1. Four hundred and eighty years after the Israelites came out of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's rule over Israel, in the month of Ziv, the second month, Solomon started building The Temple of GOD.

2. The Temple that King Solomon built to GOD was ninety feet long, thirty feet wide, and forty-five feet high.

3. ആലയമായ മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ മുഖമണ്ഡപം ആലയവീതിക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം ഇരുപതു മുഴം നീളവും ആലയത്തിന്റെ മുന് വശത്തു പത്തു മുഴം വീതിയും ഉള്ളതായിരുന്നു.

3. There was a porch across the thirty-foot width of The Temple that extended out fifteen feet.

4. അവന് ആലയത്തിന്നു ജാലം ഇണക്കിയ കിളിവാതിലുകളെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

4. Within The Temple he made narrow, deep-silled windows.

5. Against the outside walls he built a supporting structure in which there were smaller rooms:

6. താഴത്തെ പുറവാരം അഞ്ചു മുഴവും നടുവിലത്തേതു ആറു മുഴവും മൂന്നാമത്തേതു ഏഴു മുഴവും വീതിയുള്ളതായിരുന്നു; തുലാങ്ങള് ആലയഭിത്തികളില് അകത്തു ചെല്ലാതിരിപ്പാന് അവന് ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുറ്റും പുറമെ ഗളം പണിതു.

6. The lower floor was seven and a half feet wide, the middle floor nine feet, and the third floor ten and a half feet. He had projecting ledges built into the outside Temple walls to support the buttressing beams.

7. വെട്ടുകുഴിയില്വെച്ചു തന്നേ കുറവുതീര്ത്ത കല്ലുകൊണ്ടു ആലയം പണിതതിനാല് അതു പണിയുന്ന സമയത്തു ചുറ്റിക, മഴു മുതലായ യാതൊരു ഇരിമ്പായുധത്തിന്റെയും ഒച്ച ആലയത്തിങ്കല് കേള്പ്പാനില്ലായിരുന്നു.

7. The stone blocks for the building of The Temple were all dressed at the quarry so that the building site itself was reverently quiet--no noise from hammers and chisels and other iron tools.

8. താഴത്തെ പുറവാരത്തിന്റെ വാതില് ആലയത്തിന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു ആയിരുന്നു; ചുഴല്കോവണിയില്കൂടെ നടുവിലെ പുറവാരത്തിലേക്കും നടുവിലത്തേതില്നിന്നു മൂന്നാമത്തെ പുറവാരത്തിലേക്കും കയറാം.

8. The entrance to the ground floor was at the south end of The Temple; stairs led to the second floor and then to the third.

9. അങ്ങനെ അവന് ആലയം പണിതുതീര്ത്തു; ദേവദാരുത്തുലാങ്ങളും ദേവദാരുപ്പലകയുംകൊണ്ടു ആലയത്തിന്നു മച്ചിട്ടു.

9. Solomon built and completed The Temple, finishing it off with roof beams and planks of cedar.

10. ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള തട്ടുകള് അയ്യഞ്ചു മുഴം ഉയരത്തില് അവന് പണിതു ദേവദാരുത്തുലാങ്ങള്കൊണ്ടു ആലയത്തോടു ഇണെച്ചു.

10. The supporting structure along the outside walls was attached to The Temple with cedar beams and the rooms in it were seven and a half feet tall.

11. The word of GOD came to Solomon saying,

12. നീ പണിയുന്ന ഈ ആലയം ഉണ്ടല്ലോ; നീ എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളെ ആചരിച്ചു എന്റെ വിധികളെ അനുസരിച്ചു എന്റെ കല്പനകളൊക്കെയും പ്രമാണിച്ചു നടന്നാല് ഞാന് നിന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനം നിന്നില് നിവര്ത്തിക്കും.

12. 'About this Temple you are building--what's important is that you live the way I've set out for you and do what I tell you, following my instructions carefully and obediently. Then I'll complete in you the promise I made to David your father.

13. ഞാന് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ വസിക്കും; എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയില്ല.

13. I'll personally take up my residence among the Israelites --I won't desert my people Israel.'

14. Solomon built and completed The Temple.

15. അവന് ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുവര് അകത്തെവശം ദേവദാരുപ്പലകകൊണ്ടു പണിതു; ഇങ്ങനെ അവര് ആലയത്തിന്റെ നിലംമുതല് മച്ചുവരെ അകത്തെ വശം മരംകൊണ്ടു നിറെച്ചു; ആലയത്തിന്റെ നിലം സരളപ്പലകകൊണ്ടു തളമിട്ടു.

15. He paneled the interior walls from floor to ceiling with cedar planks; for flooring he used cypress.

16. ആലയത്തിന്റെ പിന് വശം ഇരുപതു മുഴം നീളത്തില് നിലംമുതല് ഉത്തരം വരെ ദേവദാരുപ്പലകകൊണ്ടു പണിതുഇങ്ങനെയാകുന്നു അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരമായ അതിവിശുദ്ധസ്ഥലത്തിന്റെ ഉള്വശം പണിതതു.

16. The thirty feet at the rear of The Temple he made into an Inner Sanctuary, cedar planks from floor to ceiling--the Holy of Holies.

17. അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ മുന് ഭാഗത്തുള്ള മന്ദിരമായ ആലയത്തിന്നു നാല്പതു മുഴം നിളമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

17. The Main Sanctuary area in front was sixty feet long.

18. ആലയത്തിന്റെ അകത്തെ ചുവരിന്മേല് ദേവദാരുകൊണ്ടുള്ള കുമിഴുകളും വിടര്ന്ന പുഷ്പങ്ങളും കൊത്തുപണിയായിരുന്നു; എല്ലാം ദേവദാരുകൊണ്ടായിരുന്നു; കല്ലു അശേഷം കാണ്മാനുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.

18. The entire interior of The Temple was cedar, with carvings of fruits and flowers. All cedar--none of the stone was exposed.

19. ആലയത്തിന്റെ അകത്തു യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകം വെക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന് ഒരു അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരം ചമെച്ചു.

19. The Inner Sanctuary within The Temple was for housing the Chest of the Covenant of God.

20. അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ അകം ഇരുപതു മുഴം നീളവും ഇരുപതു മുഴം വീതിയും ഇരുപതു മുഴം ഉയരവും ഉള്ളതായിരുന്നു; അവന് അതു തങ്കംകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു; ദേവദാരുമരംകൊണ്ടുള്ള ധൂപപീഠവും പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

20. This Inner Sanctuary was a cube, thirty feet each way, all plated with gold. The Altar of cedar was also gold-plated.

21. ആലയത്തിന്റെ അകം ശലോമോന് തങ്കംകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു; അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ മുന് വശത്തു വിലങ്ങത്തില് പൊന് ചങ്ങല കൊളുത്തി അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരം പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

21. Everywhere you looked there was pure gold: gold chains strung in front of the gold-plated Inner Sanctuary--

22. അങ്ങനെ അവന് ആലയം ആസകലം പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു; അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്നുള്ള പീഠവും മുഴുവനും പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

22. gold everywhere--walls, ceiling, floor, and Altar. Dazzling!

23. അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരത്തില് അവന് ഒലിവുമരംകൊണ്ടു പത്തു മുഴം ഉയരമുള്ള രണ്ടു കെരൂബുകളെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

23. Then he made two cherubim, gigantic angel-like figures, from olivewood. Each was fifteen feet tall.

24. ഒരു കെരൂബിന്റെ ഒരു ചിറകു അഞ്ചു മുഴം, കെരൂബിന്റെ മറ്റെ ചിറകു അഞ്ചു മുഴം; ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരു ചിറകിന്റെ അറ്റം മുതല് മറ്റെ ചിറകിന്റെ അറ്റംവരെ പത്തു മുഴം.

24. The outstretched wings of the cherubim (they were identical in size and shape) measured another fifteen feet. He placed the two cherubim, their wings spread, in the Inner Sanctuary. The combined wingspread stretched the width of the room, the wing of one cherub touched one wall, the wing of the other the other wall, and the wings touched in the middle.

25. മറ്റെ കെരൂബിന്നും പത്തു മുഴം; കെരൂബ് രണ്ടിന്നും അളവും ആകൃതിയും ഒന്നു തന്നേ.

28. The cherubim were gold plated.

29. അന്തരാലയവും ബഹിരാലയവുമായ ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുവരുകളിലെല്ലാം ചുറ്റും കെരൂബ്, ഈന്തപ്പന, വിടര്ന്ന പുഷ്പം എന്നിവയുടെ രൂപം കൊത്തി ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

29. He then carved engravings of cherubim, palm trees, and flower blossoms on all the walls of both the Inner and the Main Sanctuary.

30. അന്തരാലയവും ബഹിരാലയവുമായ ആലയത്തിന്റെ തളവും അവന് പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

30. And all the floors of both inner and outer rooms were gold plated.

31. അവന് അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ വാതിലിന്നു ഒലിവുമരംകൊണ്ടു കതകു ഉണ്ടാക്കി; കുറമ്പടിയും കട്ടളക്കാലും ചുവരിന്റെ അഞ്ചില് ഒരു അംശമായിരുന്നു.

31. He constructed doors of olivewood for the entrance to the Inner Sanctuary; the lintel and doorposts were five-sided.

32. ഒലിവ് മരം കൊണ്ടുള്ള കതകു രണ്ടിലും കെരൂബ്, ഈന്തപ്പന, വിടര്ന്ന പുഷ്പം എന്നിവയുടെ രൂപങ്ങള് കൊത്തി പൊന്നു പൊതിഞ്ഞു; കെരൂബുകളിലും ഈന്തപ്പനകളിലും പൊന്നു പൊതിഞ്ഞു

32. The doors were also carved with cherubim, palm trees, and flowers, and then covered with gold leaf.

33. അവ്വണ്ണം തന്നേ അവന് മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ വാതിലിന്നും ഒലിവുമരംകൊണ്ടു കട്ടള ഉണ്ടാക്കി; അതു ചുവരിന്റെ നാലില് ഒരംശമായിരുന്നു.

33. Similarly, he built the entrance to the Main Sanctuary using olivewood for the doorposts but these doorposts were four-sided.

34. അതിന്റെ കതകു രണ്ടും സരളമരംകൊണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഒരു കതകിന്നു രണ്ടു മടകൂപാളിയും മറ്റെ കതകിന്നു രണ്ടു മടകൂപാളിയും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

34. The doors were of cypress, split into two panels, each panel swinging separately.

35. അവന് അവയില് കെരൂബ്, ഈന്തപ്പന, വിടര്ന്ന പുഷ്പം എന്നിവയുടെ രൂപങ്ങളെ കൊത്തി രൂപങ്ങളുടെമേല് പൊന്നു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

35. These also were carved with cherubim, palm trees, and flowers, and plated with finely hammered gold leaf.

36. അവന് അകത്തെ പ്രാകാരം ചെത്തിയ കല്ലുകൊണ്ടു മൂന്നു വരിയും ദേവദാരുകൊണ്ടു ഒരു വരിയുമായിട്ടു പണിതു.

36. He built the inner court with three courses of dressed stones topped with a course of planed cedar timbers.

37. നാലാം ആണ്ടു സീവ് മാസത്തില് യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്നു അടിസ്ഥാനം ഇടുകയും പതിനൊന്നാം ആണ്ടു എട്ടാം മാസമായ ബൂല് മാസത്തില് ആലയം അതിന്റെ സകലഭാഗങ്ങളുമായി അതിന്റെ മാതൃകപ്രകാരമൊക്കെയും പണിതുതീര്ക്കുംകയും ചെയ്തു. അങ്ങനെ അവന് ഏഴാണ്ടുകൊണ്ടു അതു പണിതുതീര്ത്തു.

37. The foundation for GOD's Temple was laid in the fourth year in the month of Ziv.
