1. എലീഹൂ പിന്നെയും പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്

1. Moreouer Elihu answered, and saide,

2. ജ്ഞാനികളേ, എന്റെ വചനം കേള്പ്പിന് ; വിദ്വാന്മാരേ, എനിക്കു ചെവിതരുവിന് .

2. Heare my wordes, ye wise men, and hearken vnto me, ye that haue knowledge.

3. അണ്ണാകൂ ആഹാരത്തെ രുചിനോക്കുന്നു; ചെവിയോ വചനങ്ങളെ ശോധന ചെയ്യുന്നു;

3. For the eare tryeth the words, as the mouth tasteth meate.

4. ന്യായമായുള്ളതു നമുക്കു തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കാം; നന്മയായുള്ളതു നമുക്കു തന്നേ ആലോചിച്ചറിയാം.

4. Let vs seeke iudgement among vs, and let vs knowe among our selues what is good.

5. ഞാന് നീതിമാന് , ദൈവം എന്റെ ന്യായം തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞു; എന്റെ ന്യായത്തിന്നെതിരെ ഞാന് ഭോഷകു പറയേണമോ?

5. For Iob hath saide, I am righteous, and God hath taken away my iudgement.

6. ലംഘനം ഇല്ലാഞ്ഞിട്ടും എന്റെ മുറിവു പൊറുക്കുന്നില്ല എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഇയ്യോബ് പറഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ.

6. Should I lye in my right? my wound of the arrowe is grieuous without my sinne.

7. ഇയ്യോബിനെപ്പോലെ ഒരാളുണ്ടോ? അവന് പരിഹാസത്തെ വെള്ളംപോലെ കുടിക്കുന്നു;

7. What man is like Iob, that drinketh scornfulnesse like water?

8. അവന് ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാരോടു കൂട്ടുകൂടുന്നു; ദുര്ജ്ജനങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു.

8. Which goeth in the companie of them that worke iniquitie, and walketh with wicked men?

9. ദൈവത്തോടു രഞ്ജനയായിരിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു മനുഷ്യന്നു പ്രയോജനമില്ലെന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.

9. For he hath saide, It profiteth a man nothing that he should walke with God.

10. അതുകൊണ്ടു വിവേകികളേ, കേട്ടുകൊള്വിന് ; ദൈവം ദുഷ്ടതയോ സര്വ്വശക്തന് നീതികേടോ ഒരിക്കലും ചെയ്കയില്ല.

10. Therefore hearken vnto me, ye men of wisedome, God forbid that wickednesse should be in God, and iniquitie in the Almightie.

11. അവന് മനുഷ്യന്നു അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു പകരം ചെയ്യും; ഔരോരുത്തന്നു അവനവന്റെ നടപ്പിന്നു തക്കവണ്ണം കൊടുക്കും.

11. For he will render vnto man according to his worke, and cause euery one to finde according to his way.

12. ദൈവം ദുഷ്ടത പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കയില്ല നിശ്ചയം; സര്വ്വശക്തന് ന്യായം മറിച്ചുകളകയുമില്ല.

12. And certainely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almightie peruert iudgement.

13. ഭൂമിയെ അവങ്കല് ഭരമേല്പിച്ചതാര്? ഭൂമണ്ഡലമാകെ സ്ഥാപിച്ചതാര്?

13. Whome hath he appointed ouer the earth beside him selfe? or who hath placed the whole worlde?

14. അവന് തന്റെ കാര്യത്തില് മാത്രം ദൃഷ്ടിവെച്ചെങ്കില് തന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെയും ശ്വാസത്തെയും മടക്കി എടുത്തെങ്കില്

14. If he set his heart vpon man, and gather vnto him selfe his spirit and his breath,

15. സകലജഡവും ഒരുപോലെ കഴിഞ്ഞുപോകും; മനുഷ്യന് പൊടിയിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിച്ചേരും.

15. All flesh shall perish together, and man shall returne vnto dust.

16. നിനക്കു വിവേകമുണ്ടെങ്കില് ഇതു കേട്ടുകൊള്ക; എന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകൊള്ക;

16. And if thou hast vnderstanding, heare this and hearken to the voyce of my wordes.

17. ന്യായത്തെ പകെക്കുന്നവന് ഭരിക്കുമോ? നീതിമാനും ബലവാനുമായവനെ നീ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കുമോ?

17. Shal he that hateth iudgement, gouerne? and wilt thou iudge him wicked that is most iust?

18. രാജാവിനോടുനീ വഷളന് എന്നും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരോടുനിങ്ങള് ദുഷ്ടന്മാര് എന്നും പറയുമോ?

18. Wilt thou say vnto a King, Thou art wicked? or to princes, Ye are vngodly?

19. അവന് പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെ പക്ഷം എടുക്കുന്നില്ല; ദരിദ്രനെക്കാള് ധനവാനെ ആദരിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല; അവരെല്ലാവരും തൃക്കൈയുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിയല്ലോ.

19. How much lesse to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, and regardeth not the rich, more then the poore? for they be all the worke of his handes.

20. പെട്ടെന്നു അര്ദ്ധരാത്രിയില് തന്നേ അവര് മരിക്കുന്നു; ജനം കുലുങ്ങി ഒഴിഞ്ഞു പോകുന്നു; കൈ തൊടാതെ ബലശാലികള് നീങ്ങിപ്പോകുന്നു.

20. They shall die suddenly, and the people shalbe troubled at midnight, and they shall passe foorth and take away the mightie without hand.

21. അവന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടി മനുഷ്യന്റെ വഴികളിന്മേല് ഇരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ നടപ്പു ഒക്കെയും അവന് കാണുന്നു.

21. For his eyes are vpon the wayes of man, and he seeth all his goings.

22. ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാര്ക്കും ഒളിച്ചുകൊള്ളേണ്ടതിന്നു അവിടെ ഇരുട്ടുമില്ല അന്ധതമസ്സുമില്ല.

22. There is no darkenesse nor shadowe of death, that the workers of iniquitie might be hid therein.

23. മനുഷ്യന് ദൈവസന്നിധിയില് ന്യായവിസ്താരത്തിന്നു ചെല്ലേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന് അവനില് അധികം ദൃഷ്ടിവെപ്പാന് ആവശ്യമില്ല.

23. For he will not lay on man so much, that he should enter into iudgement with God.

24. വിചാരണ ചെയ്യാതെ അവന് ബലശാലികളെ തകര്ത്തുകളയുന്നു; അവര്ക്കും പകരം വേറെ ആളുകളെ നിയമിക്കുന്നു.

24. He shall breake the mightie without seeking, and shall set vp other in their stead.

25. അങ്ങനെ അവന് അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ അറിയുന്നു; രാത്രിയില് അവരെ മറിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവര് തകര്ന്നുപോകുന്നു.

25. Therefore shall he declare their works: he shall turne the night, and they shalbe destroyed.

26. കാണികള് കൂടുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു അവന് അവരെ ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെപ്പോലെ ശിക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

26. He striketh them as wicked men in the places of the seers,

27. അവര്, എളിയവരുടെ നിലവിളി അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് എത്തുവാനും പീഡിതന്മാരുടെ നിലവിളി അവന് കേള്പ്പാനും തക്കവണ്ണം

27. Because they haue turned backe from him, and would not consider all his wayes:

28. അവനെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു പിന്മാറിക്കളകയും അവന്റെ വഴികളെ ഗണ്യമാക്കാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്തുവല്ലോ.

28. So that they haue caused the voyce of the poore to come vnto him, and he hath heard the cry of the afflicted.

29. വഷളനായ മനുഷ്യന് വാഴാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും ജനത്തെ കുടുക്കുവാന് ആരും ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും

29. And when he giueth quietnesse, who can make trouble? and when he hideth his face, who can beholde him, whether it be vpon nations, or vpon a man onely?

30. അവന് സ്വസ്ഥത നല്കിയാല് ആര് കുറ്റം വിധിക്കും? ഒരു ജാതിക്കായാലും ഒരാള്ക്കായാലും അവന് മുഖം മറെച്ചുകളഞ്ഞാല് ആര് അവനെ കാണും?

30. Because the hypocrite doeth reigne, and because the people are snared.

31. ഞാന് ശിക്ഷ സഹിച്ചു; ഞാന് ഇനി കുറ്റം ചെയ്കയില്ല;

31. Surely it appertaineth vnto God to say, I haue pardoned, I will not destroy.

32. ഞാന് കാണാത്തതു എന്നെ പഠിപ്പിക്കേണമേ; ഞാന് അന്യായം ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കില് ഇനി ചെയ്കയില്ല എന്നു ആരെങ്കിലും ദൈവത്തോടു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ടോ?

32. But if I see not, teach thou me: if I haue done wickedly, I will doe no more.

33. നീ മുഷിഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ടു അവന് നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടംപോലെ പകരം ചെയ്യേണമോ? ഞാനല്ല, നീ തന്നേ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കേണ്ടതല്ലോ; ആകയാല് നീ അറിയുന്നതു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചുകൊള്ക.

33. Wil he performe the thing through thee? for thou hast reproued it, because that thou hast chosen, and not I. now speake what thou knowest.

34. ഇയ്യോബ് അറിവില്ലാതെ സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ വാക്കുകളിലും ജ്ഞാനമില്ല എന്നു വിവേകമുള്ള പുരുഷന്മാരും

34. Let men of vnderstanding tell me, and let a wise man hearken vnto me.

35. എന്റെ വാക്കു കേള്ക്കുന്ന ഏതു ജ്ഞാനിയും എന്നോടു പറയും.

35. Iob hath not spoken of knowledge, neyther were his wordes according to wisedome.

36. ഇയ്യോബ് ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെപ്പോലെ പ്രതിവാദിക്കകൊണ്ടു അവനെ ആദിയോടന്തം പരിശോധിച്ചാല് കൊള്ളാം.

36. I desire that Iob may be tryed, vnto the ende touching the answeres for wicked men.

37. അവന് തന്റെ പാപത്തോടു ദ്രോഹം ചേര്ക്കുംന്നു; അവന് നമ്മുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ കൈ കൊട്ടുന്നു; ദൈവത്തിന്നു വിരോധമായി വാക്കു വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

37. For he addeth rebellion vnto his sinne: he clappeth his handes among vs, and multiplieth his wordes against God.
