1. ഒരുത്തന് ഒരു കാളയെയോ ഒരു ആടിനെയോ മോഷ്ടിച്ചു അറുക്കുകയാകട്ടെ വിലക്കുകയാകട്ടെ ചെയ്താല് അവന് ഒരു കാളെക്കു അഞ്ചു കാളയെയും, ഒരു ആടിന്നു നാലു ആടിനെയും പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം.
ലൂക്കോസ് 19:8

1. '(If a thief is caught in the act of housebreaking and beaten to death, there is no bloodguilt involved.

2. കള്ളന് വീടു മുറിക്കുമ്പോള് പിടിക്കപ്പെട്ടു അടികൊണ്ടു മരിച്ചുപോയാല് അവനെ സംബന്ധിച്ചു രക്തപാതകം ഇല്ല.

2. But if after sunrise he is thus beaten, there is bloodguilt.) He must make full restitution. If he has nothing, he shall be sold to pay for his theft.

3. എന്നാല് അതു നേരം വെളുത്തശേഷമാകുന്നു എങ്കില് രക്തപാതകം ഉണ്ടു. കള്ളന് ശരിയായിട്ടു പ്രതിശാന്തി ചെയ്യേണം; അവന് വകയില്ലാത്തവനെങ്കില് തന്റെ മോഷണം നിമിത്തം അവനെ വില്ക്കേണം.

3. If what he stole is found alive in his possession, be it an ox, an ass or a sheep, he shall restore two animals for each one stolen.

4. മോഷണവസ്തുവായ കാളയെയോ കഴുതയെയോ ആടിനെയോ ജീവനോടെ അവന്റെ കൈവശം കണ്ടുപിടിച്ചാല് അവന് ഇരട്ടി പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം.

4. 'When a man is burning over a field or a vineyard, if he lets the fire spread so that it burns in another's field, he must make restitution with the best produce of his own field or vineyard.

5. ഒരുത്തന് ഒരു വയലോ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടമോ തീറ്റിക്കയാകട്ടെ തന്റെ കന്നുകാലിയെ അഴിച്ചുവിട്ടു അതു മറ്റൊരുത്തന്റെ വയലില് മേയുകയാകട്ടെ ചെയ്താല് അവന് തന്റെ വയലിലുള്ളതില് ഉത്തമമായതും തന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിലുള്ളതില് ഉത്തമമായതും പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം.

5. If the fire spreads further, and catches on to thorn bushes, so that shocked grain or standing grain or the field itself is burned up, the one who started the fire must make full restitution.

6. തീ വീണു കാടു കത്തീട്ടു കറ്റക്കൂട്ടമോ വിളവോ നിലമോ വെന്തുപോയെങ്കില് തീ കത്തിച്ചവന് പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം.

6. 'When a man gives money or an article to another for safekeeping and it is stolen from the latter's house, the thief, if caught, must make twofold restitution.

7. ഒരുത്തന് കൂട്ടകാരന്റെ പറ്റില് പണമോ വല്ല സാധനമോ സൂക്ഷിപ്പാന് ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കെ അതു അവന്റെ വീട്ടില്നിന്നു കളവുപോയാല് കള്ളനെ പിടികിട്ടി എന്നുവരികില് അവന് ഇരട്ടിപകരം കൊടുക്കേണം.

7. If the thief is not caught, the owner of the house shall be brought to God, to swear that he himself did not lay hands on his neighbor's property.

8. കള്ളനെ പിടികിട്ടാതിരുന്നാല് ആ വീട്ടുകാരന് കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ വസ്തുവിന്മേല് കൈ വെച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ എന്നു അറിവാന് അവനെ ദൈവ സന്നിധിയില് കൊണ്ടുപോകേണം.

8. In every question of dishonest appropriation, whether it be about an ox, or an ass, or a sheep, or a garment, or anything else that has disappeared, where another claims that the thing is his, both parties shall present their case before God; the one whom God convicts must make twofold restitution to the other.

9. കാണാതെപോയ കാള, കഴുത, ആടു, വസ്ത്രം മുതലായ യാതൊന്നിനെയും സംബന്ധിച്ചു ഇതു എനിക്കുള്ളതു എന്നു ഒരുവന് പറഞ്ഞു കുറ്റം ചുമത്തിയാല് ഇരുപാട്ടുകാരുടെയും കാര്യം ദൈവസന്നിധിയില് വരേണം; കുറ്റക്കാരനെന്നു ദൈവം വിധിക്കുന്നവന് കൂട്ടുകാരന്നു ഇരട്ടി പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം.

9. 'When a man gives an ass, or an ox, or a sheep, or any other animal to another for safekeeping, if it dies, or is maimed or snatched away, without anyone witnessing the fact,

10. ഒരുത്തന് കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ പക്കല് കഴുത, കാള, ആടു എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഒരു മൃഗത്തെ സൂക്ഷിപ്പാന് ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കെ അതു ചത്തുപോകയോ അതിന്നു വല്ല കേടു തട്ടുകയോ ആരും കാണാതെ കളവുപോകയോ ചെയ്താല്

10. the custodian shall swear by the LORD that he did not lay hands on his neighbor's property; the owner must accept the oath, and no restitution is to be made.

11. കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ വസ്തുവിന്മേല് അവന് കൈ വെച്ചിട്ടില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയെക്കൊണ്ടുള്ള സത്യം ഇരുപാട്ടുകാര്ക്കും തീര്ച്ച ആയിരിക്കേണം; ഉടമസ്ഥന് അതു സമ്മതിക്കേണം; മറ്റവന് പകരം കൊടുക്കേണ്ടാ.
എബ്രായർ 6:16

11. But if the custodian is really guilty of theft, he must make restitution to the owner.

12. എന്നാല് അതു അവന്റെ പക്കല് നിന്നു കളവുപോയി എന്നു വരികില് അവന് അതിന്റെ ഉടമസ്ഥന്നു പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം.

12. If it has been killed by a wild beast, let him bring it as evidence, and he need not make restitution for the mangled animal.

13. അതു കടിച്ചു കീറിപ്പോയെങ്കില് അവന് അതിന്നു സാക്ഷ്യം കൊണ്ടുവരേണം; കടിച്ചു കീറിപ്പോയതിന്നു അവന് പകരം കൊടുക്കേണ്ടാ.

13. 'When a man borrows an animal from his neighbor, if it is maimed or dies while the owner is not present, the man must make restitution.

14. ഒരുത്തന് കൂട്ടുകാരനോടു വായ്പ വാങ്ങീട്ടു ഉടമസ്ഥന് അരികെ ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കെ വല്ല കേടു ഭവിക്കയോ ചത്തുപോകയോ ചെയ്താല് അവന് പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം.

14. But if the owner is present, he need not make restitution. If it was hired, this was covered by the price of its hire.

15. ഉടമസ്ഥന് അരികെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നാല് അവന് പകരം കൊടുക്കേണ്ടാ; അതു കൂലിക്കു വാങ്ങിയതെങ്കില് അതിന്നു കൂലിയുണ്ടല്ലോ.

15. 'When a man seduces a virgin who is not betrothed, and lies with her, he shall pay her marriage price and marry her.

16. വിവാഹത്തിന്നു നിയമിക്കപ്പെടാത്ത ഒരു കന്യകയെ ഒരുത്തന് വശീകരിച്ചു അവളോടു കൂടെ ശയിച്ചാല് അവന് സ്ത്രീധനം കൊടുത്തു അവളെ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കേണം.

16. If her father refuses to give her to him, he must still pay him the customary marriage price for virgins.

17. അവളെ അവന്നു കൊടുപ്പാന് അവളുടെ അപ്പന്നു അശേഷം മനസ്സില്ലെങ്കില് അവന് കന്യകമാരുടെ സ്ത്രീധനത്തിന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം പണം കൊടുക്കേണം.

17. 'You shall not let a sorceress live.

18. ക്ഷുദ്രക്കാരത്തിയെ നീ ജീവനോടെ വെക്കരുതു.

18. 'Anyone who lies with an animal shall be put to death.

19. മൃഗത്തോടുകൂടെ ശയിക്കുന്ന ഏവനും മരണശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കേണം.

19. 'Whoever sacrifices to any god, except to the LORD alone, shall be doomed.

20. യഹോവേക്കു മാത്രമല്ലാതെ വേറെ ദൈവങ്ങള്ക്കു യാഗം കഴിക്കുന്നവനെ നിര്മ്മൂലമാക്കേണം.

20. 'You shall not molest or oppress an alien, for you were once aliens yourselves in the land of Egypt.

21. പരദേശിയെ പീഡിപ്പിക്കരുതു ഉപദ്രവിക്കയുമരുതു; നിങ്ങള് മിസ്രയീം ദേശത്തു പരദേശികള് ആയിരുന്നുവല്ലോ.

21. You shall not wrong any widow or orphan.

22. വിധവയെയും അനാഥനെയും നിങ്ങള് ക്ളേശിപ്പിക്കരുതു.

22. If ever you wrong them and they cry out to me, I will surely hear their cry.

23. അവരെ വല്ലപ്രകാരത്തിലും ക്ളേശിപ്പിക്കയും അവര് എന്നോടു നിലവിളിക്കയും ചെയ്താല് ഞാന് അവരുടെ നിലവിളി കേള്ക്കും;

23. My wrath will flare up, and I will kill you with the sword; then your own wives will be widows, and your children orphans.

24. എന്റെ കോപവും ജ്വലിക്കും; ഞാന് വാള്കൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളെ കൊല്ലും; നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്ത്രീകള് വിധവമാരും നിങ്ങളുടെ പൈതങ്ങള് അനാഥരുമായി തീരും.

24. 'If you lend money to one of your poor neighbors among my people, you shall not act like an extortioner toward him by demanding interest from him.

25. എന്റെ ജനത്തില് നിന്റെ അടുക്കലുള്ള ഒരു ദരിദ്രന്നു പണം വായ്പ കൊടുത്താല് പൊലികടക്കാരനെപ്പോലെ ഇരിക്കരുതു; അവനോടു പലിശ വാങ്ങുകയും അരുതു.

25. If you take your neighbor's cloak as a pledge, you shall return it to him before sunset;

26. നീ കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ വസ്ത്രം പണയം വാങ്ങിയാല് സൂര്യന് അസ്തമിക്കുംമുമ്പെ മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കേണം.

26. for this cloak of his is the only covering he has for his body. What else has he to sleep in? If he cries out to me, I will hear him; for I am compassionate.

27. അതുമാത്രമല്ലോ അവന്റെ പുതപ്പു; അതുമാത്രമല്ലോ അവന്റെ ശരീരം മൂടുന്ന വസ്ത്രം; അവന് പിന്നെ എന്തൊന്നു പുതെച്ചു കിടക്കും? അവന് എന്നോടു നിലവിളിക്കുമ്പോള് ഞാന് കേള്ക്കും; ഞാന് കൃപയുള്ളവനല്ലോ.

27. 'You shall not revile God, nor curse a prince of your people.

28. നീ ദൈവത്തെ ദുഷിക്കരുതു; നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ അധിപതിയെ ശപിക്കയുമരുതു.

28. 'You shall not delay the offering of your harvest and your press. You shall give me the first-born of your sons.

29. നിന്റെ വിളവും ദ്രാവകവര്ഗ്ഗവും അര്പ്പിപ്പാന് താമസിക്കരുതു; നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരില് ആദ്യജാതനെ എനിക്കു തരേണം.

29. You must do the same with your oxen and your sheep; for seven days the firstling may stay with its mother, but on the eighth day you must give it to me.

30. നിന്റെ കാളകളിലും ആടുകളിലും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ; അതു ഏഴു ദിവസം തള്ളയോടു കൂടെ ഇരിക്കട്ടെ; എട്ടാം ദിവസം അതിനെ എനിക്കു തരേണം.

30. 'You shall be men sacred to me. Flesh torn to pieces in the field you shall not eat; throw it to the dogs.
