മില് എന്തു? ഞാന് അവന്നു ഉത്തരം അരുളി അവനെ കടാക്ഷിക്കും; ഞാന് തഴെച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന സരള വൃക്ഷംപോലെ ആകുന്നു. എങ്കല് നിനക്കു ഫലം കണ്ടുകിട്ടും.

9. ഇതു ഗ്രഹിപ്പാന് തക്ക ജ്ഞാനി ആര്? ഇതു അറിവാന് തക്ക വിവേകി ആര്? യഹോവയുടെ വഴികള് ചൊവ്വുള്ളവയല്ലോ; നീതിമാന്മാര് അവയില് നടക്കും; അതിക്രമക്കാരോ അവയില് ഇടറിവീഴും.

9. Who is wise, that he may understand these things? Who is prudent, that he may know them? For the ways of the LORD are right, And the righteous walk in them; But the rebellious stumble in them.
