1. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു നീ ശ്രദ്ധയോടെ കേട്ടു, ഞാന് ഇന്നു നിന്നോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്ന അവന്റെ സകല കല്പനകളും പ്രമാണിച്ചുനടന്നാല് നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നെ ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള സര്വ്വജാതികള്ക്കും മീതെ ഉന്നതമാക്കും.

1. 'If you listen closely to what ADONAI your God says, observing and obeying all his [mitzvot] which I am giving you today, ADONAI your God will raise you high above all the nations on earth;

2. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു കേട്ടനുസരിച്ചാല് ഈ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളെല്ലാം നിനക്കു സിദ്ധിക്കുംപട്ടണത്തില് നീ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടും;

2. and all the following blessings will be yours in abundance- if you will do what ADONAI your God says:

3. വയലില് നീ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടും.

3. 'A blessing on you in the city, and a blessing on you in the countryside.

4. നിന്റെ ഗര്ഭഫലവും കൃഷിഫലവും മൃഗങ്ങളുടെ ഫലവും നിന്റെ കന്നുകാലികളുടെ പേറും ആടുകളുടെ പിറപ്പും അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടും.

4. 'A blessing on the fruit of your body, the fruit of your land and the fruit of your livestock- the young of your cattle and flocks.

5. നിന്റെ കൊട്ടയും മാവു കുഴെക്കുന്ന തൊട്ടിയും അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടും.

5. 'A blessing on your grain-basket and kneading-bowl.

6. അകത്തു വരുമ്പോള് നീ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടും. പുറത്തു പോകുമ്പോള് നീ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടും.

6. 'A blessing on you when you go out, and a blessing on you when you come in.

7. നിന്നോടു എതിര്ക്കുംന്ന ശത്രുക്കളെ യഹോവ നിന്റെ മുമ്പില് തോലക്കുമാറാക്കും; അവര് ഒരു വഴിയായി നിന്റെ നേരെ വരും; ഏഴു വഴിയായി നിന്റെ മുമ്പില് നിന്നു ഔടിപ്പോകും.

7. 'ADONAI will cause your enemies attacking you to be defeated before you; they will advance on you one way and flee before you seven ways.

8. യഹോവ നിന്റെ കളപ്പുരകളിലും നീ തൊടുന്ന എല്ലാറ്റിലും നിനക്കു അനുഗ്രഹം കല്പിക്കും; നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു തരുന്ന ദേശത്തു അവന് നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കും.

8. 'ADONAI will order a blessing to be with you in your barns and in everything you undertake; he will bless you in the land ADONAI your God is giving you.

9. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനകള് പ്രമാണിച്ചു അവന്റെ വഴികളില് നടന്നാല് യഹോവ നിന്നോടു സത്യംചെയ്തതുപോലെ നിന്നെ തനിക്കു വിശുദ്ധജനമാക്കും.

9. 'ADONAI will establish you as a people separated out for himself, as he has sworn to you- if you will observe the [mitzvot] of ADONAI your God and follow his ways.

10. യഹോവയുടെ നാമം നിന്റെ മേല് വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള സകലജാതികളും കണ്ടു നിന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടും.

10. Then all the peoples on earth will see that ADONAI's name, his presence, is with you; so that they will be afraid of you.

11. നിനക്കു തരുമെന്നു യഹോവ നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു സത്യം ചെയ്ത ദേശത്തു യഹോവ നിന്റെ നന്മെക്കായി ഗര്ഭഫലത്തിലും കന്നുകാലികളുടെ ഫലത്തിലും നിന്റെ നിലത്തിലെ ഫലത്തിലും നിനക്കു സമൃദ്ധി നലകും.

11. 'ADONAI will give you great abundance of good things- of the fruit of your body, the fruit of your livestock and the fruit of your land in the land ADONAI swore to your ancestors to give you.

12. തക്കസമയത്തു നിന്റെ ദേശത്തിന്നു മഴ തരുവാനും നിന്റെ വേല ഒക്കെയും അനുഗ്രഹിപ്പാനും യഹോവ നിനക്കു തന്റെ നല്ല ഭണ്ഡാരമായ ആകാശം തുറക്കും; നീ അനേകം ജാതികള്ക്കു വായിപ്പ കൊടുക്കും; എന്നാല് നീ വായിപ്പ വാങ്ങുകയില്ല.

12. ADONAI will open for you his good treasure, the sky, to give your land its rain at the right seasons and to bless everything you undertake. You will lend to many nations and not borrow;

13. ഞാന് എന്നു നിന്നോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനകള് കേട്ടു പ്രമാണിച്ചുനടന്നാല് യഹോവ നിന്നെ വാലല്ല, തല ആക്കും; നീ ഉയര്ച്ച തന്നേ പ്രാപിക്കും; താഴ്ച പ്രാപിക്കയില്ല.

13. ADONAI will make you the head and not the tail; and you will be only above, never below- if you will listen to, observe and obey the [mitzvot] of ADONAI your God

14. ഞാന് ഇന്നു നിന്നോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്ന വചനങ്ങളില് യാതൊന്നെങ്കിലും വിട്ടു അന്യദൈവങ്ങളെ പിന് തുടര്ന്നു സേവിപ്പാന് നീ ഇടത്തോട്ടോ വലത്തോട്ടോ മാറരുതു.

14. and not turn away from any of the words I am ordering you today, neither to the right nor to the left, to follow after other gods and serve them.

15. എന്നാല് നീ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു കേട്ടു, ഞാന് ഇന്നു നിന്നോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്ന അവന്റെ കല്പനകളും ചട്ടങ്ങളും പ്രമാണിച്ചുനടക്കാഞ്ഞാല് ഈ ശാപം ഒക്കെയും നിനക്കു വന്നു ഭവിക്കും

15. 'But if you refuse to pay attention to what ADONAI your God says, and do not observe and obey all his [mitzvot] and regulations which I am giving you today, then all the following curses will be yours in abundance:

16. പട്ടണത്തില് നീ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും. വയലിലും ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും.

16. 'A curse on you in the city, and a curse on you in the countryside.

17. നിന്റെ കൊട്ടയും മാവുകുഴെക്കുന്ന തൊട്ടിയും ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും.

17. 'A curse on your grain-basket and kneading-bowl.

18. നിന്റെ ഗര്ഭഫലവും കൃഷിഫലവും കന്നുകാലികളുടെ പേറും ആടുകളുടെ പിറപ്പും ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും;

18. 'A curse on the fruit of your body, the fruit of your land and the young of your cattle and flocks.

19. അകത്തു വരുമ്പോള് നീ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും; പുറത്തുപോകുമ്പോള് നീ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും.

19. 'A curse on you when you come in, and a curse on you when you go out.

20. എന്നെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു ചെയ്ത ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തികള് നിമിത്തം നീ വേഗത്തില് മുടിഞ്ഞുപേകുംവരെ നിന്റെ കൈ തൊടുന്ന എല്ലാറ്റിലും യഹോവ ശാപവും പരിഭ്രമവും പ്രാക്കും അയക്കും.

20. 'ADONAI will send on you curses, disasters and frustration in everything you set out to do, until you are destroyed and quickly perish, because of your evil actions in abandoning me.

21. നീ കൈവശമാക്കുവാന് ചെല്ലുന്ന ദേശത്തു നിന്നു നിന്നെ മുടിച്ചുകളയുംവരെ യഹോവ നിനക്കു മഹാമാരി പിടിപ്പിക്കും.

21. 'ADONAI will bring on you a plague that will stay with you until he has exterminated you from the land you are entering in order to take possession of it.

22. ക്ഷയരോഗം, ജ്വരം, പുകച്ചല്, അത്യുഷ്ണം, വരള്ച്ച, വെണ്കതിര്, വിഷമഞ്ഞു എന്നിവയാല് യഹോവ നിന്നെ ബാധിക്കും; നീ നശിക്കുംവരെ അവ നിന്നെ പിന്തുടരും.

22. ADONAI will strike you down with wasting diseases, fever, inflammation, fiery heat, drought, blasting winds and mildew; and they will pursue you until you perish.

23. നിന്റെ തലെക്കു മീതെയുള്ള ആകാശം ചെമ്പും നിനക്കു കീഴുള്ള ഭൂമി ഇരിമ്പും ആകും.

23. 'The sky over your head will be brass and the earth under you iron.

24. യഹോവ നിന്റെ ദേശത്തിലെ മഴയെ പൊടിയും പൂഴിയും ആക്കും; നീ നശിക്കുംവരെ അതു ആകാശത്തില്നിന്നു നിന്റെമേല് പെയ്യും.

24. ADONAI will turn the rain your land needs into powder and dust that will fall on you from the sky until you are destroyed.

25. ശത്രുക്കളുടെ മുമ്പില് യഹോവ നിന്നെ തോലക്കുമാറാക്കും. നീ ഒരു വഴിയായി അവരുടെ നേരെ ചെല്ലും; ഏഴു വഴിയായി അവരുടെ മുമ്പില് നിന്നു ഔടിപ്പോകും; നീ ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലരാജ്യങ്ങള്ക്കും ഒരു ബാധയായ്തീരും.

25. 'ADONAI your God will cause you to be defeated before your enemies; you will advance on them one way and flee before them seven. You will become an object of horror to every kingdom on earth.

26. നിന്റെ ശവം ആകാശത്തിലെ സകലപക്ഷികള്ക്കും ഭൂമിയിലെ മൃഗങ്ങള്ക്കും ഇര ആകും; അവയെ ആട്ടികളവാന് ആരും ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല. യഹോവ നിന്നെ മിസ്രയീമിലെ

26. Your carcasses will become food for all the birds in the air and the wild animals, and there will be no one to scare them away.

27. പരുക്കള്, മൂലവ്യാധി, ചൊറി, ചിരങ്ങു എന്നിവയാല് ബാധിക്കും; അവ സൌഖ്യമാകുകയുമില്ല.

27. ADONAI will strike you down with the boils that broke out on the Egyptians, tumors, skin lesions and itching, all incurable.

28. ഭ്രാന്തും അന്ധതയും ചിത്തഭ്രമവുംകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ നിന്നെ ബാധിക്കും.

28. ADONAI will strike you with insanity, blindness and utter confusion.

29. കുരുടന് അന്ധതമസ്സില് തപ്പിനടക്കുന്നതുപോലെ നീ ഉച്ചസമയത്തു തപ്പിനടക്കും. നീ പേകുന്നേടത്തെങ്ങും നിനക്കു ഗുണംവരികയില്ല; നീ എപ്പോഴും പീഡിതനും അപഹാരഗതനും ആയിരിക്കും; നിന്നെ രക്ഷിപ്പാന് ആരുമുണ്ടാകയുമില്ല.

29. You will grope about at noon like a blind person groping in the dark, unable to find your way. 'You will be continually oppressed and robbed, and there will be no one to save you.

30. നീ ഒരു സ്ത്രീയെ വിവാഹത്തിന്നു നിയമിക്കും; മറ്റൊരുത്തന് അവളെ പരിഗ്രഹിക്കും. നീ ഒരു വിടു പണിയിക്കും; എങ്കിലും അതില് പാര്ക്കയില്ല. നീ ഒരു മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം നട്ടുണ്ടാക്കും; ഫലം അനുഭവിക്കയില്ല.

30. You will get engaged to a woman, but another man will marry her. You will build a house but not live in it. You will plant a vineyard but not use its fruit.

31. നിന്റെ കാളയെ നിന്റെ മുമ്പില്വെച്ചു അറുക്കും; എന്നാല് നീ അതിന്റെ മാംസം തിന്നുകയില്ല. നിന്റെ കഴുതയെ നിന്റെ മുമ്പില് നിന്നു പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോകും; തിരികെ കിട്ടുകയില്ല. നിന്റെ ആടുകള് ശത്രുക്കള്ക്കു കൈവശമാകും; അവയെ വിടുവിപ്പാന് നിനക്കു ആരും ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല.

31. Your ox will be slaughtered before your eyes, but you won't eat any of its meat. Your donkey will be taken away from you by force as you watch, and you won't get it back. Your sheep will be given to your enemies, and there will be no one to help you.

32. നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരരും പുത്രിമാരും അന്യജാതിക്കു അടിമകളാകും; നിന്റെ കണ്ണു ഇടവിടാതെ അവരെ നോക്കിയിരുന്നു ക്ഷീണിക്കും; എങ്കിലും നിന്നാല് ഒന്നും സാധിക്കയില്ല.

32. Your sons and daughters will be handed over to another people; you will watch for them longingly all day but not see them; and there will be nothing you can do about it.

33. നിന്റെ കൃഷിഫലവും നിന്റെ അദ്ധ്വാനമൊക്കെയും നീ അറിയാത്ത ജാതിക്കാര് അനുഭവിക്കും; നീ എല്ലാനാളും ബാധിതനും പീഡിതനും ആകും.

33. A nation unknown to you will eat the fruit of your land and labor. Yes, you will be continually oppressed and crushed,

34. നിന്റെ കാണ്ണാലെ കാണുന്ന കാഴ്ചയാല് നിനക്കു ഭ്രാന്തു പിടിക്കും.

34. till you go crazy from what your eyes have to see.

35. സൌഖ്യമാകാത്ത പരുക്കളാല് യഹോവ നിന്നെ ഉള്ളങ്കാല് തുടങ്ങി നെറുകവരെ ബാധിക്കും.

35. ADONAI will strike you down in the knees and legs with painful and incurable boils; they will spread from the sole of your foot to the crown of your head.

36. യഹോവ നിന്നെയും നീ നിന്റെ മേല് ആക്കിയ രാജാവിനെയും നീയാകട്ടെ നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരാകട്ടെ അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ലാത്ത ഒരു ജാതിയുടെ അടുക്കല് പോകുമാറാക്കും; അവിടെ നീ മരവും കല്ലുമായ അന്യദൈവങ്ങളെ സേവിക്കും.

36. ADONAI will bring you and your king whom you have put over yourselves to a nation you have not known, neither you nor your ancestors; and there you will serve other gods made of wood and stone.

37. യഹോവ നിന്നെ കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്ന സകലജാതികളുടെയും ഇടയില് നീ സ്തംഭനത്തിന്നും പഴഞ്ചൊല്ലിന്നും പരിഹാസത്തിന്നും വിഷയമായ്തീരും.

37. You will be so devastated as to become a proverb and a laughingstock among all the peoples to which ADONAI will drive you.

38. നീ വളരെ വിത്തു നിലത്തിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോകും; എന്നാല് വെട്ടുക്കിളി തിന്നുകളകകൊണ്ടു കുറെ മാത്രം കൊയ്യും.

38. 'You will carry much seed out to the field but gather little in, because locusts will devour it.

39. നീ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടങ്ങള് നട്ടു രക്ഷ ചെയ്യും; എങ്കിലും പുഴു തിന്നു കളകകൊണ്ടു വീഞ്ഞു കുടിക്കയില്ല; പഴം ശേഖരിക്കയുമില്ല.

39. You will plant vineyards and dress them but neither drink the wine nor gather the grapes, because worms will eat them.

40. ഒലിവുവൃക്ഷങ്ങള് നിന്റെ നാട്ടില് ഒക്കെയും ഉണ്ടാകും; എങ്കിലും നീ എണ്ണ തേക്കയില്ല; അതിന്റെ പിഞ്ചു പൊഴിഞ്ഞുപോകും.

40. You will have olive trees throughout your territory but not anoint yourself with the oil, because your olives will fall off unripe.

41. നീ പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും ജനിപ്പിക്കും; എങ്കിലും അവര് നിനക്കു ഇരിക്കയില്ല; അവര് പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്കു പോകേണ്ടിവരും.

41. You will father sons and daughters, but they won't belong to you, because they will go into captivity.

42. നിന്റെ വൃക്ഷങ്ങളും നിന്റെ ഭൂമിയുടെ ഫലവും എല്ലാം പുഴു തിന്നുകളയും.

42. The bugs will inherit all your trees and the produce of your land.

43. നിന്റെ ഇടയിലുള്ള പരദേശി നിനക്കു മീതെ ഉയര്ന്നുയര്ന്നു വരും; നീയോ താണുതാണുപോകും.

43. 'The foreigner living with you will rise higher and higher while you sink lower and lower.

44. അവര് നിനക്കു വായിപ്പ തരും; അവന്നു വായിപ്പ കൊടുപ്പാന് നിനക്കു ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല; അവന് തലയും നീ വാലുമായിരിക്കും.

44. He will lend to you, but you will not lend to him; he will be the head and you the tail.

45. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു കേട്ടു അവന് നിന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള കല്പനകളും ചട്ടങ്ങളും പ്രമാണിച്ചു നടക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടു ഈ ശാപം ഒക്കെയും നിന്റെ മേല് വരികയും നീ നശിക്കുംവരെ നിന്നെ പിന്തുര്ന്നുപിടിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

45. 'All these curses will come on you, pursuing you and overtaking you until you are destroyed, because you didn't pay attention to what ADONAI your God said, observing his [mitzvot] and regulations that he gave you.

46. അവ ഒരടയാളവും അത്ഭുതവുമായി നിന്നോടും നിന്റെ സന്തതിയോടും എന്നേക്കും പറ്റിയിരിക്കും.

46. These curses will be on you and your descendants as a sign and a wonder forever.

47. സകല വസ്തുക്കളുടെയും സമൃദ്ധി ഹേതുവായിട്ടു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ നീ ഉന്മേഷത്തോടും നല്ല ഹൃദയസന്തോഷത്തോടുംകൂടെ സേവിക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടു

47. Because you didn't serve ADONAI your God with joy and gladness in your heart when you had such an abundance of everything;

48. യഹോവ നിന്റെ നേരെ അയക്കുന്ന ശത്രുക്കളെ നീ വിശപ്പോടും ദാഹത്തോടും നഗ്നതയോടും എല്ലാഞെരുക്കത്തോടുംകൂടെ സേവിക്കും; നിന്നെ നശിപ്പിക്കുംവരെ അവന് നിന്റെ കഴുത്തില് ഒരു ഇരിമ്പുനുകം വേക്കും.

48. ADONAI will send your enemy against you; and you will serve him when you are hungry, thirsty, poorly clothed and lacking everything; he will put a yoke of iron on your neck until he destroys you.

49. യഹോവ ദൂരത്തുനിന്നു, ഭൂമിയുടെ അറുതിയില്നിന്നു, ഒരു ജാതിയെ കഴുകന് പറന്നു വരുന്നതുപോലെ നിന്റെമേല് വരുത്തും. അവര് നീ അറിയാത്ത ഭാഷ പറയുന്ന ജാതി;

49. Yes, ADONAI will bring against you a nation from far away that will swoop down on you from the end of the earth like a vulture, a nation whose language you don't understand,

50. വൃദ്ധനെ ആദരിക്കയോ ബാലനോടു കനിവു തോന്നുകയോ ചെയ്യാത്ത ഉഗ്രമുഖമുള്ള ജാതി.

50. a nation grim in appearance, whose people neither respect the old nor pity the young.

51. നീ നശിക്കുംവരെ അവര് നിന്റെ മൃഗഫലവും നിന്റെ കൃഷിഫലവും തിന്നും; അവര് നിന്നെ നശിപ്പിക്കുംവരെ ധാന്യമോ വിഞ്ഞോ എണ്ണയോ നിന്റെ കന്നുകാലികളുടെ പേറോ ആടുകളുടെ പിറപ്പോ ഒന്നും നിനക്കു ശേഷിപ്പിക്കയില്ല.

51. They will devour the offspring of your livestock and the produce of your soil, until you have been destroyed. They will leave you without grain, wine, olive oil, or your young cattle and sheep- until they have caused you to perish.

52. നിന്റെ ദേശത്തു എല്ലാടവും നീ ആശ്രയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഉയരവും ഉറപ്പുമുള്ള മതിലുകള് വീഴുംവരെ അവര് നിന്റെ എല്ലാ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും നിന്നെ നിരോധിക്കും; നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു തന്ന നിന്റെ ദേശത്തു എല്ലാടുവുമുള്ള നിന്റെ എല്ലാ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും അവര് നിന്നെ നിരോധിക്കും.

52. They will besiege all your towns until your high, fortified walls, in which you trusted, collapse everywhere in your land, which ADONAI your God gave you.

53. ശത്രു നിന്നെ ഞെരുക്കുന്ന ഞെരുക്കത്തിലും നിരോധത്തിലും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു തന്നിരിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ ഗര്ഭഫലമായ പുത്രന്മാരുടെയും പുത്രിമാരുടെയും മാംസം നീ തിന്നും;

53. Then, because of the severity of the siege and distress that your enemies are inflicting on you, you will eat the offspring of your own body, the flesh of your own sons and daughters, whom ADONAI your God has given you.

54. നിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യേ മൃദുശരീരയും മഹാസുഖഭോഗിയും ആയിരിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യന് തന്റെ സഹോദരനോടും തന്റെ മാര്വ്വിടത്തിലെ ഭാര്യയോടും തനിക്കു ശേഷിക്കുന്ന മക്കളോടും

54. Even the most gentle and sensitive man among you will be without pity for his brother, his beloved wife or his surviving children,

55. ലുബ്ധനായി അവരില് ആര്ക്കും താന് തിന്നുന്ന തന്റെ മക്കളുടെ മാംസത്തില് ഒട്ടും കൊടുക്കയില്ല; ശത്രു നിന്റെ എല്ലാപട്ടണങ്ങളിലും നിന്നെ ഞെരുക്കുന്ന ഞെരുക്കത്തിലും നിരോധത്തിലും അവന്നു ഒന്നും ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കയില്ല.

55. to the degree that he will refuse to share with any of them the flesh of his children whom he is eating; because if he did, he would have nothing left for himself- in the severity of the siege and distress your enemies are inflicting on you in all your towns.

56. ദേഹമാര്ദ്ദവംകൊണ്ടും കോമളത്വംകൊണ്ടും തന്റെ ഉള്ളങ്കാല് നിലത്തുവെപ്പാന് മടിക്കുന്ന തന്വംഗിയും സുഖഭോഗിനിയുമായ സ്ത്രീ തന്റെ മാര്വ്വിടത്തിലെ ഭര്ത്താവിന്നും തന്റെ മകന്നും മകള്ക്കും തന്റെ കാലുകളുടെ ഇടയില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുന്ന മറുപ്പിള്ളയെയും താന് പ്രസവിക്കുന്ന കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെയും കൊടുക്കാതവണ്ണം ലുബ്ധയായി

56. The most delicate and sensitive woman among you, so sensitive and delicate that she wouldn't think of touching the sole of her foot to the ground, will so begrudge her own beloved husband, son and daughter

57. ശത്രു നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളില് നിന്നെ ഞെരുക്കുന്ന ഞെരുക്കത്തിലും നിരോധത്തിലും സകലവസ്തുക്കളുടെയും ദുര്ല്ലഭത്വംനിമിത്തം അവള് അവരെ രഹസ്യമായി തിന്നും.

57. that she will secretly eat the afterbirth that comes out of her and even her own children as she bears them- so desperately hungry will she be in the severity of the siege and distress your enemies are inflicting on you in your towns.

58. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്ന മഹത്തും ഭയങ്കരവുമായ നാമത്തെ നീ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു ഈ പുസ്തകത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിലെ സകലവചനങ്ങളും പ്രമാണിച്ചനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കാഞ്ഞാല്

58. 'If you will not observe and obey all the words of this [Torah] that are written in this book, so that you will fear this glorious and awesome name, ADONAI your God;

59. യഹോവ നിന്റെ മേലും നിന്റെ സന്തതിയുടെമേലും നീണ്ടുനിലക്കുന്ന അപൂര്വ്വമായ മഹാബാധകളും നീണ്ടുനിലക്കുന്ന വല്ലാത്ത രോഗങ്ങളും വരുത്തും

59. then ADONAI will strike down you and your descendants with extraordinary plagues and severe sicknesses that go on and on.

60. നീ പേടിക്കുന്ന മിസ്രയീമിലെ വ്യാധികളൊക്കെയും അവന് നിന്റെമേല് വരുത്തും. അവ നിന്നെ പറ്റിപ്പിടിക്കും.

60. He will bring back upon you all the diseases the Egyptians had, which you were in dread of; and they will cling to you.

61. ഈ ന്യായപ്രമാണപുസ്തകത്തില് എഴുതിയിട്ടില്ലാത്ത

61. Not only that, but ADONAI will bring upon you all the sicknesses and plagues that are not written in this book of the [Torah]- until you are destroyed.

62. സകല രോഗവും ബാധയുംകൂടെ നീ നശിക്കുംവരെ യഹോവ നിന്റെമേല് വരുത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കും. ആകാശത്തിലെ നക്ഷത്രംപോലെ പെരുകിയിരുന്ന നിങ്ങള് നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു കേള്ക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടു ചുരുക്കംപേരായി ശേഷിക്കും.

62. You will be left few in number, whereas you were once as numerous as the stars in the sky- because you did not pay attention to the voice of ADONAI your God.

63. നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഗുണംചെയ്വാനും നിങ്ങളെ വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിപ്പാനും യഹോവ നിങ്ങളുടെമേല് പ്രസാദിച്ചിരുന്നതുപോലെ തന്നേ നിങ്ങളെ നശിപ്പിപ്പാനും നിര്മ്മൂലമാക്കുവാനും യഹോവ പ്രസാദിച്ചു, നീ കൈവശമാക്കുവാന് ചെല്ലുന്ന ദേശത്തുനിന്നു നിങ്ങളെ പറിച്ചുകളയും.

63. 'Thus it will come about that just as once ADONAI took joy in seeking to do you good and increase your numbers, so now ADONAI will take joy in causing you to perish and be destroyed, and you will be plucked off the land you are entering in order to take possession of it.

64. യഹോവ നിന്നെ ഭൂമിയുടെ ഒരറ്റംമുതല് മറ്റെഅറ്റംവരെ സര്വ്വജാതികളുടെയും ഇടയില് ചിതറിക്കും; അവിടെ നീയും നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരും അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ലാത്തവയായി മരവും കല്ലുംകൊണ്ടുള്ള അന്യദൈവങ്ങളെ നീ സേവിക്കും.

64. ADONAI will scatter you among all peoples from one end of the earth to the other, and there you will serve other gods, made of wood and stone, which neither you nor your ancestors have known.

65. ആ ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില് നിനക്കു സ്വസ്ഥത കിട്ടുകയില്ല; നിന്റെ കാലിന്നു വിശ്രാമസ്ഥലം ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല; അവിടെ യഹോവ നിനക്കു വിറെക്കുന്ന ഹൃദയവും മങ്ങുന്ന കണ്ണും നിരാശയുള്ള മനസ്സും തരും.

65. Among these nations you will not find repose, and there will be no rest for the sole of your foot; rather ADONAI will give you there anguish of heart, dimness of eyes and apathy of spirit.

66. നിന്റെ ജീവന് നിന്റെ മുമ്പില് തൂങ്ങിയിരിക്കും; രാവും പകലും നീ പേടിച്ചു പാര്ക്കും; പ്രാണഭയം നിന്നെ വിട്ടുമാറുകയില്ല.

66. Your life will hang in doubt before you; you will be afraid night and day and have no assurance that you will stay alive.

67. നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില് നീ പേടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന പേടി നിമിത്തവും നീ കണ്ണാലെ കാണുന്ന കാഴ്ചനിമിത്തവും നേരം വെളുക്കുമ്പോള്സന്ധ്യ ആയെങ്കില് കൊള്ളായിരുന്നു എന്നും സന്ധ്യാകാലത്തുനേരം വെളുത്തെങ്കില് കൊള്ളായിരുന്നു എന്നും നീ പറയും.

67. In the morning you will say, 'Oh, how I wish it were evening!' and in the evening you will say, 'Oh, how I wish it were morning!'- because of the fear overwhelming your heart and the sights your eyes will see.

68. നീ ഇനി കാണുകയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് നിന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞ വഴിയായി യഹോവ നിന്നെ കപ്പല് കയറ്റി മിസ്രയീമിലേക്കു മടക്കിക്കൊണ്ടുപോകും; അവിടെ നിങ്ങളെ ശത്രുക്കള്ക്കു അടിയാരും അടിയാട്ടികളുമായി വില്പാന് നിര്ത്തും; എന്നാല് നിങ്ങളെ വാങ്ങുവാന് ആരും ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല.

68. Finally, ADONAI will bring you back in ships to Egypt, the place of which I said to you, 'You will never ever see it again'; and there you will try to sell yourselves as slaves to your enemies, but no one will buy you.'

69. ഹോരേബില്വെച്ചു യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു ചെയ്ത നിയമത്തിന്നും പുറമെ മോവാബ് ദേശത്തുവെച്ചു അവരോടു ചെയ്വാന് യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ച നിയമത്തിന്റെ വചനങ്ങള് ഇവ തന്നേ.

69. These are the words of the covenant which ADONAI ordered Moshe to make with the people of Isra'el in the land of Mo'av, in addition to the covenant which he made with them in Horev. [(vii)]
