1. യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിപ്പിന് . യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിപ്പിന് ; നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു കീര്ത്തനം പാടുന്നതു നല്ലതു; അതു മനോഹരവും സ്തുതി ഉചിതവും തന്നേ.

1. Hallelujah! I How good to celebrate our God in song; how sweet to give fitting praise.

2. യഹോവ യെരൂശലേമിനെ പണിയുന്നു; അവന് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ഭ്രഷ്ടന്മാരെ കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്ക്കുംന്നു.

2. The LORD rebuilds Jerusalem, gathers the dispersed of Israel,

3. മനംതകര്ന്നവരെ അവന് സൌഖ്യമാക്കുകയും അവരുടെ മുറിവുകളെ കെട്ടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

3. Heals the brokenhearted, binds up their wounds,

4. അവന് നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണം നോക്കുന്നു; അവേക്കു ഒക്കെയും പേര് വിളിക്കുന്നു.

4. Numbers all the stars, calls each of them by name.

5. നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവു വലിയവനും ശക്തിയേറിയവനും ആകുന്നു. അവന്റെ വിവേകത്തിന്നു അന്തമില്ല.

5. Great is our Lord, vast in power, with wisdom beyond measure.

6. യഹോവ താഴ്മയുള്ളവനെ ഉയര്ത്തുന്നു; അവന് ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെ നിലത്തോളം താഴ്ത്തുന്നു.

6. The LORD sustains the poor, but casts the wicked to the ground.

7. സ്തോത്രത്തോടെ യഹോവേക്കു പാടുവിന് ; കിന്നരത്തോടെ നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു കീര്ത്തനം ചെയ്വിന് ;

7. Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; with the lyre celebrate our God,

8. അവന് ആകാശത്തെ മേഘംകൊണ്ടു മൂടുന്നു ഭൂമിക്കായി മഴ ഒരുക്കുന്നു; അവന് പര്വ്വതങ്ങളില് പുല്ലു മുളപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

8. Who covers the heavens with clouds, provides rain for the earth, makes grass sprout on the mountains,

9. അവന് മൃഗങ്ങള്ക്കും കരയുന്ന കാക്കകൂഞ്ഞുങ്ങള്ക്കും അതതിന്റെ ആഹാരം കൊടുക്കുന്നു.

9. Who gives animals their food and ravens what they cry for.

10. അശ്വബലത്തില് അവന്നു ഇഷ്ടം തോന്നുന്നില്ല; പുരുഷന്റെ ഊരുക്കളില് പ്രസാദിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

10. God takes no delight in the strength of horses, no pleasure in the runner's stride.

11. തന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടുകയും തന്റെ ദയയില് പ്രത്യാശ വെക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവരില് യഹോവ പ്രസാദിക്കുന്നു.

11. Rather the LORD takes pleasure in the devout, those who await his faithful care.

12. യെരൂശലേമേ, യഹോവയെ പുകഴ്ത്തുക; സീയോനേ, നിന്റെ ദൈവത്തെ സ്തുതിക്ക;

12. Glorify the LORD, Jerusalem; Zion, offer praise to your God,

13. അവന് നിന്റെ വാതിലുകളുടെ ഔടാമ്പലുകളെ ഉറപ്പിച്ചു നിന്റെ അകത്തു നിന്റെ മക്കളെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

13. Who has strengthened the bars of your gates, blessed your children within you,

14. അവന് നിന്റെ ദേശത്തു സമാധാനം വരുത്തുന്നു; വിശേഷമായ കോതമ്പുകൊണ്ടു നിനക്കു തൃപ്തിവരുത്തുന്നു.

14. Brought peace to your borders, and filled you with finest wheat.

15. അവന് തന്റെ ആജ്ഞ ഭൂമിയിലേക്കു അയക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ വചനം അതിവേഗം ഔടുന്നു.

15. The LORD sends a command to earth; his word runs swiftly!

16. അവന് പഞ്ഞിപോലെ മഞ്ഞു പെയ്യിക്കുന്നു; ചാരംപോലെ നീഹാരം വിതറുന്നു.

16. Thus snow is spread like wool, frost is scattered like ash,

17. അവന് നീര്ക്കട്ട കഷണംകഷണമായി എറിയുന്നു; അവന്റെ കുളിര് സഹിച്ചു നിലക്കുന്നവനാര്?

17. Hail is dispersed like crumbs; before such cold the waters freeze.

18. അവന് തന്റെ വചനം അയച്ചു അവയെ ഉരുക്കുന്നു; കാറ്റു അടിപ്പിച്ചു വെള്ളത്തെ ഒഴുക്കുന്നു.

19. The LORD also proclaims his word to Jacob, decrees and laws to Israel.

20. അങ്ങനെ യാതൊരു ജാതിക്കും അവന് ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല; അവന്റെ വിധികളെ അവര് അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടുമില്ല.
