1. ഞാന് അവന്റെ കോപത്തിന്റെ വടികൊണ്ടു കഷ്ടം കണ്ട പുരുഷനാകുന്നു.

1. I, am the man, that hath seen affliction, by the rod of his indignation;

2. അവന് എന്നെ വെളിച്ചത്തിലല്ല, ഇരുട്ടിലത്രേ നടത്തിക്കൊണ്ടു പോന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു.

2. Me, hath he driven out and brought into darkness, and not light;

3. അതേ, അവന് ഇടവിടാതെ പിന്നെയും പിന്നെയും തന്റെ കൈ എന്റെ നേരെ തിരിക്കുന്നു.

3. Surely, against me, doth he again and again, turn his hand all the day.

4. എന്റെ മാംസത്തെയും ത്വക്കിനെയും അവന് ജീര്ണ്ണമാക്കി, എന്റെ അസ്ഥികളെ തകര്ത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

4. He hath worn out my flesh and my skin, hath broken my bones;

5. അവന് എന്റെ നേരെ പിണിതു, നഞ്ചും പ്രയാസവും എന്നെ ചുറ്റുമാറാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

5. He hath built up against me, and carried round me, fortifications and a trench;

6. ശാശ്വതമൃതന്മാരെപ്പോലെ അവന് എന്നെ ഇരുട്ടില് പാര്പ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

6. In dark places, hath he made me sit, like the dead of age-past times.

7. പുറത്തു പോകുവാന് കഴിയാതവണ്ണം അവന് എന്നെ വേലികെട്ടിയടച്ചു എന്റെ ചങ്ങലയെ ഭാരമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

7. He hath walled up around me, that I cannot get out, hath weighted my fetter;

8. ഞാന് ക്കുകി നിലവിളിച്ചാലും അവന് എന്റെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥന തടുത്തുകളയുന്നു.

8. Yea, when I make outcry and implore, he hath shut out my prayer;

9. വെട്ടുകല്ലുകൊണ്ടു അവന് എന്റെ വഴി അടെച്ചു, എന്റെ പാതകളെ വികടമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

9. He hath walled in my ways with hewn stone, my paths, hath he caused to wind back.

10. അവന് എനിക്കു പതിയിരിക്കുന്ന കരടിയെപ്പോലെയും മറഞ്ഞുനിലക്കുന്ന സിംഹത്തെപ്പോലെയും ആകുന്നു.

10. A bear lying in wait, he is to me, a lion, in secret places;

11. അവന് എന്റെ വഴികളെ തെറ്റിച്ചു എന്നെ കടിച്ചുകീറി ശൂന്യമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

11. My ways, hath he turned aside, and hath torn me in pieces, hath made me desolate;

12. അവന് വില്ലു കുലെച്ചു എന്നെ അമ്പിന്നു ലാക്കാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

12. He hath trodden his bow, and set me up, as a mark for the arrow.

13. അവന് തന്റെ പൂണിയിലെ അമ്പുകളെ എന്റെ അന്തരംഗങ്ങളില് തറെപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

13. He hath caused to enter my reins, the sons of his quiver;

14. ഞാന് എന്റെ സര്വ്വജനത്തിന്നും പരിഹാസവും ഇടവിടാതെ അവരുടെ പാട്ടും ആയിത്തീര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

14. I have become a derision to all my people, their song all the day;

15. അവന് എന്നെ കൈപ്പുകൊണ്ടു നിറെച്ചു, കാഞ്ഞിരംകൊണ്ടു മത്തുപിടിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു;

15. He hath sated me with bitter things, hath drenched me with wormwood.

16. അവന് കല്ലുകൊണ്ടു എന്റെ പല്ലു തകര്ത്തു, എന്നെ വെണ്ണീരില് ഇട്ടുരുട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

16. And he hath crushed, with gravel-stones, my teeth, hath made me cower in ashes;

17. നീ എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ സമാധാനത്തില്നിന്നു നീക്കി; ഞാന് സുഖം മറന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

17. And thou hast thrust away from welfare, my soul, I have forgotten prosperity;

18. എന്റെ മഹത്വവും യഹോവയിങ്കലുള്ള എന്റെ പ്രത്യാശയും പൊയ്പോയല്ലോ എന്നു ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞു.

18. And I said, Vanished is mine endurance, even mine expectation, from Yahweh.

19. നീ എന്റെ കഷ്ടതയും അരിഷ്ടതയും കാഞ്ഞിരവും കൈപ്പും ഔര്ക്കേണമേ.

19. Remember my humiliation and my fleeings, the wormwood and poison;

20. എന്റെ പ്രാണന് എന്റെ ഉള്ളില് എപ്പോഴും അവയെ ഔര്ത്തു ഉരുകിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

20. Thou wilt, indeed remember, that, bowed down concerning myself, is my soul;

21. ഇതു ഞാന് ഔര്ക്കും; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് പ്രത്യാശിക്കും.

21. This, will I bring back to my heart, therefore, will I hope.

22. നാം മുടിഞ്ഞുപോകാതിരിക്കുന്നതു യഹോവയുടെ ദയ ആകുന്നു; അവന്റെ കരുണ തീര്ന്നു പോയിട്ടില്ലല്ലോ;

22. The lovingkindnesses of Yahweh, verily they are not exhausted, Verily! not at an end, are his compassions:

23. അതു രാവിലെതോറും പുതിയതും നിന്റെ വിശ്വസ്ഥത വലിയതും ആകുന്നു.

23. New things for the mornings! Abundant is thy faithfulness:

24. യഹോവ എന്റെ ഔഹരി എന്നു എന്റെ ഉള്ളം പറയുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് അവനില് പ്രത്യാശവെക്കുന്നു.

24. My portion, is Yahweh, saith my soul, For this cause, will I wait for him.

25. തന്നെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും തന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവന്നും യഹോവ നല്ലവന് .

25. Good is Yahweh, to them who wait for him, to the soul that will seek him;

26. യഹോവയുടെ രക്ഷെക്കായി മിണ്ടാതെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നതു നല്ലതു.

26. Good it is both to wait and to be silent, for the deliverance of Yahweh;

27. ബാല്യത്തില് നുകം ചുമക്കുന്നതു ഒരു പുരുഷന്നു നല്ലതു.

27. Good it is for a man, that he should bear the yoke in his youth.

28. അവന് അതു അവന്റെ മേല് വെച്ചിരിക്ക കൊണ്ടു അവന് തനിച്ചു മൌനം ആയിരിക്കട്ടെ.

28. Let him sit alone, and keep silence, because he took it upon himself:

29. അവന് തന്റെ മുഖത്തെ പൊടിയോളം താഴ്ത്തട്ടെ; പക്ഷെ പ്രത്യാശ ശേഷിക്കും.

29. Let him put, in the dust, his mouth, peradventure, there is hope!

30. തന്നെ അടിക്കുന്നവന്നു അവന് കവിള് കാണിക്കട്ടെ; അവന് വേണ്ടുവോളം നിന്ദ അനുഭവിക്കട്ടെ.

30. Let him give, to him that smiteth him, his cheek, let him be sated with reproach.

31. കര്ത്താവു എന്നേക്കും തള്ളിക്കളകയില്ലല്ലോ.

31. Surely My Lord, will not cast off, unto times age-abiding;

32. അവന് ദുഃഖിപ്പിച്ചാലും തന്റെ മഹാദയെക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം അവന്നു കരുണതോന്നും.

32. Surely, though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion, according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses;

33. മനസ്സോടെയല്ലല്ലോ അവന് മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരെ ദുഃഖിപ്പിച്ചു വ്യസനിപ്പിക്കുന്നതു.

33. Surely he hath not afflicted from his heart, nor caused sorrow to the sons of men.

34. ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലബദ്ധന്മാരെയും കാല്കീഴിട്ടു മെതിക്കുന്നതും.

34. To crush, under his feet, any of the prisoners of the earth;

35. അത്യുന്നതന്റെ സന്നിധിയില് മനുഷ്യന്റെ ന്യായം മറിച്ചുകളയുന്നതും.

35. To turn aside the right of a man, before the face of the Most High;

36. മനുഷ്യനെ വ്യവഹാരത്തില് തെറ്റിച്ചുകളയുന്നതും കര്ത്താവു കാണുകയില്ലയോ?

36. To oppress a son of earth in his cause, My Lord, hath made no provision.

37. കര്ത്താവു കല്പിക്കാതെ ആര് പറഞ്ഞിട്ടാകുന്നു വല്ലതും സംഭവിക്കുന്നതു?

37. Who was it that spake, and it was done, when , My Lord, had not commanded?

38. അത്യുന്നതന്റെ വായില്നിന്നു നന്മയും തിന്മയും പുറപ്പെടുന്നില്ലയോ?

38. Out of the mouth of the Most High, Proceed there not misfortunes and blessing?

39. മനുഷ്യന് ജീവനുള്ളന്നു നെടുവീര്പ്പിടുന്നതെന്തു? ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ പാപങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു നെടുവീര്പ്പിടട്ടെ.

39. Why should a living son of earth complain, Let a man complain because of his sins?

40. നാം നമ്മുടെ നടുപ്പു ആരാഞ്ഞു ശോധനചെയ്തു യഹോവയുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കു തിരിയുക.

40. Let us search out our ways, and examine them well, and let us return unto Yahweh;

41. നാം കൈകളെയും ഹൃദയത്തെയും സ്വര്ഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ ദൈവത്തിങ്കലേക്കു ഉയര്ത്തുക.

41. Let us lift up our heart, to the opened palms, to the Mighty One in the heavens;

42. ഞങ്ങള് അതിക്രമം ചെയ്തു മത്സരിച്ചു; നീ ക്ഷമിച്ചതുമില്ല.

42. We, have trespassed and rebelled, Thou, hast not pardoned.

43. നീ കോപം പുതെച്ചു ഞങ്ങളെ പിന്തുടര്ന്നു, കരുണകൂടാതെ കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

43. Thou hast covered thyself with anger, and pursued us, hast slain hast not spared;

44. ഞങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥന കടക്കാതവണ്ണം നീ മേഘംകൊണ്ടു നിന്നെത്തന്നേ മറെച്ചു.

44. Thou hast screened thyself with the clouds, that prayer, should not pass through;

45. നീ ഞങ്ങളെ ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില് ചവറും എച്ചിലും ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

45. Offscouring and refuse, dost thou make us, in the midst of the peoples.

46. ഞങ്ങളുടെ ശത്രുക്കളൊക്കെയും ഞങ്ങളുടെ നേരെ വായ്പിളര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

46. With their mouth, opened wide over us, stand all our foes.

47. പേടിയും കണിയും ശൂന്യവും നാശവും ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു ഭവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

47. Terror and a pit, have befallen us, tumult and grievous injury;

48. എന്റെ ജനത്തിന് പുത്രിയുടെ നാശംനിമിത്തം നീര്ത്തോടുകള് എന്റെ കണ്ണില്നിന്നൊഴുകുന്നു.

48. With streams of water, mine eye runneth down, over the grievous injury of the daughter of my people.

49. യഹോവ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നു നോക്കി കടാക്ഷിക്കുവോളം

49. Mine eye, poureth itself out and ceaseth not, without relief;

50. എന്റെ കണ്ണു ഇടവിടാതെ പൊഴിക്കുന്നു; ഇളെക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

50. Until Yahweh out of the heavens shall look forth, and see,

51. എന്റെ നഗരത്തിലെ സകലസ്ത്രീജനത്തെയും കുറിച്ചു എന്റെ കണ്ണു എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ വ്യസനിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

51. Mine eye dealeth severely with my soul, because of all the daughters of my city.

52. കാരണംകൂടാതെ എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളായവര് എന്നെ ഒരു പക്ഷിയെപ്പോലെ വേട്ടയാടിയിരിക്കുന്നു;

52. They, have laid snares, for me as a bird, who are mine enemies without cause:

53. അവര് എന്റെ ജീവനെ കുണ്ടറയില് ഇട്ടു നശിപ്പിച്ചു, എന്റെ മേല് കല്ലു എറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

53. They have cut off, in the dungeon, my life, and have cast a stone upon me;

54. വെള്ളം എന്റെ തലെക്കുമീതെ കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകി; ഞാന് നശിച്ചുപോയി എന്നു ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞു.

54. Waters, flowed over, my head, I said, I am cut off!

55. യഹോവേ, ഞാന് ആഴമുള്ള കുണ്ടറയില്നിന്നു നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

55. I have called upon thy Name, O Yahweh, out of the dungeon below;

56. എന്റെ നെടുവീര്പ്പിന്നും എന്റെ നിലവിളിക്കും ചെവി പൊത്തിക്കളയരുതേ എന്നുള്ള എന്റെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥന നീ കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

56. My voice, thou hast heard, do not close thine ear to my respite, to mine outcry;

57. ഞാന് നിന്നെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിച്ച നാളില് നീ അടുത്തുവന്നുഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

57. Thou drewest near, in the day I kept calling on thee, thou saidst, Do not fear!

58. കര്ത്താവേ, നീ എന്റെ വ്യവഹാരം നടത്തി, എന്റെ ജീവനെ വീണ്ടെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

58. Thou hast pleaded, O My Lord, the pleas of my soul, hast redeemed my life;

59. യഹോവേ, ഞാന് അനുഭവിച്ച അന്യായം നീ കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ വ്യവഹാരം തീര്ത്തുതരേണമേ.

59. Thou hast beheld, O Yahweh, my failure to get justice, Pronounce thou my sentence;

60. അവര് ചെയ്ത സകലപ്രതികാരവും എനിക്കു വിരോധമായുള്ള അവരുടെ സകലനിരൂപണങ്ങളും നീ കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

60. Thou hast seen all their vindictiveness, all their plots against me.

61. യഹോവേ, അവരുടെ നിന്ദയും എനിക്കു വിരോധമായുള്ള അവരുടെ സകലനിരൂപണങ്ങളും

61. Thou hast heard their reproach, O Yahweh, all their plots against me;

62. എന്റെ എതിരികളുടെ വാക്കുകളും ഇടവിടാതെ എനിക്കു വിരോധമായുള്ള നിനവും നീ കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

62. The lips of mine assailants, and their mutterings, are against me, all the day;

63. അവരുടെ ഇരിപ്പും എഴുന്നേല്പും നോക്കേണമേ; ഞാന് അവരുടെ പാട്ടായിരിക്കുന്നു.

63. On their downsitting and their uprising, do thou look, I, am their song.

64. യഹോവേ, അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം അവര്ക്കും പകരം ചെയ്യേണമേ;

64. Thou wilt render to them a recompense, O Yahweh, according to the work of their hands;

65. നീ അവര്ക്കും ഹൃദയകാഠിന്യം വരുത്തും; നിന്റെ ശാപം അവര്ക്കും വരട്ടെ.

65. Thou wilt suffer them a veiling of heart, thy curse to them;

66. നീ അവരെ കോപത്തോടെ പിന്തുടര്ന്നു, യഹോവയുടെ ആകാശത്തിന് കീഴില്നിന്നു നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും.

66. Thou wilt pursue in anger, and wilt destroy them, from under the heavens of Yahweh.
