1. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടതിന്റെ നാനൂറ്റെണ്പതാം സംവത്സരത്തില് യിസ്രായേലില് ശലോമോന്റെ വാഴ്ചയുടെ നാലാം ആണ്ടില് രണ്ടാം മാസമായ സീവ് മാസത്തില് അവന് യഹോവയുടെ ആലയം പണിവാന് തുടങ്ങി.

1. So in the month of Ziv, the second month of the year, during Solomon's fourth year as king, he began work on the Temple. This was 480 years after the Israelites left Egypt.

2. The Temple was 60 cubits long, 20 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high.

3. ആലയമായ മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ മുഖമണ്ഡപം ആലയവീതിക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം ഇരുപതു മുഴം നീളവും ആലയത്തിന്റെ മുന് വശത്തു പത്തു മുഴം വീതിയും ഉള്ളതായിരുന്നു.

3. The porch of the Temple was 20 cubits long and 10 cubits wide. The porch ran along the front of the main part of the Temple itself. Its length was equal to the width of the Temple.

4. അവന് ആലയത്തിന്നു ജാലം ഇണക്കിയ കിളിവാതിലുകളെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

4. There were narrow windows in the Temple. These windows were smaller on the inside of the wall than on the outside.

5. മന്ദിരവും അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരവും കൂടിയ ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുവരിനോടു ചേര്ത്തു ചുറ്റും തട്ടുതട്ടായി പുറവാരങ്ങളും പണിതു അവയില് ചുറ്റും അറകളും ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

5. Then Solomon built a row of rooms around the main part of the Temple. This row of rooms was three stories tall with the rooms built one above the other.

6. താഴത്തെ പുറവാരം അഞ്ചു മുഴവും നടുവിലത്തേതു ആറു മുഴവും മൂന്നാമത്തേതു ഏഴു മുഴവും വീതിയുള്ളതായിരുന്നു; തുലാങ്ങള് ആലയഭിത്തികളില് അകത്തു ചെല്ലാതിരിപ്പാന് അവന് ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുറ്റും പുറമെ ഗളം പണിതു.

6. The rooms touched the Temple wall, but their beams were not built into that wall. The Temple wall became thinner at the top, so the rooms on the upper floors were larger than the ones below them. The rooms on the bottom floor were 5 cubits wide. The rooms on the middle floor were 6 cubits wide. The rooms above that were 7 cubits wide.

7. വെട്ടുകുഴിയില്വെച്ചു തന്നേ കുറവുതീര്ത്ത കല്ലുകൊണ്ടു ആലയം പണിതതിനാല് അതു പണിയുന്ന സമയത്തു ചുറ്റിക, മഴു മുതലായ യാതൊരു ഇരിമ്പായുധത്തിന്റെയും ഒച്ച ആലയത്തിങ്കല് കേള്പ്പാനില്ലായിരുന്നു.

7. The stones were completely finished before they were brought into the Temple area, so there was no noise of hammers, axes, or any other iron tools in the Temple.

8. താഴത്തെ പുറവാരത്തിന്റെ വാതില് ആലയത്തിന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു ആയിരുന്നു; ചുഴല്കോവണിയില്കൂടെ നടുവിലെ പുറവാരത്തിലേക്കും നടുവിലത്തേതില്നിന്നു മൂന്നാമത്തെ പുറവാരത്തിലേക്കും കയറാം.

8. The entrance to these rooms was on bottom floor at the south side of the Temple. Inside there were stairs that went up to the second floor and from there to the third floor.

9. അങ്ങനെ അവന് ആലയം പണിതുതീര്ത്തു; ദേവദാരുത്തുലാങ്ങളും ദേവദാരുപ്പലകയുംകൊണ്ടു ആലയത്തിന്നു മച്ചിട്ടു.

9. Solomon finished building the main part of the Temple and then covered it inside with cedar boards.

10. ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള തട്ടുകള് അയ്യഞ്ചു മുഴം ഉയരത്തില് അവന് പണിതു ദേവദാരുത്തുലാങ്ങള്കൊണ്ടു ആലയത്തോടു ഇണെച്ചു.

10. Then he finished building the rooms around the Temple. Each story was 5 cubits tall. The cedar beams in these rooms rested on a ledge of the Temple wall.

11. ശലോമോന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു ഉണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

11. The Lord said to Solomon,

12. നീ പണിയുന്ന ഈ ആലയം ഉണ്ടല്ലോ; നീ എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളെ ആചരിച്ചു എന്റെ വിധികളെ അനുസരിച്ചു എന്റെ കല്പനകളൊക്കെയും പ്രമാണിച്ചു നടന്നാല് ഞാന് നിന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനം നിന്നില് നിവര്ത്തിക്കും.

12. If you obey all my laws and commands, I will do for you what I promised your father David.

13. ഞാന് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ വസിക്കും; എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയില്ല.

13. I will live among the children of Israel in this Temple that you are building, and I will never leave the people of Israel.'

14. അങ്ങനെ ശലോമോന് ആലയം പണിതുതീര്ത്തു.

14. When Solomon finished the stonework on the Temple,

15. അവന് ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുവര് അകത്തെവശം ദേവദാരുപ്പലകകൊണ്ടു പണിതു; ഇങ്ങനെ അവര് ആലയത്തിന്റെ നിലംമുതല് മച്ചുവരെ അകത്തെ വശം മരംകൊണ്ടു നിറെച്ചു; ആലയത്തിന്റെ നിലം സരളപ്പലകകൊണ്ടു തളമിട്ടു.

15. the stone walls inside the Temple were covered with cedar boards from floor to ceiling. Then the stone floor was covered with pine boards.

16. ആലയത്തിന്റെ പിന് വശം ഇരുപതു മുഴം നീളത്തില് നിലംമുതല് ഉത്തരം വരെ ദേവദാരുപ്പലകകൊണ്ടു പണിതുഇങ്ങനെയാകുന്നു അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരമായ അതിവിശുദ്ധസ്ഥലത്തിന്റെ ഉള്വശം പണിതതു.

16. They built an inner room 20 cubits long in the back part of the Temple. This room was called the Most Holy Place. They covered the walls in this room with cedar boards, from floor to ceiling.

17. അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ മുന് ഭാഗത്തുള്ള മന്ദിരമായ ആലയത്തിന്നു നാല്പതു മുഴം നിളമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

17. In front of the Most Holy Place was the main part of the Temple. This room was 40 cubits long.

18. ആലയത്തിന്റെ അകത്തെ ചുവരിന്മേല് ദേവദാരുകൊണ്ടുള്ള കുമിഴുകളും വിടര്ന്ന പുഷ്പങ്ങളും കൊത്തുപണിയായിരുന്നു; എല്ലാം ദേവദാരുകൊണ്ടായിരുന്നു; കല്ലു അശേഷം കാണ്മാനുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.

18. They covered the walls in this room with cedar boards�none of the stones in the walls could be seen. They carved pictures of flowers and gourds into the cedar.

19. ആലയത്തിന്റെ അകത്തു യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകം വെക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന് ഒരു അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരം ചമെച്ചു.

19. Solomon finished the inner room in the back part of the Temple. This room was for the Lord's Box of the Agreement.

20. അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ അകം ഇരുപതു മുഴം നീളവും ഇരുപതു മുഴം വീതിയും ഇരുപതു മുഴം ഉയരവും ഉള്ളതായിരുന്നു; അവന് അതു തങ്കംകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു; ദേവദാരുമരംകൊണ്ടുള്ള ധൂപപീഠവും പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

20. This room was 20 cubits long, 20 cubits wide, and 20 cubits high. Solomon covered this room with pure gold. He built an incense altar in front of this room. He covered the altar with gold,

21. ആലയത്തിന്റെ അകം ശലോമോന് തങ്കംകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു; അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ മുന് വശത്തു വിലങ്ങത്തില് പൊന് ചങ്ങല കൊളുത്തി അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരം പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

21. and wrapped gold chains around it.

22. അങ്ങനെ അവന് ആലയം ആസകലം പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു; അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്നുള്ള പീഠവും മുഴുവനും പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

22. The inside of the Temple was covered with gold, and the altar in front of the Most Holy Place was covered with gold.

23. അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരത്തില് അവന് ഒലിവുമരംകൊണ്ടു പത്തു മുഴം ഉയരമുള്ള രണ്ടു കെരൂബുകളെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

23. The workers made two statues of Cherub angels with wings. They made the statues from olive wood and put them in the Most Holy Place. Each angel was 10 cubits tall.

24. ഒരു കെരൂബിന്റെ ഒരു ചിറകു അഞ്ചു മുഴം, കെരൂബിന്റെ മറ്റെ ചിറകു അഞ്ചു മുഴം; ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരു ചിറകിന്റെ അറ്റം മുതല് മറ്റെ ചിറകിന്റെ അറ്റംവരെ പത്തു മുഴം.

24. Both Cherub angels were the same size and built the same way. Each one had two wings. Each wing was 5 cubits long. From the end of one wing to the end of the other wing was 10 cubits. And each Cherub angel was 10 cubits tall.

25. മറ്റെ കെരൂബിന്നും പത്തു മുഴം; കെരൂബ് രണ്ടിന്നും അളവും ആകൃതിയും ഒന്നു തന്നേ.

26. ഒരു കെരൂബിന്റെ ഉയരം പത്തു മുഴം; മറ്റെ കെരൂബിന്നും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ.

27. അവന് കെരൂബുകളെ അന്തരാലയത്തിന്റെ നടുവില് നിര്ത്തി; കെരൂബുകളുടെ ചിറകു വിടര്ന്നിരുന്നു; ഒന്നിന്റെ ചിറകു ഒരു ചുവരോടും മറ്റേതിന്റെ ചിറകു മറ്റേ ചുവരോടും തൊട്ടിരുന്നു. ആലയത്തിന്റെ നടുവില് അവയുടെ ചിറകു ഒന്നോടൊന്നു തൊട്ടിരുന്നു.

27. They put the Cherub angels beside one another in the Most Holy Place. Their wings touched each other in the middle of the room. The other two wings touched each side wall.

28. കെരൂബുകളെയും അവന് പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

28. The two Cherub angels were covered with gold.

29. അന്തരാലയവും ബഹിരാലയവുമായ ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുവരുകളിലെല്ലാം ചുറ്റും കെരൂബ്, ഈന്തപ്പന, വിടര്ന്ന പുഷ്പം എന്നിവയുടെ രൂപം കൊത്തി ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

29. The walls around the main room and the inner room were carved with pictures of Cherub angels, palm trees, and flowers.

30. അന്തരാലയവും ബഹിരാലയവുമായ ആലയത്തിന്റെ തളവും അവന് പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

30. The floor of both rooms was covered with gold.

31. അവന് അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ വാതിലിന്നു ഒലിവുമരംകൊണ്ടു കതകു ഉണ്ടാക്കി; കുറമ്പടിയും കട്ടളക്കാലും ചുവരിന്റെ അഞ്ചില് ഒരു അംശമായിരുന്നു.

31. The workers made two doors from olive wood. They put these doors at the entrance of the Most Holy Place. The frame around the doors was made with five sides.

32. ഒലിവ് മരം കൊണ്ടുള്ള കതകു രണ്ടിലും കെരൂബ്, ഈന്തപ്പന, വിടര്ന്ന പുഷ്പം എന്നിവയുടെ രൂപങ്ങള് കൊത്തി പൊന്നു പൊതിഞ്ഞു; കെരൂബുകളിലും ഈന്തപ്പനകളിലും പൊന്നു പൊതിഞ്ഞു

32. They made the two doors from olive wood. The workers carved pictures of Cherub angels, palm trees, and flowers on the doors. Then they covered the doors with gold.

33. അവ്വണ്ണം തന്നേ അവന് മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ വാതിലിന്നും ഒലിവുമരംകൊണ്ടു കട്ടള ഉണ്ടാക്കി; അതു ചുവരിന്റെ നാലില് ഒരംശമായിരുന്നു.

33. They also made doors for the entrance to the main room. They used olive wood to make a square doorframe.

34. അതിന്റെ കതകു രണ്ടും സരളമരംകൊണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഒരു കതകിന്നു രണ്ടു മടകൂപാളിയും മറ്റെ കതകിന്നു രണ്ടു മടകൂപാളിയും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

34. Then they used fir wood to make the doors. There were two doors. Each door had two parts, so the two doors folded.

35. അവന് അവയില് കെരൂബ്, ഈന്തപ്പന, വിടര്ന്ന പുഷ്പം എന്നിവയുടെ രൂപങ്ങളെ കൊത്തി രൂപങ്ങളുടെമേല് പൊന്നു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

35. They carved pictures of Cherub angels, palm trees, and flowers on the doors. Then they covered them with gold.

36. അവന് അകത്തെ പ്രാകാരം ചെത്തിയ കല്ലുകൊണ്ടു മൂന്നു വരിയും ദേവദാരുകൊണ്ടു ഒരു വരിയുമായിട്ടു പണിതു.

36. Then they built a wall around the inner yard. Each wall was made from three rows of cut stones and one row of cedar timbers.

37. നാലാം ആണ്ടു സീവ് മാസത്തില് യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്നു അടിസ്ഥാനം ഇടുകയും പതിനൊന്നാം ആണ്ടു എട്ടാം മാസമായ ബൂല് മാസത്തില് ആലയം അതിന്റെ സകലഭാഗങ്ങളുമായി അതിന്റെ മാതൃകപ്രകാരമൊക്കെയും പണിതുതീര്ക്കുംകയും ചെയ്തു. അങ്ങനെ അവന് ഏഴാണ്ടുകൊണ്ടു അതു പണിതുതീര്ത്തു.

37. They started working on the Temple in the month of Ziv, the second month of the year, during Solomon's fourth year as king of Israel.
