1. ഒരുത്തന് ഒരു കാളയെയോ ഒരു ആടിനെയോ മോഷ്ടിച്ചു അറുക്കുകയാകട്ടെ വിലക്കുകയാകട്ടെ ചെയ്താല് അവന് ഒരു കാളെക്കു അഞ്ചു കാളയെയും, ഒരു ആടിന്നു നാലു ആടിനെയും പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം.
ലൂക്കോസ് 19:8

1. If a man steale an oxe or a sheepe, and kill it, or sell it: he shall restore fiue oxen for an oxe, foure sheepe for a sheepe.

2. കള്ളന് വീടു മുറിക്കുമ്പോള് പിടിക്കപ്പെട്ടു അടികൊണ്ടു മരിച്ചുപോയാല് അവനെ സംബന്ധിച്ചു രക്തപാതകം ഇല്ല.

2. If a theefe be found breaking vp, and be smitten that he dye: there shall no blood be shed for hym.

3. എന്നാല് അതു നേരം വെളുത്തശേഷമാകുന്നു എങ്കില് രക്തപാതകം ഉണ്ടു. കള്ളന് ശരിയായിട്ടു പ്രതിശാന്തി ചെയ്യേണം; അവന് വകയില്ലാത്തവനെങ്കില് തന്റെ മോഷണം നിമിത്തം അവനെ വില്ക്കേണം.

3. But if the sunne be vp vpon him, then there shalbe blood shed for hym, for he should make restitution: if he haue not wherwith, he shalbe solde for his theft.

4. മോഷണവസ്തുവായ കാളയെയോ കഴുതയെയോ ആടിനെയോ ജീവനോടെ അവന്റെ കൈവശം കണ്ടുപിടിച്ചാല് അവന് ഇരട്ടി പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം.

4. If the theft be founde in his hande, aliue, whether it be oxe, asse, or sheepe, he shall restore double.

5. ഒരുത്തന് ഒരു വയലോ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടമോ തീറ്റിക്കയാകട്ടെ തന്റെ കന്നുകാലിയെ അഴിച്ചുവിട്ടു അതു മറ്റൊരുത്തന്റെ വയലില് മേയുകയാകട്ടെ ചെയ്താല് അവന് തന്റെ വയലിലുള്ളതില് ഉത്തമമായതും തന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിലുള്ളതില് ഉത്തമമായതും പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം.

5. If a man do hurt fielde or vineyarde, and put in his beast to feede in another mans fielde: of the best of his owne fielde, and of the best of his owne vineyarde, shall he make restitution.

6. തീ വീണു കാടു കത്തീട്ടു കറ്റക്കൂട്ടമോ വിളവോ നിലമോ വെന്തുപോയെങ്കില് തീ കത്തിച്ചവന് പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം.

6. If fire breake out and catche in the thornes and the stackes of corne, or the standyng corne, or fielde be consumed therewith: he that kyndeled the fyre, shall make restitution.

7. ഒരുത്തന് കൂട്ടകാരന്റെ പറ്റില് പണമോ വല്ല സാധനമോ സൂക്ഷിപ്പാന് ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കെ അതു അവന്റെ വീട്ടില്നിന്നു കളവുപോയാല് കള്ളനെ പിടികിട്ടി എന്നുവരികില് അവന് ഇരട്ടിപകരം കൊടുക്കേണം.

7. If a man deliuer his neyghbour money or stuffe to kepe, and it be stolen out of his house: if the theefe be founde, let hym pay double:

8. കള്ളനെ പിടികിട്ടാതിരുന്നാല് ആ വീട്ടുകാരന് കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ വസ്തുവിന്മേല് കൈ വെച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ എന്നു അറിവാന് അവനെ ദൈവ സന്നിധിയില് കൊണ്ടുപോകേണം.

8. And if the theefe be not founde, then the good man of ye house shalbe brought vnto the Iudges, that it may be knowen whether he haue put his hande vnto his neyghbours good.

9. കാണാതെപോയ കാള, കഴുത, ആടു, വസ്ത്രം മുതലായ യാതൊന്നിനെയും സംബന്ധിച്ചു ഇതു എനിക്കുള്ളതു എന്നു ഒരുവന് പറഞ്ഞു കുറ്റം ചുമത്തിയാല് ഇരുപാട്ടുകാരുടെയും കാര്യം ദൈവസന്നിധിയില് വരേണം; കുറ്റക്കാരനെന്നു ദൈവം വിധിക്കുന്നവന് കൂട്ടുകാരന്നു ഇരട്ടി പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം.

9. And in al maner of trespasse, whether it be for oxe, asse, or sheepe, rayment, or any maner of lost thing, which another chalengeth to be his: the cause of both parties shall come before the Iudges, and whom the Iudges condemne, let him pay double vnto his neyghbour.

10. ഒരുത്തന് കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ പക്കല് കഴുത, കാള, ആടു എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഒരു മൃഗത്തെ സൂക്ഷിപ്പാന് ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കെ അതു ചത്തുപോകയോ അതിന്നു വല്ല കേടു തട്ടുകയോ ആരും കാണാതെ കളവുപോകയോ ചെയ്താല്

10. If a man delyuer vnto his neyghbour to kepe, asse, oxe, sheepe, or whatsoeuer beast it be: and it dye, or be hurt, or taken away by enemies, & no man see it:

11. കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ വസ്തുവിന്മേല് അവന് കൈ വെച്ചിട്ടില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയെക്കൊണ്ടുള്ള സത്യം ഇരുപാട്ടുകാര്ക്കും തീര്ച്ച ആയിരിക്കേണം; ഉടമസ്ഥന് അതു സമ്മതിക്കേണം; മറ്റവന് പകരം കൊടുക്കേണ്ടാ.

11. Then shall an oth of the Lorde be betweene them, that he hath not put his hande vnto his neyghbours good: and the owner of it shall take the oth, and the other shall not make it good.

12. എന്നാല് അതു അവന്റെ പക്കല് നിന്നു കളവുപോയി എന്നു വരികില് അവന് അതിന്റെ ഉടമസ്ഥന്നു പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം.

12. And if it be stollen from hym, then he shall make restitution vnto the owner therof.

13. അതു കടിച്ചു കീറിപ്പോയെങ്കില് അവന് അതിന്നു സാക്ഷ്യം കൊണ്ടുവരേണം; കടിച്ചു കീറിപ്പോയതിന്നു അവന് പകരം കൊടുക്കേണ്ടാ.

13. (22:12) If it be torne in peeces, then let him bryng recorde of the tearing, and he shall not make it good.

14. ഒരുത്തന് കൂട്ടുകാരനോടു വായ്പ വാങ്ങീട്ടു ഉടമസ്ഥന് അരികെ ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കെ വല്ല കേടു ഭവിക്കയോ ചത്തുപോകയോ ചെയ്താല് അവന് പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം.

14. (22:13) And if a man borowe ought of his neighbour, and it be hurt, or els dye, and the owner therof be not by: he shall surely make it good.

15. ഉടമസ്ഥന് അരികെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നാല് അവന് പകരം കൊടുക്കേണ്ടാ; അതു കൂലിക്കു വാങ്ങിയതെങ്കില് അതിന്നു കൂലിയുണ്ടല്ലോ.

15. (22:14) But if the owner therof be by, he shall not make it good: if it be an hired thing, it came for his hire.

16. വിവാഹത്തിന്നു നിയമിക്കപ്പെടാത്ത ഒരു കന്യകയെ ഒരുത്തന് വശീകരിച്ചു അവളോടു കൂടെ ശയിച്ചാല് അവന് സ്ത്രീധനം കൊടുത്തു അവളെ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കേണം.

16. (22:15) If a man entice a mayde that is not betrouthed, and lye with her, he shall endowe her, and take her to his wyfe.

17. അവളെ അവന്നു കൊടുപ്പാന് അവളുടെ അപ്പന്നു അശേഷം മനസ്സില്ലെങ്കില് അവന് കന്യകമാരുടെ സ്ത്രീധനത്തിന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം പണം കൊടുക്കേണം.

17. (22:16) And if her father refuse to geue her vnto him, he shal pay money, according to the dowrie of virgins.

18. ക്ഷുദ്രക്കാരത്തിയെ നീ ജീവനോടെ വെക്കരുതു.

18. (22:17) Thou shalt not suffer a witche to lyue.

19. മൃഗത്തോടുകൂടെ ശയിക്കുന്ന ഏവനും മരണശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കേണം.

19. (22:18) Whosoeuer lyeth with a beast, shall be slayne for it.

20. യഹോവേക്കു മാത്രമല്ലാതെ വേറെ ദൈവങ്ങള്ക്കു യാഗം കഴിക്കുന്നവനെ നിര്മ്മൂലമാക്കേണം.

20. (22:19) He that offereth vnto any gods, saue vnto ye Lord only, he shalbe killed.

21. പരദേശിയെ പീഡിപ്പിക്കരുതു ഉപദ്രവിക്കയുമരുതു; നിങ്ങള് മിസ്രയീം ദേശത്തു പരദേശികള് ആയിരുന്നുവല്ലോ.

21. (22:20) Uexe not a straunger, neither oppresse him: for ye were straungers in the land of Egypt.

22. വിധവയെയും അനാഥനെയും നിങ്ങള് ക്ളേശിപ്പിക്കരുതു.

22. (22:21) Ye shall trouble no wydowe nor fatherlesse chylde.

23. അവരെ വല്ലപ്രകാരത്തിലും ക്ളേശിപ്പിക്കയും അവര് എന്നോടു നിലവിളിക്കയും ചെയ്താല് ഞാന് അവരുടെ നിലവിളി കേള്ക്കും;

23. (22:22) If ye shall euyll entreate them, and they crye out vnto me, I wyll surelye heare theyr crye.

24. എന്റെ കോപവും ജ്വലിക്കും; ഞാന് വാള്കൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളെ കൊല്ലും; നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്ത്രീകള് വിധവമാരും നിങ്ങളുടെ പൈതങ്ങള് അനാഥരുമായി തീരും.

24. (22:23) And then wyl my wrath waxe hotte, and I wyll kyll you with the sworde, & your wyues shalbe widowes, and your chyldren fatherlesse.

25. എന്റെ ജനത്തില് നിന്റെ അടുക്കലുള്ള ഒരു ദരിദ്രന്നു പണം വായ്പ കൊടുത്താല് പൊലികടക്കാരനെപ്പോലെ ഇരിക്കരുതു; അവനോടു പലിശ വാങ്ങുകയും അരുതു.

25. (22:24) If thou lende money to any of my people that is poore by thee, thou shalt not be as a tiraunt vnto him, neither shalt thou lay vpon him vsurie.

26. നീ കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ വസ്ത്രം പണയം വാങ്ങിയാല് സൂര്യന് അസ്തമിക്കുംമുമ്പെ മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കേണം.

26. (22:25) If thou take thy neyghbours rayment to pledge, thou shalt deliuer it vnto him by that the sunne go downe.

27. അതുമാത്രമല്ലോ അവന്റെ പുതപ്പു; അതുമാത്രമല്ലോ അവന്റെ ശരീരം മൂടുന്ന വസ്ത്രം; അവന് പിന്നെ എന്തൊന്നു പുതെച്ചു കിടക്കും? അവന് എന്നോടു നിലവിളിക്കുമ്പോള് ഞാന് കേള്ക്കും; ഞാന് കൃപയുള്ളവനല്ലോ.

27. (22:26) For that is his couering only, euen the rayment for his skinne, wherein he slepeth: and when he cryeth vnto me, I wyll heare him, for I am mercyfull.

28. നീ ദൈവത്തെ ദുഷിക്കരുതു; നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ അധിപതിയെ ശപിക്കയുമരുതു.

28. (22:27) Thou shalt not rayle vpon ye gods, neither blaspheme ye ruler of the people.

29. നിന്റെ വിളവും ദ്രാവകവര്ഗ്ഗവും അര്പ്പിപ്പാന് താമസിക്കരുതു; നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരില് ആദ്യജാതനെ എനിക്കു തരേണം.

29. (22:28) Thy fruites, whether they be drie or moyst, see thou kepe the not backe: thy first borne sonne thou shalt geue me.

30. നിന്റെ കാളകളിലും ആടുകളിലും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ; അതു ഏഴു ദിവസം തള്ളയോടു കൂടെ ഇരിക്കട്ടെ; എട്ടാം ദിവസം അതിനെ എനിക്കു തരേണം.

30. (22:29) Likewise also shalt thou do with thine oxen, and with thy sheepe: seuen dayes it shalbe with the damme, & the eyght day thou shalt geue it me.

31. നിങ്ങള് എനിക്കു വിശുദ്ധന്മാരായിരിക്കേണം; കാട്ടുമൃഗം കടിച്ചുകീറിയ മാംസം തിന്നരുതു. നിങ്ങള് അതിനെ നായ്ക്കള്ക്കു ഇട്ടുകളയേണം.

31. (22:30) Ye shalbe an holy people vnto me, neither shall ye eate any fleshe that is torne of beastes in the fielde, but shall cast it to a dogge.
