1. ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീര്ത്തനം.

1. A song of David. My soul, praise the Lord! Every part of me, praise his holy name!

2. എന് മനമേ, യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തുക; എന്റെ സര്വ്വാന്തരംഗവുമേ, അവന്റെ വിശുദ്ധനാമത്തെ വാഴ്ത്തുക.

2. My soul, praise the Lord and never forget how kind he is!

3. എന് മനമേ, യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തുക; അവന്റെ ഉപകാരങ്ങള് ഒന്നും മറക്കരുതു.

3. He forgives all our sins and heals all our sicknesses.

4. അവന് നിന്റെ അകൃത്യം ഒക്കെയും മോചിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ സകലരോഗങ്ങളെയും സൌഖ്യമാക്കുന്നു;

4. He saves us from the grave, and he gives us love and compassion.

5. അവന് നിന്റെ ജീവനെ നാശത്തില്നിന്നു വീണ്ടെടുക്കുന്നു; അവന് ദയയും കരുണയും നിന്നെ അണിയിക്കുന്നു.

5. He gives us plenty of good things. He makes us young again, like an eagle that grows new feathers.

6. നിന്റെ യൌവനം കഴുകനെപ്പോലെ പുതുകിവരത്തക്കവണ്ണം അവന് നിന്റെ വായക്കു നന്മകൊണ്ടു തൃപ്തിവരുത്തുന്നു.

6. The Lord does what is fair. He brings justice to all who have been hurt by others.

7. യഹോവ സകലപീഡിതന്മാര്ക്കും വേണ്ടി നീതിയും ന്യായവും നടത്തുന്നു.

7. He taught his laws to Moses. He let Israel see the powerful things he can do.

8. അവന് തന്റെ വഴികളെ മോശെയെയും തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളെയും അറിയിച്ചു.

8. The Lord is kind and merciful. He is patient and full of love.

9. യഹോവ കരുണയും കൃപയും നിറഞ്ഞവന് ആകുന്നു; ദീര്ഘക്ഷമയും മഹാദയയും ഉള്ളവന് തന്നേ.

9. He does not always criticize. He does not stay angry with us forever.

10. അവന് എല്ലായ്പോഴും ഭര്ത്സിക്കയില്ല; എന്നേക്കും കോപം സംഗ്രഹിക്കയുമില്ല.

10. We sinned against him, but he didn't give us the punishment we deserved.

11. അവന് നമ്മുടെ പാപങ്ങള്ക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം നമ്മോടു ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല; നമ്മുടെ അകൃത്യങ്ങള്ക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം നമ്മോടു പകരം ചെയ്യുന്നതുമില്ല.

11. His love for his followers is as high above us as heaven is above the earth.

12. ആകാശം ഭൂമിക്കുമീതെ ഉയര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ അവന്റെ ദയ അവന്റെ ഭക്തന്മാരോടു വലുതായിരിക്കുന്നു.

12. And he has taken our sins as far away from us as the east is from the west.

13. ഉദയം അസ്തമയത്തോടു അകന്നിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ അവന് നമ്മുടെ ലംഘനങ്ങളെ നമ്മോടു അകറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

13. The Lord is as kind to his followers as a father is to his children.

14. അപ്പന്നു മക്കളോടു കരുണ തോന്നുന്നതുപോലെ യഹോവേക്കു തന്റെ ഭക്തന്മാരോടു കരുണ തോന്നുന്നു.

14. He knows all about us. He knows we are made from dust.

15. അവന് നമ്മുടെ പ്രകൃതി അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ; നാം പൊടി എന്നു അവന് ഔര്ക്കുംന്നു.

15. He knows our lives are short, that they are like grass. He knows we are like a little wildflower that grows so quickly,

16. മനുഷ്യന്റെ ആയുസ്സു പുല്ലുപോലെയാകുന്നു; വയലിലെ പൂപോലെ അവന് പൂക്കുന്നു.

16. but when the hot wind blows, it dies. Soon, you cannot even see where the flower was.

17. കാറ്റു അതിന്മേല് അടിക്കുമ്പോള് അതു ഇല്ലാതെപോകുന്നു; അതിന്റെ സ്ഥലം പിന്നെ അതിനെ അറികയുമില്ല.

17. But the Lord has always loved his followers, and he will continue to love them forever and ever! He will be good to all their descendants,

18. യഹോവയുടെ ദയയോ എന്നും എന്നേക്കും അവന്റെ ഭക്തന്മാര്ക്കും അവന്റെ നീതി മക്കളുടെ മക്കള്ക്കും ഉണ്ടാകും.

18. to those who are faithful to his agreement and who remember to obey his commands.

19. അവന്റെ നിയമത്തെ പ്രാണിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും അവന്റെ കല്പനകളെ ഔര്ത്തു ആചരിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും തന്നേ.

19. The Lord set his throne up in heaven, and he rules over everything.

20. യഹോവ തന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തെ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് സ്ഥാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ രാജത്വം സകലത്തെയും ഭരിക്കുന്നു.

20. Angels, praise the Lord! You angels are the powerful soldiers who obey his commands. You listen to him and obey his commands.

21. അവന്റെ വചനത്തിന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേട്ടു അവന്റെ ആജ്ഞ അനുസരിക്കുന്ന വീരന്മാരായി അവന്റെ ദൂതന്മാരായുള്ളോരേ, യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തുവിന് .

21. Praise the Lord, all his armies. You are his servants, and you do what he wants.

22. അവന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ചെയ്യുന്ന ശുശ്രൂഷക്കാരായി അവന്റെ സകലസൈന്യങ്ങളുമായുള്ളോരേ, യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തുവിന് ;

22. Everything the Lord has made should praise him throughout the world that he rules! My soul, praise the Lord!
