13. വിശ്വസ്തനായ ദൂതന് തന്നെ അയക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും കൊയ്ത്തു കാലത്തു ഹിമത്തിന്റെ തണുപ്പുപോലെ; അവന് യജമാനന്മാരുടെ ഉള്ളം തണുപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

13. Like the cold of snow in the time of harvest are faithful messengers to those who send them; they refresh the spirit of their masters.

15. With patience a ruler may be persuaded, and a soft tongue can break bones.

16. നിനക്കു തേന് കിട്ടിയാല് വേണ്ടുന്നതേ ഭുജിക്കാവു; അധികം നിറഞ്ഞിട്ടു ഛര്ദ്ദിപ്പാന് ഇടവരരുതു.

17. കൂട്ടുകാരന് നിന്നെക്കൊണ്ടു മടുത്തു നിന്നെ വെറുക്കാതെയിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന്റെ വീട്ടില് കൂടക്കൂടെ ചെല്ലരുതു.

17. Let your foot be seldom in your neighbor's house, otherwise the neighbor will become weary of you and hate you.

18. കൂട്ടുകാരന്നു വിരോധമായി കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷ്യം പറയുന്ന മനുഷ്യന് മുട്ടികയും വാളും കൂര്ത്ത അമ്പും ആകുന്നു.

18. Like a war club, a sword, or a sharp arrow is one who bears false witness against a neighbor.

19. കഷ്ടകാലത്തു വിശ്വാസപാതകനെ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നതു മുറിഞ്ഞ പല്ലും ഉളുക്കിയ കാലുംപോലെ ആകുന്നു.

19. Like a bad tooth or a lame foot is trust in a faithless person in time of trouble.

20. വിഷാദമുള്ള ഹൃദയത്തിന്നു പാട്ടു പാടുന്നവന് ശീതകാലത്തു വസ്ത്രം കളയുന്നതുപോലെയും യവക്ഷാരത്തിന്മേല് ചൊറുക്ക പകരുന്നതു പോലെയും ആകുന്നു.

20. Like vinegar on a wound is one who sings songs to a heavy heart. Like a moth in clothing or a worm in wood, sorrow gnaws at the human heart.

27. തേന് ഏറെ കുടിക്കുന്നതു നന്നല്ല; പ്രയാസമുള്ളതു ആരായുന്നതോ മഹത്വം.

27. It is not good to eat much honey, or to seek honor on top of honor.

28. ആത്മസംയമം ഇല്ലാത്ത പുരുഷന് മതില് ഇല്ലാതെ ഇടിഞ്ഞുകിടക്കുന്ന പട്ടണം പോലെയാകുന്നു.
