1. എങ്കിലോ ഇയ്യോബേ, എന്റെ ഭാഷണം കേട്ടുകൊള്ക; എന്റെ സകലവാക്കുകളും ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകൊള്ക.

1. However, Job, please hear my speeches, and listen to all my words.

2. ഇതാ, ഞാന് ഇപ്പോള് എന്റെ വായ്തുറക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ വായില് എന്റെ നാവു സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.

2. Behold, now I have opened my mouth, my tongue has spoken in my mouth,

3. എന്റെ വചനങ്ങള് എന്റെ ഉള്ളിലെ നേര് ഉച്ചരിക്കും. എന്റെ അധരങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നതു അവ പരമാര്ത്ഥമായി പ്രസ്താവിക്കും.

3. my words shall be from my upright heart, and my lips will clearly speak knowledge.

4. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആത്മാവു എന്നെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു; സര്വ്വശക്തന്റെ ശ്വാസം എനിക്കു ജീവനെ തരുന്നു.

4. The Spirit of God made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.

5. നിനക്കു കഴിയുമെങ്കില് എന്നോടു പ്രതിവാദിക്ക; സന്നദ്ധനായി എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നിന്നുകൊള്ക.

5. If you can, answer me; set yourself in order before me, stand up.

6. ഇതാ, നിന്നെപ്പോലെ ഞാനും ദൈവത്തിന്നുള്ളവന് ; എന്നെയും മണ്ണുകൊണ്ടു നിര്മ്മിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

6. Behold, I am toward God even as you are; I also am formed out of the clay.

7. എന്റെ ഭീഷണി നിന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടുത്തുകയില്ല; എന്റെ ഘനം നിനക്കു ഭാരമായിരിക്കയുമില്ല.

7. Behold, my terror shall not make you afraid, and my burden shall not be heavy on you.

8. ഞാന് കേള്ക്കെ നീ പറഞ്ഞതും നിന്റെ വാക്കു ഞാന് കേട്ടതും എന്തെന്നാല്

8. Surely you have spoken in my ears, and I have heard the sound of your words.

9. ഞാന് ലംഘനം ഇല്ലാത്ത നിര്മ്മലന് ; ഞാന് നിര്ദ്ദോഷി; എന്നില് അകൃത്യവുമില്ല.

9. You said, I am pure, without transgression; I am innocent, and no iniquity is in me;

10. അവന് എന്റെ നേരെ വിരുദ്ധങ്ങളെ കണ്ടു പിടിക്കുന്നു; എന്നെ തനിക്കു ശത്രുവായി വിചാരിക്കുന്നു.

10. behold, He finds reasons to be against me, He counts me for His enemy;

11. അവന് എന്റെ കാലുകളെ ആമത്തില് ഇടുന്നു; എന്റെ പാതകളെ ഒക്കെയും സൂക്ഷിച്ചുനോക്കുന്നു.

11. He puts my feet in the stocks; He marks all my paths.

12. ഇതിന്നു ഞന് നിന്നോടു ഉത്തരം പറയാംഇതില് നീ നീതിമാന് അല്ല; ദൈവം മനുഷ്യനെക്കാള് വലിയവനല്ലോ.

12. Behold, in this you are not right; I will answer you, for God is greater than man.

13. നീ അവനോടു എന്തിന്നു വാദിക്കുന്നു? തന്റെ കാര്യങ്ങളില് ഒന്നിന്നും അവന് കാരണം പറയുന്നില്ലല്ലോ.

13. Why do you fight against Him? For He does not give account for any of His matters.

14. ഒന്നോ രണ്ടോ വട്ടം ദൈവം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; മനുഷ്യന് അതു കൂട്ടാക്കുന്നില്ലതാനും.

14. For God speaks once, yea, twice, but not one takes notice.

15. ഗാഢനിദ്ര മനുഷ്യര്ക്കുംണ്ടാകുമ്പോള്, അവര് ശയ്യമേല് നിദ്രകൊള്ളുമ്പോള്, സ്വപ്നത്തില്, രാത്രിദര്ശനത്തില് തന്നേ,

15. In a dream, a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men; while they slumber on the bed;

16. അവന് മനുഷ്യരുടെ ചെവി തുറക്കുന്നു; അവരോടുള്ള പ്രബോധനെക്കു മുദ്രയിടുന്നു.

16. then He opens the ear of men and seals their teaching,

17. മനുഷ്യനെ അവന്റെ ദുഷ്കര്മ്മത്തില്നിന്നു അകറ്റുവാനും പുരുഷനെ ഗര്വ്വത്തില്നിന്നു രക്ഷിപ്പാനും തന്നേ.

17. so that He may turn man from his act, that He might hide pride from man.

18. അവന് കുഴിയില്നിന്നു അവന്റെ പ്രാണനെയും വാളാല് നശിക്കാതവണ്ണം അവന്റെ ജീവനെയും കാക്കുന്നു.

18. He keeps back his soul from the Pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.

19. തന്റെ കിടക്കമേല് അവന് വേദനയാല് ശിക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു; അവന്റെ അസ്ഥികളില് ഇടവിടാതെ പോരാട്ടം ഉണ്ടു.

19. He is also chastened with pain on his bed, and enduring strife in his bones;

20. അതുകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ ജീവന് അപ്പവും അവന്റെ പ്രാണന് സ്വാദുഭോജനവും വെറുക്കുന്നു.

20. so that his life is sick of bread, and his soul desirable food.

21. അവന്റെ മാംസം ക്ഷയിച്ചു കാണ്മാനില്ലാതെയായിരിക്കുന്നു; കാണ്മാനില്ലാതിരുന്ന അവന്റെ അസ്ഥികള് പൊങ്ങിനിലക്കുന്നു.

21. His flesh wastes away, not seen; and his bones laid bare; they were not seen.

22. അവന്റെ പ്രാണന് ശവകൂഴിക്കും അവന്റെ ജീവന് നാശകന്മാര്ക്കും അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

22. Yea, his soul draws near to the Pit, and his life to the dealers of death.

23. മനുഷ്യനോടു അവന്റെ ധര്മ്മം അറിയിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ആയിരത്തില് ഒരുത്തനായി മദ്ധ്യസ്ഥനായോരു ദൂതന് അവന്നു വേണ്ടി ഉണ്ടെന്നുവരികില്

23. If there is a messenger for him, a mediator, one among a thousand, to declare for man his uprightness,

24. അവന് അവങ്കല് കൃപ വിചാരിച്ചുകുഴിയില് ഇറങ്ങാതവണ്ണം ഇവനെ രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ; ഞാന് ഒരു മറുവില കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറയും

24. then He is gracious to him and says, Deliver him from going down to the Pit; for I have found a ransom.

25. അപ്പോള് അവന്റെ ദേഹം യൌവനചൈതന്യത്താല് പുഷ്ടിവേക്കും; അവന് ബാല്യപ്രായത്തിലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞുവരും.

25. His flesh shall be fresher than in vigor; he shall return to the days of his youth;

26. അവന് ദൈവത്തോടു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കും; അവന് അവങ്കല് പ്രസാദിക്കും; തിരുമുഖത്തെ അവന് സന്തോഷത്തോടെ കാണും; അവന് മനുഷ്യന്നു അവന്റെ നീതിയെ പകരം കൊടുക്കും.

26. he shall pray to God, and He will be gracious to him; and he shall see His face with joy, for He will restore to man his righteousness.

27. അവന് മനുഷ്യരുടെ മുമ്പില് പാടി പറയുന്നതുഞാന് പാപം ചെയ്തു നേരായുള്ളതു മറിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; അതിന്നു എന്നോടു പകരം ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല.

27. He will observe to men, and say, I have sinned and perverted righteousness; and it was not equally repaid to me,

28. അവന് എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ കുഴിയില് ഇറങ്ങാതവണ്ണം രക്ഷിച്ചു; എന്റെ ജീവന് പ്രകാശത്തെ കണ്ടു സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു.

28. He has redeemed my soul from passing over into the Pit, and my life shall see the light.

29. ഇതാ, ദൈവം രണ്ടു മൂന്നു പ്രാവശ്യം ഇവയൊക്കെയും മനുഷ്യനോടു ചെയ്യുന്നു.

29. Lo, all these things God does two or three times with a man,

30. അവന്റെ പ്രാണനെ കുഴിയില്നിന്നു കരേറ്റേണ്ടതിന്നും ജീവന്റെ പ്രകാശംകൊണ്ടു അവനെ പ്രകാശിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും തന്നേ.

30. to bring back his soul from the Pit, to be lighted with the light of the living.

31. ഇയ്യോബേ, ശ്രദ്ധവെച്ചു കേള്ക്ക; മിണ്ടാതെയിരിക്ക; ഞാന് സംസാരിക്കാം.

31. Hear this, Job, listen to me; be silent and I will speak.

32. നിനക്കു ഉത്തരം പറവാനുണ്ടെങ്കില് പറക; സംസാരിക്ക; നിന്നെ നീതീകരിപ്പാന് ആകുന്നു എന്റെ താല്പര്യം.

32. If you have anything to say, answer me; speak, for I desire to justify you.

33. ഇല്ലെന്നുവരികില്, നീ എന്റെ വാക്കു കേള്ക്ക; മിണ്ടാതിരിക്ക; ഞാന് നിനക്കു ജ്ഞാനം ഉപദേശിച്ചുതരാം.

33. If not, listen to me; be silent, and I will teach you wisdom.
