1. യഹോവയുടെ ആലയവും രാജധാനിയും മറ്റും തനിക്കു ഉണ്ടാക്കുവാന് മനസ്സും താല്പര്യവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നതൊക്കെയും ശലോമോന് പണിതു തീര്ന്നശേഷം

1. And when Salomon had finished the building of the house of the LORD and of the king's palace, and of all that his desire and lust was to make:

2. യഹോവ ഗിബെയോനില്വെച്ചു ശലോമോന്നു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായതുപോലെ രണ്ടാം പ്രാവശ്യവും അവന്നു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി.

2. the LORD appeared unto him again, as he appeared to him at Gabaon.

3. യഹോവ അവനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതെന്തെന്നാല്നീ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ കഴിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയും യാചനയും ഞാന് കേട്ടു; നീ പണിതിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ആലയത്തെ എന്റെ നാമം അതില് എന്നേക്കും സ്ഥാപിപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാന് വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ കണ്ണും ഹൃദയവും എല്ലായ്പോഴും അവിടെ ഇരിക്കും.

3. And the LORD said unto him: I have heard thy prayer and intercession that thou madest before me, and have hallowed this house which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

4. ഞാന് നിന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതൊക്കെയും ചെയ്വാന് തക്കവണ്ണം എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ഹൃദയനിര്മ്മലതയോടും പരമാര്ത്ഥതയോടും കൂടെ നിന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദ് നടന്നതുപോലെ നടക്കുകയും എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളും

4. And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in pureness of heart and plainness, to do all that I have commanded thee, and shalt keep mine ordinances and customs:

5. വിധികളും പ്രമാണിക്കയും ചെയ്താല് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ രാജാസനത്തില് ഇരിപ്പാന് ഒരു പുരുഷന് നിനക്കു ഇല്ലാതെപോകയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് നിന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ യിസ്രായേലിലുള്ള നിന്റെ രാജത്വത്തിന്റെ സിംഹാസനം ഞാന് എന്നേക്കും സ്ഥിരമാക്കും.

5. then I will stablish the seat of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father saying: Thou shalt not be without one or other upon the seat of Israel.

6. നിങ്ങളോ നിങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രന്മാരോ എന്നെ വിട്ടുമാറി നിങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പില് വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ കല്പനകളും ചട്ടങ്ങളും പ്രമാണിക്കാതെ ചെന്നു അന്യദൈവങ്ങളെ സേവിച്ചു നമസ്കരിച്ചാല്

6. But and if ye and your children shall turn away from after me, and shall not keep mine ordinances which I have set before you, but shall go and serve other gods and bow yourselves unto them:

7. ഞാന് യിസ്രായേലിന്നു കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന ദേശത്തുനിന്നു അവരെ പറിച്ചുകളയും; എന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു വേണ്ടി ഞാന് വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ആലയവും ഞാന് എന്റെ മുമ്പില്നിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളയും; യിസ്രായേല് സകലജാതികളുടെയും ഇടയില് പഴഞ്ചൊല്ലും പരിഹാസവും ആയിരിക്കും.

7. then I will weed Israel out of the land which I have given them. And this house which I have hallowed for my name, I will put out of my sight. And Israel shall be a proverb and a fable unto all nations.

8. ഈ ആലയം എത്ര ഉന്നതമായിരുന്നാലും കടന്നുപോകുന്ന ഏവനും അതിനെ കണ്ടു സ്തംഭിച്ചു ചൂളകുത്തിയഹോവ ഈ ദേശത്തിന്നും ഈ ആലയത്തിന്നും ഇങ്ങനെ വരുത്തിയതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിക്കും.
മത്തായി 23:38

8. And this house which is so high, all that pass by it shall be astonied and shall hiss and say: why hath the LORD dealt on this manner with this land and with this house?

9. അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു നിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന തങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയും അന്യദൈവങ്ങളോടു ചേര്ന്നു അവയെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു സേവിക്കയും ചെയ്കകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ ഈ അനര്ത്ഥം ഒക്കെയും അവര്ക്കും വരുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അതിന്നു ഉത്തരം പറയും.

9. And it shall be answered then, because they forsook the LORD their God which brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods and have stooped unto him and served them: therefore hath the LORD brought upon them all this evil.

10. ശലോമോന് യഹോവയുടെ ആലയം, രാജധാനി എന്നീ രണ്ടു ഭവനവും ഇരുപതു സംവത്സരംകൊണ്ടു പണിതശേഷം

10. Then at the end of twenty year in which Salomon had built the two houses, that is to wete, the house of the LORD and the king's palace:

11. സോര്രാജാവായ ഹീരാം ശലോമോന്നു അവന്റെ ഇഷ്ടംപോലെ ഒക്കെയും ദേവദാരുവും സരളമരവും സ്വര്ണ്ണവും കൊടുത്തിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു ശലോമോന് രാജാവു ഹീരാമിന്നു ഗലീലദേശത്തു ഇരുപതു പട്ടണം കൊടുത്തു.

11. because Hiram the king of Tyre had supported him with Cedar, fir and gold, as much as he desired: therefore Salomon gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.

12. ശലോമോന് ഹീരാമിന്നു കൊടുത്ത പട്ടണങ്ങളെ കാണേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന് സോരില്നിന്നു വന്നു; എന്നാല് അവ അവന്നു ബോധിച്ചില്ല, സഹോദരാ,

12. And when Hiram was come from Tyre to see the cities which Salomon had given him, they pleased him not.

13. നീ എനിക്കു തന്ന ഈ പട്ടണങ്ങള് എന്തു എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു. അവേക്കു ഇന്നുവരെയും കാബൂല്ദേശം എന്നു പേരായിരിക്കുന്നു.

13. Wherefore he said: what cities are these which thou hast given me, my brother? and he called them the land of Cabull unto this day.

14. ഹീരാമോ രാജാവിന്നു നൂറ്റിരുപതു താലന്തു പൊന്നു കൊടുത്തയച്ചു.

14. This Hiram had sent the king six score hundredweight of gold.

15. ശലോമോന് രാജാവു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയം, അരമന, മില്ലോ, യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ മതില്, ഹാസോര്, മെഗിദ്ദോ, ഗേസെര് എന്നിവ പണിയേണ്ടതിന്നു ഊഴിയവേല ചെയ്യിച്ച വിവരം

15. And this is the sum of the tribute, which king Salomon raised to build the house of the LORD and his own house, and Mello and the walls of Jerusalem, and Hezer, and Magedo, and Gazer.

16. മിസ്രയീംരാജാവായ ഫറവോന് ചെന്നു, ഗേസെര് പിടിച്ചു തീവെച്ചു ചുട്ടുകളഞ്ഞു, അതില് പാര്ത്തിരുന്ന കനാന്യരെ കൊന്നു, അതിനെ ശലോമോന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ തന്റെ മകള്ക്കു സ്ത്രീധനമായി കൊടുത്തിരുന്നു.

16. For Pharao king of Egypt went up and took Gazer and burnt it with fire, and slew the Cananites that dwelt in the city, and gave it for a present unto his daughter that was Salomon's wife.

17. അങ്ങനെ ശലോമോന് ഗേസെരും

17. And Salomon built Gazer and Beth Horon the nether:

18. താഴത്തെ ബേത്ത്-ഹോരോനും ബാലാത്തും ദേശത്തിലെ മരുഭൂമിയിലുള്ള

18. and Baalath and Thamar in the wilderness that is in the land:

19. തദ്മോരും ശലോമോന്നു ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന സകലസംഭാരനഗരങ്ങളും രഥനഗരങ്ങളും കുതിരച്ചേവകര്ക്കുംള്ള പട്ടണങ്ങളും ശലോമോന് യെരൂശലേമിലും ലെബാനോനിലും തന്റെ രാജ്യത്തില് എല്ലാടവും പണിവാന് ആഗ്രഹിച്ചതൊക്കെയും പണിതു

19. and all the store cities that Salomon had, and cities for his chariots, and cities for his horsemen and all that his lust was to build in Jerusalem and Libanon and in all the land of his kingdom.

20. അമോര്യര്, ഹിത്യര്, പെരിസ്യര്, ഹിവ്യര്, യെബൂസ്യര് എന്നിങ്ങനെ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളില് ഉള്പ്പെടാത്ത ശേഷിപ്പുള്ള സകലജാതിയെയും

20. And all the people that were left of the Amorites, Hethites, Pherethites, Hevites and Jebusites, which were not of the children of Israel,

21. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള്ക്കു നിര്മ്മൂലമാക്കുവാന് കഴിയാതെ പിന്നീടും ദേശത്തു ശേഷിച്ചിരുന്ന അവരുടെ മക്കളെയും ശലോമോന് ഊഴിയവേലക്കാരാക്കി; അവര് ഇന്നുവരെ അങ്ങനെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

21. the children of the said nations that were left in the land, because the children of Israel were not able to destroy them, did Salomon make tributaries unto this day.

22. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളില് നിന്നോ ശലോമോന് ആരെയും ദാസ്യവേലക്കാക്കിയില്ല; അവര് അവന്റെ യോദ്ധാക്കളും ഭൃത്യന്മാരും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും പടനായകന്മാരും അവന്റെ രഥങ്ങള്ക്കും കുതിരച്ചേവകര്ക്കും അധിപതിമാരും ആയിരുന്നു.

22. And of the children of Israel did Salomon make no bondmen. But they were men of war and his servants and his lords and Captains and rulers of his chariots and of his Horsemen.

23. അഞ്ഞൂറ്റമ്പതുപേര് ശലോമോന്റെ വേലയെടുത്ത ജനത്തിന്നു മേധാവികളായ മേലുദ്യോഗസ്ഥന്മാരായിരുന്നു.

23. And these many lords that oversaw the work had Salomon, five hundredth and fifty, which ruled the people that wrought in the work.

24. ഫറവോന്റെ മകള് ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തില്നിന്നു ശലോമോന് അവള്ക്കുവേണ്ടി പണിതിരുന്ന അരമനയില് പാര്പ്പാന് വന്നശേഷം അവന് മില്ലോ പണിതു.

24. And Pharao's daughter came up out of the city of David unto the house which Salomon had built for her. And after that he built Mello.

25. ശലോമോന് യഹോവേക്കു പണിതിരുന്ന യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേല് അവര് ആണ്ടില് മൂന്നു പ്രാവശ്യം ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളും സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളും അര്പ്പിച്ചു യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് ധൂപം കാട്ടും. ഇങ്ങനെ അവന് യഹോവയുടെ ആലയം തീര്ത്തു.

25. And thrice a year did Salomon offer burntofferings and peaceofferings upon the altar which he had built unto the LORD, to burn the fat thereon: which altar is before the LORD. And when king Salomon had made the house perfect,

26. ശലോമോന് രാജാവു എദോംദേശത്തു ചെങ്കടല്കരയില് ഏലോത്തിന്നു സമീപത്തുള്ള എസ്യോന് -ഗേബെരില്വെച്ചു കപ്പലുകള് പണിതു.

26. he made ships in Azion Gaber which is beside Eloth, on the brink of the red sea, in the land of Edom.

27. ആ കപ്പലുകളില് ശലോമോന്റെ ദാസന്മാരോടുകൂടെ ഹീരാം സമുദ്രപരിചയമുള്ള കപ്പല്ക്കാരായ തന്റെ ദാസന്മാരെ അയച്ചു.

27. And Hiram sent by ship also of his servants, that were shipmen and expert in the sea, with the servants of Salomon.

28. അവര് ഔഫീരിലേക്കു ചെന്നു അവിടെനിന്നു നാനൂറ്റിരുപതു താലന്തു പൊന്നു ശലോമോന് രാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

28. And they went to Ophir and fetched from thence gold, to the sum of four hundredth and twenty two talents, and brought it to Salomon.
