1. യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുമോവാബിന്റെ മൂന്നോ നാലോ അതിക്രമം നിമിത്തം അവന് എദോംരാജാവിന്റെ അസ്ഥികളെ ചുട്ടു കുമ്മായമാക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞിരിക്കയാല് തന്നെ, ഞാന് ശിക്ഷ മടക്കിക്കളകയില്ല.

1. The Lord God seith these thingis, On thre grete trespassis of Moab, and on foure, Y schal not conuerte it, for it brente the boonys of the kyng of Idumee til to aische.

2. ഞാന് മോവാബില് ഒരു തീ അയക്കും; അതു കെരീയോത്തിന്റെ അരമനകളെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും; മോവാബ് കലഹത്തോടും ആര്പ്പോടും കാഹളനാദത്തോടും കൂടെ മരിക്കും.

3. ഞാന് ന്യായാധിപതിയെ അതിന്റെ നടുവില്നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചു, അതിന്റെ സകലപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെയും അവനോടുകൂടെ കൊല്ലും എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

4. യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുയെഹൂദയുടെ മൂന്നോ നാലോ അതിക്രമംനിമിത്തം, അവര് യഹോവയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തെ നിരസിക്കയും അവന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളെ പ്രമാണിക്കാതെയിരിക്കയും അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര് പിന്തുടര്ന്നുപോന്ന അവരുടെ വ്യാജമൂര്ത്തികള് അവരെ തെറ്റിനടക്കുമാറാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കയാല് തന്നേ, ഞാന് ശിക്ഷ മടക്കിക്കളകയില്ല.

4. The Lord seith these thingis, On thre grete trespassis of Juda, and on foure, Y schal not conuerte hym, for he hath caste awei the lawe of the Lord, and kepte not the comaundementis of hym; for her idols, after whiche the fadris of hem yeden, disseyueden hem.

5. ഞാന് യെഹൂദയില് ഒരു തീ അയക്കും; അതു യെരൂശലേമിലെ അരമനകളെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും.

5. And Y schal sende fier in to Juda, and it schal deuoure the housis of Jerusalem.

6. യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുയിസ്രായേലിന്റെ മൂന്നോ നാലോ അതിക്രമം നിമിത്തം, അവര് നീതിമാനെ പണത്തിന്നും ദരിദ്രനെ ഒരുകൂട്ടു ചെരിപ്പിന്നും വിറ്റുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കയാല് തന്നേ, ഞാന് ശിക്ഷ മടക്കിക്കളകയില്ല.

7. അവര് എളിയവരുടെ തലയില് മണ്പൊടി കാണ്മാന് കാംക്ഷിക്കയും സാധുക്കളുടെ വഴി മറിച്ചുകളകയും ചെയ്യുന്നുഎന്റെ വിശുദ്ധനാമത്തെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കുവാന് തക്കവണ്ണം ഒരു പുരുഷനും അവന്റെ അപ്പനും ഒരേ യുവതിയുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെല്ലുന്നു.

11. And Y reiside of youre sones in to profetis, and Nayareis of youre yonge men. Whether it is not so, ye sones of Israel? seith the Lord.

14. അങ്ങനെ വേഗവാന്മാര്ക്കും ശരണം നശിക്കും; ബലവാന്റെ ശക്തി നിലനില്ക്കയില്ല; വീരന് തന്റെ ജീവനെ രക്ഷിക്കയില്ല;

14. And fliyt schal perische fro a swift man, and a strong man schal not holde his vertu, and a stalworthe man schal not saue his lijf;

15. വില്ലാളി ഉറെച്ചുനില്ക്കയില്ല; ശീഘ്രഗാമി തന്നെത്താന് വിടുവിക്കയില്ല; കുതിര കയറി ഔടുന്നവന് തന്റെ ജീവനെ രക്ഷിക്കയുമില്ല.

15. and he that holdith a bowe schal not stonde, and a swift man schal not be sauyd by hise feet; and the stiere of an hors schal not saue his lijf,

16. വീരന്മാരില് ധൈര്യമേറിയവന് അന്നാളില് നഗ്നനായി ഔടിപ്പോകും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

16. and a stronge man of herte schal fle nakid among stronge men in that dai, seith the Lord.
