1. അവന് എന്നോടുമനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ കാണുന്നതു തിന്നുകഈ ചുരുള് തിന്നിട്ടു ചെന്നു യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹത്തോടു സംസാരിക്ക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

1. He told me, 'Son of man, eat what you see. Eat this book. Then go and speak to the family of Israel.'

2. ഞാന് വായ്തുറന്നു, അവന് ആ ചുരുള് എനിക്കു തിന്മാന് തന്നു എന്നോടു

2. As I opened my mouth, he gave me the scroll to eat,

3. മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, ഞാന് നിനക്കു തരുന്ന ഈ ചുരുള് നീ വയറ്റില് ആക്കി ഉദരം നിറെക്ക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു; അങ്ങനെ ഞാന് അതു തിന്നു; അതു വായില് തേന് പോലെ മധുരമായിരുന്നു.

3. saying, 'Son of man, eat this book that I am giving you. Make a full meal of it!' So I ate it. It tasted so good--just like honey.

4. പിന്നെ അവന് എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതുമനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു എന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ അവരോടു പ്രസ്താവിക്ക.

4. Then he told me, 'Son of man, go to the family of Israel and speak my Message.

5. അവ്യക്തവാക്കും കനത്ത നാവും ഉള്ള ജാതിയുടെ അടുക്കല് അല്ല, യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കലത്രേ നിന്നെ അയക്കുന്നതു;

5. Look, I'm not sending you to a people who speak a hard-to-learn language with words you can hardly pronounce.

6. അവ്യക്തവാക്കും കനത്ത നാവും ഉള്ളവരായി, നിനക്കു വാക്കു ഗ്രഹിച്ചുകൂടാത്ത അനേകം ജാതികളുടെ അടുക്കലല്ല; അവരുടെ അടുക്കല് ഞാന് നിന്നെ അയച്ചെങ്കില് അവര് നിന്റെ വാക്കു കേള്ക്കുമായിരുന്നു.

6. If I had sent you to such people, their ears would have perked up and they would have listened immediately.

7. യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹമോ നിന്റെ വാക്കു കേള്ക്കയില്ല; എന്റെ വാക്കു കേള്പ്പാന് അവര്ക്കും മനസ്സില്ലല്ലോ; യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹമൊക്കെയും കടുത്ത നെറ്റിയും കഠിനഹൃദയവും ഉള്ളവരത്രെ.

7. 'But it won't work that way with the family of Israel. They won't listen to you because they won't listen to me. They are, as I said, a hard case, hardened in their sin.

8. എന്നാല് ഞാന് നിന്റെ മുഖം അവരുടെ മുഖത്തിന്നു നേരെ കഠിനവും നിന്റെ നെറ്റി അവരുടെ നെറ്റിക്കു നേരെ കടുപ്പവും ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

8. But I'll make you as hard in your way as they are in theirs.

9. ഞാന് നിന്റെ നെറ്റി തീക്കല്ലിനെക്കാള് കടുപ്പമുള്ള വജ്രംപോലെ ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അവര് മത്സരഗൃഹമെങ്കിലും നീ അവരെ പേടിക്കരുതു; അവരുടെ നോട്ടം കണ്ടു ഭ്രമിക്കയുമരുതു.

9. I'll make your face as hard as rock, harder than granite. Don't let them intimidate you. Don't be afraid of them, even though they're a bunch of rebels.'

10. അവന് പിന്നെയും എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതുമനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, ഞാന് നിന്നോടു സംസാരിക്കുന്ന വചനങ്ങളൊക്കെയും ചെവികൊണ്ടു കേട്ടു ഹൃദയത്തില് കൈക്കൊള്ക.

10. Then he said, 'Son of man, get all these words that I'm giving you inside you. Listen to them obediently. Make them your own.

11. നീ നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന് പുത്രന്മാരായ പ്രവാസികളുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു, അവര് കേട്ടാലും കേള്ക്കാഞ്ഞാലും അവരോടു സംസാരിച്ചുയഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു പറക.

11. And now go. Go to the exiles, your people, and speak. Tell them, 'This is the Message of GOD, the Master.' Speak your piece, whether they listen or not.'

12. അപ്പോള് ആത്മാവു എന്നെ എടുത്തുയഹോവയുടെ മഹത്വം സ്വസ്ഥലത്തുനിന്നു അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടുമാറാകട്ടെ എന്നു ഞാന് വലിയ മുഴക്കത്തോടെ ഒരു ശബ്ദം എന്റെ പിറകില് കേട്ടു.

12. Then the Spirit picked me up. Behind me I heard a great commotion--'Blessed be the Glory of GOD in his Sanctuary!'--

13. ജീവികളുടെ ചിറകു തമ്മില് തട്ടുന്ന ഒച്ചയും അവയുടെ അരികെയുള്ള ചക്രങ്ങളുടെ ഇരെച്ചലും വലിയ മുഴക്കമുള്ളോരു ശബ്ദവും ഞാന് കേട്ടു.

13. the wings of the living creatures beating against each other, the whirling wheels, the rumble of a great earthquake.

14. ആത്മാവു എന്നെ എടുത്തുകൊണ്ടുപോയി; ഞാന് വ്യസനത്തോടും മനസ്സിന്റെ ഉഷ്ണത്തോടും കൂടെ പോയി, യഹോവയുടെ കൈ ശക്തിയോടെ എന്റെ മേല് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

14. The Spirit lifted me and took me away. I went bitterly and angrily. I didn't want to go. But GOD had me in his grip.

15. അങ്ങനെ ഞാന് കെബാര്നദീതീരത്തു പാര്ത്ത തേല്-ആബീബിലെ പ്രവാസികളുടെ അടുക്കല്, അവര് പാര്ത്തെടത്തു തന്നേ എത്തി, അവരുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ ഏഴു ദിവസം സ്തംഭിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു പാര്ത്തു.

15. I arrived among the exiles who lived near the Kebar River at Tel Aviv. I came to where they were living and sat there for seven days, appalled.

16. ഏഴു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതു എന്തെന്നാല്

16. At the end of the seven days, I received this Message from GOD:

17. മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, ഞാന് നിന്നെ യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹത്തിന്നു കാവല്ക്കാരനാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ എന്റെ വായില്നിന്നു വചനം കേട്ടു എന്റെ നാമത്തില് അവരെ പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കേണം.

17. 'Son of man, I've made you a watchman for the family of Israel. Whenever you hear me say something, warn them for me.

18. ഞാന് ദുഷ്ടനോടുനീ മരിക്കും എന്നു കല്പിക്കുമ്പോള് നീ അവനെ ഔര്പ്പിക്കയോ ദുഷ്ടനെ ജീവനോടെ രക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന് തന്റെ ദുര്മ്മാര്ഗ്ഗം വിടുവാന് അവനെ ഔര്പ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടും ഒന്നും പറകയോ ചെയ്യാഞ്ഞാല്, ദുഷ്ടന് തന്റെ അകൃത്യത്തില് മരിക്കും; അവന്റെ രക്തമോ ഞാന് നിന്നോടു ചോദിക്കും.

18. If I say to the wicked, 'You are going to die,' and you don't sound the alarm warning them that it's a matter of life or death, they will die and it will be your fault. I'll hold you responsible.

19. എന്നാല് നീ ദുഷ്ടനെ ഔര്പ്പിച്ചിട്ടും അവന് തന്റെ ദുഷ്ടതയും ദുര്മ്മാര്ഗ്ഗവും വിട്ടുതിരിയുന്നില്ലെങ്കില് അവന് തന്റെ അകൃത്യത്തില് മരിക്കും; നീയോ നിന്റെ പ്രാണനെ രക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

19. But if you warn the wicked and they keep right on sinning anyway, they'll most certainly die for their sin, but you won't die. You'll have saved your life.

20. അഥവാ, നീതിമാന് തന്റെ നീതി വിട്ടുമാറി നീതികേടു പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചിട്ടു ഞാന് അവന്റെ മുമ്പില് ഇടര്ച്ച വെക്കുന്നുവെങ്കില് അവന് മരിക്കും; നീ അവനെ ഔര്പ്പിക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടു അവന് തന്റെ പാപത്തില് മരിക്കും; അവന് ചെയ്ത നീതി അവന്നു കണക്കിടുകയുമില്ല; അവന്റെ രക്തമോ ഞാന് നിന്നോടു ചോദിക്കും.

20. 'And if the righteous turn back from living righteously and take up with evil when I step in and put them in a hard place, they'll die. If you haven't warned them, they'll die because of their sins, and none of the right things they've done will count for anything--and I'll hold you responsible.

21. എന്നാല് നീതിമാന് പാപം ചെയ്യാതെയിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ നീതിമാനെ ഔര്പ്പിച്ചിട്ടു അവന് പാപം ചെയ്യാതെ ഇരുന്നാല്, അവന് പ്രബോധനം കൈക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കയാല് അവന് ജീവിക്കും; നീയും നിന്റെ പ്രാണനെ രക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

21. But if you warn these righteous people not to sin and they listen to you, they'll live because they took the warning--and again, you'll have saved your life.'

22. യഹോവയുടെ കൈ അവിടെ പിന്നെയും എന്റെമേല് വന്നു; അവന് എന്നോടുനീ എഴുന്നേറ്റു സമഭൂമിയിലേക്കു പോക; അവിടെവെച്ചു ഞാന് നിന്നോടു സംസാരിക്കും എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

22. GOD grabbed me by the shoulder and said, 'Get up. Go out on the plain. I want to talk with you.'

23. അങ്ങനെ ഞാന് എഴുന്നേറ്റു സമഭൂമിയിലേക്കു പോയി; ഞാന് കെബാര് നദീതീരത്തു കണ്ട മഹത്വംപോലെ അവിടെ യഹോവയുടെ മഹത്വം നിലക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു ഞാന് കവിണ്ണുവീണു.

23. So I got up and went out on the plain. I couldn't believe my eyes: the Glory of GOD! Right there! It was like the Glory I had seen at the Kebar River. I fell to the ground, prostrate.

24. അപ്പോള് ആത്മാവു എന്നില് വന്നു എന്നെ നിവര്ന്നുനിലക്കുമാറാക്കി, എന്നോടു സംസാരിച്ചുനീ ചെന്നു നിന്റെ വീട്ടിന്നകത്തു കതകടെച്ചു പാര്ക്ക.

24. Then the Spirit entered me and put me on my feet. He said, 'Go home and shut the door behind you.'

25. എന്നാല് മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നിനക്കു അവരുടെ ഇടയില് പെരുമാറുവാന് കഴിയാതവണ്ണം അവര് നിന്നെ കയറുകൊണ്ടു കെട്ടും.

25. And then something odd: 'Son of man: They'll tie you hand and foot with ropes so you can't leave the house.

26. നീ ഊമനായി അവര്ക്കും ശാസകനാകാതെയിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് നിന്റെ നാവിനെ നിന്റെ അണ്ണാക്കോടു പറ്റുമാറാക്കും; അവര് മത്സരഗൃഹമല്ലോ.

26. I'll make your tongue stick to the roof of your mouth so you won't be able to talk and tell the people what they're doing wrong, even though they are a bunch of rebels.

27. ഞാന് നിന്നോടു സംസാരിക്കുമ്പോള് ഞാന് നിന്റെ വായി തുറക്കും; നീ അവരോടുയഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു പറയേണം; കേള്ക്കുന്നവന് കേള്ക്കട്ടെ; കേള്ക്കാത്തവന് കേള്ക്കാതെ ഇരിക്കട്ടെ; അവര് മത്സരഗൃഹമല്ലോ.

27. 'But then when the time is ripe, I'll free your tongue and you'll say, 'This is what GOD, the Master, says: . . .' From then on it's up to them. They can listen or not listen, whichever they like. They are a bunch of rebels!
