1. വീരാ, നീ ദുഷ്ടതയില് പ്രശംസിക്കുന്നതെന്തു? ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദയ നിരന്തരമാകുന്നു.

2. ചതിവു ചെയ്യുന്നവനെ, മൂര്ച്ചയുള്ള ക്ഷൌരക്കത്തിപോലെ നിന്റെ നാവു ദുഷ്ടത വകഞ്ഞുണ്ടാക്കുന്നു.

2. Thy tongue deviseth mischievous things, like a sharp razor, practising deceit.

3. നീ നന്മയെക്കാള് തിന്മയെയും നീതിയെ സംസാരിക്കുന്നതിനെക്കാള് വ്യാജത്തെയും ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നു. സേലാ.

3. Thou hast loved evil rather than good, lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.

4. നീ വഞ്ചനനാവും നാശകരമായ വാക്കുകളൊക്കെയും ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നു.

4. Thou hast loved all devouring words, O deceitful tongue!

5. ദൈവം നിന്നെയും എന്നേക്കും നശിപ്പിക്കും; നിന്റെ കൂടാരത്തില്നിന്നു അവന് നിന്നെ പറിച്ചുകളയും. ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു നിന്നെ നിര്മ്മൂലമാക്കും. സേലാ.

5. *God shall likewise destroy thee for ever; he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of [thy] tent, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.

6. നീതിമാന്മാര് കണ്ടു ഭയപ്പെടും; അവര് അവനെച്ചൊല്ലി ചിരിക്കും.

6. The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him, [saying,]

7. ദൈവത്തെ തന്റെ ശരണമാക്കാതെ തന്റെ ദ്രവ്യസമൃദ്ധിയില് ആശ്രയിക്കയും ദുഷ്ടതയില് തന്നെത്താന് ഉറപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്ത മനുഷ്യന് അതാ എന്നു പറയും,

7. Behold the man that made not God his strength, but put confidence in the abundance of his riches, [and] strengthened himself in his avarice.

8. ഞാനോ, ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയത്തിങ്കല് തഴെച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഒലിവുവൃക്ഷംപോലെ ആകുന്നു; ഞാന് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദയയില് എന്നും എന്നേക്കും ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നു.

8. But as for me, I am like a green olive-tree in the house of God: I will confide in the loving-kindness of God for ever and ever.

9. നീ അതു ചെയ്തിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് നിനക്കു എന്നും സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യും; ഞാന് നിന്റെ നാമത്തില് പ്രത്യാശവേക്കും; നിന്റെ ഭക്തന്മാരുടെ മുമ്പാകെ അതു നല്ലതല്ലോ. (സംഗീതപ്രമാണിക്കു; മഹലത്ത് എന്ന രാഗത്തില് ദാവീദിന്റെ ധ്യാനം.)

9. I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done [it]; and I will wait on thy name, before thy godly ones, for it is good.
