3. Yahweh, mount a guard over my mouth, a guard at the door of my lips.

4. യഹോവേ, എന്റെ വായക്കു ഒരു കാവല് നിര്ത്തി, എന്റെ അധരദ്വാരം കാക്കേണമേ.

4. Check any impulse to speak evil, to share the foul deeds of evil-doers. I shall not sample their delights!

5. ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാരോടുകൂടെ ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തികളില് ഇടപെടുവാന് എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ ദുഷ്കാര്യത്തിന്നു ചായ്ക്കരുതേ; അവരുടെ സ്വാദുഭോജനം ഞാന് കഴിക്കയുമരുതേ.

5. May the upright correct me with a friend's rebuke; but the wicked shall never anoint my head with oil, for that would make me party to their crimes.

7. അവരുടെ ന്യായാധിപന്മാരെ പാറമേല് നിന്നു തള്ളിയിടും; എന്റെ വാക്കുകള് ഇമ്പമുള്ളവയാകയാല് അവര് അവയെ കേള്ക്കും.

7. 'Like a shattered millstone on the ground our bones are scattered at the mouth of Sheol.'

8. നിലം ഉഴുതു മറിച്ചിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ഞങ്ങളുടെ അസ്ഥികള് പാതാളത്തിന്റെ വാതില്ക്കല് ചിതറിക്കിടക്കുന്നു.

8. To you, Yahweh, I turn my eyes, in you I take refuge, do not leave me unprotected.

9. കര്ത്താവായ യഹോവേ, എന്റെ കണ്ണു നിങ്കലേക്കു ആകുന്നു; ഞാന് നിന്നെ ശരണമാക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ തൂകിക്കളയരുതേ.

9. Save me from the traps that are set for me, the snares of evil-doers.

10. അവര് എനിക്കു വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന കണിയിലും ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാരുടെ കുടുക്കുകളിലും അകപ്പെടാതവണ്ണം എന്നെ കാക്കേണമേ.
