1. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, അവര് രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടേണം എന്നു തന്നേ എന്റെ ഹൃദയവാഞ്ഛയും അവര്ക്കുംവേണ്ടി ദൈവത്തൊടുള്ള യാചനയും ആകുന്നു.

1. Brethren, mine hearts desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saued.

2. അവര് പരിജ്ഞാനപ്രകാരമല്ലെങ്കിലും ദൈവത്തെ സംബന്ധിച്ചു എരിവുള്ളവര് എന്നു ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും സാക്ഷ്യം പറയുന്നു.

2. For I beare them record, that they haue the zeale of God, but not according to knowledge.

3. അവര് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നീതി അറിയാതെ സ്വന്ത നീതി സ്ഥാപിപ്പാന് അന്വേഷിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നീതിക്കു കീഴ്പെട്ടില്ല.

3. For they, being ignorant of the righteousnes of God, and going about to stablish their owne righteousnes, haue not submitted themselues to the righteousnes of God.

4. വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ഏവന്നും നീതി ലഭിപ്പാന് ക്രിസ്തു ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്റെ അവസാനം ആകുന്നു.

4. For Christ is the end of the Law for righteousnes vnto euery one that beleeueth.

5. ന്യായപ്രമാണത്താലുള്ള നീതി സംബന്ധിച്ചു“അതു ചെയ്ത മനുഷ്യന് അതിനാല് ജീവിക്കും” എന്നു മോശെ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

5. For Moses thus describeth the righteousnes which is of the Lawe, That the man which doeth these things, shall liue thereby.

6. വിശ്വാസത്താലുള്ള നീതിയോ ഇവ്വണ്ണം പറയുന്നു“ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ ഇറക്കേണം എന്നു വിചാരിച്ചു ആര് സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് കയറും എന്നോ,

6. But the righteousnes which is of faith, speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heauen? (that is to bring Christ from aboue)

7. ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ മരിച്ചവരുടെ ഇടയില് നിന്നു കയറ്റേണം എന്നു വിചാരിച്ചു ആര് പാതാളത്തില് ഇറങ്ങും എന്നോ നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില് പറയരുതു.”

7. Or, Who shall descend into the deepe? (that is to bring Christ againe from the dead)

8. എന്നാല് അതു എന്തു പറയുന്നു? “വചനം നിനക്കു സമീപമായി നിന്റെ വായിലും നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലും ഇരിക്കുന്നു;” അതു ഞങ്ങള് പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്ന വിശ്വാസ വചനം തന്നേ.

8. But what sayth it? The worde is neere thee, euen in thy mouth, and in thine heart. This is the worde of faith which we preach.

9. യേശുവിനെ കര്ത്താവു എന്നു വായികൊണ്ടു ഏറ്റുപറകയും ദൈവം അവനെ മരിച്ചവരില് നിന്നു ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചു എന്നു ഹൃദയംകൊണ്ടു വിശ്വസിക്കയും ചെയ്താല് നീ രക്ഷപ്പെടും.

9. For if thou shalt confesse with thy mouth the Lord Iesus, and shalt beleeue in thine heart, that God raised him vp from the dead, thou shalt be saued:

10. ഹൃദയം കൊണ്ടു നീതിക്കായി വിശ്വസിക്കയും വായികൊണ്ടു രക്ഷെക്കായി ഏറ്റുപറകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

10. For with the heart man beleeueth vnto righteousnes, and with the mouth man confesseth to saluation.

11. “അവനില് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന് ഒരുത്തനും ലജ്ജിച്ചു പോകയില്ല” എന്നു തിരുവെഴുത്തില് അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുവല്ലോ.

11. For the Scripture saith, Whosoeuer beleeueth in him, shall not be ashamed.

12. യെഹൂദന് എന്നും യവനന് എന്നും വ്യത്യാസമില്ല; എല്ലാവര്ക്കും കര്ത്താവു ഒരുവന് തന്നേ; അവന് തന്നെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാവര്ക്കും നല്കുവാന്തക്കവണ്ണം സമ്പന്നന് ആകുന്നു.

12. For there is no difference betweene the Iewe and the Grecian: for he that is Lord ouer all, is rich vnto all, that call on him.

13. “കര്ത്താവിന്റെ നാമത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കുന്ന ഏവനും രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടും” എന്നുണ്ടല്ലോ.

13. For whosoeuer shall call vpon the Name of the Lord, shalbe saued.

14. എന്നാല് അവര് വിശ്വസിക്കാത്തവനെ എങ്ങനെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കും? അവര് കേട്ടിട്ടില്ലാത്തവനില് എങ്ങനെ വിശ്വസിക്കും? പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്നവന് ഇല്ലാതെ എങ്ങനെ കേള്ക്കും? ആരും അയക്കാതെ എങ്ങനെ പ്രസംഗിക്കും? “നന്മ സുവിശേഷിക്കുന്നവരുടെ കാല് എത്ര മനോഹരം” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

14. But how shall they call on him, in whome they haue not beleeued? and how shall they beleeue in him, of whom they haue not heard? and howe shall they heare without a preacher?

15. എങ്കിലും എല്ലാവരും സുവിശേഷം അനുസരിച്ചിട്ടില്ല“കര്ത്താവേ, ഞങ്ങള് കേള്പ്പിച്ചതു ആര് വിശ്വസിച്ചു” എന്നു യെശയ്യാവു പറയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

15. And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, Howe beautifull are the feete of them which bring glad tidings of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

16. ആകയാല് വിശ്വാസം കേള്വിയാലും കേള്വി ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ വചനത്താലും വരുന്നു.

16. But they haue not all obeyed ye Gospel: for Esaias saith, Lord, who hath beleeued our report?

17. എന്നാല് അവര് കേട്ടില്ലയോ എന്നു ഞാന് ചോദിക്കുന്നു. കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു നിശ്ചയം“അവരുടെ നാദം സര്വ്വ ഭൂമിയിലും അവരുടെ വചനം ഭൂതലത്തിന്റെ അറ്റത്തോളവും പരന്നു.”

17. Then faith is by hearing, and hearing by the worde of God.

18. എന്നാല് യിസ്രായേല് ഗ്രഹിച്ചില്ലയോ എന്നു ഞാന് ചോദിക്കുന്നു. “ജനമല്ലാത്തവരെക്കൊണ്ടു ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു എരിവു വരുത്തും; മൂഡജാതിയെക്കൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കോപം ജനിപ്പിക്കും” എന്നു ഒന്നാമതു മോശെ പറയുന്നു.

18. But I demaund, Haue they not heard? No doubt their sound went out through all the earth, and their wordes into the endes of the worlde.

19. യെശയ്യാവോ“എന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കാത്തവര് എന്നെ കണ്ടെത്തി; എന്നെ ചോദിക്കാത്തവര്ക്കും ഞാന് പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി” എന്നു ധൈര്യത്തോടെ പറയുന്നു.

19. But I demaund, Did not Israel knowe God? First Moses sayth, I will prouoke you to enuie by a nation that is not my nation, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.

20. യിസ്രായേലിനെക്കുറിച്ചോ“അനുസരിക്കാത്തതും മറുത്തുപറയുന്നതുമായ ജനത്തിങ്കലേക്കു ഞാന് ഇടവിടാതെ കൈനീട്ടി” എന്നു അവന് പറയുന്നു.

20. And Esaias is bolde, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not, and haue bene made manifest to them that asked not after me.
