1. മടുത്തുപോകാതെ എപ്പോഴും പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കേണം എന്നുള്ളതിന്നു അവന് അവരോടു ഒരുപമ പറഞ്ഞതു

1. And he also spoke a parable to them about it being necessary to always pray, and not to give up,

2. ദൈവത്തെ ഭയവും മനുഷ്യനെ ശങ്കയുമില്ലാത്ത ഒരു ന്യായാധിപന് ഒരു പട്ടണത്തില് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

2. saying, In a certain city there was a judge who did not fear God, and did not regard man.

3. ആ പട്ടണത്തില് ഒരു വിധവയും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അവള് അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നുഎന്റെ പ്രതിയോഗിയോടു പ്രതിക്രിയ നടത്തി രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

3. And a widow was in that city, and she came to him, saying, Avenge me of my opponent.

4. അവന്നു കുറേ കാലത്തേക്കു മനസ്സില്ലായിരുന്നു; പിന്നെ അവന് എനിക്കു ദൈവത്തെ ഭയവും മനുഷ്യനെ ശങ്കയുമില്ല

4. And for a time he would not, but after these things he said within himself, Although I fear not God, and regard not man,

5. എങ്കിലും വിധവ എന്നെ അസഹ്യമാക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് അവളെ പ്രതിക്രിയ നടത്തി രക്ഷിക്കും; അല്ലെങ്കില് അവള് ഒടുവില് വന്നു എന്നെ മുഖത്തടിക്കും എന്നു ഉള്ളുകൊണ്ടു പറഞ്ഞു.

5. yet because this widow causes me a beating, I will avenge her, lest by no end of coming she give me a black eye.

6. അനീതിയുള്ള ന്യായാധിപന് പറയുന്നതു കേള്പ്പിന് .

6. And the Lord said, Hear ye what the unrighteous judge says.

7. ദൈവമോ രാപ്പകല് തന്നോടു നിലവിളിക്കുന്ന തന്റെ വൃതന്മാരുടെ കാര്യത്തില് ദീര്ഘ ക്ഷമയുള്ളവന് ആയാലും അവരെ പ്രതിക്രിയ നടത്തി രക്ഷിക്കയില്ലയോ?

7. And God, will he, no, not do the vengeance of his chosen who cry out to him day and night, and yet being patient toward them?

8. വേഗത്തില് അവരെ പ്രതിക്രിയ നടത്തി രക്ഷിക്കും എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു. എന്നാല് മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് വരുമ്പോള് അവന് ഭൂമിയില് വിശ്വാസം കണ്ടെത്തുമോ എന്നു കര്ത്താവു പറഞ്ഞു.

8. I say to you, that he will do their vengeance speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of man comes, will he then find faith on the earth?

9. തങ്ങള് നീതിമാന്മാര് എന്നു ഉറെച്ചു മറ്റുള്ളവരെ ധിക്കരിക്കുന്ന ചിലരെക്കുറിച്ചു അവന് ഒരു ഉപമ പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്

9. And he also spoke this parable to some of those who were persuaded in themselves that they were righteous, and disdained other men.

10. രണ്ടു മനുഷ്യര് പ്രാര്ത്ഥിപ്പാന് ദൈവാലയത്തില് പോയി; ഒരുത്തന് പരീശന് , മറ്റവന് ചുങ്കക്കാരന് .

10. Two men went up into the temple to pray, the one a Pharisee, and the other a tax collector.

11. പരീശന് നിന്നുകൊണ്ടു തന്നോടു തന്നെദൈവമേ, പിടിച്ചു പറിക്കാര്, നീതി കെട്ടവര്, വ്യഭിചാരികള് മുതലായ ശേഷം മനുഷ്യരെപ്പോലെയോ ഈ ചുങ്കക്കാരനെപ്പോലെയോ ഞാന് അല്ലായ്കയാല് നിന്നെ വാഴ്ത്തുന്നു.

11. Having stood by himself, the Pharisee prayed these things: God, I thank thee that I am not as the rest of men, predatory, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector.

12. ആഴ്ചയില് രണ്ടുവട്ടം ഉപവസിക്കുന്നു; നേടുന്നതില് ഒക്കെയും പതാരം കൊടുത്തുവരുന്നു; എന്നിങ്ങനെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചു.

12. I fast twice per Sabbath. I tithe all things, as many as I acquire.

13. ചുങ്കക്കാരനോ ദൂരത്തു നിന്നുകൊണ്ടു സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തേക്കു നോക്കുവാമ്പോലും തുനിയാതെ മാറത്തടിച്ചുദൈവമേ, പാപിയായ എന്നോടു കരുണയുണ്ടാകേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

13. But the tax collector, having stood from afar, would not even lift his eyes to the sky, but beat upon his breast, saying, God, be thou merciful to me a sinful man.

14. അവന് നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടവനായി വീട്ടിലേക്കു പോയി; മറ്റവന് അങ്ങനെയല്ല. തന്നെത്താന് ഉയര്ത്തുന്നവന് എല്ലാം താഴ്ത്തപ്പെടും; തന്നെത്താന് താഴ്ത്തുന്നവന് എല്ലാം ഉയര്ത്തപ്പെടും എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

14. I say to you, this man went down to his house justified rather than that man. Because every man who lifts himself up will be made lower, and he who makes himself lower will be lifted up.

15. അവന് തൊടേണ്ടതിന്നു ചിലര് ശിശുക്കളെയും അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അതുകണ്ടു അവരെ ശാസിച്ചു.

15. And they were also bringing the infants to him, so that he would touch them, but when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them.

16. യേശുവോ അവരെ അരികത്തു വിളിച്ചുപൈതങ്ങളെ എന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരുവാന് വിടുവിന് ; അവരെ തടുക്കരുതു; ദൈവരാജ്യം ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ളവരുടേതു ആകുന്നു.

16. But having summoned them, Jesus said, Allow the children to come to me, and do not forbid them, for of such is the kingdom of God.

17. ദൈവരാജ്യത്തെ ശിശുഎന്നപോലെ കൈക്കൊള്ളാത്തവന് ആരും ഒരുനാളും അതില് കടക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

17. Truly I say to you, whoever will not receive the kingdom of God as a child, will, no, not enter into it.

18. ഒരു പ്രമാണി അവനോടുനല്ല ഗുരോ, ഞാന് നിത്യജീവനെ അവകാശമാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്തു ചെയ്യേണം എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

18. And a certain ruler questioned him, saying, Good teacher, having done what, will I inherit eternal life?

19. അതിന്നു യേശുഎന്നെ നല്ലവന് എന്നു പറയുന്നതു എന്തു? ദൈവം ഒരുവനല്ലാതെ നല്ലവന് ആരും ഇല്ല. വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യരുതു

19. And Jesus said to him, Why do thou call me good? None is good except one, God.

20. കുല ചെയ്യരുതു; മോഷ്ടിക്കരുതു; കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷ്യം പറയരുതു; നിന്റെ അപ്പനെയും അമ്മയെയും ബഹുമാനിക്ക എന്നീ കല്പനകളെ നീ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
പുറപ്പാടു് 20:12-16, ആവർത്തനം 5:16-20

20. Thou know the commandments. Thou shall not commit adultery. Thou shall not murder. Thou shall not steal. Thou shall not give false testimony. Honor thy father and thy mother.

21. ഇവ ഒക്കെയും ഞാന് ചെറുപ്പം മുതല് കാത്തു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞതു കേട്ടിട്ടു

21. And he said, All these things I have kept from my youth.

22. യേശുഇനി ഒരു കുറവു നിനക്കുണ്ടു; നിനക്കുള്ളതൊക്കെയും വിറ്റു ദരിദ്രന്മാര്ക്കും പകുത്തുകൊടുക്ക; എന്നാല് സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് നിനക്കു നിക്ഷേപം ഉണ്ടാകും; പിന്നെ വന്നു എന്നെ അനുഗമിക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

22. And when he heard these things, Jesus said to him, Yet one thing is lacking from thee. Sell all things, as many as thou have, and distribute to the poor, and thou will have treasure in heaven. And come, follow me.

23. അവന് എത്രയും ധനവാനാകകൊണ്ടു ഇതു കേട്ടിട്ടു അതിദുഃഖതിനായിത്തീര്ന്നു.

23. But when he heard these things, he became very sorrowful, for he was very rich.

24. യേശു അവനെ കണ്ടിട്ടുസമ്പത്തുള്ളവര് ദൈവരാജ്യത്തില് കടക്കുന്നതു എത്ര പ്രയാസം!

24. And having seen him become very sorrowful, Jesus said, How difficultly those who have riches will enter into the kingdom of God.

25. ധനവാന് ദൈവരാജ്യത്തില് കടക്കുന്നതിനെക്കാള് ഒട്ടകം സൂചിക്കുഴയൂടെ കടക്കുന്നതു എളുപ്പം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

25. For it is easier for a camel to enter in through the hole of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

26. ഇതു കേട്ടവര്എന്നാല് രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുവാന് ആര്ക്കും കഴിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

26. And those who heard it said, And who can be saved?

27. അതിന്നു അവന് മനുഷ്യരാല് അസാദ്ധ്യമായതു ദൈവത്താല് സാദ്ധ്യമാകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

27. And he said, The things impossible with men are possible with God.

28. ഇതാ ഞങ്ങള് സ്വന്തമായതു വിട്ടു നിന്നെ അനുഗമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പത്രൊസ് പറഞ്ഞു.

28. And Peter said, Lo, we have left all and followed thee.

29. യേശു അവരോടുദൈവരാജ്യം നിമിത്തം വീടോ ഭാര്യയെയോ സഹോദരന്മാരെയോ അമ്മയപ്പന്മാരെയോ മക്കളെയോ വിട്ടുകളഞ്ഞിട്ടു

29. And he said to them, Truly I say to you, that there is no man who has left house, or parents, or brothers, or wife, or children for the sake of the kingdom of God,

30. ഈ കാലത്തില് തന്നേ പല മടങ്ങായും വരുവാനുള്ള ലോകത്തില് നിത്യജീവനെയും പ്രാപിക്കാത്തവന് ആരും ഇല്ല എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളാടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

30. who will, no, not receive back manifold more in this time, and in the coming age eternal life.

31. അനന്തരം അവന് പന്തിരുവരെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു അവരോടുഇതാ നാം യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു പോകുന്നു; മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെക്കുറിച്ചു പ്രവാചകന്മാര് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതു എല്ലാം നിവൃത്തിയാകും.

31. And having taken along the twelve, he said to them, Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all the things that are written through the prophets about the Son of man will be completed.

32. അവനെ ജാതികള്ക്കു ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുക്കയും അവര് അവനെ പരിഹസിച്ചു അവമാനിച്ചു തുപ്പി തല്ലീട്ടു കൊല്ലുകയും

32. For he will be delivered up to the Gentiles, and he will be mocked and insulted and spit upon.

33. മൂന്നാം നാള് അവന് ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്ക്കയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

33. And after scourging, they will kill him, and the third day he will rise up.

34. അവരോ ഇതു ഒന്നും ഗ്രഹിച്ചില്ല; ഈ വാക്കു അവര്ക്കും മറവായിരുന്നു; പറഞ്ഞതു അവര് തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞതുമില്ല.

34. And they understood none of these things, and this saying was hidden from them, and they did not understand the things that were said.

35. അവന് യെരീഹോവിന്നു അടുത്തപ്പോള് ഒരു കുരുടന് ഇരന്നുകൊണ്ടു വഴിയരികെ ഇരുന്നിരുന്നു.

35. And it came to pass as he approached Jericho, a certain blind man sat beside the road begging.

36. പുരുഷാരം കടന്നു പോകുന്നതു കേട്ടുഇതെന്തു എന്നു അവന് ചോദിച്ചു.

36. And having heard a multitude going by, he inquired what this may be.

37. നസറായനായ യേശു കടന്നുപോകുന്നു എന്നു അവര് അവനോടു അറിയിച്ചു.

37. And they informed him that Jesus the Nazarene passes by.

38. അപ്പോള് അവന് യേശുവേ, ദാവീദുപുത്രാ, എന്നോടു കരുണ തോന്നേണമേ എന്നു നിലവിളിച്ചു.

38. And he cried out, saying, Jesus, thou son of David, be merciful to me.

39. മുന് നടക്കുന്നവര് അവനെ മിണ്ടാതിരിപ്പാന് ശാസിച്ചു; അവനോദിവീദുപുത്രാ എന്നോടു കരുണ തോന്നേണമേ എന്നു ഏറ്റവും അധികം നിലവിളിച്ചു.

39. And those who went ahead rebuked him, so that he would be quiet, but he cried out much more, Thou son of David, be merciful to me.

40. യേശു നിന്നു, അവനെ തന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവരുവാന് കല്പിച്ചു.

40. And having stood still, Jesus commanded him to be brought to him. And when he came near, he questioned him,

41. ഞാന് നിനക്കു എന്തു ചെയ്യേണം എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. കര്ത്താവേ, എനിക്കു കാഴ്ച കിട്ടേണം എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.

41. saying, What do thou want that I would do to thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive sight.

42. യേശു അവനോടുകാഴ്ച പ്രാപിക്ക; നിന്റെ വിശ്വാസം നിന്നെ രക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

42. And Jesus said to him, Receive sight. Thy faith has healed thee.

43. ക്ഷണത്തില് അവന് കാഴ്ച പ്രാപിച്ചു ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്വീകരിച്ചും കൊണ്ടു അവനെ അനുഗമിച്ചു; ജനം എല്ലാം കണ്ടിട്ടു ദൈവത്തിന്നു പുകഴ്ച കൊടുത്തു.

43. And immediately he received sight, and followed him glorifying God. And all the people when they saw it gave praise to God.
