1. ഞാന് യഹോവയെ എല്ലാകാലത്തും വാഴ്ത്തും; അവന്റെ സ്തുതി എപ്പോഴും എന്റെ നാവിന്മേല് ഇരിക്കും.

1. A song of David when he pretended to be crazy so that Abimelech would send him away, which he did. I will praise the Lord at all times. I will never stop singing his praises.

2. Humble people, listen and be happy, while I brag about the Lord.

3. Praise the Lord with me. Let us honor his name.

4. I went to the Lord for help, and he listened. He saved me from all that I fear.

5. Look to the Lord for help. You will be accepted. Don't be ashamed.

6. ഈ എളിയവന് നിലവിളിച്ചു; യഹോവ കേട്ടു; അവന്റെ സകലകഷ്ടങ്ങളില്നിന്നും അവനെ രക്ഷിച്ചു.

6. This poor man called to the Lord for help, and he heard me. He saved me from all my troubles.

7. യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതന് അവന്റെ ഭക്തന്മാരുടെ ചുറ്റും പാളയമിറങ്ങി അവരെ വിടുവിക്കുന്നു.

7. The Lord's angel builds a camp around his followers, and he protects them.

8. Give the Lord a chance to show you how good he is. What blessings there are for those who depend on him!

9. യഹോവയുടെ വിശുദ്ധന്മാരേ, അവനെ ഭയപ്പെടുവിന് ; അവന്റെ ഭക്തന്മാര്ക്കും ഒന്നിന്നും മുട്ടില്ലല്ലോ.

9. The Lord's holy people should fear and respect him. Those who respect him will always have what they need.

10. ബാലസിംഹങ്ങളും ഇരകിട്ടാതെ വിശന്നിരിക്കും; യഹോവയെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കോ ഒരു നന്മെക്കും കുറവില്ല.

10. Even strong lions get weak and hungry, but those who go to the Lord for help will have every good thing.

11. മക്കളേ, വന്നു എനിക്കു ചെവിതരുവിന് ; യഹോവയോടുള്ള ഭക്തിയെ ഞാന് ഉപദേശിച്ചുതരാം.

11. Children, come and listen to me; I will teach you to respect the Lord.

12. ജീവനെ ആഗ്രഹിക്കയും നന്മ കാണേണ്ടതിന്നു ദീര്ഘായുസ്സ് ഇച്ഛിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവന് ആര്?

12. Do you want to enjoy life? Do you want to have many happy days?

13. ദോഷം ചെയ്യാതെ നിന്റെ നാവിനെയും വ്യാജം പറയാതെ നിന്റെ അധരത്തെയും കാത്തുകൊള്ക;

13. Then avoid saying anything hurtful, and never let a lie come out of your mouth.

14. ദോഷം വിട്ടകന്നു ഗുണം ചെയ്ക; സമാധാനം അന്വേഷിച്ചു പിന്തുടരുക.

14. Stop doing anything evil, and do good. Look for peace, and do all you can to help people live peacefully.

15. യഹോവയുടെ കണ്ണു നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ മേലും അവന്റെ ചെവി അവരുടെ നിലവിളിക്കും തുറന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

15. The Lord watches over those who do what is right, and he hears their prayers.

16. ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാരുടെ ഔര്മ്മയെ ഭൂമിയില്നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയേണ്ടതിന്നു യഹോവയുടെ മുഖം അവര്ക്കും പ്രതിക്കുലമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

16. But the Lord is against those who do evil, so they are forgotten soon after they die.

17. നീതിമാന്മാര് നിലവിളിച്ചു; യഹോവ കേട്ടു. സകലകഷ്ടങ്ങളില്നിന്നും അവരെ വിടുവിച്ചു.

17. Pray to the Lord, and he will hear you. He will save you from all your troubles.

18. ഹൃദയം നുറുങ്ങിയവര്ക്കും യഹോവ സമീപസ്ഥന് ; മനസ്സു തകര്ന്നവരെ അവന് രക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

18. The Lord is close to those who have suffered disappointment. He saves those who are discouraged.

19. നീതിമാന്റെ അനര്ത്ഥങ്ങള് അസംഖ്യമാകുന്നു; അവ എല്ലാറ്റില്നിന്നും യഹോവ അവനെ വിടുവിക്കുന്നു.

19. Good people might have many problems, but the Lord will take them all away.

20. അവന്റെ അസ്ഥികളെ എല്ലാം അവന് സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്നു; അവയില് ഒന്നും ഒടിഞ്ഞുപോകയുമില്ല.

20. He will protect them completely. Not one of their bones will be broken.

21. അനര്ത്ഥം ദുഷ്ടനെ കൊല്ലുന്നു; നീതിമാനെ പകെക്കുന്നവര് ശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കും.

21. But troubles will kill the wicked. The enemies of those who live right will all be punished.

22. യഹോവ തന്റെ ദാസന്മാരുടെ പ്രാണനെ വീണ്ടുകൊള്ളുന്നു; അവനെ ശരണമാക്കുന്നവരാരും ശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കയില്ല.

22. The Lord saves his servants. All who go to him for protection will escape punishment.
