1. യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിപ്പിന് . യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിപ്പിന് ; നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു കീര്ത്തനം പാടുന്നതു നല്ലതു; അതു മനോഹരവും സ്തുതി ഉചിതവും തന്നേ.

1. Praise the Lord because he is good. Sing praises to our God. It is good and pleasant to praise him.

2. യഹോവ യെരൂശലേമിനെ പണിയുന്നു; അവന് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ഭ്രഷ്ടന്മാരെ കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്ക്കുംന്നു.

2. The Lord rebuilds Jerusalem. He brings back the Israelites who were taken as prisoners.

3. മനംതകര്ന്നവരെ അവന് സൌഖ്യമാക്കുകയും അവരുടെ മുറിവുകളെ കെട്ടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

3. He heals their broken hearts and bandages their wounds.

4. അവന് നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണം നോക്കുന്നു; അവേക്കു ഒക്കെയും പേര് വിളിക്കുന്നു.

4. He counts the stars and knows each of them by name.

5. നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവു വലിയവനും ശക്തിയേറിയവനും ആകുന്നു. അവന്റെ വിവേകത്തിന്നു അന്തമില്ല.

5. Our Lord is great, and he is very powerful. There is no limit to what he knows.

6. യഹോവ താഴ്മയുള്ളവനെ ഉയര്ത്തുന്നു; അവന് ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെ നിലത്തോളം താഴ്ത്തുന്നു.

6. The Lord supports the humble, but he shames the wicked.

7. സ്തോത്രത്തോടെ യഹോവേക്കു പാടുവിന് ; കിന്നരത്തോടെ നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു കീര്ത്തനം ചെയ്വിന് ;

7. Give thanks to the Lord. Praise our God with harps.

8. അവന് ആകാശത്തെ മേഘംകൊണ്ടു മൂടുന്നു ഭൂമിക്കായി മഴ ഒരുക്കുന്നു; അവന് പര്വ്വതങ്ങളില് പുല്ലു മുളപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

8. He fills the sky with clouds. He sends rain to the earth. He makes the grass grow on the mountains.

9. അവന് മൃഗങ്ങള്ക്കും കരയുന്ന കാക്കകൂഞ്ഞുങ്ങള്ക്കും അതതിന്റെ ആഹാരം കൊടുക്കുന്നു.

9. He gives food to the animals. He feeds the young birds.

10. അശ്വബലത്തില് അവന്നു ഇഷ്ടം തോന്നുന്നില്ല; പുരുഷന്റെ ഊരുക്കളില് പ്രസാദിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

10. War horses and powerful soldiers are not what he cares about.

11. തന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടുകയും തന്റെ ദയയില് പ്രത്യാശ വെക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവരില് യഹോവ പ്രസാദിക്കുന്നു.

11. The Lord enjoys people who worship him and trust in his faithful love.

12. യെരൂശലേമേ, യഹോവയെ പുകഴ്ത്തുക; സീയോനേ, നിന്റെ ദൈവത്തെ സ്തുതിക്ക;

12. Jerusalem, praise the Lord! Zion, praise your God!

13. അവന് നിന്റെ വാതിലുകളുടെ ഔടാമ്പലുകളെ ഉറപ്പിച്ചു നിന്റെ അകത്തു നിന്റെ മക്കളെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

13. He makes your gates strong, and he blesses the people in your city.

14. അവന് നിന്റെ ദേശത്തു സമാധാനം വരുത്തുന്നു; വിശേഷമായ കോതമ്പുകൊണ്ടു നിനക്കു തൃപ്തിവരുത്തുന്നു.

14. He brought peace to your country, so you have plenty of grain for food.

15. അവന് തന്റെ ആജ്ഞ ഭൂമിയിലേക്കു അയക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ വചനം അതിവേഗം ഔടുന്നു.

15. He gives a command to the earth, and it quickly obeys.

16. അവന് പഞ്ഞിപോലെ മഞ്ഞു പെയ്യിക്കുന്നു; ചാരംപോലെ നീഹാരം വിതറുന്നു.

16. He makes the snow fall until the ground is as white as wool. He makes sleet blow through the air like dust.

17. അവന് നീര്ക്കട്ട കഷണംകഷണമായി എറിയുന്നു; അവന്റെ കുളിര് സഹിച്ചു നിലക്കുന്നവനാര്?

17. He makes hail fall like rocks from the sky. No one can stand the cold he sends.

18. അവന് തന്റെ വചനം അയച്ചു അവയെ ഉരുക്കുന്നു; കാറ്റു അടിപ്പിച്ചു വെള്ളത്തെ ഒഴുക്കുന്നു.

18. Then he gives another command, and warm air begins to blow. The ice melts, and water begins to flow.

19. അവന് യാക്കോബിന്നു തന്റെ വചനവും യിസ്രായേലിന്നു തന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളും വിധികളും വെളിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു.

19. He gave his commands to Jacob. He gave his laws and rules to Israel.

20. അങ്ങനെ യാതൊരു ജാതിക്കും അവന് ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല; അവന്റെ വിധികളെ അവര് അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടുമില്ല.

20. He did not do this for any other nation. He did not teach his laws to other people. Praise the Lord!
