1. യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിപ്പിന് . യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിപ്പിന് ; നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു കീര്ത്തനം പാടുന്നതു നല്ലതു; അതു മനോഹരവും സ്തുതി ഉചിതവും തന്നേ.

1. Praise the LORD, for it is good to sing praises to our God! Yes, praise is pleasant and appropriate!

2. യഹോവ യെരൂശലേമിനെ പണിയുന്നു; അവന് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ഭ്രഷ്ടന്മാരെ കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്ക്കുംന്നു.

2. The LORD rebuilds Jerusalem, and gathers the exiles of Israel.

3. മനംതകര്ന്നവരെ അവന് സൌഖ്യമാക്കുകയും അവരുടെ മുറിവുകളെ കെട്ടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

3. He heals the brokenhearted, and bandages their wounds.

4. അവന് നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണം നോക്കുന്നു; അവേക്കു ഒക്കെയും പേര് വിളിക്കുന്നു.

4. He counts the number of the stars; he names all of them.

5. നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവു വലിയവനും ശക്തിയേറിയവനും ആകുന്നു. അവന്റെ വിവേകത്തിന്നു അന്തമില്ല.

5. Our Lord is great and has awesome power; there is no limit to his wisdom.

6. യഹോവ താഴ്മയുള്ളവനെ ഉയര്ത്തുന്നു; അവന് ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെ നിലത്തോളം താഴ്ത്തുന്നു.

6. The LORD lifts up the oppressed, but knocks the wicked to the ground.

7. സ്തോത്രത്തോടെ യഹോവേക്കു പാടുവിന് ; കിന്നരത്തോടെ നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു കീര്ത്തനം ചെയ്വിന് ;

7. Offer to the LORD a song of thanks! Sing praises to our God to the accompaniment of a harp!

8. അവന് ആകാശത്തെ മേഘംകൊണ്ടു മൂടുന്നു ഭൂമിക്കായി മഴ ഒരുക്കുന്നു; അവന് പര്വ്വതങ്ങളില് പുല്ലു മുളപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

8. He covers the sky with clouds, provides the earth with rain, and causes grass to grow on the hillsides.

9. അവന് മൃഗങ്ങള്ക്കും കരയുന്ന കാക്കകൂഞ്ഞുങ്ങള്ക്കും അതതിന്റെ ആഹാരം കൊടുക്കുന്നു.

9. He gives food to the animals, and to the young ravens when they chirp.

10. അശ്വബലത്തില് അവന്നു ഇഷ്ടം തോന്നുന്നില്ല; പുരുഷന്റെ ഊരുക്കളില് പ്രസാദിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

10. He is not enamored with the strength of a horse, nor is he impressed by the warrior's strong legs.

11. തന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടുകയും തന്റെ ദയയില് പ്രത്യാശ വെക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവരില് യഹോവ പ്രസാദിക്കുന്നു.

11. The LORD takes delight in his faithful followers, and in those who wait for his loyal love.

12. യെരൂശലേമേ, യഹോവയെ പുകഴ്ത്തുക; സീയോനേ, നിന്റെ ദൈവത്തെ സ്തുതിക്ക;

12. Extol the LORD, O Jerusalem! Praise your God, O Zion!

13. അവന് നിന്റെ വാതിലുകളുടെ ഔടാമ്പലുകളെ ഉറപ്പിച്ചു നിന്റെ അകത്തു നിന്റെ മക്കളെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

13. For he makes the bars of your gates strong. He blesses your children within you.

14. അവന് നിന്റെ ദേശത്തു സമാധാനം വരുത്തുന്നു; വിശേഷമായ കോതമ്പുകൊണ്ടു നിനക്കു തൃപ്തിവരുത്തുന്നു.

14. He brings peace to your territory. He abundantly provides for you the best grain.

15. അവന് തന്റെ ആജ്ഞ ഭൂമിയിലേക്കു അയക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ വചനം അതിവേഗം ഔടുന്നു.

15. He sends his command through the earth; swiftly his order reaches its destination.

16. അവന് പഞ്ഞിപോലെ മഞ്ഞു പെയ്യിക്കുന്നു; ചാരംപോലെ നീഹാരം വിതറുന്നു.

16. He sends the snow that is white like wool; he spreads the frost that is white like ashes.

17. അവന് നീര്ക്കട്ട കഷണംകഷണമായി എറിയുന്നു; അവന്റെ കുളിര് സഹിച്ചു നിലക്കുന്നവനാര്?

17. He throws his hailstones like crumbs. Who can withstand the cold wind he sends?

18. അവന് തന്റെ വചനം അയച്ചു അവയെ ഉരുക്കുന്നു; കാറ്റു അടിപ്പിച്ചു വെള്ളത്തെ ഒഴുക്കുന്നു.

18. He then orders it all to melt; he breathes on it, and the water flows.

19. അവന് യാക്കോബിന്നു തന്റെ വചനവും യിസ്രായേലിന്നു തന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളും വിധികളും വെളിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു.

19. He proclaims his word to Jacob, his statutes and regulations to Israel.

20. അങ്ങനെ യാതൊരു ജാതിക്കും അവന് ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല; അവന്റെ വിധികളെ അവര് അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടുമില്ല.

20. He has not done so with any other nation; they are not aware of his regulations. Praise the LORD!
