1. ന്യായപ്രമാണം വരുവാനുള്ള നന്മകളുടെ നിഴലല്ലാതെ കാര്യങ്ങളുടെ സാക്ഷാല് സ്വരൂപമല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു ആണ്ടുതോറും ഇടവിടാതെ കഴിച്ചുവരുന്ന അതേ യാഗങ്ങളാല് അടുത്തുവരുന്നവര്ക്കും സല്ഗുണപൂര്ത്തി വരുത്തുവാന് ഒരുനാളും കഴിവുള്ളതല്ല.

1. For the law having a shadow of good things to come, [and] not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers to [them] perfect.

2. അല്ലെങ്കില് ആരാധനക്കാര്ക്കും ഒരിക്കല് ശുദ്ധിവന്നതിന്റെ ശേഷം പാപങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള മനോബോധം പിന്നെ ഇല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു യാഗം കഴിക്കുന്നതു നിന്നുപോകയില്ലയോ?

2. For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once cleansed should have had no more conscience of sins.

3. ഇപ്പോഴോ ആണ്ടുതോറും അവയാല് പാപങ്ങളുടെ ഔര്മ്മ ഉണ്ടാകുന്നു.

3. But in those [sacrifices there is] a remembrance again [made] of sins every year.

4. For [it is] not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

5. Therefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:

7. Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

8. ന്യായപ്രമാണപ്രകാരം കഴിച്ചുവരുന്ന യാഗങ്ങളും വഴിപാടും സര്വ്വാംഗഹോമങ്ങളും പാപയാഗങ്ങളും നീ ഇച്ഛിച്ചില്ല അവയില് പ്രസാദിച്ചതുമില്ല എന്നിങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞശേഷം

8. Before when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and [offering] for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure [in them]; which are offered by the law;

9. ഇതാ, ഞാന് നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ചെയ്വാന് വരുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടു അവന് രണ്ടാമത്തേതിനെ സ്ഥാപിപ്പാന് ഒന്നാമത്തേതിനെ നീക്കിക്കളയുന്നു.

9. Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

10. ആ ഇഷ്ടത്തില് നാം യേശു ക്രിസ്തു ഒരിക്കലായി കഴിച്ച ശരീരയാഗത്താല് വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

10. By that will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once [for all].

11. ഏതു പുരോഹിതനും ദിവസേന ശുശ്രൂഷിച്ചും പാപങ്ങളെ പരിഹരിപ്പാന് ഒരുനാളും കഴിയാത്ത അതേ യാഗങ്ങളെ കൂടക്കൂടെ കഴിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു നിലക്കുന്നു.

11. And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering often the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:

14. ഏകയാഗത്താല് അവന് വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നവര്ക്കും സദാകാലത്തേക്കും സല്ഗുണപൂര്ത്തി വരുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

14. For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

15. അതു പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവും നമുക്കു സാക്ഷീകരിക്കുന്നു.

15. [Of this] the Holy Spirit also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,

16. “ഈ കാലം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം ഞാന് അവരോടു ചെയ്വാനിരിക്കുന്ന നിയമം ഇങ്ങനെയാകുന്നുഎന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം അവരുടെ ഉള്ളിലാക്കി അവരുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളില് എഴുതും എന്നു കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു” എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തശേഷം

16. This [is] the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

17. “അവരുടെ പാപങ്ങളെയും അകൃത്യങ്ങളെയും ഞാന് ഇനി ഔര്ക്കയുമില്ല” എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

17. And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

18. എന്നാല് ഇവയുടെ മോചനം ഉള്ളേടത്തു ഇനിമേല് പാപങ്ങള്ക്കു വേണ്ടി ഒരു യാഗവും ആവശ്യമില്ല.

18. Now where remission of these [is, there is] no more offering for sin.

19. അതുകൊണ്ടു സഹോദരന്മാരേ, യേശു തന്റെ ദേഹം എന്ന തിരശ്ശീലയില്കൂടി നമുക്കു പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ച ജീവനുള്ള പുതുവഴിയായി,

19. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

20. തന്റെ രക്തത്താല് വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിലേക്കുള്ള പ്രവേശനത്തിന്നു

20. By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

21. ധൈര്യ്യവും ദൈവാലയത്തിന്മേല് ഒരു മഹാപുരോഹിതനും നമുക്കുള്ളതുകൊണ്ടു

21. And [having] an high priest over the house of God;

22. നാം ദുര്മ്മനസ്സാക്ഷി നീങ്ങുമാറു ഹൃദയങ്ങളില് തളിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരും ശുദ്ധവെള്ളത്താല് ശരീരം കഴുകപ്പെട്ടവരുമായി വിശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ പൂര്ണ്ണനിശ്ചയം പൂണ്ടു പരമാര്ത്ഥഹൃദയത്തോടെ അടുത്തു ചെല്ലുക.

22. Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

23. പ്രത്യാശയുടെ സ്വീകാരം നാം മുറുകെ പിടിച്ചുകൊള്ക; വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്തവന് വിശ്വസ്തനല്ലോ.

23. Let us hold fast the profession of [our] faith without wavering; (for he [is] faithful that promised;)

24. ചിലര് ചെയ്യുന്നതുപോലെ നമ്മുടെ സഭായോഗങ്ങളെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കാതെ തമ്മില് പ്രബോധിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു സ്നേഹത്തിന്നും സല്പ്രവൃത്തികള്ക്കും ഉത്സാഹം വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിപ്പാന് അന്യോന്യം സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്ക. നാള് സമീപിക്കുന്നു എന്നു കാണുംതോറും അതു അധികമധികമായി ചെയ്യേണ്ടതാകുന്നു.

24. And let us consider one another to stir up to love and to good works:

25. സത്യത്തിന്റെ പരിജ്ഞാനം ലഭിച്ചശേഷം നാം മന:പൂര്വ്വം പാപം ചെയ്താല് പാപങ്ങള്ക്കുവേണ്ടി ഇനി ഒരു യാഗവും ശേഷിക്കാതെ

25. Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves, as the manner of some [is]; but exhorting [one another]: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

26. ന്യായവിധിക്കായി ഭയങ്കരമായോരു പ്രതീക്ഷയും എതിരികളെ ദഹിപ്പിപ്പാനുള്ള ക്രോധാഗ്നിയുമേയുള്ളു.

26. For if we sin wilfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

27. മോശെയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം അനുസരിക്കാത്തവന്നു കരുണ കൂടാതെ രണ്ടു മൂന്നു സാക്ഷികളുടെ വാമൊഴികേട്ടു മരണശിക്ഷ കല്പിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

27. But a certain fearful expectation of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

28. ദൈവപുത്രനെ ചവിട്ടികളകയും തന്നെ വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ച നിയമരക്തത്തെ മലിനം എന്നു നിരൂപിക്കയും കൃപയുടെ ആത്മാവിനെ നിന്ദിക്കയും ചെയ്തവന് എത്ര കഠിനമേറിയ ശിക്ഷെക്കു പാത്രമാകും എന്നു വിചാരിപ്പിന് .

28. He that despised Moses ' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

29. Of how much more severe punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, by which he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite to the Spirit of grace?

31. [It is] a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

32. ആ വക അനുഭവിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും കൂട്ടാളികളായിത്തീര്ന്നും ഇങ്ങനെ കഷ്ടങ്ങളാല് വളരെ പോരാട്ടം കഴിച്ച പൂര്വ്വകാലം ഔര്ത്തുകൊള്വിന് .

32. But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;

33. തടവുകാരോടു നിങ്ങള് സഹതാപം കാണിച്ചതല്ലാതെ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് നിലനിലക്കുന്ന ഉത്തമസമ്പത്തു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഉണ്ടു എന്നറിഞ്ഞു സമ്പത്തുകളുടെ അപഹാരവും സന്തോഷത്തോടെ സഹിച്ചുവല്ലോ.

33. Partly, while ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, while ye became companions of them that were so used.

34. അതുകൊണ്ടു മഹാ പ്രതിഫലമുള്ള നിങ്ങളുടെ ധൈര്യം തള്ളിക്കളയരുതു.

34. For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the plundering of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.

35. ദൈവേഷ്ടം ചെയ്തു വാഗ്ദത്തം പ്രാപിപ്പാന് സഹിഷ്ണുത നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ആവശ്യം.

35. Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.

36. “ഇനി എത്രയും അല്പകാലം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു വരുവാനുള്ളവന് വരും താമസിക്കയുമില്ല;”

36. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye may receive the promise.

37. എന്നാല് “എന്റെ നീതിമാന് വിശ്വാസത്താല് ജീവിക്കും; പിന് മാറുന്നു എങ്കില് എന്റെ ഉള്ളത്തിന്നു അവനില് പ്രസാദമില്ല”.

37. For yet a little while, and he that is coming will come, and will not tarry.

38. നാമോ നാശത്തിലേക്കു പിന്മാറുന്നവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലല്ല, വിശ്വസിച്ചു ജീവരക്ഷ പ്രാപിക്കുന്നവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലത്രേ ആകുന്നു.

38. Now the just shall live by faith: but if [any man] shall draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
