1. But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.

2. മനുഷ്യര് സ്വസ്നേഹികളും വമ്പു പറയുന്നവരും അഹങ്കാരികളും ദൂഷകന്മാരും അമ്മയപ്പന്മാരെ അനുസരിക്കാത്തവരും നന്ദികെട്ടവരും അശുദ്ധരും

2. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,

3. വാത്സല്യമില്ലാത്തവരും ഇണങ്ങാത്തവരും ഏഷണിക്കാരും അജിതേന്ദ്രിയന്മാരും ഉഗ്രന്മാരും

3. without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good,

4. സല്ഗുണദ്വേഷികളും ദ്രോഹികളും ധാര്ഷ്ട്യക്കാരും നിഗളികളുമായി

4. treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God

5. ദൈവപ്രീയമില്ലാതെ ഭോഗപ്രിയരായി ഭക്തിയുടെ വേഷം ധരിച്ചു അതിന്റെ ശക്തി ത്യജിക്കുന്നവരുമായിരിക്കും. അങ്ങനെയുള്ളവരെ വിട്ടൊഴിയുക.

5. having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

6. വീടുകളില് നൂണുകടക്കയും പാപങ്ങളെ ചുമന്നുകൊണ്ടു നാനാ മോഹങ്ങള്ക്കും അധീനരായി എപ്പോഴും പഠിച്ചിട്ടും ഒരിക്കലും സത്യത്തിന്റെ പരിജ്ഞാനം പ്രാപിപ്പാന് കഴിയാത്ത പെണ്ണുങ്ങളെ സ്വാധീനമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവര് ഈ കൂട്ടത്തിലുള്ളവര് ആകുന്നു;

6. They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires,

7. always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth.

8. Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these teachers oppose the truth. They are men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected.

10. You, however, know all about my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance,

13. while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.

14. നീ പഠിച്ചും നിശ്ചയം പ്രാപിച്ചും ഇരിക്കുന്നതില് നിലനില്ക്ക.

14. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it,

15. എല്ലാതിരുവെഴുത്തും ദൈവശ്വാസീയമാകയാല് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മനുഷ്യന് സകല സല്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കും വക പ്രാപിച്ചു തികഞ്ഞവന് ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു

15. and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

16. ഉപദേശത്തിന്നും ശാസനത്തിന്നും ഗുണീകരണത്തിന്നും നീതിയിലെ അഭ്യാസത്തിന്നും പ്രയോജനമുള്ളതു ആകുന്നു.
