1. ഉസ്സീയാരാജാവു മരിച്ച ആണ്ടില് കര്ത്താവു, ഉയര്ന്നും പൊങ്ങിയുമുള്ള സിംഹാസനത്തില് ഇരിക്കുന്നതു ഞാന് കണ്ടു; അവന്റെ വസ്ത്രത്തിന്റെ വിളുമ്പുകള് മന്ദിരത്തെ നിറച്ചിരുന്നു.

1. In the year of King Uzziah's death I saw the Lord seated in his place, high and lifted up, and the Temple was full of the wide skirts of his robe.

2. Over him were the winged ones: every one had six wings; two for covering his face, two for covering his feed, and two for flight.

3. ഒരുത്തനോടു ഒരുത്തന് ; സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ പരിശുദ്ധന് , പരിശുദ്ധന് , പരിശുദ്ധന് ; സര്വ്വഭൂമിയും അവന്റെ മഹത്വംകൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ആര്ത്തു പറഞ്ഞു.

3. And one said in a loud voice to another, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of armies: all the earth is full of his glory.

4. അവര് ആര്ക്കുംന്ന ശബ്ദത്താല് ഉമ്മരപ്പടികളുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനങ്ങള് കുലുങ്ങി ആലയം പുകകൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞു.

4. And the bases of the door-pillars were shaking at the sound of his cry, and the house was full of smoke.

5. അപ്പോള് ഞാന് എനിക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം; ഞാന് നശിച്ചു; ഞാന് ശുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്ത അധരങ്ങള് ഉള്ളോരു മനുഷ്യന് ; ശുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്ത അധരങ്ങള് ഉള്ള ജനത്തിന്റെ നടുവില് വസിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ കണ്ണു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ രാജാവിനെ കണ്ടുവല്ലോ എന്നും പറഞ്ഞു.

5. Then I said, The curse is on me, and my fate is destruction; for I am a man of unclean lips, living among a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of armies.

6. അപ്പോള് സാറാഫുകളില് ഒരുത്തന് യാഗപീഠത്തില് നിന്നു കൊടില്കൊണ്ടു ഒരു തീക്കനല് എടുത്തു കയ്യില് പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു എന്റെ അടുക്കല് പറന്നുവന്നു,

6. Then a winged one came to me with a burning coal in his hand, which he had taken from off the altar with the fire-spoon.

7. അതു എന്റെ വായക്കു തൊടുവിച്ചുഇതാ, ഇതു നിന്റെ അധരങ്ങളെ തൊട്ടതിനാല് നിന്റെ അകൃത്യം നീങ്ങി നിന്റെ പാപത്തിന്നു പരിഹാരം വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

7. And after touching my mouth with it, he said, See, your lips have been touched with this; and your evil is taken away, and you are made clean from sin.

8. അനന്തരം ഞാന് ആരെ അയക്കേണ്ടു? ആര് നമുക്കു വേണ്ടി പോകും? എന്നു ചോദിക്കുന്ന കര്ത്താവിന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേട്ടിട്ടുഅടയിന് ഇതാ അടിയനെ അയക്കേണമേ എന്നു ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞു.

8. And the voice of the Lord came to my ears, saying, Whom am I to send, and who will go for us? Then I said, Here am I, send me.

9. അപ്പോള് അവന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുനീ ചെന്നു, ഈ ജനത്തോടു പറയേണ്ടതുനിങ്ങള് കേട്ടുകൊണ്ടിട്ടും തിരിച്ചറികയില്ല; നിങ്ങള് കണ്ടുകൊണ്ടിട്ടും ഗ്രഹിക്കയുമില്ല.

9. And he said, Go, and say to this people, You will go on hearing, but learning nothing; you will go on seeing, but without getting wiser.

10. ഈ ജനം കണ്ണുകൊണ്ടു കാണുകയോ ചെവികൊണ്ടു കേള്ക്കയോ ഹൃദയംകൊണ്ടു ഗ്രഹിക്കയോ മനസ്സു തിരിഞ്ഞു സൌഖ്യം പ്രാപിക്കയോ ചെയ്യാതെ ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ അവരുടെ ഹൃദയം തടിപ്പിക്കയും അവരുടെ ചെവി മന്ദമാക്കുകയും അവരുടെ കണ്ണു അടെച്ചുകളകയും ചെയ്ക.

10. Make the hearts of this people fat, and let their ears be stopped, and their eyes shut; for fear that they may see with their eyes, and be hearing with their ears, and their heart may become wise, and they may be turned to me and made well.

11. കര്ത്താവേ, എത്രത്തോളം? എന്നു ഞാന് ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു അവന് പട്ടണങ്ങള് നിവാസികളില്ലാതെയും വീടുകള് ആളില്ലാതെയും ശൂന്യമായി ദേശം തീരെ പാഴായിപ്പോകയും

11. Then I said, Lord, how long? And he said in answer, Till the towns are waste and unpeopled, and the houses have no men, and the land becomes completely waste,

12. യഹോവ മനുഷ്യരെ ദൂരത്തു അകറ്റീട്ടു ദേശത്തിന്റെ നടുവില് വലിയോരു നിര്ജ്ജനപ്രദേശം ഉണ്ടാകയും ചെയ്യുവോളം തന്നേ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

12. And the Lord has taken men far away, and there are wide waste places in the land.

13. അതില് ഒരു ദശാംശം എങ്കിലും ശേഷിച്ചാല് അതു വീണ്ടും നാശത്തിന്നു ഇരയായ്തീരും; എങ്കിലും കരിമരവും കരുവേലവും വെട്ടിയിട്ടാല് അവയുടെ കുറ്റി ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ വിശുദ്ധസന്തതി ഒരു കുറ്റിയായി ശേഷിക്കും.

13. And even if there is still a tenth part in it, it will again be burned, like a tree of the woods whose broken end is still in the earth after the tree has been cut down (the holy seed is the broken end).
