1. Then Job replied:

2. നീ ശക്തിയില്ലാത്തവന്നു എന്തു സഹായം ചെയ്തു? ബലമില്ലാത്ത ഭുജത്തെ എങ്ങനെ താങ്ങി?

2. 'How you have helped the powerless! How you have saved the person who has no strength!

3. ജ്ഞാനമില്ലാത്തവന്നു എന്താലോചന പറഞ്ഞു കൊടുത്തു? ജ്ഞാനം എത്ര ധാരാളം ഉപദേശിച്ചു?

3. How you have advised the one without wisdom, and abundantly revealed your insight!

4. ആരെയാകുന്നു നീ വാക്യം കേള്പ്പിച്ചതു? ആരുടെ ശ്വാസം നിന്നില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു;

4. To whom did you utter these words? And whose spirit has come forth from your mouth?

5. വെള്ളത്തിന്നും അതിലെ നിവാസികള്ക്കും കീഴെ പ്രേതങ്ങള് നൊന്തു നടുങ്ങുന്നു.

5. 'The dead tremble those beneath the waters and all that live in them.

6. പാതാളം അവന്റെ മുമ്പില് തുറന്നുകിടക്കുന്നു; നരകം മറയില്ലാതെയിരിക്കുന്നു.

6. The underworld is naked before God; the place of destruction lies uncovered.

7. ഉത്തരദിക്കിനെ അവന് ശൂന്യത്തിന്മേല് വിരിക്കുന്നു; ഭൂമിയെ നാസ്തിത്വത്തിന്മേല് തൂക്കുന്നു.

7. He spreads out the northern skies over empty space; he suspends the earth on nothing.

8. അവന് വെള്ളത്തെ മേഘങ്ങളില് കെട്ടിവെക്കുന്നു; അതു വഹിച്ചിട്ടു കാര്മുകില് കീറിപ്പോകുന്നതുമില്ല.

8. He locks the waters in his clouds, and the clouds do not burst with the weight of them.

9. തന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തിന്റെ ദര്ശനം അവന് മറെച്ചുവെക്കുന്നു; അതിന്മേല് തന്റെ മേഘം വിരിക്കുന്നു.

9. He conceals the face of the full moon, shrouding it with his clouds.

10. അവന് വെളിച്ചത്തിന്റെയും ഇരുട്ടിന്റെയും അറ്റത്തോളം വെള്ളത്തിന്മേല് ഒരു അതിര് വരെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

10. He marks out the horizon on the surface of the waters as a boundary between light and darkness.

11. ആകാശത്തിന്റെ തൂണുകള് കുലുങ്ങുന്നു; അവന്റെ തര്ജ്ജനത്താല് അവ ഭ്രമിച്ചുപോകുന്നു.

11. The pillars of the heavens tremble and are amazed at his rebuke.

12. അവന് തന്റെ ശക്തികൊണ്ടു സമുദ്രത്തെ ഇളക്കുന്നു; തന്റെ വിവേകംകൊണ്ടു രഹബിനെ തകര്ക്കുംന്നു.

12. By his power he stills the sea; by his wisdom he cut Rahab the great sea monster to pieces.

13. അവന്റെ ശ്വാസത്താല് ആകാശം ശോഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ കൈ വിദ്രുതസര്പ്പത്തെ കുത്തിത്തുളെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

13. By his breath the skies became fair; his hand pierced the fleeing serpent.

14. എന്നാല് ഇവ അവന്റെ വഴികളുടെ അറ്റങ്ങളത്രേ; നാം അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു ഒരു മന്ദസ്വരമേ കേട്ടിട്ടുള്ളു. അവന്റെ ബലത്തിന്റെ ഇടിമുഴക്കമോ ആര് ഗ്രഹിക്കും?

14. Indeed, these are but the outer fringes of his ways! How faint is the whisper we hear of him! But who can understand the thunder of his power?'
