1. യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

1. And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying:

2. മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ സോര്പ്രഭുവിനോടു പറയേണ്ടതുയഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുനിന്റെ ഹൃദയം നിഗളിച്ചുപോയി; നീ ദൈവമല്ല മനുഷ്യന് മാത്രമായിരിക്കെഞാന് ദൈവമാകുന്നു; ഞാന് സമുദ്രമദ്ധ്യേ ദൈവാസനത്തില് ഇരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

2. 'Son of man, say to the leader of Tyre: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because thy heart hath been high, And thou dost say: A god I [am], The habitation of God I have inhabited, In the heart of the seas, And thou [art] man, and not God, And thou givest out thy heart as the heart of God,

3. നീ ദൈവഭാവം നടിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു--നീ ദാനീയേലിലും ജ്ഞാനിയല്ലോ; നീ അറിയാതവണ്ണം മറെച്ചുവെക്കാകുന്ന ഒരു രഹസ്യവുമില്ല;

3. Lo, thou [art] wiser than Daniel, No hidden thing have they concealed from thee.

4. നിന്റെ ജ്ഞാനംകൊണ്ടും വിവേകംകൊണ്ടും നീ ധനം സമ്പാദിച്ചു പൊന്നും വെള്ളിയും നിന്റെ ഭണ്ഡാരത്തില് സംഗ്രഹിച്ചുവെച്ചു;

4. By thy wisdom and by thine understanding Thou hast made for thee wealth, And makest gold and silver in thy treasuries.

5. നീ മഹാ ജ്ഞാനംകൊണ്ടു കച്ചവടത്താല് ധനം വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിച്ചു; നിന്റെ ഹൃദയം ധനംനിമിത്തം ഗര്വ്വിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു--

5. By the abundance of thy wisdom, Through thy merchandise, Thou hast multiplied thy wealth, And high is thy heart through thy wealth.

6. അതുകൊണ്ടു തന്നേ യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു

6. Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because of thy giving out thy heart as the heart of God,

7. നീ ദൈവഭാവം നടിക്കയാല് ഞാന് ജാതികളില് ഉഗ്രന്മാരായ അന്യജാതിക്കാരെ നിന്റെ നേരെ വരുത്തും; അവര് നിന്റെ ജ്ഞാനശോഭയുടെ നേരെ വാളൂരി നിന്റെ പ്രഭയെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കും.

7. Therefore, lo, I am bringing in against thee strangers, The terrible of the nations, And they have drawn out their swords Against the beauty of thy wisdom, And they have pierced thy brightness.

8. അവര് നിന്നെ കുഴിയില് ഇറങ്ങുമാറാക്കും; നീ സമുദ്രമദ്ധ്യേ നിഹതന്മാരെപ്പോലെ മരിക്കും.

8. To destruction they bring thee down, Thou diest by the deaths of the wounded, in the heart of the seas.

9. നിന്നെ കുത്തിക്കൊല്ലുന്നവന്റെ കയ്യില് നീ ദൈവമല്ല, മനുഷ്യന് മാത്രം ആയിരിക്കെ, നിന്നെ കൊല്ലുന്നവന്റെ മുമ്പില്ഞാന് ദൈവം എന്നു നീ പറയുമോ?

9. Dost thou really say, 'I [am] God,' Before him who is slaying thee? And thou [art] man, and not God, In the hand of him who is piercing thee.

10. അന്യജാതിക്കാരുടെ കയ്യാല് നീ അഗ്രചര്മ്മികളെപ്പോലെ മരിക്കും; ഞാന് അതു കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

10. The deaths of the uncircumcised thou diest, By the hand of strangers, for I have spoken, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.'

11. യഹോയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

11. And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying:

12. മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ സോര് രാജാവിനെക്കുറിച്ചു ഒരു വിലാപം തുടങ്ങി അവനോടു പറയേണ്ടതുയഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു! നീ മാതൃകാ മുദ്രയാകുന്നു; നീ ജ്ഞാനസമ്പൂര്ണ്ണനും സൌന്ദര്യസമ്പൂര്ണ്ണനും തന്നേ.

12. 'Son of man, lift up a lamentation for the king of Tyre, And thou hast said to him: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Thou art sealing up a measurement, Full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.

13. നീ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ തോട്ടമായ ഏദെനില് ആയിരുന്നു; താമ്രമണി, പീതരത്നം, വജ്രം, പുഷ്പരാഗം, ഗോമേദകം, സൂര്യകാന്തം, നീലക്കല്ലു, മാണിക്യം, മരതകം മുതലായ സകലരത്നങ്ങളും നിന്നെ മൂടിയിരുന്നു; നിന്നെ തീര്ത്തനാളില് നിന്നില് ഉള്ള തടങ്ങളുടെയും കൂടുകളുടെയും പണി പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടുള്ളതായിരുന്നു.

13. In Eden, the garden of God, thou hast been, Every precious stone thy covering, Ruby, topaz, and diamond, beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, emerald, and carbuncle, and gold, The workmanship of thy tabrets, and of thy pipes, In thee in the day of thy being produced, have been prepared.

14. നീ ചിറകു വിടര്ത്തു മറെക്കുന്ന കെരൂബ് ആകുന്നു; ഞാന് നിന്നെ വിശുദ്ധദേവപര്വ്വതത്തില് ഇരുത്തിയിരുന്നു; നീ അഗ്നിമയരഥങ്ങളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ സഞ്ചരിച്ചുപോന്നു.

14. Thou [art] an anointed cherub who is covering, And I have set thee in the holy mount, God thou hast been, In the midst of stones of fire thou hast walked up and down.

15. നിന്നെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ച നാള്മുതല് നിങ്കല് നീതികേടു കണ്ടതുവരെ നീ നടപ്പില് നഷ്കളങ്കനായിരുന്നു.

15. Perfect [art] thou in thy ways, From the day of thy being produced, Till perversity hath been found in thee.

16. നിന്റെ വ്യാപാരത്തിന്റെ പെരുപ്പംനിമിത്തം നിന്റെ അന്തര്ഭാഗം സാഹസംകൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞു നീ പാപം ചെയ്തു; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് നിന്നെ അശുദ്ധന് എന്നു എണ്ണി ദേവപര്വ്വതത്തില് നിന്നു തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞു; മറെക്കുന്ന കെരൂബേ, ഞാന് നിന്നെ അഗ്നിമയരഥങ്ങളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേനിന്നു മുടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

16. By the abundance of thy merchandise They have filled thy midst with violence, And thou dost sin, And I thrust thee from the mount of God, And I destroy thee, O covering cherub, From the midst of the stones of fire.

17. നിന്റെ സൌന്ദര്യംനിമിത്തം നിന്റെ ഹൃദയം ഗര്വ്വിച്ചു, നിന്റെ പ്രഭനിമിത്തം നീ നിന്റെ ജ്ഞാനത്തെ വഷളാക്കി; ഞാന് നിന്നെ നിലത്തു തള്ളിയിട്ടു, രാജാക്കന്മാര് നിന്നെ കണ്ടു രസിക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം നിന്നെ അവരുടെ മുമ്പില് ഇട്ടുകളഞ്ഞു.

17. High hath been thy heart, because of thy beauty, Thou hast corrupted thy wisdom because of thy brightness, On the earth I have cast thee, Before kings I have set thee, to look on thee,

18. നിന്റെ അകൃത്യബാഹുല്യംകൊണ്ടും നിന്റെ വ്യാപാരത്തിന്റെ നീതികേടുകൊണ്ടും നീ നിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരങ്ങളെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കി; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് നിന്റെ നടുവില്നിന്നു ഒരു തീ പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കും; അതു നിന്നെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും; നിന്നെ കാണുന്ന ഏവരുടെയും മുമ്പില് ഞാന് നിന്നെ നിലത്തു ഭസ്മമാക്കിക്കളയും.

18. From the abundance of thy iniquity, By the perversity of thy traffic, Thou hast polluted thy sanctuaries, And I bring forth fire from thy midst, It hath devoured thee, And I make thee become ashes on the earth, Before the eyes of all beholding thee.

19. ജാതികളില് നിന്നെ അറിയുന്നവരെല്ലാവരും നിന്നെ കണ്ടു സ്തംഭിച്ചുപോകും; നിനക്കു ശിഘ്രനാശം ഭവിച്ചിട്ടു നീ സദാകാലത്തേക്കും ഇല്ലാതെയാകും.

19. All knowing thee among the peoples Have been astonished at thee, Wastes thou hast been, and thou art not -- to the age.'

20. യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

20. And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying,

21. മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ സീദോന്നു നേരെ മുഖംതിരിച്ചു അതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു പ്രവചിച്ചു പറയേണ്ടതു

21. 'Son of man, set thy face unto Zidon, and prophesy concerning it;

22. യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുസീദോനേ, ഞാന് നിനക്കു വിരോധമായിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് നിന്റെ നടുവില് എന്നെത്തന്നേ മഹത്വീകരിക്കും; ഞാന് അതില് ന്യായവിധികളെ നടത്തി എന്നെത്തന്നേ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുമ്പോള് ഞാന് യഹോവ എന്നു അവര് അറിയും.

22. and thou hast said: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I [am] against thee, O Zidon, And I have been honoured in thy midst, And they have known that I [am] Jehovah, In My doing in her judgments, And I have been sanctified in her.

23. ഞാന് അതില് മഹാമാരിയും അതിന്റെ വീഥികളില് രക്തവും അയക്കും; ചുറ്റിലും നിന്നു അതിന്റെ നേരെ വരുന്ന വാള്കൊണ്ടു നിഹതന്മാരായവര് അതിന്റെ നടുവില് വീഴും; ഞാന് യഹോവ എന്നു അവര് അറിയും.

23. And I have sent into her pestilence, And blood into her out-places, The wounded hath been judged in her midst, By the sword upon her round about, And they have known that I [am] Jehovah.

24. യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹത്തെ നിന്ദിച്ചവരായി അവരുടെ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള എല്ലാവരിലുംനിന്നു കുത്തുന്ന പറക്കാരയും നോവിക്കുന്ന മുള്ളും ഇനി അവര്ക്കുംണ്ടാകയില്ല; ഞാന് യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു എന്നു അവര് അറിയും.

24. And there is no more to the house of Israel A pricking brier, and paining thorn, Of all round about them -- despising them, And they have known that I [am] the Lord Jehovah.

25. യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹത്തെ അവര് ചിതറിപ്പോയിരിക്കുന്ന ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില്നിന്നു ശേഖരിച്ചു. ജാതികള് കാണ്കെ എന്നെത്തന്നേ അവരില് വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുമ്പോള്, ഞാന് എന്റെ ദാസനായ യാക്കോബിന്നു കൊടുത്ത ദേശത്തു അവര് പാര്ക്കും.

25. Thus said the Lord Jehovah: In My gathering the house of Israel, Out of the peoples among whom they were scattered, I have been sanctified in them, Before the eyes of the nations, And they have dwelt on their ground, That I gave to My servant, to Jacob,

26. അവര് അതില് നിര്ഭയമായി വസിക്കും; അതെ, അവര് വീടുകളെ പണിതു മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടങ്ങളെ ഉണ്ടാക്കും; അവരുടെ ചുറ്റുമുള്ളവരായി അവരെ നിന്ദിക്കുന്ന ഏവരിലും ഞാന് ന്യായവിധികളെ നടത്തുമ്പോള് അവര് നിര്ഭയമായി വസിക്കും; ഞാന് അവരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്നു അവര് അറിയും.

26. And they have dwelt on it confidently, And builded houses, and planted vineyards, And dwelt confidently -- in My doing judgments, On all those despising them round about, And they have known that I, Jehovah, [am] their God!'
