1. അനന്തരം യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ സഭ മുഴുവനും ശീലോവില് ഒന്നിച്ചുകൂടി അവിടെ സമാഗമനക്കുടാരം നിര്ത്തി; ദേശം അവര്ക്കും കീഴടങ്ങിയിരുന്നു.

1. And all the congregation of the children of Israel were assembled at Shiloh, and there they pitched the tabernacle of witness. And the land was subdued by them.

2. എന്നാല് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളില് അവകാശം ഭാഗിച്ചു കിട്ടാതിരുന്ന ഏഴു ഗോത്രങ്ങള് ശേഷിച്ചിരുന്നു.

2. And the sons of Israel remained, [even] those who had not received their inheritance, seven tribes.

3. യോശുവ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തന്നിരിക്കുന്ന ദേശം കൈവശമാക്കുവാന് പോകുന്നതിന്നു നിങ്ങള് എത്രത്തോളം മടിച്ചിരിക്കും?

3. And Joshua said to the sons of Israel, How long will you be slack to inherit the land, which the Lord our God has given you?

4. ഔരോ ഗോത്രത്തിന്നു മുമ്മൂന്നു പേരെ നിയമിപ്പിന് ; ഞാന് അവരെ അയക്കും; അവര് പുറപ്പെട്ടു ദേശത്തുകൂടി സഞ്ചരിച്ചു തങ്ങള്ക്കു അവകാശം കിട്ടേണ്ടുംപ്രകാരം കണ്ടെഴുതി എന്റെ അടുക്കല് മടങ്ങിവരേണം.

4. Appoint of yourselves three men of each tribe, and let them rise up and go through the land, and let them describe it before me, as it will be proper to divide it.

5. അതു ഏഴു പങ്കായി ഭാഗിക്കേണംയെഹൂദാ തന്റെ അതിര്ക്കകത്തു തെക്കു പാര്ത്തുകൊള്ളട്ടെ; യോസേഫിന്റെ കുലവും തന്റെ അതിര്ക്കകത്തു വടക്കു പാര്ത്തുകൊള്ളട്ടെ.

5. And they came to him. And he divided to them seven portions, [saying], Judah shall stand to them a border southward, and the sons of Joseph shall stand to them northward.

6. അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങള് ദേശം ഏഴുഭാഗമായി കണ്ടെഴുതി ഇവിടെ എന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവരുവിന് . ഞാന് ഇവിടെ നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില്വെച്ചു നിങ്ങള്ക്കുവേണ്ടി ചീട്ടിടും.

6. And divide the land into seven parts, and bring its description here to me, and I will give you a lot before the Lord our God.

7. ലേവ്യര്ക്കും നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് ഔഹരി ഇല്ലല്ലോ; യഹോവയുടെ പൌരോഹിത്യം അവരുടെ അവകാശം ആകുന്നു; ഗാദും രൂബേനും മനശ്ശെയുടെ പാതിഗോത്രവും യഹോവയുടെ ദാസനായ മോശെ അവര്ക്കും കൊടുത്തിട്ടുള്ള അവകാശം യോര്ദ്ദാന്നു കിഴക്കു വാങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

7. For the sons of Levi have no part among you; for the priesthood of the Lord [is] his portion; and Gad, and Reuben, and the half-tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan eastward, which Moses the servant of the Lord gave to them.

8. അങ്ങനെ ആ പുരുഷന്മാര് യാത്ര പുറപ്പെട്ടു; ദേശം കണ്ടെഴുതുവാന് പോയവരോടു യോശുവനിങ്ങള് ചെന്നു ദേശത്തുകൂടി സഞ്ചരിച്ചു കണ്ടെഴുതുകയും ഞാന് ഇവിടെ ശീലോവില് യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില്വെച്ചു നിങ്ങള്ക്കുവേണ്ടി ചീട്ടിടേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്റെ അടുക്കല് മടങ്ങിവരികയും ചെയ്വിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

8. And the men rose up and went; and Joshua commanded the men who went to explore the land, saying, Go and explore the land, and come to me, and I will bring you forth a lot here before the Lord in Shiloh.

9. അവര് പോയി ദേശത്തുകൂടി കടന്നു നഗരവിവരത്തോടുകൂടെ ഒരു പുസ്തകത്തില് അതു ഏഴു ഭാഗമായി എഴുതി ശീലോവില് യോശുവയുടെ അടുക്കല് പാളയത്തിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവന്നു.

9. And they went, and explored the land. And they viewed it, and described it according to the cities, seven parts in a book, and brought [the book] to Joshua.

10. അപ്പോള് യോശുവ ശീലോവില് യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില്വെച്ചു അവര്ക്കും വേണ്ടി ചീട്ടിട്ടു; അവിടെവെച്ചു യോശുവ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള്ക്കു ഗോത്രവിഭാഗപ്രകാരം ദേശം വിഭാഗിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു.

10. And Joshua cast the lot for them in Shiloh before the Lord.

11. ബെന്യാമീന് മക്കളുടെ ഗോത്രത്തിന്നു കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി നറുകൂ വന്നു; അവരുടെ അവകാശത്തിന്റെ അതിര് യെഹൂദയുടെ മക്കളുടെയും യോസേഫിന്റെ മക്കളുടെയും മദ്ധ്യേ കിടക്കുന്നു.

11. And the lot of the tribe of Benjamin came forth first according to their families. And the borders of their lot came forth between the children of Judah and the children of Joseph.

12. വടക്കുഭാഗത്തു അവരുടെ വടക്കെ അതിര് യോര്ദ്ദാങ്കല് തുടങ്ങി വടക്കു യെരീഹോവിന്റെ പാര്ശ്വംവരെ ചെന്നു പടിഞ്ഞാറോട്ടു മലനാട്ടില്കൂടി കയറി ബേത്ത്-ആവെന് മരുഭൂമിയിങ്കല് അവസാനിക്കുന്നു.

12. And their borders were northward: the borders shall go up from the Jordan behind Jericho northward, and shall go up to the mountain westward, and the issue of it shall be the Wilderness of Beth Aven.

13. അവിടെനിന്നു ആ അതിര് ബേഥേല് എന്ന ലൂസിന്റെ തെക്കുവശംവരെ കടന്നു താഴത്തെ ബേത്ത്-ഹോരോന്റെ തെക്കുവശത്തുള്ള മലവഴിയായി അതെരോത്ത്-അദാരിലേക്കു ഇറങ്ങുന്നു.

13. And the borders will go forth from there to Luz, behind Luz, from the south of it; this is Bethel. And the borders shall go down to Ataroth Adar, to the hill country, which is southward of Beth Horon.

14. പിന്നെ ആ അതിര് വളഞ്ഞു പടിഞ്ഞാറെ വശത്തു ബേത്ത്-ഹോരോന്നു എതിരെയുള്ള മലമുതല് തെക്കോട്ടു തിരിഞ്ഞു യെഹൂദാമക്കളുടെ പട്ടണമായ കിര്യ്യത്ത്-യെയാരീം എന്ന കിര്യ്യത്ത്-ബാലയിങ്കല് അവസാനിക്കുന്നു. ഇതു തന്നെ പടിഞ്ഞാറെ ഭാഗം

14. And the borders shall pass through and proceed to the part that looks toward the sea, on the south, from the mountain in front of Beth Horon southward, and its termination shall be at Kirjath Baal, which is Kirjath Jearim, a city of the children of Judah; this is the part toward the west.

15. തെക്കെഭാഗം കിര്യ്യത്ത്-യെയാരീമിന്റെ അറ്റത്തുള്ള തുടങ്ങി പടിഞ്ഞാറോട്ടു നെപ്തോഹവെള്ളത്തിന്റെ ഉറവുവരെ ചെല്ലുന്നു.

15. And the south side on the part of Kirjath Baal; and the borders shall go across to Gasin, to the fountain of the water of Nephtoah.

16. പിന്നെ ആ അതിര് ബെന് -ഹിന്നോംതാഴ്വരക്കെതിരെയും രെഫായീംതാഴ്വരയുടെ വടക്കുവശത്തും ഉള്ള മലയുടെ അറ്റംവരെ ചെന്നു ഹിന്നോംതാഴ്വരയില് കൂടി തെക്കോട്ടു യെബൂസ്യപര്വ്വതത്തിന്റെ പാര്ശ്വംവരെയും ഏന് -രോഗേല്വരെയും ഇറങ്ങി

16. And the borders shall extend down on one side, this is in front of the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, which is on the side of Rephaim northward, and it shall come down to Gehenna behind Jebus southward: it shall come down to En Rogel.

17. വടക്കോട്ടു തിരിഞ്ഞു ഏന് -ശേമെശിലേക്കും അദുമ്മീംകയറ്റത്തിന്നെതിരെയുള്ള ഗെലീലോത്തിലേക്കും ചെന്നു രൂബേന്റെ മകനായ ബോഹാന്റെ കല്ലുവരെ ഇറങ്ങി

17. And [the borders] shall go across to En Shemesh,

18. അരാബെക്കെതിരെയുള്ള മലഞ്ചരിവിലേക്കു കടന്നു അരാബയിലേക്കു ഇറങ്ങിച്ചെല്ലുന്നു.

18. and shall proceed to Galiloth, which is in front by the going up of Ethamin; and they shall come down to the stone of Beon of the sons of Reuben, and shall pass over behind Beth Arabah northward, and shall go down to the borders behind the sea northward.

19. പിന്നെ ആ അതിര് വടക്കോട്ടു ബേത്ത്-ഹൊഗ്ളയുടെ മലഞ്ചരിവുവരെ കടന്നു തെക്കു യോര്ദ്ദാന്റെ അഴിമുഖത്തു ഉപ്പുകടലിന്റെ വടക്കെ അറ്റത്തു അവസാനിക്കുന്നു.

19. And the termination of the borders shall be at the creek of the Salt Sea northward to the side of the Jordan southward: these are their southern borders.

20. ഇതു തെക്കെ അതിര്, അതിന്റെ കിഴക്കെ അതിര് യോര്ദ്ദാന് ആകുന്നു; ഇതു ബെന്യാമീന് മക്കള്ക്കു കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി കിട്ടിയ അവകാശത്തിന്റെ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള അതിരുകള്.

20. And the Jordan shall be their boundary on the east: this [is] the inheritance of the children of Benjamin, these [are] their borders round about according to their families.

21. എന്നാല് ബെന്യാമീന് മക്കളുടെ ഗോത്രത്തിന്നു കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി കിട്ടിയ പട്ടണങ്ങള്യെരീഹോ, ബേത്ത്-ഹൊഗ്ള, ഏമെക്-കെയെരീഹോ, ബേത്ത്-ഹെഗ്ള, ഏമെക്-കെസീസ്,

21. And the cities of the children of Benjamin according to their families were: Jericho, Beth Haglah, Emek,

22. ബേത്ത്-അരാബ, സെമാറയീം, ബേഥേല്,

22. Beth Arabah, Sara, Besana,

23. അവ്വീം, പാര, ഒഫ്ര,

23. Avim, Parah, Ephratha,

24. കെഫാര്-അമ്മോനീ, ഒഫ്നി, ഗേബ; ഇങ്ങനെ പന്ത്രണ്ടു പട്ടണവും അവയുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും;

24. Carapha, Cephira, Moni, Gabaa, twelve cities and their villages;

25. ഗിബെയോന് , രാമ, ബേരോത്ത്,

25. Gibeon, Ramah, Beeroth,

26. മിസ്പെ, കെഫീര, മോസ,

26. Mizpah, Miron, Mozah;

27. രേക്കെം, യിര്പ്പേല്, തരല,

27. Phira, Caphan, Nacan, Selecan, Taralah,

28. സേല, ഏലെഫ്, യെരൂശാലേം എന്ന യെബൂസ്യനഗരം, ശിബെയത്ത്, കിര്യ്യത്ത്; ഇങ്ങനെ പതിന്നാലു പട്ടണവും അവയുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും ഇതു ബെന്യാമീന് മക്കള്ക്കു കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി കിട്ടിയ അവകാശം.

28. Jebus (this is Jerusalem); and Gibeath, [and] Jearim; thirteen cities, and their villages. This [is] the inheritance of the sons of Benjamin according to their families.
