1. ഉസ്സീയാരാജാവു മരിച്ച ആണ്ടില് കര്ത്താവു, ഉയര്ന്നും പൊങ്ങിയുമുള്ള സിംഹാസനത്തില് ഇരിക്കുന്നതു ഞാന് കണ്ടു; അവന്റെ വസ്ത്രത്തിന്റെ വിളുമ്പുകള് മന്ദിരത്തെ നിറച്ചിരുന്നു.

1. In the year of the death of king Uzziah -- I see the Lord, sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and His train is filling the temple.

2. സാറാഫുകള് അവന്നു ചുറ്റും നിന്നു; ഔരോരുത്തന്നു ആറാറു ചിറകുണ്ടായിരുന്നു; രണ്ടുകൊണ്ടു അവര് മൂഖം മൂടി; രണ്ടുകൊണ്ടു കാല് മൂടി; രണ്ടുകൊണ്ടു പറന്നു.

2. Seraphs are standing above it: six wings hath each one; with two [each] covereth its face, and with two [each] covereth its feet, and with two [each] flieth.

3. ഒരുത്തനോടു ഒരുത്തന് ; സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ പരിശുദ്ധന് , പരിശുദ്ധന് , പരിശുദ്ധന് ; സര്വ്വഭൂമിയും അവന്റെ മഹത്വംകൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ആര്ത്തു പറഞ്ഞു.

3. And this one hath called unto that, and hath said: 'Holy, Holy, Holy, [is] Jehovah of Hosts, The fulness of all the earth [is] His glory.'

4. അവര് ആര്ക്കുംന്ന ശബ്ദത്താല് ഉമ്മരപ്പടികളുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനങ്ങള് കുലുങ്ങി ആലയം പുകകൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞു.

4. And the posts of the thresholds are moved by the voice of him who is calling, and the house is full of smoke.

5. അപ്പോള് ഞാന് എനിക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം; ഞാന് നശിച്ചു; ഞാന് ശുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്ത അധരങ്ങള് ഉള്ളോരു മനുഷ്യന് ; ശുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്ത അധരങ്ങള് ഉള്ള ജനത്തിന്റെ നടുവില് വസിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ കണ്ണു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ രാജാവിനെ കണ്ടുവല്ലോ എന്നും പറഞ്ഞു.

5. And I say, 'Woe to me, for I have been silent, For a man -- unclean of lips [am] I, And in midst of a people unclean of lips I am dwelling, Because the King, Jehovah of Hosts, have my eyes seen.'

6. അപ്പോള് സാറാഫുകളില് ഒരുത്തന് യാഗപീഠത്തില് നിന്നു കൊടില്കൊണ്ടു ഒരു തീക്കനല് എടുത്തു കയ്യില് പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു എന്റെ അടുക്കല് പറന്നുവന്നു,

6. And flee unto me doth one of the seraphs, and in his hand a burning coal, (with tongs he hath taken [it] from off the altar,)

7. അതു എന്റെ വായക്കു തൊടുവിച്ചുഇതാ, ഇതു നിന്റെ അധരങ്ങളെ തൊട്ടതിനാല് നിന്റെ അകൃത്യം നീങ്ങി നിന്റെ പാപത്തിന്നു പരിഹാരം വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

7. and he striketh against my mouth, and saith: 'Lo, this hath stricken against thy lips, And turned aside is thine iniquity, And thy sin is covered.'

8. അനന്തരം ഞാന് ആരെ അയക്കേണ്ടു? ആര് നമുക്കു വേണ്ടി പോകും? എന്നു ചോദിക്കുന്ന കര്ത്താവിന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേട്ടിട്ടുഅടയിന് ഇതാ അടിയനെ അയക്കേണമേ എന്നു ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞു.

8. And I hear the voice of the Lord, saying: 'Whom do I send? and who doth go for Us?' And I say, 'Here [am] I, send me.'

9. അപ്പോള് അവന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുനീ ചെന്നു, ഈ ജനത്തോടു പറയേണ്ടതുനിങ്ങള് കേട്ടുകൊണ്ടിട്ടും തിരിച്ചറികയില്ല; നിങ്ങള് കണ്ടുകൊണ്ടിട്ടും ഗ്രഹിക്കയുമില്ല.

9. And He saith, 'Go, and thou hast said to this people, Hear ye -- to hear, and ye do not understand, And see ye -- to see, and ye do not know.

10. ഈ ജനം കണ്ണുകൊണ്ടു കാണുകയോ ചെവികൊണ്ടു കേള്ക്കയോ ഹൃദയംകൊണ്ടു ഗ്രഹിക്കയോ മനസ്സു തിരിഞ്ഞു സൌഖ്യം പ്രാപിക്കയോ ചെയ്യാതെ ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ അവരുടെ ഹൃദയം തടിപ്പിക്കയും അവരുടെ ചെവി മന്ദമാക്കുകയും അവരുടെ കണ്ണു അടെച്ചുകളകയും ചെയ്ക.

10. Declare fat the heart of this people, And its ears declare heavy, And its eyes declare dazzled, Lest it see with its eyes, And with its ears hear, and its heart consider, And it hath turned back, and hath health.'

11. കര്ത്താവേ, എത്രത്തോളം? എന്നു ഞാന് ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു അവന് പട്ടണങ്ങള് നിവാസികളില്ലാതെയും വീടുകള് ആളില്ലാതെയും ശൂന്യമായി ദേശം തീരെ പാഴായിപ്പോകയും

11. And I say, 'Till when, O Lord?' And He saith, 'Surely till cities have been wasted without inhabitant, And houses without man, And the ground be wasted -- a desolation,

12. യഹോവ മനുഷ്യരെ ദൂരത്തു അകറ്റീട്ടു ദേശത്തിന്റെ നടുവില് വലിയോരു നിര്ജ്ജനപ്രദേശം ഉണ്ടാകയും ചെയ്യുവോളം തന്നേ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

12. And Jehovah hath put man far off, And great [is] the forsaken part in the heart of the land.

13. അതില് ഒരു ദശാംശം എങ്കിലും ശേഷിച്ചാല് അതു വീണ്ടും നാശത്തിന്നു ഇരയായ്തീരും; എങ്കിലും കരിമരവും കരുവേലവും വെട്ടിയിട്ടാല് അവയുടെ കുറ്റി ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ വിശുദ്ധസന്തതി ഒരു കുറ്റിയായി ശേഷിക്കും.

13. And yet in it a tenth, and it hath turned, And hath been for a burning, As a teil-tree, and as an oak, that in falling, Have substance in them, The holy seed [is] its substance!'
